Shall We Dance On Ice

What an amazing experience to see this show live!! A very unique thing to see the phenomenal and accomplished ice skaters and ballroom dancers! Loved the journey through dance on the ice & ballroom floor!!

Great to see Olympic gold medalists meryl davis and charlie white headline. As well as see dwts pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Maks). MnM danced twice for us and it was spectacular. Definitely recommend if they have same caliber of stars and of course meryl and maks together again.

Our second year attending Shall We Dance on Ice in Bloomington, IL We enjoyed this year's show better because we were closer to the ice and could see the skaters much better. The show was very good, but we were a little disappointed that the Olympic skaters didn't perform as much as some of the other couples who were not medal winners. They were all excellent and did a great job, but it would have been more enjoyable to see Meryl and Charlie and Tanith and Ben do more skating. Our seats were away from the stage where the dancers performed and a TV cameraman on a platform blocked our view. Even if he had been standing on the floor, rather than on a platform, it would have improved our line of sight.

The show was awesome. The only downside was they didn't have the big screens hanging. Our seats were at the north end with the stage at the south end. It was difficult to see the dancers that were up on the stage. They announced that the show will be returning next year and we definitely plan to attend. Hopefully they can put up the screens that you see at most concerts so it is easier to see the dancers.

The Shall We Dance on Ice production was absolutely wonderful. A fan of figure skating for years, I am often disappointed in skating shows because of their loud (an in my opinion) inappropriate music for skating. Not so with Shall We Dance. Music choices couldn't have been better except for the unfortunate selection of a singer and her music. Show was billed as dancing on ice and floor - why was this singer there. Without that number the show would have been "perfect." Could have watched the cast "dance all night" on the ice and on the floor. Disappointed Max did not dance more - but certainly enjoyed Louie and Demitri. All the numbers were a very interesting blend of group skating and features of the dance couples. As I said the I could not have enjoyed it more until the last number with the singer. The director for the television show wanted to retake some of the group numbers and certain spots in the show. This after the show skating (Max and Meryl's tango was danced for us again too) was very enjoyable and made me forget the poor singer number. I hope for next year's show they stick strictly to dancers.

It was great... I think it was very well organized. I think that it could have started at 7 pm instead of 7:30. We live out of town & it was a late night for a work night.

The entire script for the show was a little hokie. This was our first live ice skating show, and the skating was fun to watch. We came to see Meryl Davis and Charlie White, as well as Maks from Dancing With the Stars. They were the headliners and the sole reason we bought the tickets. Maks danced exactly one dance. Let me repeat. ONE dance. Meryl and Charlie did not skate the whole first part of the show. The show started late and there was a 25 MINUTE intermission. When they did finally skate, Charlie and Meryl were beautiful. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. And then they were done. Show could have been spectacular, but was way too lite on the true star power.

The talent level of the skaters and dancers was spactacular . I was sad that we only saw Max for one short dance. I wish I would have been able to see the dancers better from my seat

I loved the show but would have liked the overhead big screen used as we couldn't see the dancers. Also would have liked to see much more of Maks!! And get Kristi Y. Doing something, too!

I love to dance and watch figure skating, so to see both together was wonderful.

What a combination! Ice dancers and DWTS celebs. It was such a fun show to watch. Of course, it didn't hurt that we had seats five rows from the ice. All the skaters were excellent; but I was waiting for Meryl and Charlie to skate... and dance. The frosting on the cake was being part of an event that was being taped which meant we saw several pieces of the show twice. Loved seeing Meryl and Maks reprise their Argentinian Tango!

Show was very nice. Choreography, lights, music everything was good.

This show was so much more than I even thought it would be! I am a super fan of Dancing With The Stars so I was excited to see the pros. And Charlie and Meryl - WOW. But all the other pairs champions were wonderful as well. The talent in this show was above and beyond what anyone would think. I bought my tickets as soon as they went on sale in July and I will do the same next year when the show is brought back in Dec 2015.

I felt like a lot of the songs were slow and didn't get the crowd excited. The dancers were at the far end of the ice, they were out there for such a short time and you could hardly see them. I think Max only performed once. The musical act at the end was good but didn't fit in with the rest of the musical styles of the night. The ice skating was fantastic!

