While I haven't had the opportunity to go every year, when I am able to attend Behold the Lamb of God (BtLoG), I consider it to be part of my Christmas tradition. BtLoG is simply amazing on so many levels. The lyrics, the meaning, the music itself.... nothing can quite live up. I cannot recommend the concert highly enough if you are looking for something that not only celebrates but announces and proclaims the TRUE meaning of Christmas. Andrew and "special guests" tell the Christmas story from the beginning.... Starting with the Old Testament prophets and working up to Christ's birth, and finishing with a hint of the Easter story, to give Jesus' purpose: To be the Lamb of God who takes away our sins.

I've been to all of the btlog Ryman shows, and each year seems to be a little better than the last. Andrew brings in the btlog tour group but also special guests just for the one evening. The annual trip to Nashville for this show is a tradition for me, and I hope I never have to miss one.

This annual concert at the Ryman was excellent. We loved the various performers and the casualness with which they shared with the audience. This was our first year to attend and we found that many folks return year after year to experience this concert. We would definitely drive from out of town again at the holidays to attend. The musical quality was most excellent!!! Five stars for that!

A combination of magnificent musicianship, Spirit led worship/performance, and an eager audience/congregation made the concert a true worship service. Stellar players backed Andrew, as is customary for an Andrew Peterson show. The show itself is profoundly simple and brilliantly executed. This is true even when lyrics are forgotten and performers' afflictions revealed. It is a joy to participate in the chemistry and rapport that Mr. Peterson has with those who have ears for his message and calling. On this occasion, I brought two guests who were uninitiated to Andrew's extensive catalogue. They could not find the superlatives to describe the experience. May this continue to be a blessing ro both audiences and those upon the stage.

My husband and I drove 11 hours to attend this concert in celebration of our 28th wedding anniversary! We couldn't have been more blessed and are so thankful to have experienced this worshipful and prayerful concert. Each artist contributed perfectly to the legacy of Rich and the message of Christ Rich conveyed thru his music and lyrics. Thanks to all who invested their time and talent in performing Ragamuffin... praise the LORD!!!

How do you top Andrew Peterson and friends doing a tribute to Rich Mullins including a really challenging album note for note? Cool guests and videos, really a perfect evening except the benches/ pews at the Ryman are not comfortable. That was the only detracting but worth it!

Andrew Peterson's music is genuine, thoughtful, and heartfelt. His Behold the Lamb of God concert enables the audience to discover anew the magic of Christmas: From a humble heritage, Jesus came to earth in the flesh, dirty and crying. May we never grow weary of hearing this true tall tale!

My wife and I have been attending Andrew Peterson's Behold the Lamb of God for several years now. We find it to be one of the most original shows out there at Christmas time. The first half also showcases the originality and strength of the Nashville music scene. This year's show was the best one we have ever attended, highlighted by Marc Martel and the Gray Havens in addition to the always strong Andy Gullahorn and Jill Phillips.

I SO enjoyed the Andrew Peterson Concert!!! We are big fans of both Andrew Peterson and friends and Rich Mullins. It was like being with family and talking about old times. I felt drawn into the music and the lyrics. The musicians were amazing! I brought my family and met friends there - and all of them said this was an impressive concert! I'm hoping they will take it on the road some - though I know that can't be an easy life. But I'm hoping, one way or another, this concert will be available to many across the USA and beyond. It was one of the most encouraging things I've been to in a long time. My only issue was we were seated under the balcony and had no view of the screen for the video the band shared of Rich Mullins. Sadness. Next time at the Ryman I will book tickets in the balcony.

Note for note, word for word, Andrew Peterson breathes new life into the vivid music of Rich Mullins. The artistry and performance of Peterson & Friends was transcendent! This show should tour America. As a lifelong lover of Rich's music, I wondered if anyone else could "do it justice." Andrew Peterson served the music with laughter, love, and precision. It was an impeccable presentation that far exceeded my hopes & dreams. I hope this offering was not a once in a lifetime event. It was perfection.

