Lea was great! She really takes her stuff seriously. Her style reminds me of Barbara Streisand! She is very professional and her very long history of performing in theaters always shows in her every performance. Her facial expressions when she sings speak so much!! It was a great night with a diva who definitely deserves more recognition!

The venue is state of the art. Sound system is excellent. Lea's voice is amazing. Audience interaction is great!! I just wish she sang more Tagalog songs. I understand that Filipinos are not the only audience but we were the majority of the audience and we (at least I) long to hear Filipino songs in this kind of event.

Lea took the stage with her 6 piece band and proceeded to sing like an angel for her entire set. Lea won her Tony Award for Miss Saigon but sitting close to the stage you can see that her greatest talent is conveying the physicality and expressions of the voice of each song. When she is singing "I Dreamed a Dream" you can see that she becomes Fantine filled with the wish for the past to have been different. When she is singing the part of Aladdin's Jasmine, in "A Whole New World" you can see and hear the excitement of a young girl being swept up in romance. She gets completely "In the Zone."

I wish more people would come and hear Lea Salonga. You really have to be a theatre buff to know who she is but the she is just awesome and the Venue is really good becuase the sound is great and there is no obstruction of viewing. I wish the Venue would advertise more in the greater Chicago area!! I drove 3 hours to see her because we don't have that type of entertainment where we live!!! My only regret is that my 18 year old daughter can't see her perform. Ms. Salonga keeps booking most of her concerts in the US with casinos and the 21 year old rule applies. She is missing an opportunity to engage with young adults 18 to 21 but the show was great.

Lea Salonga never ceases to thoroughly entertain. Whatever "style" of music she sings, she performs at the highest level of excellence. There are some people who are good singers. Lea is TRULY gifted. And she makes her shows FUN, too. Does she qualify as a DIVA? Absolutely. She is a unique and special talent. But she doesn't act like the "Divas" out there today who pale in comparison to her. Just a great all around show with a nice mix of pop, jazz, Broadway, Disney and some beautiful songs from her native Philippines. The opening song - the Nina Simone classic, "Feeling Good" - Lea just tore it to shreds. That set the tone for the rest of the night. A totally enjoyable and unforgetable evening of entertainment form a world famous singer/performer. She may not be the "best known" of the female voices in the U.S., but she is definitely THE BEST!

There is almost no stagecraft to this show... just Lea Salonga singing with a small band. And yet, no other stagecraft is needed, because her voice is just so beautiful and she sings with such emotion. Curiously, Miss Saigon was absent from the song list. Other than that, fans of Lea Salonga would be very happy with this show.

Usher allowed people to take our reserved seats in the balcony...not cool. Getting comp buffet tickets was a fair trade. Please note: the buffet is not worth $20/head...prob not even $8/head...it is very mediocre. We were planning to eat at the buffet anyway, so the $40 trade-off for the usher's mistake (and the rudeness of the people who wouldn't move from our seats) was...fair.

I had heard some Lea Salonga music before, but not recently, so I didn't know what to expect other than a lot of Filipinos would be in attendance! The venue itself, just under an hour east of Seattle in good weather (it was pouring rain this night), was new to me, and I was glad we arrived 1/2 hour before show time. Ample parking (garage), large and modern facility, smoking is allowed and thus it's an indoor haven for smokers. Filtration was good enough to not be obnoxious, but it was noticeable, and I wouldn't have lasted if the ballroom itself had this issue (I didn't notice anybody smoking therein, perhaps it isn't allowed there). As a first-timer to the Snoqualamie Casino, I was a bit wide-eyed, but eventually figured out where the ballroom was via "feel." Their signage could perhaps be improved, such as putting something obvious where one emerges from the elevators. The ballroom itself: large, seats were comfortable yet tight side-to-side, with ample foot room. Good sight lines, almost intimate. Ms. Salonga's set included about 20 songs (90-100 minutes, no break), with 1 encore that found perhaps a quarter of the crowd headed for the exit before they even realized it, but then people came in and went out throughout, the ushers were excellent in keeping the incomers out until between songs. She was backed up by a small group of 6 that included a couple of keyboards, electric guitar players, bass player, and a terrific piano player who doubled as musical director. She included songs of her own, a handful of others' songs ranging from Journey to Chicago to Air Supply to Barbra Streisand, a couple of Filipino songs, a couple of Les Miserables songs (from her performances in that musical), and the two Disney songs she's most known for - "Reflection" (from Mulan) and "A Whole New World" (Aladdin). She took a huge risk (apparently, something she's been doing for 6 years) by inviting an audience member to come up on stage to sing the latter as a duet, and a willing, eager, and fairly-proficient male audience member quickly emerged, raced across the front and climbed the stairs to join her. She thanked the audience after virtually every song, something I've never seen; her personality warmed up as time went on - with talk of her childhood, getting to married, her family, and her heritage, often injecting humor; she spoke of a Make-A-Wish youth who had made progress(!) since her attendance at a previous concert, and near the end expressed a heartfelt appreciation for our attendance the kind of which I've never seen and that I felt was genuine. Further, she - an accomplished performer - was available to sign autographs afterwards! In summary: expect smoke-it's a casino, the ballroom is a fine venue, and the performer was - and is - a wonderful individual who hasn't lost sight of where she's come from, both musically and as a person. Expect a pleasant time with middle-of-the-road type of music and a few laughs along the way. Hopefully, someday she'll play in a venue closer to Seattle, such as Meany Hall, maybe even Benaroya Hall, as I think she's popular enough.