Great Skating from Olympic athletes. The tribute to Torvil and Dean's Bolero by Ice Dance teams of Davis/White, Belbin/Agosto and Lang/Tchernyshev was beautiful! Seeing 2 DWTS champions in Meryl Davis and Rumer Willis side by side is so enjoyable. what a lovely dance from these ladies.

Show was great. Sadly my future husband was unable to make it and he was surely missed. Enjoyed Rumer but hate that she was under the weather. Charlie and Meryl were amazing As always! Really enjoyed the kerrs. Would have loved to see Charlie and Tanith dance together. Great show! Will be there next year for sure!

This was an amazing show. I wish more popular dancers from DWTS would've been there or more of them. The ones there did a great job. There was a lot of advertisements on Rumor Willis being there however, she had a very small role and was disappointed. She was so good on the show. Meryl and Charlie White were fabulous. The rest of the ice dancers were too. It was so good I'd see it again. It was being filmed for television so there was one part they had to do several retakes. Didn't bother me, it was kind of fun to watch.

Was a really good show. I would recommend anyone that has a chance to see this. The show was recorded to be aired on TV- that was kind of exciting.

Excellent show. The ice dancing was amazing, the on stage dancing was excellent, and the music was also excellent.

Second year this show was in Bloomington. I understand that they were recording it for future broadcast, but it just seemed like there was no spark to the show at all. Last year, the show flowed a lot better, but this year, meh! The hosts this year came out once, before the show began just to give a short speech. Then they were never seen again. For an event that said it was going to feature Kristi Yamaguci and Rumer Willis, they were never seen outside of that brief 2-3 minute introduction. Rumer danced one dance and that was it. The skating seemed OK, but again, since the focus was more on recording for a TV audience, it appeared they were playing to the cameras instead of the crowd. The musical act, some Disney kid, did OK, but not memorable at all. I do feel bad for the performers though as it seemed like the arena was half empty and that could be discouraging to the performers. Overall, it was just meh...

This is the second time I've seen this program. Attended last year and had 4th row seats, splurged this time and had on-ice seating. The location is very easy to access, and I really enjoy the smaller arenas for ice shows. I'm amazed that more people don't attend.

Show was very enjoyable. The Ice Dancing was fast paced and entertaining. Could not enjoy the dancing from our seats, need to get the dancers to the middle of the arena at some point in the show!

The show itself was excellent and the ice skating performances were beautiful. However, we were very disappointed with the lighting. Instead of a darkened room with spotlights on the skaters, there were bright lights above them that were shining in our eyes throughout the entire show. The stage area for the dancers, had constant colored flashing light beams throughout their segments, so we could not really see much of that portion of the program even though our seats were directly across from the stage. It may have been better if it is possible to have a mobile platform for the dancers that could be moved to the center of the rink when they perform. They likely used the special lighting effects for the television broadcast. However, since they are already booked for a return show in December 2015, I hope they will take these comments into consideration to make the viewing a better experience for the live audience. I am glad it will be televised so I have the chance to see what I missed at the live show.

Show was great but would have liked to see more of Max & Merryl & Charlie

Outstanding performances by the figures skaters and the DWTS pros. Good to see some of the other ice dancers, but Charlie and Meryl were tops. Head and shoulders above all. The DWTS pros showed how adaptable they were. Good to see Sharna again with Charlie - what a duo! Max and Meryl were terrific. Can't wait for next year's show. Only bad spot for me (and other around me voice similar sentiments) - Bella Thorne.

The show was more like a live TV taping. Because of the studio lighting, it was very difficult to see things far away like the stage.

