Banners
BANNERS IN CONCERT:British indie pop wunderkind Banners is a master of using dynamic shifts to heighten the emotional impact of his music. Project mastermind Michael Joseph Nelson begins songs like "Shine a Light" gently, drawing listeners in with hushed vocals and introspective lyrics before launching into soaring, drum-heavy choruses that reach for the stars. It's thrilling enough on record, but in concert the dramatic tension Banners creates takes on new power as he brings ticket buyers along for the ride. While he moves from mournful passages to perseverant refrains, his backing band provides subtle accompaniment on guitar and piano that supports his soft, soulful voice without overpowering it.

The Hollow was the perfect venue for this artist who has a great blend of accoustic and upbeat music. Fun and lively, it was a great night of music.

This was a great show. It was intimate and you could meet all the artists, take photos with them, and have them sign your cd or what not. I loved the little venue and there was good sound quality. Banners and Moth and the Flame rocked the crowd. Pop ect was also very good. I am so happy I went.

Great intimate concert. Mike from Banners and the guys from Pop Etc mingled with the crowd after their sets signing autographs and taking pix.
