It was a very good show, especially since I was moved closer to the stage. Something about my seating area being used for screens and audio equipment. It turned out just great for me. I could the performances a lot better and all the artists were great and presentable. No complaints whatsoever.

It was great, Good music, great performances by all artists. The weather afterwards was not good due to the thunder, lighting and rain when we were ready to leave but we can't control mother nature. Thanks.

Here's some thoughts from my spouse - a diehard Tejano fan for the last 50 years. Where were some of these great artists? Why weren't they nominated: Los Palominos, Ramon Ayala, Joe Posada (on the list in the program book but did not appear), Duelo - (so hot right now and strange that they were not nominated), Juan P. Moreno and Marcos Orosco. Hope next time you showcase all the Tejano talent! Should there be a different way to choose the nominees? Let's not miss out on these other great artists so Tejano music won't die!

Show was spectacular. Attendees have to be reminded of the expected quirks when watching a live show. The stars (most of them anyway) were extremely gracious and mingled with the crowd. Many of them were so patient and allowed fans to take photos, etc. without the hooplah of a security entourage.

The show itself was a star studded event that had me on my feet and whooping for my favorite musicians and later had me deep in my seat fighting back tears as Emilio announced his return to Tejano Music while hugging his brother Raul on stage. The tejano talent made the event a amazingly memorable event and well worth my time and effort to attend. My only criticism was in the organization of the event. The paying public were kept outside the municipal auditorium until just minutes before the scheduled start of the event. In 90+ dgree weather - folks were crowded in the park accross the street, folks were crowded into the patio area in front of the auditorium, and folks were crowded around any area with shade because the doors didn't open until minutes before the scheduled start. Once the doors opened, the public was only allowed into the lobby. Folks who actually went into the auditorium area and found their seats were asked to leave and go back into the lobby. That happenned twice as I stood in the lobby crowded elbow to elbow with hundreds of others. We were finally allowed to take our seats 15 minutes before the scheduled start time then the show started 10 minutes late. Several times during the show, there were akward moments when things went wrong and everything just stalled. The first act was announced 6 times before anyone showed up on stage. Paul Rodriquez add libbed and killed 15 minutes during one of these stalls. The base speakers went bad half way through the show and just caused an annoying vibration any time loud music was played. The teleprompter was placed where attendees could easily block it causing more problems for the presenters. Finally, the sound technician had an extremely difficult time working the sound settings causing the volume and mix of many performances to migrate wildly. Sometimes the background was all you could hear then the singer was all you could hear, then the mix would be corrected only the have the volume go too far up and those bad base speakers ruin things again. I know this was a real headache to put together and these things just happen, however there were too many and they caused a real distraction. If not for the Tejano stars that attended and made the evening such a memorable one, I would not return.

The Tejano Music Awards 2010 was amazing, fantastic. Lots of surprises. Aside of some glitches, being tapes for television later, it didn't take away from the show. Paul Rodriguez was so, so, don't really care for his type of humor, I plan to attend every year from now on.

I enjoyed all the wonderful artists at the Tejano Music Awards, but David Archuleta's performances were standouts! His elegant "No Me Queda Mas" was stunning . . . and his "Como La Flor" duet with Pete Astudillo was such a heartfelt tribute to Selena that it, too, brought cheers from the appreciative audience. Selena would love David's beautiful voice. passionate delivery & dedication to music! <3

This was my first attendance at the Tejano Music Awards and I absolutely loved every minute!!! Great performances, loved the music and most especially the Emcee. I was unfamiliar with Tejano music; however, the awards sold me on the music. Will be on my list to listen to. Looking forward to the next awards.

Paul Rodriguez was great, the performance was great. However the type of seating was not as expected. It was autiditorium seating. It was difficult to see the show with the person in front of me. I think the seating should have been all tables. Everyone would be at eye level. Futhermore, it was uncomfortable seating next to one another unable to get in and out of your seat.

The Selena tributes were wonderful and Paul Rodriguez was a hoot. The best surprise was Emilio Navaira performing with his brother. We had great seats - two of the nominated and honorees were at our table. All the celebrities were very approachable and so nice - the red carpet and limo arrivals really turned up the excitement level pre-show. One strange/bad taste idea - why was Paul R. pushed to the stage in a wheelchair - we didn't get it?

Loved the whole show, but my favorite was when the Selena Tribute included David Archuleta, he sang "No Me Queda Mas" and duet with Pete Astudillo, "Como La For". What an amazing performer!! Over all I really enjoyed the whole event, so many talented Tejano artists!!

We love going to this event. This year much much better organized. We were so happy that Carlos Guzman was finally recognized for all he has done for tejano music. Awesome!! Our only regret was that tejano music is .moving towards other venues. There are so many tejano musicians out there that should be recognized. Where was Little Joe, David Lee Garza, Ruben Ramos, Los Chamacos, all the ones that tejano music is indebted to? What s all this rap stuff? Bring back the good old stuff before it's gone forever!!!!

