Oh Sees

THEE OH SEES IN CONCERT:San Francisco psych rock outfit Thee Oh Sees has been blowing minds with their kaleidoscopic sound and freaky-fun performances since their formation in 1997. At their live shows the band's '60s-inspired guitar riffs, swirling vocals, and charging drums make for a truly transformative experience, treating concertgoers to a psychedelic blast from the past without any need for a time machine. Whether they're rocking out to the infectiously catchy "Robber Barons" or reveling in the fuzzed-out bliss of "Toe Cutter - Thumb Buster", Thee Oh Sees always treat fans to an electric and unforgettable concert experience of hallucinatory proportions.BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Thee Oh Sees first took shape in 1997 as the experimental home recording project of San Francisco-based songwriter John Dwyer.

I've been to the Teregram Ballroom twice to see OH Sees! Both times they delivered an incredible show. High energy, great sets, passionate players!

Firstly after getting used to seeing calmer shows I was not prepared for the crowd at this show. There was A LOT of moshing, which I didn't love. I spent most of the time sitting in the bar while my boyfriend stayed in the front row. The opening band was alright, the second band was spectacular The Dreemers from Akron Ohio, finally when Thee Oh Sees came on the crowd went crazy, they were really great and carried a lot of energy.

I have been listening to Thee Oh Sees for a few years, but I knew I had to see them live after watching a concert in France in its entirety on Youtube. They blew the hinges off the doors in that show, and I felt it sitting on my couch. I was not disappointed by this show. It was one of the best small shows I've ever been to, and the Teragram Ballroom has become my favorite venue for small shows. Good stuff all around.

Solid show. . .played nothing but the hits. They kept the place roaring like an inferno once they were lit up with the first song.

Security at Irving Plaza was god awful, incredibly rude and overly forceful towards show-goes. Sound engineer caused several mics to cut out for the majority of the headliner's set, which is inexcusable. Luckily all the acts on the bill were exceptional.

Thee Oh Sees offer a trip into something everyone should experience. The mixture of art, psychedelica, and in your face energy is the best I have ever seen, west coast, east coast, north, south, or anywhere on the planet. JPD and gang blow away anything out there. Geniuses at work. I saw the band sober and swear I was buzzed when I left just from the rush of seeing them perform.