What a pleasant and charming evening Lea gave the audience. Her voice is truly amazing and offers a wide repertoir of music to fit all her fans. And for those of us who did not know of her, she quickly brought us into her world of musical beauty. A highlight was inviting a male fan out of the audience to sing her Alladin duet with her. It brought the audience to their feet with a sense of belonging and pure joy. A fantastic night of beautiful music.

The repertoire was fantastic! Lea knows how to connect to her audience. She talked in between songs and I guess it's important for all performers to say something about the song. Lea looked really tired but she managed to spend time greeting her audience and fans after the concert. She did sign some autographs so as mine, I was at the very end of the line and almost said to Lea, "yahoo, I'm the last one and you get to go home" but I wasn't so sure if Lea would take such joke, so I didn't bother to say it. Lea was so kind when I requested her to put my name on the album, no second thoughts and she's willing to do anything whatever her fans requested. Overall, the experience was great and look forward to another concert here in Washington State. This was my second time to see her in concert here in Snoqualmie!

The show overall was good. Lea's voice works best on the Broadway and show tunes - especially loved "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miz, and her Disney songs. "A Whole New World" was especially fun with a duet partner from the audience. Did not care for the Philipino songs, but the audience was primarily Asian so it was appropriate for the crowd.

Enjoyed the show from beginning to end. She was very entertaining with her stories and her songs. An incredible voice and range. Only item that was disappointing was her dress choices. first pant suit outfit wasn't bad, the second act dress just didn't work. the party i was with all agreed that she should have let her hair down and came out with just jeans and tea shirt caisual dress. Then we could her other side and a better connection with the audience.

The cabaret style one woman show was great. Not many people can hold a stage for 2 hours on their own, but her voice is unmatched and you could hear a pin drop during her rendition of on my own that night even though most of us have heard it on a cd or seen it on a video it was unreal in person.

We were fans of hers already but after this show we'd pay to hear her read the phone book. In addition to the incredible voice voice she's funny, touching, sweet and endearing. What amazed us the most was how much we loved the songs she sang in languages we don't speak and the pop songs were a blast. Ms Salonga has a rare gift. If you have a chance to see this show don't miss it.

Lea Salonga & Jim Brickman together was the best part of the concert. Chairs at floor level looking up towards the stage was the negative part of the concert. A casino that makes revenue should have a concert stage like Pechanga.

If Jim was not on the marquee, I might have missed this amazing concert in my hometown! I was familiar with Ms. Salonga, but I purchased the ticket looking forward to seeing Jim Brickman. It was my first time ever at San Manuel, and it was better than I expected. Jim played several songs, including "If You Believe" and "Simple Things" as well as the entertaining "Rainbow Connection", one of my all time favorite Kermit songs. I was pleasantly surprised that he performed as many songs as he did. The most enjoyable moments were when Ms. Salonga and Mr. Brickman performed together "The Gift", "Valentine", "You", and "By Heart". I've heard him perform all of these songs live several times before, and hearing them perform together was uniquely amazing. I really enjoyed the range of Ms. Salonga's set, performing Lady Gaga, classic Broadway, her defining song from Ms. Saigon "I Would Die for You", and "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables". Several of the songs were unfamiliar, but so enjoyable performed by her. It was even more amazing that the show lasted slightly more than 2 hours.