Where is the Tejano Music headed to?????? Very disappointed with the overall presentation of the show. Particularly the up and coming "so called" Tejano bands that were present. Such as "Los Apples", what the hell was that!!!!! Our group are lifelong Tejano Music fans that did not feel the present of what Tejano Music should be. The promoter should be "fired" because I feel he sold us a bad bag of goods. If this is where Tejano Music is going to, then I'll stick to my "old school recordings". Too bad they don't make Tejano Music like they used to. Never again will we attend another Tejano Music Awards Show as such.

I went to this event to see tejano stars and listen to tejano music. Didn't get much of it. I understand that new talent needs to be show cased but most of these acts were not tejano. Might consider changing the name of this event to the latino music awards.

Organized, timely and the dancers gave a unique highlight to the event. Seems like Ram and Jay could have sung more than one song. It was an awesome ending with the gospel songs , especially with Una Simple Oracion with Javier Galvan!

I grew up with Tejano music, even my brother was in a Los Tejanos conjunto back in the day. I grew up in south Texas and got to see many old timers perform at dances and was mesmerized with their music and vocals. It truly is my musical "roots". It was commented we always come back to our roots and that Tejano is family. Sure it is. However, I was puzzled that some of the acts, even Michael Salgado!! were not playing Tejano at all and that's what i wanted to see and hear. I wish more respect for Tejano music. Emilio looked like he was really enjoying being on stage. He was really good.

Last year's venue for the awards was just laughable so I figured this year would be a major upgrade since it was being held at the Alamodome. I was proved wrong. The show started an hour late and it was all downhill from there. The winners know how bad the awards management is and didn't even take the time to show up. It's also the same awards to the same people every year because people will not venture out of their comfort zone to listen to new talent. I heard that the singer for La Diferencia was being a complete drama queen and pushed everything back. It was the worst 6 hours of my life besides the Girl in a Coma performance and the very last performance with Tracy Perez. Oh...and that radio DJ. He actually did his best to keep things moving along. Jesse Borrego would at times talk and talk about nothing. I left for a restroom break and refreshments checked the weather as it started storming out, talked to the stadium attendants a bit before returning to my seat and he was STILL talking nonsense! So painful.

First of all the show was an hour late. Announcement was made at 6:37pm saying the show will start in 5mins, NO it started over 20mins later, which made it after 7pm. The music, the performers and the MC was great. The show was not very organized. It was too too long due to all the lag time. My opinion on the screen in the middle should have been on for all performers. There were drunk people who could not handle their beer intake. A girl in the row in front of us vomited at her seat, not a very good smell. The good thing was that our seats were upgraded and had great seats. Sorry!!!

The event was unorganized and a lot of dead moments. The music and laser lighting was good other than that the late start and the very close and uncomfortable seats made the moment not so great.

I will never attend another Tejano Award Show. The best tickets were the worst. All performers except for two were lip syncing. No theme. If producers need ideas and help with coordinating then let South Texas show our talent. On giving tribute to performers that have passed on. They forgot "Cha Cha Jimenez" UNFORGIVEABLE.

The professionalism of the overall presentation was poor. The show started one hour late and then it was a lot of dead air in between the segments. The sound guys didn t deliver as expected in a show of this kind. Tejano artist and performers deserve a much better show. And considering all the technical and organization problems the set had, their performance was excellent!

Scale of 1 to 10...I give it a 7. "Girl in a Coma"...group of girls is not Tejano Music...and then there's the name...Girl in a Coma????... Latin Breed or Mazz or any other Tejano acts DO NOT perform in Rock or Country Awards?. MC Borrego was not fitted to MC in this Award Presentation...and then his style of dressing did no justice to the Awards. So he has San Antonio roots...an appropiate 100% Tejano MC with complete knowledge of Tejano Music...would of done it. Not an Actor. Yes Tejano is down but not dead. This would of been an Event to put in a Major Dent to the World that Tejano is still alive and will not go down. Still my hats off To TTMA for continuing the Annual Event and doing all on their part, including some repeated sponsers.

Performers and venue were great, however event was poorly planned. There were many times where it seemed like nobody knew what was going on. If there was a script, it was not followed well. Performers being announce to perform and not coming out on stage is unacceptable and embarrassing. If this is going to be showcased as a big time event, then preparations should be made accordingly. A couple of glitches is one thing, but this happened throughout the entire evening. The Tejano Music Awards really needs to look on how to improve the event for next year. Local radio host's advice of just don't attend if your going to complain is not the answer.

I'm a huge fan of tejano music, I've seen all of the greats all across the state of Texas. I had great expectations for this awards show and man was I disappointed !! It was apparent that the behind the scenes people were just ALL over the place. Bands introduced two and three times, and introduced some that never came out at all, everyone missing there q's, it was comical by the end of the night !! It should be to no supprises that's the last Tejano Awards Show I ever go to.

Disappointed with lack of ceremony coordination. Experienced late start, dead air space, confusion during ceremonies. Spent lots of time waiting for guess speakers, music entertainers, and MCs to arrive at podium. Lots of empty seats, paying guests noticeably leaving early. Left ceremony at 11:00 p.m., when another lapse in unused time. Won't spend that kind of money for table seats or travel again. Other paying guest at our table from different areas of Texas expressed same disappointment. Can honestly say, been there, done that.
