ZZ Ward

This was our second time seeing ZZ Ward in concert. As with the first time, she put on an energetic show demonstrating her prowess with multiple instruments and playing most of her biggest hits. Her backup musicians were just outstanding with the drummer being a major stand out with his remarkable timing and ability to play at a volume appropriate for the song. The venue was really nice, we'd never been to Delmar Hall before and can highly recommend that as it has an almost club like feel with tables and bars to sit at if you're old like me and prefer that, but you can also get on the floor to be up close and personal with the stage and performers. Either way, the small venue is intimate and the acoustics were outstanding. If I have a complaint it is that ZZ didn't play all of her big hits, notably Domino was left off. Overall the show was pretty short (1 hour 25 minutes I believe) and she played only one encore.

An excellent show, no surprise, ZZ is an excellent performer. She had one hiccup in her performance that night, but we all forgive her, she's human... Always an excellent performer for "meet and greet" tickets, her road manager is a great guy, easy going, like ZZ, and very helpful and accommodating, as was the venue staff. If you've never experienced ZZ live, you should, at least once...you won't be disappointed... If you don't know her music, check it out, she's extremely talented!

ZZ Ward and her opening bands put on a great show! Can't wait to go again!

ZZ Ward is one of the most multifaceted performers. She not only can play multiple instruments (piano, guitar, harmonica, etc.), but she can blend multiple genres of music into a seamless sound which she can call her own. Simply, I just love her blend of Blues and Hip-Hop.

Easily one of my favorite new music talents. To see ZZ in an intimate setting like The Social with only a few hundred people was pretty cool. Best $12 of the summer so far!

ZZ Ward is one of the most soulful moving blues artists of her generation. The band members were equally as good and together they moved all who attended at the "Social" room at Revel - a great place to catch a show with its fabulous acoustics and intimate atmosphere. I am now a big fan of both ZZ Ward and The Revel Social Room.

I had not heard of ZZ Ward until a few days before the show. I watched a couple of her YouTube videos and I decided to experience her show live. I was very impressed with ZZ Ward and her band - so much so that I was disappointed the tickets were free. Ward and the band had great energy and stage presence, bringing life to every song. I went home and bought her album that night. I would absolutely recommend her album "Til The Casket Drops" and a ticket to her live performance.

ZZ gave a fantastic show at the Social in orlando! Playing all of her current album and a couple other great blues tunes! She also came out after the show to take pictures and sign autographs for anyone who wanted. Loved her and her show! Don't miss your chance to see her live!

This night opened up with a very energetic group of young men who call themselves the "silent comedy" . Their musicianship was outstanding and the diversity of tunes between the members kept getting better. Their calm and maybe even 'Amish' look gave way to a delightful folk-Celtic-grunge rhythm that I hope will catch on. ZZ ward came on with her sultry look, voice....and let's not forget about the hat. The purity and clarity of her moves and songs are mesmerizing. Her back-ups were simple....maybe a little too simple. Simple cords and " strumming " are not impressive for this level of musicianship. She has casual ease with the audience and speaks about the music that she writes. People like to know the background or motive for songs.

All is can say is go see her now in the small venues she is currently playing in because one day she will be filling the larger concert halls. Great energy and talent. For 13.00 per ticket its a steal.

Martin Harley was hilarious and his music was great. Delta Rae was fabulous. ZZ Ward brought down the house! ZZ has certainly gained a larger following since her last show at the Norva. We were smashed against the security gate at the front, whereas last time we could walk right up to the stage. All in all, I love ZZ Ward even more, and I've gained two new favorite artists.

Real musicians! They were a ll. Amazing and deltrra ray on the floor was outstanding!

ZZ can be a huge star. She has a fantastic voice and great stage presence. Also her band is wonderful. I long for the day she DOES NOT have an opening act. An hour of great music.

Both Delta Rae and ZZ Ward put on incredible shows. The harmonies produced by Delta Rae's singer are powerful and moving. ZZ Ward's heartfelt blues are soulful, yet you can see she's having a great time on stage.

Both Delta Rae and ZZ ward far exceeded my expections. Delta Rae mucians were very veratile and mixed up their songs to give a great performance. ZZ ward grew on me during the performance.

Great concert! Enjoyed ZZ Ward but Delta Rae was the treat! They really rocked.

ZZ Ward exceeded my expectations! This was the first time that I have seen her live, and she gave a very energetic performance. Her band was also fabulous - very talented musicians. She sang all of the songs I wanted to here from her album, so I was VERY happy! And kudos to 2nd opening act Martin Harley - he's an amazing blues player and singer!