Absolutely touched and moved by Lea Salonga and Jim Brickman concert last night. When she sings his romantic songs -- watch out! She sings them like NO ONE else! Her own sets were spectacular! Not only is her voice free, but she is able to so richly communicate the meaning of the song. In addition, she can sing so many different styles of music. (Though she didn't sing any country music -- I can easily hear it in her voice.) She sang Lady Gaga!, blues, ballads, Tagalog tunes, and lots of Broadway naturally. The way she uses dynamics, and the evenness of her tone throughout her range gives her a tremendous vocal pallet to colour the music. Do not miss this if you get a chance to see it!

Lea was spectacular, her voice was amazing but the venue was terrible. The sound was so loud and bad, the speakers almost damaged my ears when Lea got the higher notes, the instruments sounded louder than her voice. The information about allowing cameras inside the venue was confusing so a lot of people were taking pics in the middle of the show which was disrespectful for the rest of the audience. I wouldn't recommend the experience at a casino event room for real fans, you better go to a real theater or auditorium to enjoy her beautiful voice with the proper acoustic.

She is the best. I got my money worth. The only thing that I don't like is they started late. I can't blame it to the performer but the Casino personnel. The place is not really a concert hall. It is their Bingo Hall with a stage. They just rearranged the chairs. If a tall person is in front of you you will not be able to see the performer. A good performance of the Star masked all those minuses.

The people assisting the line to have a glimpse and take pictures of LEa seems to be rushing everybody up. Most probably they want to go home early !!!! I missed my shot taking a picture for my wife with Lea because they are rushing us. Its once in a lifetime opportunity for my wife to have a picture with Lea but this people especially the guy in a suit told us to hurry up. We were disappointed and mistreated... Moral lesson ... don't waste your time waiting in line in buying merchandise and have an autograph session because they will treat you like a STALKER if you get near to the artist performing at San Manuel...

During these tough times with the U.S. economy, it was nice to see a "feel-good" show. I'm glad to see more artists collaborating in music nowadays. This makes it more reasonable to pay for concerts when you get to hear/see more professional artists in one concert. I'm glad it's not the 'typical concerts' by Filipino artists where there are "amateur" singers thrown in performing before the main performer. Lea Salonga performed for more than 1 1/2 hours-- WOW! Ms. Lea, it was "F-U-N"! :)

I saw Lea about 5-6 years ago in Chicago. She still has a fantastic, powerful voice. I only wish that the concert was longer as it was in Chicago & I also wish she sang some of her songs from Miss Saigon. She did get a volunteer from the crowd to sing a duet with her Disney favorite "A Whole New World" & had a band which she didn't have in Chicago. In all, a memorable performance from a fan friendly singer. We sat near a big speaker my sis sent a twitter message to her & she replied seconds before coming out saying.."I'll be gentle." We will never forget that. So fan friendly Aside from that, security could have been nicer during the autograph session & set it up better. I didn't appreciate them yelling at people to "GO TO THE CASINO IF YOUR NOT BUYING ANYTHING!." I also didn't like how its 21 & over. We had kids who are big fans & were not allowed. I gotta say, they'd be allowed in LAS VEGAS.

Lea was amazing. Unfortunately, the employees of the venue need proper training. We were allowed to go in and few minutes later a lady came and asks us to leave. My sister who has limited mobility was asked to leave. She asks if she can stay since her knees hurt, she stated no. Lack of communication and lack of empathy towards disabled people is apparent with the employees. However, one employee did get a wheelchair for my sister, which I am grateful for.

I was in awe. Lea Salonga was incredible. She is an exceptional talent. It was an amazing experience to see and hear her angelic voice. The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is a world class musical entity. Their music magnified each song with such passion. Two thumbs up to Club Regent for a job well done for having Lea Salonga graced Winnipeg for the second time. Also, my husband and I stayed for autograph signing. If you attended the March 14 Town Hall concert by Lea Salonga you would know that she did not sing On My Own, I d Give My Life For You, or any of her other hits. Every successful performer has new music to plug. A new direction they want to venture into. But I have NEVER attended a concert where a performer all but ignored the songs that got her there in the first place. Mr. Bojangles instead of On My Own? Please. A true professional gives the audience at least a little of what they came to hear, instead of pointedly telling us there is other music and entertaining herself instead. What a great voice. What a shame.

