Dave and Tim delivered the most inspiring acoustic performance I have ever experienced.

I was psyched up for this show, the only Dave and Tim show all summer, and in my hometown no less. Unfortunately, I thought this show was a major letdown, especially after just having seen Phish the week before. I've been going to Dave shows for almost 15 years, and especially over the last 8-10 years, they've gotten progressively worse. The music has become predictable and boring and the lyrics are completely uninspiring. I'm sure the hardcore Dave fans will argue this till they're blue in the face, but any real fan of music can see this decline. As for last night's set - there was nothing that stood out. Stay or Leave was probably the highlight, but every song was pretty straight without much deviation. Little to no improv and even most of Dave's "jokes" were recycled from other shows. Bottom line for me is that Dave is for kids who don't know better and who haven't graduated on to real music.

Unbelievable music. I could have listened to them for days and not grown tired of it. There are no better musicians on the planet. Dave Matthews' voice just gets better and better.

Two guitars, one voice....when Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds perform together, the purity of the songs is unbelievable. Tim is a genius on the guitar, playing like NO ONE I've ever heard before. Dave is a vocal master, creating an intense roller coaster ride from high to low notes and back again. No one should miss the opportunity to see this duo. The DC show was half concert, half comedy show. Dave was hilarious and had us laughing so hard, we cried.

You can't go wrong hearing Dave Matthews accoustic show accompanied by one of the greatest guitar players ever, Tim Reynolds. Dave is much more intimate with the audience than when he plays with the DMB. Well worth it, if you are a true DM fan!

An evening with the music and musings of Dave Matthews and his erstwhile, but silent guitar superstar friend Tim aka Timie Reynolds. Dave shared stories of life, song, growing older, wit, reason, advice and mirth. He also was in amazing and melodic voice against arguing for at least one or two all acoustic numbers in each DMB concert. Also while I would have liked to have heard the Stream, Gravedigger and Proudest Monkey the two solos, the interludes, Dancing Nancies, Ants Marching, Corn Bread and Seven songs were amazing!!

I've always wanted to see the Dave/Tim acoustic show, ever since I bought Live at Luther College many years ago, but they rarely come to DC. What a treat! Dave was chatty and happy, and told some hilarious stories (Monistat & Monoxidil & ranting about the media). Acoustics were great, his mike levels could have been adjusted a bit. Great show.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds really showed their guitar skills, and Dave's vocal proficiency in an unplugged mellow set. They played a lot of new stuff that I did not know, but for the devoted fans that really follow them, that was probably refreshing and I did not mind. They changed up the melodies and cut songs short of a jam, but it was consistent with the style of the show. I do not know how Tim makes his guitar sounds like that; sometimes like a violin and sometimes a harmonica. Just beautiful. And Dave has a future in stand-up comedy if he quits his day job.

I have waited countless years for Dave and Tim to play a show in my area and was beyond excited to go see them in DC. The show blew my mind! Dave and Tim were amazing! Dave kept the audience laughing between songs with funny stories and the rapport between the two of them was hysterical! They played for well over 2 hours and covered a wide variety of songs from the DMB catalog. My only disappointment, no #41. I really had my hopes up and was praying to hear it since it my favorite song but no luck. They did do many of my other favorites, so I will have to keep my fingers crossed that it will be played at one of the other 4 DMB shows I will be attending this summer. While the performance was awesome, the venue was not so great. There is NO parking anywhere near DAR Constitution Hall - all parking garages (and there were very few) closed at 8 or 9pm, so we were forced to find on-street parking in downtown DC during rush hour traffic - it ended up taking us over 1 1/2 hrs to find a legal parking space! I was pleasantly surprised that even though we literally sat in the very last row, we were still able to see very well - the place is pretty small. I did not see any security anywhere, so I was able to take some really good pictures. Towards the end of the show, people figured out that there was zero security in the place and started moving up towards the stage and filling the aisles - lucky them! I would have, too, if I wasnt sandwiched in the middle of the aisle in the nose-bleed section! LOL Also, the venue stops serving refreshments at 9pm sharp - and Im not just talking alcohol, I mean EVERYTHING. We could not even buy a bottle of water, even after practically begging them! Venue issues aside, I really enjoyed the show! If you haven't seen them yet, I highly recommend!!!