The entire concert from start to finish was total dance worthy bliss! ZZ Ward is absolutely amazing and has songs you will never forget. She's even better live and loves what she's doing! Delta Rae blew me away! I have to admit I was a little skeptical. Their albums don't do them ANY justice. They are fantastic live!! I could have listened to many more songs. The opening act, Martin Harley Band was equally as good. Close your eyes and just listen.

This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to! All of the singers' voices are amazing, and it was a great value to see two extremely talented bands for about $10 total!! Definitely recommend.

First off, this concert experience was excellent from beginning to end. ZZ Ward was great. She is a singer, songwriter who has a beautiful voice. She also plays a mean electric guitar. An unannounced treat was English blues singer Martin Harley. He played to a seemingly uncaring crowd. By the end of his set, he had everyone's attention, and many new fans. Delta Rae was next. They are a band that plays american folk style rock. They took the stage and surprised everyone that had never heard of them. The two female lead singers have the most amazing voices and put their heart and soul into every note. They also have 2 male singers who also played guitar and keyboards and were equally talented singers. The other two members who did not sing lead,, rocked on drums and bass, including an upright bass violin. They kept the audience mesmerized as they played music from their debut album Carry the Fire. They also did a rendition of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac that rivaled the excellent original. Delta Rae is a band to watch.

Intimate venue with great vantage points and amazing performers. Opening acts were great and ZZ didn't disappoint either. Live sounds as good or better than the album! If you haven't joined the masses following her on her journey to the top, you definitely should!!

Zach and ZZ killed it. I hope they come back soon!

Opening act Zach Heckendorf is a talented singer/songwriter that reminded me of artists such as Jason Mraz, John Mayer or Dave Matthews at times. The match with ZZ was perfect as each highlighted thei talents without stepping on the other. ZZ was simply amaZZing! She is a talented musician and songwriter with great stage presence, and a voice that commands attention. In this day of " American Idols", it is rare to find such a complete package. I missed her earlier show in columbus, but am glad I made this one because I doubt that she will be available in such an intimate surrounding for long.

ZZ was great as always and Devon Gilfillian was an AWESOME opener

My sixth time seeing ZZ in concert, third at the Paradise ... and each show is better than the last. She has never disappointed and whenever she comes back, I'll be back!

ZZ Ward and openers were amazing and high energy and had the crowd into it the whole time.

I had seen ZZ Ward open for Kaleo in the fall and she was great then. Seeing her headline a show was 10x better! Her opening act Billy Raffoul was incredible and she was amazing! Such a good performance!

All three acts rocked. Would luv to see them again!

The opening acts, Billy Raffoul and Black Pistol Fire were great and really got the crowd pumped up for ZZ Ward. She did not disappoint and is great live! I'd definitely recommend seeing her and hope I get to see her in concert again.

Enjoyed the sound and open area of the venue as well has the pleasant bartenders made for a great night.

BPF was insane! Fast, hard rock. Everything I hoped. Billy Raffoul was a pleasant surprise, fantastic Voice. Zz Ward was a bit of a let down. BPF should ve headlined.

If it ever have a chance to see her live do it her music is incredible but when you hear it live it makes it even better I wasn't the biggest fan of her latest album( its still really good) but after hearing it live I love it

Very talented songwriter and artist. This was the 4th time I ve seen her live. But I kind of like the fact she hasn t caught on and she s still playing the smaller venues. This way I get to be right up against the stage.

First time seeing ZZ Ward. She was incredible. Will buy tickets again. Kat Cliett was amazing as well. The Underground was very cool, but the drink prices were too high for a small venue. Drank water

The show was phenomenal, but my experience was tainted by the VIP personnel and merchandise. I was supposed to receive a signed, numbered poster with my VIP tickets and boy am I glad I looked before I left the venue. I was given a poster, but it was not signed or numbered. When I went to address this with the people at the merch booth, they told me that none of the posters had been signed or numbered. One even had the audacity to tell me that I was lying. I preceded to open the page displaying what the package advertised and was told that there was nothing they could do. I then e-mailed the VIP organizer who said that I would be receiving one at the end of the tour. It has been two months since the show and still no poster. I'm hopeful that it will arrive, but I am really upset for the people who didn't look before they left the show and are now without.

