Although I have seen the show many times, and my husband Chuck has to be restrained from reciting verbatim the lines, the soundtrack by a live orchestra was an interesting addition. The use of subtitles, while at first distracting, was soon seen to be an intelligent choice as the music sometimes overshadowed the voices. I'm afraid this may have upset some literal purists, however, it worked for us. The audience's enthusiasm was evident as it loudly applauded many of the iconic lines. It is a sign of how films have evolved when a high school Sophomore, whom we brought to enhance her film education, remarked as it ended. "It was very good, but you said it was going to be very violent in parts, and it really wasn't." How perception have changed! It was a great evening.

The orchestra and the conductor were outstanding, and it was a privilege to listen to them! These highly trained and gifted artists did not deserve the disgraceful and disrespectful behavior of the audience. The only reason that I gave the event 4 stars and not 5 is because of the rude and inconsiderate behavior of too many audience members - their selfishness and indifference to anyone other than themselves ruined the enjoyment of this classic movie and the performance of the gifted musicians. I realize that crowd control may be difficult, but the event organizers should convey the message that the venue is a public space and not a bedroom or living room, and that when the lights dim, it is the audience's cue to stop talking and to respect the performance and the artists.

The music was just daunting. The orchestra was amazing. Watching the film with live music was an experience that cannot be expressed in words. Kudos to all involved.

Going to see one of the greatest movies of all time on the biggest screen I have ever seen in a large indoor arena with a full symphonic orchestra was 'an offer we couldn't refuse.' I'm not sure how many other movies would fit a grand scale production like this but it turned The Godfather into an opera. Every scene was more alive than I have ever experienced them on television and you felt as if you were right there with all the characters. My father and I were extremely impressed by how seamlessly they synchronized the orchestra with the actual film. At times, you couldn't tell whether the music was coming from the stage or the screen because it blended in so beautifully. I think Coppola probably wishes every audience could experience his masterpiece in this way. We're glad we did.

My wife & I along with some friends attended the show and we all thought is was fabulous. It was our first time there & would certainly go back. The movie was of course great, but the Orchestra really added such a special touch to the movie. Look forward to seeing them perform in Huntington at the Chaplin Theater.

Of course, the movie was excellent. And, the orchestra was also very good. However, the combination did not work. The orchestra was set up on the stage right in front of the screen, with the conductor blocking off whatever was on the screen behind him. The lights on each music stand, plus the conductor's light was blinding at times, also effectively lightening the movie, making it less clear, when this was supposed to be a digital upgrade. Bottom line, it was not worth $80 pp. My recommendation for any future shows like this would be to put the orchestra on the side, and back of screen, so the movie can be fully enjoyed.

The movie was always one of my favorites adding the orchestra was spectacular. The LI Symphony Concert Orchestra was splendid They did a great job. The VIP Event that came before the film was not in my opinion worth the extra $50.

The show was incredible. The only complaint is the venue was way too hot. It was uncomfortable. Having said that I would recommend this to all my friends. They should do more movies in this fashion.
