Nice venue. Not too big. Parking was not too far away and not ridiculously expensive. The concert was amazing! These two are so incredibly talented. They bring phenomenal guitar skills, diversity, and verve. They were having so much fun and brought everyone to their feet dancing and clapping. They also brought about 20 audience members onstage for a couple of songs so that they could dance and take selfies. Also, great video behind them on stage. They had micro-cameras on the necks of their guitars so we could all see the guitar prowess. It was SO impressive. This is not a show to be missed if you've got the chance. Love them and will be getting more of their albums. Bravo!!

don't know why people pay money to listen to someone play music and then talk the whole time. RyG were amazing, inspiring, wondrous, phenomenal, extraordinary, sensational, incredible, like sex or a religious experience. Possibly both. I felt privileged to be there, to experience them loving their music and feeding off each others energy and the audiences energy.

The show ended by 10:30 p.m., which is an egregious short-change by my standards. An extra opener would've been nice, but there wasn't even an encore performance to fill up the time. Otherwise R y G tore it up nicely.

I don't even know where to begin. Rodrigo & Gabriela were Amazing as usual. The duo have such a dynamic chemistry and feed off not only themsleves but the fans as well. The show was more then amazing... watching Gabriela use her hand on the guitar is so impressive but seeing it live gives you even a better appreciation for her style and technique. As always the two did not disappoint. This tour is a must see. Fi you get a chance I strongly suggest you catch the show. Even if your not a fan of the duo and like the Gypsy's (Gypsy Kings), you will LOVE this group.

The show can be summed up into one word: AMAZING! They are both so talented. I kept having to remind myself that this incredible music I was listening to was coming from two guitars, that's it: Unbelievable is what that is. I could feel my dad's spirit near me, as he used to play the spanish guitar and had a passion for it, as I do now, thanks to him.

What those two do with guitars is just amazing. The songs are wonderfully arrainged and the musicianship is just tremendous. I've been raving about the music they put out for some time now. Their performance just proved not only do they record well but the put on one hell of a show too. They're both very charming and EXTREMELY talented people. ¡The duo from México tore it up! They're talent is mind-blowing: Gabriela, the most unique rhythm guitarist I have ever seen, taps and thumps intricate beats on her guitar with her knuckles and palms as Rodrigo plays the lead, his hands moving up and down the neck, at times his fingers moving so fast that they become an indistinguishable blur, even when viewed upon a giant screen. The smiles on their faces and the sweat on their brows as they play sophisticated classical mixed with head-banging metal are a testament to the energy and sincerity that pours into their performance, ¡Increíble!

I have been to a lot of concerts but this was one of the best! The energy and skill they played their guitars was amazing! The audience was a bunch of rich hoity toity snobs for the most part, but at the second to last song some finally ignored the seating and rushed the stage, it was awesome! Gabriella even said this concert had more of a reserved nature compared to the other rock festivals they have played at. The sound though, was perfect, it seemed like the soundboard mixer person knew what they were doing when they would turn up the bass just for the thumps of using the guitar as a drum. Great job R n' G!!!!

It was SO awesomel for Rodrigo y Gabriela to have shown their amazing talent in Troutdale, OR. They were so passionate into what they were doing, it was too cool! Rodrigo and Gabriela lit the Vogue up last Thursday in a single solid set of unforgetable tunes off of 11:11 and previous albums. While Rod clearly has the upper hand in the musical talent arena, Gab stole the show with her sultry rythmatic chording and percussion. You can't help but love these two; a rags to riches journey from Mexico City to Ireland to the top of the World Music Charts. There was a lot of performer/audience energy and he crowd was awed.

I was very suprised to see the turnout at the Vogue for this event. It was as close as i can imagine to a sell out show there. Rodrigo y Gabriela are without a doubt the best duo going . There show is very energetic, full of passion and feeling. The fullness of sound, and rythmic feel and pulse makes it impoosible not to move your body. It also touches your soul. I am soooo thankful they made a stop here in indianapolis. They themselves made the comment of how suprised they were to see so many people turn out. It has restored my faith in the fact that people will come out to see an instrumental classical/flamenco duo, spend the $40.00 for a ticket and actually enjoy and participate in the show. This was the second to last show of the tour but they held nothing back, even when they came out to play a last song everyone was screaming uno mas over and over and over again. They are going to LA to record and then go home as they have been on the road for 3 months and from their mouths they said that thats too long. well, I hope for our sake they get back at it soon and come here again, at perhaps a bigger venue as i'm sure they will have a massive turnout.

I saw RyG in Chicago when I used to live there and went to Taste of Chicago to John Mayer concert. It was a complete coincidence, because I didn't even know that RyG is going to be there and who they are. Three purchased albums and weeks worth of listening to them on my Pandora channel later, I couldn't resist to go see them live again. The venue was great for them - great sound & atmosphere, but it would be even better if they were playing some place that has a little dance floor to get your body moving. I will definitely go see them again, and anyone else who is playing at Keswick!