I must say that the House of Blues is quite a great venue. The 2 opening acts were very good in their own right! I had not heard of either one and now have added them both to my lookout list for when I can see them again. ZZ Ward - what an amazing performer. I could tell she loves to perform and her enthusiasm was certainly contagious. When she came down into the audience towards the end of the show was just fantastic. She played an amazing mix of newer songs and then the ones we know her by. My only issue was that, for me, the sound dynamics were not well balanced. The bass was turned up so high, it made it difficult at times to really appreciate, and sometimes hear, ZZ's voice. And her voice almost sounded tinny at times. Still, a great concert and one that I was thrilled to attend and experience.

If you didn't have fun or enjoy the experience, you are officially dead! I'll see her again as soon as I can.

She is a lot of fun. Very entertaining and talented.

ZZ Ward is incredibly talented, she has such a soulful voice and her songs are fun and inspired. I will definitely go see her again. The one downfall is that the music was so loud it drowned out her voice somewhat and that is the best part. I would love to see her in a acoustic set so that her voice was showcased. Overall though, she is so much fun to watch and I enjoyed it completely. She is a must see for everyone!

This is my second time seeing ZZ Ward in concert, and it did not disappoint. She puts on a spectacular show, and the openers were great and in line with the music of her set. I had never been to the Royale, but I was pleased with the cleanliness and the friendly staff.

ZZ Ward was great! Her sound was better live than recorded -the band was super talented. Excellent sound - danced and sang all night :) I'd definitely go see her if she came back to Boston again.

I think that ZZ Ward has an incredible voice. However I found her performance very awkward. To me, it didn't seem like she got into performance until halfway through the show. I did not like the fact that doors opened at 6:30 and ZZ Ward didn't go on until about 9:40 especially since opening acts were not compelling to me.

Incredible voice, charismatic performer, and awesome lighting. The two openers The Young Wild and Marc Scibilia were amazing too!

So glad I got to see ZZ Ward and her awesome band. This girl has some pipes. She looks fantastic and the songs they played were a good mix of the old and new. If you have a chance to see her on this tour I highly suggest you do because the next one will be bigger. I loved the show so much I've gone ahead and purchased tickets to see her in Philadelphia. My favorite song was Put The Gun Down. I'm hoping she plays Last Love Song in Phila. We did upgrade or seats to VIP at the venue so that I had a good seat.

ZZ WARD is a great show, she rocks the house! She is so talented, you have to check her out!

We went to see ZZ Ward Oct 13th 2017. First we had an excellent experience with seating and VIP when entering the event. Thanks to communication with one of the managers before hand. We went with the understanding that it was ZZ Ward and only ZZ. Over an hour was spent listening to someone we never heard of and ZZ only played for and hour! We loved the smaller venue, but wished we could have more time listening to ZZ. After the concert was over everyone was QUICKLY pushed out! Leave now! Was heard many times. ZZ Ward is very talented and the performance we did see was great!

The show was amazing and even Cat Clyde was amazing. They should definitely colab on something together!

I loved ZZ Ward's vibrant energy at the STL show...it was such a treat when she came down on to the floor to mingle with us during the show!

I love ZZ and her music but, at the venue the base was way to strong and her voice could hardly be heard. For someone who wasn't already a fan this would not have been a good introduction.

This was my third time seeing ZZ live, and the music has always been great but she has improved as an entertainer and has gotten more stage presence. The crowd has always been into the music, but this time she really got everyone going.

If you ever get the chance to see ZZ Ward, do it. You won't regret it. Such an amazing talent. Her voice is incredible. Her band is beyond talented. The show was energetic and fun. We had such a great time!

Originally I purchased tickets to this show specifically to see the main supporting band the WILD FEATHERS. Regardless of who I'm going to see I always do my research and prepare for every show. This means I listened to the work of JAMES BAY (opener) and ZZ WARD (headliner). I enjoyed ZZ's 2012 release TILL THE CASKET DROPS and as I got closer to the show I became a fan. I loved the rap- blues synthesis as on the track CRIMINAL and I liked her contemporary take on the blues in general. The WILD FEATHERS put on a good show but ZZ WARD showed why she was the headliner. She had full command of the stage and it was obvious that she was a seasoned performer. It was an excellent show! Both ZZ WARD and THE WILD FEATHERS are rising talents that will impact the music world big time going forward!