Dancing, skating and costumes were beautiful and impressive. Loved the music and sound system. I was glad they focused on skating and dancing, and not talking or singing. I was pleasantly surprised how much skating we saw and difficulty of routines. I would like to have seen more dancing esp. from Maks and Sharna, two of my favorites from DWTS. And Meryl, of course, but she had her hands full with skating, too. Enjoyed seeing Charlie dance. It appears his dancing has improved or he is a good "jiver". Just really enjoyed your show. I was at the matinee in Dallas of Ballroom With a Twist second row center. I Loved DWTS Season 18 with Meryl and Charlie and knew I just had to see this show. I am sooo glad I made the trip. And I will be seeing DWTS in Houston in January. Can't wait. Hope to see Sway, too. Bring it all to Houston. Super fan here. Airline crew. It was my first experience seeing professional ice skating live. What a thrill !! I am a huge fan of the Olympics and look forward to seeing live skating again. A real treat seeing Charlie's fiancé skate. All the skating was fabulous. The show was fantastic and I hope to see another show combining dancing and skating. And I would like to see another show on Meryl and Charlie's tour. I highly recommend any of these shows.

This event was a beautiful tribute to the history of dance!! The performers both on and off the ice were amazing, so talented, and entertaining. The costume were gorgeous!! Everyone, including the announcers did and fantastic job. I will go again next year for sure! There was only one problem. Bella Thorne. What in the world was she doing there? She did not go with the theme of the event. She looked ridiculous trying to dance after all the wonderful dancing we had seen from skaters and dancers. Her music did not go with the theme of the event. Next time I will research the singer and leave before they start if it appears they would likely leave a bad mood after such a wonderful evening. I was very disappointed in the finale focused on her.

Ok but not great. Max C only did one dance. Davis and White did 3 on ice and 1 ballroom dance each.

Meryl & Charlie were amazing to watch I just wish they would have skated more. The other couples did a phenomenal job as well!

The skating was fine, but you could not see the dancers very well due to the lighting. Certain colors were more difficult to see than others. It would have been nice to have TV monitors so you could see the dancers. We had the camera swinging around in front of us the whole time. We tried not to let it bother us but it was a bit distracting. If we would have known ahead of time this was being taped for TV we maybe wouldn't have gone. Very disappointed that Maks was only on stage for about 1 minute. Obviously he was brought along just to sell more tickets.

Show was amazing. Meryl and Charlie simply beautiful. Actually went to see Maksim dance so a little disappointed that he only danced ONE dance. Other than that, no complaints! Truly enjoyed the show!

We truly enjoyed seeing such a caliber of athletes. But it started a bit late and the intermission was a bit long.

I really enjoyed the show. Wished Maks was on more, though.

My girlfriend and I went to the show mostly because Maks and Meryl were performing. We enjoyed the athleticism of these professional skaters. Kristi Yamagucci needed a bit more rehearsal as the MC. We were disappointed that Maks performed only one number. If you go sit on the sides. We sat and the end and the dancers on the small stage were very far away.

It was very well put together and entertaining. Plan to attend next year if you have it.

We have enjoyed figure skating for many years and have watched every season of Dancing With the Stars. We would like to have seen Meryl and Charlie do more skating as well as more dancing with Maks and Sharna. Seeing Tanith and Ben skate more and maybe with Charlie and Meryl would have been fun. The "troop" got more ice time than the stars! We were seated at the opposite end from the dance stage which made it a bit difficult for us to see the dancing. But we did have a fun evening, despite the small seats available at the US Cellular Coliseum venue!

We were very entertained by the performances of the participants. The dancing and ice skating were professional and well executed. The stars related well to the audience and delivered an enjoyable, fun experience.

Why say staring Maks, Meryl, or Charlie? Maks was only in stage dancing once. Also Meryl and Charlie only skated 3 or 4 times the whole show. Not worth the money I payed. Luckily I like all ice dancing is it wasn't a complete loss.

It was fantastic to see a show centering on ice dance, even if they had to use the connection to Dancing With The Stars to gain additional audience. I wish we could have had more ice dance - especially solos from the amazing teams - but it was still great

I loved the theme of the show and all the skaters were incredible. It was a really neat idea to have the dwts and sytycd dancers included in the act too. Loved the show so much my mom and I might just have to go again next year when the show comes back to Bloomington!

It was an awesome show! Great selection of skaters and the combination of skating and dancing was excellent.

Great lineup of skaters and dancers. Program was well thought out and performances were all great. Also enjoyed the skating and dancing by the local club before and during intermission. Depending on the line up of skaters, I will definitely go again next week. Took my granddaughter and she loved it.