We have been waiting a long time to see Dave and Tim without the band and they did not disappoint! I love the venue! Dave and Tim are incredibly gifted musicians and this often gets lost in the context of the band.

I have seen DMB several times, but this was my first Dave and Tim show, and what a show it was. 3 hours of non-stop music with a double encore. Dave really seems to enjoy playing with Tim. He also was a bit silly. Nice light show too.

This was a bucket list concert for me so when I heard they were touring I didn't care how much I had to pay to go see them. I have watched them live on DVD but of course seeing them in person is what it's all about. It was an asking show and you can tell they pour their heart and soul into the music. I would definitely go see them again if given the chance. Highly recommend.

Great show. The sound mix was atrocious. Instruments either too loud or not loud enough. The PA was tuned too low so you couldn't hear or make out the lyrics. What a train wreck the place made of an otherwise great evening

Dave Mathews and Tim Reynold put on an excellent show for over 3 hours, in our first experience in the Smart Financial Centre, which is 2 miles from our house. We were excited to see the inside of the venue, since it has just "officially" opened 10 days earlier. We have always wanted to see the Dave Mathews Band, but unfortunately, they have usually only play at the Woodlands, and we are not excited about sitting outside in the heat and humidity of Houston, TX, in the summer, which is usually 9-10 months out of the year around here. So having the opportunity to see an icon of our generation of music was truly exciting for us. Dave did talk some politically, about his left-leaning beliefs, but not enough to incite anyone or insult a fairly conservative area of the country, although he did draw applause for some of his statements. As I said, he never incited the crowd, or mentioned anyone by name, always respectful with his language and views, but he did mention "The Wall" a few times, even referring to Pink Floyd's version as the most appropriate! Tim Reynolds and his virtuoso guitar playing was a thing of beauty, and was the perfect side-kick to Dave's vocals and own rhythm-playing guitar and piano accompaniment. We were more than pleased with our decision to attend this outstanding evening of musical entertainment1

CMAC is the next SPAC! Dave and Tim is all you need to see, forget the band!

The venue was gorgeous, awesome sound, not a bad seat in the house...and of course, Dave and Tim put on an amazing show!

The show couldn't have been better! The remodeled Saenger Theatre was breathtaking!!!

Dave & Tim put on an amazing show at the Oakdale on 11/19/11. They revived their song Halloween (acoustic) for the first time since 1999 and it was mindblowing. It's such a treat to watch Dave and Tim in the intimate setting of a small theatre. Hearing the stories Dave tells in between songs makes you feel special and Tim's solos are outstanding. The one downfall to these shows (and any DMB show really) is the fans. There will always be those people who can't sit down and shut up and bring attention to themselves. Dave usually has to call people out and tell them to be quiet... embarassing really. However, if you can ignore those jerks, the show will be something you won't soon forget.

This show is one of my favorites. I have been a Dave Matthews Band fan for a long time, but when I heard Dave and Tim together, I immediately knew it was something special. It's just pure music - simple, classic sounds that come together beautifully. Tim always plays at least one solo which is mind blowing and it's so impressive how talented he is. Dave is also hilarious and does a lot of talking to the audience which is really cool. I hope they keep coming back to Planet Hollywood because I will be there each year.

My husband and I went to see Dave and Tim for our Christmas present to each other. It was an unexpected pleasure since we thought we were seeing Dave Mathews Band and also Tim Reynolds. When it turned out to be just the Dave Mathews(without the band) and Tim it was still worth going to see. I didn't know Dave was such a comedian as well. We have never been to Planet Hollywood to see a concert, I would go back again. We were still able to see their performance from where we were seated quite well, except for most people around us decided they like to stand instead of sitting.

Dave & Tim never disappoint! They played a pretty long set, and an encore of 4 songs to boot. The opening act, The Head & the Heart were great too.

You would think you were listening to a five piece band, considering some of the sounds and percussion like rhythms coming from these guitars. A nice mixture of material, including some hits and a little humor.(or a lot) It was an adopted local guy doing a local show in a small venue. The sound was great! I think the fast acoustic guitar (almost flaminco) was fun but I would like to hear Tim slow it down a little more at times to contrast.