Straight up- This girl is unforgettable. Her performance is unparalleled and considering she didn't have a full house, she still rocked out like no other. She is worth every penny and more. The O My's are the peanut butter to Zz's jelly...or I should say jam, because that's just what they do. My faith in music has been restored ever since I found Zz Ward. Please do yourself a favor and catch her gettin LIVE at her live shows.

Great vocals and energy. Seating was general admission but she wanted everyone on the floor to get a better experience. Good choice, I was jumping and moving all show.

This was the 2nd time I've seen ZZ Ward live. She is so talented! Her voice is amazing, and she has a great live show. She mixes things up sometimes and plays different songs or remixes along with piano, guitar, and harmonica. The opening acts were great too, especially Grizfolk.

From the first note she sang to the last strum of the guitar zz wards energy and passion for music was undeniable! The show was amazing raw and pure. If you love rock and blues with honest lyrics and a voice the stirs the soul zz ward is a must see. Don't miss her next show

Great night of music. ZZ Ward did not let her fans down. She was jumping and singing and having a great time at the TLA Friday night. We had VIP seats with a great view but there's no bad spot in the place. She performed and Rocked It!! Her band was great as well. Nice full sound from the drum kit but it didn't over power ZZ's lyrics by any means. She had the place dancing, clapping and bobbing to the beats of her songs. Put Your Gun Down was excellent as always as well as some of her popular tunes. She also delighted us with a few new songs which were equally as good if not better!! This was my first time seeing ZZ and I have to say she did not let me down. I'll be at her next concert when she comes back to her hometown area of Philly. Rock on ZZ Ward!! It's great to hear a woman sing and play the blues like you do!!! Even the bands opening for her tour were great, the Omys and Grizfolk.

General Admission seating is always kind of exciting because you are able to move around and enjoy the music more. I was unfamiliar with James Bay before, but immediately bought his EP afterwards. Very talented and personable with the audience (and easy on the eyes too)! Besides "Sing Loud," I wasn't especially familiar with Alpha Rev's music either, but I am such a huge fan of their work now. Being entertaining and actually having musical abilities are different things and Alpha Rev nails both! Oh, the SAX SOLOS! I'm not a huge fan of the saxaphone, but it really did add to the performance. They covered Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" (covered by EVERYBODY on the planet), but they made it new and powerful. ZZ Ward is indescribable. Being familiar with the majority of the setlist usually adds to the enjoyment of the show, but hearing some new material blew me away. Hearing something from an album performed live always pushes the astonishment to the next level. ZZ's band is something to see. They are such talented guys and you can see and feel how much they all love making music together. I was lucky enough to see ZZ perform in Studio C with CIties 97 and I was breathless. Acoustic or full band, ZZ is worth seeing. IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE ZZ WARD LIVE, YOU HAD BETTER DO SO! I was standing behind the light and sound box during the show and I will say that the lighting was pretty bad, but that has nothing to do with the artists. The sound guy did a great job and was really getting into the groove. :)

Seriously just an awesome show. Zz Ward sounded great live. Sometimes you hear a person/group live and it just doesn't sound the same as the album, but she nailed it. She definitely put on a fun entertaining show. The opening act, The Wild Feathers, really really really good band. I think they have a very bright future. I had never heard of them before the show, and I haven't been able to stop listening to their album since. If you've never heard of either ZZ Ward or The Wild Feathers I would highly recommend looking them up. The Ones To Watch tour is spot on, I look for both to hit it big.

I liked the show love ZZ Ward. I just wish her set was longer than the opening act The Wild Feathers, which by the way was a great band. The venue was okay it was a lot of sound for that small room, but great nonetheless. I would love to go to another one of her shows.

This was one of the best shows I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of shows!). ZZ Ward and her band are amazing. I know it won't be long before everyone knows who they are! The mixture of blues, pop, rock, hip hop and even rap (which I don't usually like) is so original and ZZ's voice is so powerful. I got the meet & greet tickets and got to meet ZZ and one of the band members after the show. She was so nice and gracious and signed my poster and another one for my sister and I took the attached photo with her. (Good thing ZZ is cute 'cause this isn't my best photo)! Her band is also amazing-hard to believe these 4 people create such a huge sound! I wish the crowd was a little more respectful when ZZ was trying to talk and during the slow song but I guess that happens in a club setting.

An incredible live performance! So much energy and passion goes into this show! To bad no one was there to see it. Someone really dropped the ball on this one. My first time @hoborlando folks with me said,"smallest crowd ever witnessed". Pathetic turnout. Last timein Orlando she packed that many @theSocial a much smaller venue. ZZWARD deserves better!

zz ward was amazing of course. delta Rae totally rocked it and it was so cool of them to come into the crowd and sing. Martin Harley is like a one man Mumford and sons! he was great. I was so excited I got to get a picture with zz ward and a autograph. really an amazing show from all the performers.

