This was the worst event I have ever attended. We had to wait for hours before any one took the stage. The opening act was two hours late. When they finally took the stage, the micro phone and equipment did not work. This after the crew tested the equipment for two hours as we waited for someone to come on stage. No one had the decency to come to the stage and inform us why the long long waits. We just sit here as they played oldies. Once the GROUP, 'Impromptu" took the stage we saw that we were lucky the mic didn't work . They were awful!. I enjoyed the comedian, but we had another long wait after he finished. Again , this was the worse event that we have attended in San Diego ., This event was ghetto fabulous! Once I find out who organized this event, I will never attend another event sponsored by them!

The concert did not start on time, the time published was 7:00pm, the doors were not opened until 7:00pm, The show did not start until about 8:10-8:15pm and the sound was terrible so therefore another 20-30 minutes elapsed to perform sound checks. The comedian was interesting, But when he departed the stage he stated Frankie would be on in 5 minutes, it was more like 45 minutes to 1 hour 10:30pm to be exact before Frankie Beverly and Maze made their appearance. This was my first Maze concert, but Frankie is 63 years old; he shared this bit of information during a pause between sets. His voice has changed with age of course. The band was good so the audience could still remanice from the hits of long ago and are still favorites. But Frankie's voice has deteriorated with age.

I truely enjoyed the performance. I would suggest turning the lead singer's mic up a notch to make him stand out more. It seemed like he was straining to be heard at times.

I attended the Maze concert in Austin on November 8. 2009. Along with Maze was Kyle Turner, Michael Ward, Ronnie Laws and others. Although, the performances were great. I was totally dissatisfied with the venue. The exposition and heritage center, in my opinion is not a place for musical performances.

Babyface's performance was spectacular; although, I thought his performance in Dallas several weeks earlier was longer and even better. I have seen Frankie Beverly & Maze many times in the past and this performance was simply phenomenal, AGAIN!! I did not like the venue, open seating, or lack of air conditioning and parking.

Frankie Beverly does NOT show his age in his performances; They performed most, if not all of everyone's favorites; Babyface shocked everyone by interacting with the audience; he is really down-to-earth; I was a bit disappointed that he didn't sing more of HIS hits; instead he chose to perform songs he'd written for other artists. All in all, the concert was nice.

I really enjoyed the concert. Babyface was ok but Frankie Beverly and Maze blew me away.. I now understand why my brother in law goes every year.... As far as the municipal building, I paid for a particular area but was unable to sit there and had to sit up top.. the staff could careless if I go my purchased area and the ones that acted like they cared, was clueless what to do.....

The concert was awesome. Babyface was extremely good also. I had never seen him in concert before and he did very well. He spoke with the audience and performed. I would recommend seeing him again. Frankie And Maze performance seems to get better each concert we have traveled to see. He was well worth the ride. They all blend in greatly with one another. He can still bring the house down even as he reminds us he about to turn 63 years of age. Keep looking to the hills for which cometh your health.God bless and thank you all.

Frankie Beverly hasn't lost a thing after all these years. The music, the singing and the sound was outstanding. Frankie and his band performed for an hour and a half straight with high energy and with the audience in the palm of their hands. The Crowd was made up of Maze fans who knew all of the songs and sang along with lots of joy and gusto! Babyface was good but his mike wasn't loud enough and he didn't have any back up singers. That part of the concert could stand lots of improvement. Overall it was and outstanding and memorable concert in that I finally got to see Frankie Beverly and Maze in person and it was well worth the wait and the money for the tickets.

The show was AMAZING !!!! I enjoyed myself so much. This was a date night for my husband and myself. The only thing that upset me , was I thought that my seats would be closer. They are ok , but I like to sit on the floor closer to the stage., that is why I always buy the most expensive tickets. I am from St. Louis, and ticketmaster has me spoiled so I was a little disappointed with my seats.

Due to technological reasons the show did not start on time, however I would pay for it again! Frankie Beverly and Maze Was Worth Every Penny!!! I did however feel bad because there was quit of older people there and they were standing up for a long time waiting to be seated but as I stated in the End it was Worth the Wait! Maze was really good; however, Frankie Beverly should probably let this be his last tour, as he was struggling with his voice quite a bit. LOVE HIM, but sadly, it seems to be his last run. The band for Maze however, was awesome. So, they still kept the audience going. Keith Sweat's voice sound way better than back in the day when he was really popular, in my opinion, so he was s treat and a great entertainer. The AWFUL part of this, which puts a damper on the whole show & the reason for my rating of '3'......Atlanta Civic Center had us wait to get in because they had NO STAFF to take the tickets (we were told)! THEN an 'agent' said they were dong a sound check (should've been done during the day way BEFORE the show)! They were totally incompetent & unprofessional!! Show starts at 8 pm & we didn't get in until 8:45! TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!! I never want to go back there for a concert...EVER!! It's a shame to have so many good artists at a venue that doesn't care about being organized!!

This was my first time seeing Bobby Womack or The Isley Brothers in concert. We had a ball. Bobby Womack took us back to the days of yesterday to some songs I had forgotten. I hadn't seen Frankie Beverly and Maze in over 25 years and finally was able to catch a last minute purchase for a fifth row seat. The energy was high, love was in the air, the music was awesome, people were standing on their feet, grooving and enjoying the night. I was happy to be still! On the other hand, I was hoping that I could hear some of the sweet vocals that I've enjoyed all these years...I did not. That observation can not be ignored in a honest critique and I may be the single fan who makes that remark. If someone believes that beautiful lead vocals are as important as the music, then they should be aware that there were issues from the very first song.