Hands down the best Dave concert I've been too. Haven't been to a Dave & Tim concert yet but I will jump at another chance to see them. They played all my favorite songs (ok, I love all the songs so I can't really say that) but seriously. You get what you pay for. I feel like I got a lot more than I paid for. Greatest moment: Dave started playing "Dive In", said "bear" instead of "man" in the first verse. He STOPS EVERYTHING and says "wait, wait, wait. Did you guys just hear that? I just said 'bear' instead of 'man'. Now if I saw a bear on the side of the road you'd KNOW I was high!" After some (ok, alot) of laughter he goes..."how do you get serious after that?" And they procede to play Dive In with the blue construction hats they walked on stage wearing.

This is by far one of the most amazing shows i have ever been too!!!

Dave and Tim put on a GREAT show!! It was my first Dave concert and it was certainly a night to remember! Dave is so funny while he is talking to the audience in between his songs. I would recommend anyone to go and see Dave and Tim!!!

This Dave and Tim show was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I have seen Dave over 15 times. I cannot get enough and this was the best! CMAC was great. Easy to get drinks and food. Security was so nice and easy going in the best ways possible.

We once again enjoyed the acoustic sound of Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds and appreciate the long set list and random conversation. It was another delightful evening at CMAC.

Always enjoy Dave and Tim at CMAC. It's like a jam session but for thousands! Its a summer tradition for us. Ticketing was problematic. I purchased my groups tickets only to find out the transfer option was not available. That created some issues as we weren't all arriving together. Still loving the summer concert season!

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are so amazing. It is rare that you find a musician that sounds the same, if not better live. You don t need to be a Dave fan to enjoy these shows you just have to appreciate music.

Dave and Tim never disappoint. CMAC seems to have solved some issues they had last year. Getting in was much faster and more vendors meant less lines.

This was our first time to Blossom Music Center, and it was really nice. The selections where really nice, the only down side was the portable beverage venues did not take credit card, but that was easiest enough to work around. I have been to about 8 of Dave's shows, and this was by far the best concert of his yet!! The playlist was great, some of my favorite songs where played, and songs that I have not heard at any of his concerts, and some I have only heard a few times. It was AMAZING!!

Full house, full sound!! Love these guys together.

Great show! If I were to do it again, which I will, I would get a seat instead of sitting on the lawn. Acoustic shows are a bit quieter, so harder to hear when lost in the crowds on the lawn.

I've been to several DMB shows and this is my second Dave and Tim show. This was by far the best show I've ever been to. They played all the great stuff the band was built on. They played for three hours and my daughters and I loved every minute of it.

I hope they release this show as a live album. They played an amazing set and were totally on. Dave announced that his son was there and a couple got engaged which Dave shared with the crowd. Timmy was on fire. I brought my family and my younger son who was not a huge fan absolutely loved it!

Was looking forward to my first Dave Matthews concert but since was not the Dave Matthews band was too mellow.

I see Dave Matthews, with the band or with Tim Reynolds, every time he is at Blossom. This by far was his best performance in the last 10 years. The set list was perfect, and both he and Tim sounded like they could play all night. That was the best 2 1/2 hour concert I have been to in a long time!

The sound quality could have been better. It was mumbled and not loud enough. Venue workers behind us talked the entire concert, which was rude!!!

I've seen plenty of Dave Matthews Band, and have loved each and every show. But my gosh, seeing just Dave and Tim together was so neat. They played with so much energy, and it's mind-boggling to see what Tim can do on that guitar. The 2 of them playing together is like 2 peas in a pod. Saturday night was perfect!

Truly an awesome experience. Cold windy night down by the beach. Dave was humble,sweet,lucid and entertaining. He and Tim were tight,soulful And extraordinary. They brought out a few guest artist to join them and made major,meticulous music from a small tribe of musicians.Loved the show & so thankful to have been part of the wonderful experience..

heard the lawn sound was bad at pnc arts center. the sound for this show was as good as any show i have seen there or any other similar venue.

We traveled a few hours to get to this venue and we stay in a local hotel. It's worth it every year! Such a great place to see a concert, especially Dave Matthews. The sound system is great and I haven't found a bad seat! The tailgate party on the front lawn was awesome too! That was a great idea! With Dave and Tim both on guitar, with no other instruments, the music was so pure, the song lyrics were so understandable and they rocked the place!