Andrew and friends Andy Gullahorn, Jill Phillips, Ben Shive and several others, backed by an awesome band, played many of Rich Mullins great songs, including his seminal album "A Liturgy, A Legacy, and a Ragamuffin Band " from start to finish. Complete with string section, hammered dulcimer, accordion, Irish whistle and Ullman pipes, they faithfully recreated the album note for note. It was just an incredible performance and tribute to the late great Rich Mullins.

My Dad was there for the Rich Mullins tribute, my 10 year old daughter was there to see the author of Wingfeather, and I was there to see both Andrew Peterson and hear the Rich tribute. What an unforgettable evening! The joy was palpable, from the performers to the audience. Everyone near us was from out of state - Nebraska, Texas, etc. We were from Illinois and Wisconsin. Everyone was drawn together through their shared love of the music of Rich Mullins. Only Andrew Peterson could have pulled off an evening like that, with performers of that caliber. I know I'm gushing, but that was an evening I won't ever forget. Thank you for that opportunity! (And I got to see my college idol - Leigh Nash! I was thrilled!)

This year marks the seventeenth annual performance of "Behold the Lamb". It has become a Nashville tradition for many, but this was my first time to experience it. This is a stellar combination of talent, virtuosity, teamwork and worshipful wonder. The first half showcases the individual artists gathered, and the second half is a seamless musical celebration of the story of redemption in the Bible. What Andrew Peterson has inspired, organized and facilitated is the kind of remarkable evening that draws people to Music City and keeps us here.

Sorry, Andrew, and no offense, but glad you had plenty of friends. Loads of awesome talent, gotta say not a big fan of Jill, good voice, but nothing special for as much as she sang. "Labor of Love" could have been done by someone with a neat sound. Glad you got to include your kids, that was sweet.

This is and will always be my favorite event to attend every year. Such an amazing experience with incredible artists. Behold The Lamb of God is probably the best Christmas Album. AP nails the story of Christ with an incredible musical homage to God and what He was/is up to. This year with Cindy Morgan and Josh Garrels made it all the better. Randall Goodgame singing with his family a incredibly powerful song with words only from scripture may have brought the entire house to weeping as we remember what Christ did for us on the cross. And as always, Jill Phillips with her amazing voice and poignant lyrics. Her husband, Andy Gullahorn there to Ninja Kick us all with his songs. The only man to sing a song about Donald Trump and somehow end it with a theological discussion about what is real. Amazing amazing show.

This is the second time I've seen Behold The Lamb of God at the Ryman and I was not disappointed! Even though I knew the basic set up of the night I was still excited to hear what each artist would do with their time "In the Round" and loved hearing all of the songs. I was introduced to Cindy Morgan and absolutely loved her. Also it was my first time to hear Josh Garrels LIVE and he was extraordinary. This year's version of BTLOG was the same as before but altogether different at the same time. Songs had a different feel with some different musicians and singers in the mix but the overall sound was excellent and compelling. My daughter Avery and I will be back again!

This concert is downright amazing. The artists are top notch and the Behold the Lamb of God arrangement is as unique, musically excellent, and worshipful as you will find. Only problem was the sound tech this year. It was extremely loud and the voices were drowned out by the instruments. Needed to turn down the instrument channels a good bit. I feel like I missed the best parts with the lyrics and the vocal harmonies. It won't stop us from coming back, but I did feel like my CD at home sounded better than the performance. You never want that from a live show.

Enjoyed the format of various singer/songwriters and the variety of songs. The second half of the show was wonderful as it traced the birth of Christ from Old Testament to New. Ovens Auditorium remains a terrible venue for a concert with its poor acoustics. Much, if not almost all of the lyrics of unfamiliar songs were unintelligible in that theatre. If the venue changes for his next tour through Charlotte, I will go. If back at Ovens, count me out.

Andrew Peterson's "Behold the Lamb of God" is hands down one of the best events you and your family or friends could enjoy together in the holiday season. Not only does it set the Christmas story in its original context (tracing its roots back through the Old Testament), but Andrew & friends do it with some first class skill in beautifully written music. On top of that, the first half of the concert showcases the individual artists and their solo work, along with Andrew's storytelling and disarmingly warm connection that make you feel like you've been friends for years. I drove 3 hours to see this show (only my second one). I'll easily do the same thing every year for such a rare gem of performance, personal connection, and--honestly--worship.