I have gone to see Maze feat. Frankie Beverly almost every year since I was in the 8th Grade(My first concert in Bham ,AL..The Airlines Lost or was dalayed with Frankie's "White Cap" but You know the show went on!!!) Fastforward, I just celebrated my 47th Birthday on Christmas eve and my 20 yr old daughter , who is away in school at Shaw University, could not have given me a better gift!! I can tell Mr.Beverly is getting a little more seasoned because his voice is not as strong as it use to be...That being said, I will pay to see them again!!! My Prayer is , one day I'll be able to take my daughter and son to a MAZE concert; I'd like for them to have the MAZE experience!!!

Frankie Beverly n Maze concert is a "YOU DONT WANNA MISS IT EVENT!!! If you have never been to one of his concerts go the very next time you see he will be in town. The concert and all of their concerts pull people together we share a close bond with no color lines we are just singing, laughing, you may even want to cry at times just a good feeling. Frankie is so loving, and it a cultural event. They sang We are one, & Happy feelings, Joy and Pain, and I want to thank you is spiritual. The band was off the hook "OMG" they sounded great ,I did not want to leave. I was so filled with the spirit when the concert was over I just sat there in my seat. Next time Frankie is in Town you do not want to miss him...it is a concert that you will never forget!!! I never sat down in my seat.

I had hoped the rumors were not true that Frankie's voice wasn't like it use to be. However, unfortunately the rumors are true. Even though he tried to pull it off and I enjoyed the show it was a bitter sweet situation. After seeing Earth Wind and Fire a few weeks ago and listening to Philip Bailey being able to still blow. I only wished that the clock could be turned back and I could have witnessed the Maze of old.

I I El Debarge threw down(excellent) . I thought SWV threw down too. thought Maze threw down ,but I was concern about the way Frankie Beverly's voice sounded since his cancer treatment. He was not very clear and at times he seemed to be struggling to hit his notes. Sometimes he just didn't sing the notes. I felt a little sorry for him cause he had no vocal back up.

I felt that the concert could of been a lot better, the host insulted the performers by saying "next year we need to have real music".....I was not okay with him making that comment, I paid good money for the concert. Overall I feel the concert was okay. I had a really hard time getting into it, since people where still walking after the third performer was on stage (which was SWV) Slick Rick was extemely "WACK" and SWV was tired out after singing there secound song....to me the highlight of the night was El Dabarge he hit every note as if I was back in my teenage years.....as for Maze and Frankie Beverly hands down they did there thing!!!!

I truly enjoy MAZE and as a Xmas gift my daughter gave me 2 tickets to this concert. The performance was great and Frankie Beverly sang all the blockbuster hits they are known for, but the venue was awful. Mydaughter paid over $230 for these tickets and you would think we would have had decent seats but we were about 12 rows from being in the absolute last rrow! Other patrons were rude and inconsiderate in constantly standing in the row directly in front of me totally blocking our view unless we stood in the aisle. All in all we ended up "hearing" more of the concert than having the full audio and visual experience.

I did not like the fact that I arrived at 645 p.m. and had to wait until 850 p.m. to be seated in a 800 p.m. concert because Keith Sweat was practicing for a concert singing the same songs for 20 years and live here in Atlanta. Then we finally get seated and he ask the audience to sing for him. Also they had to stage the setup for Keith sweat which was another 30 minutes for a sofa and bar setup. This was my first time seeing Keith in a concert and I will not waste my money ever again.

Franke voice appears to be going away and he should prepare to retire soon. He is my favorite but I am concern for his voice and the impact it will have on positive performances and his fans

The band Maze was amazing!! Unfortunately, Frankie Beverly was hoarse and sounded as though he was struggling. The band tried to cover and makeup for him. I have followed this act for years upon years, I felt both embarrassed and pain for Frankie. I am well aware that singers have off nights but in all these years I had NEVER experienced this from Frankie. I am up in age myself and hope that Friday was just an off night. It's unfortunate for me that this last time that I got to see Maze and Frankie that it was not up to their usual high standard. The band played wonderfully!

Frankie Beverly is always great! He continues to please his very loyal fan base. He cannot sing as he used to years ago, but this band makes up for any notes that Frankie can no longer hit. He has a way of pleasing the crowd, even without the strongest voice. I will see him again next year!

Frankie Beverly and Maze always and I mean always come with their "A" game. I have yet to be disappointed with their concerts. As a matter of fact I usually run in to others who attend their shows whenever they're in town.

This shows was the BEST. Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly put on one heck of a show.....a show that I will remember for quite some time. I saw the show three days ago and I am STILL singing the songs in my head. This is the third time I have seen them in concert and they never disappoint. The crowd was going crazy and wanted more. Wish they would come back more frequently. All fans of FB, I highly recommended you go see them.

The concert was okay. They did not perform any of my favorite songs. ... because they only performed several songs at most. If they were only going to sing a few songs. .. they should have had another band to open the concert, for them.

I had the opportunity to see Franky Beverly and Maze in Baltimore Maryland a few years ago and I did not think they could ever do any better. I WAS WRONG!! They were absolutely amazing. Frankie announced that he was 65 years old but he was moving and grooving like he was 30! I have never enjoyed a concert so much in my life. I stood up and danced the entire time! Just simply outstanding!

This show was great in spite of the bad weather earlier that day. The nice breeze just added to a perfect night of music. To be 65 he has more energy than some 20 year old. He sang all of his great hits. Well worth the price of the ticket.