Watching Dave and Tim together is truly remarkable. These 2 make you completely forget that the rest of the band is missing due to their undeniable skillmanship on the guitar.

Wow! What an incredible duo. Their guitar playing was simply amazing and Dave's banter with the audience was fun. The show was fantastic. They performed for almost 3 hours; even starting the show late because so many people were stuck in traffic. I'd go see them again in a heartbeat!

Loved the show. The venue was disorganized, with new security practices it made for a bottleneck at entry. The PD was amazing in the lots - IDing tailgaters that looked underage and leaving those of us who were of age, be.

After seeing the Dave Matthews Band more than a dozen times, we were super excited for an all-acoustic set with Dave and Tim. Our expectations were exceeded a thousand-fold, and I even shed a tear or two with the beautiful emotions invoked! Hands-down, this was one of the best live shows we have ever experienced. I loved how Dave watched Tim's immaculate riffs and seemed to be as equally mind-blown as we were! Between Dave's songwriting and Tim's playing, it was an evening we will never forget and look forward to the next show! Highly, highly recommend - HUGE fans we are - yay!!!!

While I've seen DMB a few times, this was my first Dave and Tim show as well as my first time at CMAC. Venue had great acoustics and fairly comfortable seating for an outdoor amphitheater. The playlist was awesome! Psyched to hear Halloween and Cornbread! Tim was impressive on the guitar and it was fantastic to hear Kashmir!

Sat in middle of the lawn sound was awesome Dave's voice was great and it was hard to believe that it was only 2 guys with electric acoustic guitars making that great music! The only view screen was having some issues but did not ruin the music! The crowd control went out the window once the show started making it difficult to get to restrooms if needed!

This was my first time at CMAC and first Dave Matthews show. The venue was great, and the show was AH-MAZING!!! I heard there were some difficulties at the gates, but my friend and I had no problems.

The show was over all excellent. This was my first time seeing them. The only thing I was upset about was people smoking there recreational stuff around my daughter and I.They should have better security for this.

Dave and Tim did it again! Amazing show, cant wait to see the band back on tour next summer!

This show was the second time I have seen Dave and Tim perform together. They are simply amazing guitar players! With Dave's voice and both their guitar playing techniques, there are really no words to describe how fabulous this show is! They played for three hours! They did a wonderful tribute to Greg Allman with "Sweet Melissa".

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds were fantastic! The show was a solid three hours with many of the hits you wanted to hear. Unfortunately we had to listen to several of these while still standing in line to get into CMAC. The show was scheduled for 7:30 and started the usual 30 minutes late which was fortunate for us and many hundreds of people still waiting to get in. Hopefully this can be addressed some how.

Dave and Tim were great!! I have followed the Dave Matthews Band for 20 years and this is my first time seeing the Dave and Tim show. Despite being acoustic, the show was amazing and really shows off their talent. Also my first time at CMAC. It is a beautiful venue. Sitting on the side of a hill there is no bad seat.

Dave never disappoints. Such a fantastic show. I would however, never go back to CMAC for a show. We were unable to get through the line and were 1/2 late to the show.

This is between the 70th and 80th time I've seen Dave Matthews over the past 20 years all over the world, and he is still enjoyable each time. He still hits the long notes, and while I've seen Tim with him and the band before, the two of them together alone is absolutely magical. The Mann is a WONDERFUL spot to see a concert in Philadelphia, EASILY the best open air concert venue in the Philadelphia area.

Another great show! Great playlist! Hope to see them again in the future!

Best show ever at Daily's Place! You need to see these 2 if possible!

If you appreciate good times, fantastic music, and simply a chill night...check out Dave and Tim live! Holy smokes. I've been a DMB fan for many years and have seen the full band in concert um, many many times; however there is nothing like a man and his guitar (oh and his best bud who plays the meanest guitar around!). Dave not only played some of his best songs acoustic style, but he was personable, funny and just a whoot! That night Dave just kept saying "I'm in the mood"....well it showed...through his musikality! Dave and Tim get it. They know how to jam and they know what to give the audience and fans that adore them. I cannot wait for the next time around with the two of them....just upset I made the mistake of not getting tickets for both nights!! Some of my other favorite songs were played the second night, bummed I missed it.

Great show, was glad to see them back together again
