Bale Folclorico Da Bahia

They are unbelievably, unbeaten, unique, I can see them all the time.

The Balé Folclorico Da Bahia was amazing. The dancers and singers performance was beyond believe. I do not regret one moment or money spent to see the show. The amazing colorful costumes, the dancers movements, the songs reminded the me of La Guarachera de Oriente, Doña Celia Cruz. The bongos, drums, etc., gave me a sense of been transported to Africa. Everyone on the show were friendly, outgoing, their energy was contagious.

Bale Folclorico da Bahia is the most amazing, extreme high energy, cultural show that I've ever seen! I've had the good fortune to travel extensively and have seen hundreds of shows but this one blew me away!! The drums were exciting, the singing was ceremonial, and the dance routine was WOW! But what I really saw was a group of Brazilian dancers who were honestly happy and really into what they were doing. At work, I hear a lot of "Oh God, it's Monday or why isn't this day over with or is it Friday yet?" People don't appreciate or like what they are doing with their lives. People don't feel connected or have joy in their souls. I saw that in this dance group. They very much connected with what they were doing and it showed!! You can't move that fast with a smile on your face and not love what you are doing!! They had to burn a 1,000+ calories during that 1.40 show. The show was worth 3x what I paid for it, and if tour comes to VA again, I would definitely see again.

This group was good enough that I am still thinking about their performance a few months later. Their performance was beautiful, artistic, powerful, and mesmerizing. I would give them 6 stars out of 5 if that was an option.

This performance was amazing. Deep grooves within the percussion and vocals, as well as amazing dancing and choreography representing the culture of Bahia.

Great Show for those interested in experience different cultures and to learn about dance and religion influences in this region of Brazil.

I thought the performance, what little I saw of it, was extremely poor. The music and singing assulated my eardrums. The costumes were plain and nothing great to look at. The footwork wasn't much and the arms appeared to be just flailing around in the air - not artistic, not pretty. After 10 minutes I could take no more and left. So it may have gotten better, but I wasn't going to stick around and find out it was giving me such a headache.