I just don't get it. I've heard from a few of my friends for a years how much they have loved this concert. I've been wanting to go for 3 years now since I've heard amazing things about it. Well, this year I splurged and bought tickets to the Ryman in Nashville. The concert opened with a Rich Mullins song that was great. A few minutes into the show, Andrew explained that the concert begins with different artists singing their songs and then there is a break and the second half is playing through the Behold the Lamb CD. I would say that if you really like the singer/songwriter/artsy/original (you've probably never heard it before) kind of music then you might like it. I liked some of the songs. (Let me just say that I've been to many songwriter shows too -I live in Nashville!- and have really enjoyed them...most of them were country though and the songs were easy to understand and catchy. We stayed for about 3 songs of the second half and then left. We left mostly because the sound was so bad (loud!!) where we were sitting. Different seats would have made a difference. My husband told me later that as soon as we sat down (before it started) he was disappointed that we couldn't really see the stage and players...I guess I need to leave the ticket buying to the musician in the family! I hate to leave a bad review, but I just wanted people to know what to expect. I would advise buying the Behold the Lamb CD and listening to it at home. I like Andrew Peterson's music, but don't plan to attend this again.

First time to see Andrew Peterson and friends, and first time at the Ryman, and I will never forget either. Such an amazing group of musicians and equally amazing venue. First half was a great variety with everyone playing a couple of songs. Second half was Behold the Lamb of God. If you have never seen this live make plans to go next Christmas - very powerful, yet entertaining at the same time. I knew the evening would be special when he started off with Rich Mullins' "Creed". Can't wait till next year! Note: we had obstructed view seats but could still see very well...

We are new to Nashville, and this was our first experience at the Ryman and our first time hearing Andrew Peterson live in concert. Both were phenomenal! I absolutely loved the flow of the concert. I was amazing to hear so many other artists in the first half of the evening, and then end with the Christmas set.

My wife and I have gone to Andrew Peterson's Christmas concert most years for the last 10 years. I think it gets better every year. It is especially good when we can see it at the Ryman Auditorium. I can't think of any better way to celebrate the Christmas season than to focus on Christ. I also love the way that he ends the concert. It really is an amazing spiritual experience. We pretty much have made it a yearly tradition and I anticipate we will continue to do so.

Once again, the greatest Christmas show ever! What a spectacular night. Andrew Peterson is such a warm, entertaining collector of talent. The musicians that play are more talented than any you'll hear on radio and their songs are heartfelt and real. The first half of the show was "in the round" and featured many talented singer/songwriters and to top it off, the lead singer from Switchfoot was an unannounced special guest - only in Nashville. This show makes my Christmas season and the Ryman is such a special venue for this show and the sound and acoustics are beyond compare. I am counting the days until next year.

This concert was one of the most amazing musical performances I've been a part of in my life. I'm hesitant to review this b/c I don't want it to sell out before I can get tickets next year:) But truly, so much talent. What an amazing night of worship, musical talent and truly getting to know the artists in an intimate setting at the Ryman. Thank you for doing this year after year, Andrew Peterson. We loved it!

The Andrew Peterson concert was very disappointing. It was a group of local artist that seemed to all be friends with Andrew. Their voices were good but they had written their own songs and oh my!! We left at the intermission. It also was very long. I expected a more professional show at the Rhyman. Also it was a week before Christmas and not even a Christmas decoration on stage.

We have gone 8 years and we wouldn't miss it for anything. It's an amazing and unique show that focusses on the most important aspect of Christmas...the coming of our Messiah.

I've been to see Andrew Peterson a couple of times with my girlfriend and we went to Behold the Lamb of God last year. This year we traveled to Tennessee to the Ryman in Nashville...WORTH IT! With all the amazing artists he has along with him, it's like several concerts in one night. Wonderful time (and date night).