I originally went to this concert just for ZZ Ward but all three acts were incredible! Delta Rae is unique, powerful, and spine chilling band who are dedicated and emotional about their music. Martin Harley blew me away with what he could do on his slide guitar.

ZZ Ward and her band are amazing performers. I wish the show never ended. She even stayed after to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. So, now I have a piece of that experience forever. The venue was little and intimate, which allowed the audience to truly enjoy a personalized show. I had a blast, and can't wait for her to come in town again!!!

We loved the show! ZZ is a remarkable Blues artist with a depth and range that belies her youth. We expect this talented artist to make a name for herself. We look forward to her Sophomore album. We're looking forward to the Norfolk, VA show!

The whole night was great. ZZ Ward has great vocals and the staff at the 8x10 was great.

This was my first concert in years, and my first concert, ever, at the Norva. The opening band, Delta Dabney, was pretty cool, though the sound was a little off, so it was difficult to hear the lyrics to the songs. The second act, Seasick Mama, was horrible; I'm pretty sure the lead singer was drunk, high, or both, and she encouraged the audience to buy her a drink, to which they obliged. Either way, that act was not my cup of tea, and the only time my sisters and I clapped was when the band *left* the stage. Finally, ZZ Ward came onstage. I have never been so close to an artist I love, nor have I been able to interact with the band, until this show. It was amazing to be so close that I could make eye contact with ZZ and her band, to talk to them, and to be able to have "front row" access to enjoy the show. ZZ Ward's stage presence was outstanding, her singing was on point, and the band was fantastic. It's rare that an artist sounds as good (if not better) in person as they do on the album, where editing often changes the sound completely.

ZZ was great and put on an awesome show. Simply amazing.

What a great show! Opening act was great as well. Small venue made for a better experience too.

Bought the early entry ticket and found ourselves in the front row. No better place to be. ZZ Ward was awesome. She entertained..told stories about the origin of each song. I was worried that her powerful voice, trademark from her album, would be lost live but in fact her voice was even better live. I'd go to her show again and again.

One of the best voices you will ever hear live. Powerful voice. She does not need a band to back her up and the vocals are showcased. Lots of interaction with the crowd. Worth every dime.

The opening act was fantastic, and ZZ Ward was amazing. The issue was how late she decided to go on. Most of the three hours I was there was standing around waiting for her to perform. I also thought the opening act had more stage presence than ZZ Ward and was way more entertaining; but you cannot deny that she has an incredible voice.

She rocked it and I loved her show. The sound was a little off due to the venue, she was hard to hear over her band.

I've been listening to ZZ Ward for quite a while now and don't have many friends who knew who she was. When I saw she was going to be in Indy for $20 I decided to rope in friends to go even though it was on a Tuesday night. One of the openers was sick but the other band, The Wild Feathers, were awesome. Definitely came home and looked up more of their music. When ZZ finally came on everyone went nuts with excitement. She has great stage presence and an amazing voice. The rest of her band is amazingly talented also. If you're looking for some new music, check her out!

Wild Feathers played an incredible set. They even got to play longer than their scheduled time as the opener (James Bay) was under the weather. Ranged from very rock inspired tracks to some country flavored tunes. They even rolled out a solid Zeppelin cover. Trhoughout the set different members took over lead vocal duties providing a nice variety. I had only heard one of their songs before the show (which I liked), but they created a new fan that night. Five stars ZZ Ward was a bit of disappointment. Her songs are great and she connects with the audience well between songs, but it was clear from early on in her set that she was using a heavy vocal backing track. While not lip synching, I felt a bit jipped that we weren't getting her fully live and raw and real. Two stars.

Just wanted to Thank ZZ Ward and CREW... when we came to Hammond IN to see ZZ they didn't have any plus size t-shirts... I Purchased one on Tuesday! Thanks.... PS... We love Matt that is on your crew!

ZZ Ward is one of those artists where if you like her music, you think it will be even better live ... different -- I dislike shows where you might as well be listening to the radio -- and better. That was certainly the case at the Paradise. Loved her performance and her energy and came away loving her music that much more and anxious for her next album.

Totally enjoyed the show. James Bay was awesome as well.... definitely a hew fan!