Lea has a truly wonderful voice, but unfortunately her choice of songs to sing was disappointing. Too many were slow and depressing. Those that were more upbeat and recognizable were much more enjoyable. She included one song from Les Mis, one from Mulln and one from Alladin, but nothing at all from Miss Saigon. That was a shame

I've been a big fan of Lea over two decades ever since she was selected for Kim on Miss Saigon. I've seen her growing and reaching up on stardom. It was my dream that I was finally able to see her performance in the city I was residing. Her voice was great as always. What a luxurious moment to be able to listen to Lea's actual voice not over DVD or YouTube! Please understand I truly truly love her, but if I may....her talk between the songs was bit long and perhaps unnecessary, I felt. She covered many topics, however, I found it difficult to be part of it. For example, she talked about Hurricane Katrina as reading cheating cards to mention the money that's been raised or percentage whatever, but for people who actually experienced the Katrina in the area including myself, it made me wonder if she really is saying it from her heart. If she's taking an advise on the consultant I think she should switch. I feel her talk ruined a lot...sorry if I sound harsh. Also, I've wanted her to sing many songs from musical like Miss Saigon and Les Miserables, of course. Lots of singers, like James Taylor, he will never forget to sing "Fire and Rain" or other old songs. Of course, her singing Michael Jackson and Cold Play were really cool, too. But again, many songs sung in the concert were not familiar to me....

I've been following Lea since long time ago and when I knew she was playing in New york, at Broadway I was expecting the show to be full of Broadway hits or at least listening her singing her songs from her recordings. What I witnessed was a fake show made for dumb TV fans, with a totally new Lea. The song list was very poorly chosen full of pop songs that didn't fit Lea's voice nor style. I didn't like that she quoted lines from notes that didn't apply to the presentation. The worst moment was when the kids from the Art school appear on stage and a kid started to sing and play the guitar, terrible pitch, terrible voice, nothing to celebrate there. That whole number didn't make any sense to the show. I'm very disappointed of the Production and I might NOT attend to another show that looks like this.

I love Lea Salonga as an artist. At this concert she sang songs from a variety of genres and she nailed pretty much every song. What I was disappointed in was that she didn't really do any songs that she's famous for. She mentioned Aladdin, Les Miz, etc but didn't sing a song from the movie/bway show. So that was why I gave the show 3 stars for song selection. For vocals, 5 stars.

The performer's decision to allow recording, Tweeting, filming, etc during the performance ruined the concert for me. The distractions caused by hundreds of people playing with their smart phones reduced the concert to a social media free-for-all. The situation was made worse by the usher's repeatedly admitting and seating late-comers and bathroom goers throughout the concert. We left at intermission. What a waste of time and money!

The show was good though a bit boring. Almost fell asleep on the second half. Leah was great, though!

Lea Salonga's voice is beautiful, her pitch is perfect, and her range shocking. It's a shame that she couldn't even indulge the audience with one of her hit numbers. I understand the artistic desire to sing your own songs or have variety, but there should also be a desire to dazzle the crowd and give them what they want. The fact that she couldn't be bothered to sing even one of her hits was a real downer.

Watching and hearing her from her childhood days, she has come a long way and became such a successful woman. She's wonderful.

Do not expect an unbiased review for I am a diehard fan of Lea Salonga. The concert was fabulous. It was the first time I had seen her live, and I was floored by the strength and volume of her voice. My only disappointment was that I would have liked her to have sung more show tunes and perhaps a Filipino song, too. Highly recommended! Five stars plus!!!

The Concert was very good and Lea Salonga has powerful voice but the event was disorganized the fact that I bought a VIP ticket, I didn't feel that way, from VIP parking its far and it was raining hard, the people who's helping for the line didn't even guide the people where to sit, the meet & greet was a messed they didn't announced where to go, you have to asked everybody, no line and some of the people cut lines because they know somebody from there.

Always a treat to listen to Lea. Her amazing, angelic, and soothing voice lights up the stage with the audience just reminicing away.

She started out with jazz, which is nice for some but not me. I was happy when she sang more Broadway, which is her strength. She also sang some pop songs (Bruno Mars's "Grenade") and was excellent! She is also a good storyteller and has a sense of humor. My only complaint was she did not do enough Filipino songs or stories like she did in the past.

Every song was a gift. She crafts each moment in every song and gives the listener the feeling like you are really listening to the best version of the music ever. Show tunes to Disney to Bruno Mars, Gershwin, David Foster, wonderful song selections with Lea it's way more about the emotions in each song.