Rodrigo y Gabriela performed an amazing show. What they do is extremely unique! If you're even slightly considering seeing them, SEE THEM. You won't be disappointed. Gabriela's percussive technique is something to just gawk at and admire. It keeps you asking how she gets the sounds she does out of her guitar. I've been trying to mimic it ever since and have come nowhere close. Rodrigo's virtuosity is incredible. He manages not only to play with great speed, but still brings out those amazing melody lines and musical phrases we love to hear. Combined? Inspirational & phenomenal. A great blend of metal, latin, jazz, and classical.

the musicianship of R&G was amazing as i knew it would be. and i'm very happy to have seen them live and appreciated hearing them speak between songs and getting a little insight into who they are. my only drawback to the show was the lighting. i had pretty good seats...fairly upfront, but i struggled to actually see R&G. a lot of backlighting and fairly dim spot lights up front made for a difficult view of two amazing artists. what i wanted to see was bright spots lights on each of them so i could appreciate what they were doing on their guitars. let's face it, if there's no singing, you need to highlight the artistry of the artists. in the end, the finale is what i would have liked to have seen more of during the show. the finale lights finally shook off a sleepy environment and everyone stood and got into the amazing music of rodrigo y gabriela. i'm still a huge fan, but i wish someone on tour would realize what they have and highlight the package more for a fan base that is strong and growing.

¡Astonishing! After experiencing Rodrigo and Gabriela's cut "Diablo Rojo" on Radio Paradise a couple years back, I was hooked. Like a big fat trout, swimming along comfortably next to James Taylor, Donovan, et al. Then the baited hook was offered. And there I was, hook, line and sinker. Last night at The Ryman Auditorium Rod and Gab were in their finest moments. The percussive, rhythmic thumps, cracks, beats, rim-shots made by Gabriela's nimble fingers violently underscored the already tumultuous interplay of their guitars. Their music, interspersed by Gabriela and Rodrigo's hilarious comments to the assembled congregation, made for a perfect 2 hours of most excellent musical entertainment. If you fail to see them in concert, then you fail.

An absolutely amazing duo. My husband and I took our 13 year old and he was floored. We go to quite a few concerts, but in this small venue to be graced with the unbelievable raw talent was by far one of the best concert experiences ever. Gabriela is an engaging, humorous, vivacious personality (the men in the audience were professing their love!). She spoke with the audience in between songs but while performing, she jumped around & encouraged the audience to bounce & clap. Rodrigo was just as enthusiastic. He commented that it was their first time in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and they weren't sure anyone would show up. Despite his humbleness, the place was packed with all ages: teens to college-aged to retired. I would go see them again tomorrow, pay twice as much if I had to, and enjoy it just as much.

IT WAS AMAZING! We were on our feet almost the whole concert. The energy that they radiate from the stage is electric and they video feed that is on the screen behind them makes the concert more interesting and easier to see both of them playing. I have never seen hands move as fast on a guitar as I did watching Gabrila. I will be back to any concert they do in the LA area! GOOD JOB and the new CD is GREAT TOO!

The DPAC is always a nice place to see a show. No complaints there. I felt like they were "phoning it in". Rodrigo even commented how they had been touring for the past 4 yrs and they were tired. They barely engaged with one another let alone the audience. I saw this same tour a couple years ago in a small club in Charlotte NC. Much better show. They were entertaining and interactive with the crowd at that show. I love R&G. I think they need to go home and relax for awhile.

This was my Second Rodrigo y Gabriela show, ( been watching them on Youtube for years) saw them two night before at Bottle Rock with special guest Robert Truillo from Metallica. The Uptown Theater doesn't have a bad seat but I was close to the stage and it sounded amazing! This was the last show of a 68 shows tour that spanned over 20 Countries. They allowed everyone to come up close to the stage and encouraged dancing. Then they allowed 100 people on stage with them because they liked the extra energy. This was an incredible one of a kind performance and they are extremely polished. New things about this tour is they are playing standing up like Rock Stars and i adds a lot of visual energy to the performance. Also they have incorporated singing into an original song they performed. Rodgrio has a good voice and I liked the song. It had an almost Iron Maiden sound to it. Can't wait to see them again.

These two are special, pinnacle in their musicianship and equally gracious. This was my fourth time seeing them and it was just as entertaining as the first. If you're looking for a blingy light show, you would be disappointed. This was just about the music and that was delivered with their usual epic guitar playing. What was different this time was a few vocals from Rodrigo, a first for me. Each broke into their own solos, highlighting their distinct styles. Awesome!

I love R y G. They usually do a strong, full set list. But where this was the last show on the tour, they decided to have some fun, for them at least. In between every song was a whole monologue & then they asked for requests from the audience. What a cacophony that was. I felt that half the show time was spent trying to figure out what to play. All in all, I didn't think they played as many songs as I would have liked. I still would go see them again & they sounded excellent. The Orpheum is a nice, small venue & every seat is good. Most of the people who work there are not friendly, unfortunately, & be forewarned, the bar closes at like 8:30 or so.

I had "obstructed view" front row seats - which were not obstructed whatsoever. The sound quality was perfect, even though I sat right in front of the subs, it didn't hurt my hearing or my enjoyment of the concert. When R & G came out, it was magic. They asked the audience what we wanted to hear and proceeded to play some of their favorites, including a medley of Metallica covers. Later, I heard them sing for the first time. Oysteen, the opening act, came out and the three of them played Spirit's "Nature's Way" which reminded me when I played that song in duet with another guitarist. I read the reviews about seating which turned out to be unsubstantiated. This concert was very enjoyable.

Last night we got to see Rodrigo y Gabriela. I first caught wind of them some years ago and it seemed like I kept missing chances to see them. When they came around two years ago, I was heartbroken when they cancelled the tour Oh the wait was long to see this duo but WOW was it worth waiting for! It's impossible to believe that two people can make such a BIG sound but ... their talent, passion, joy, creativity and true artistry shines through in their performance. These guys do more than jam, kick ass, create new sounds. know how to manipulate a guitar... THEY ROCK! The energy in the room continued to lift higher and higher as the night went on... it was really magical and out of this world. I can't wait to download their new album and hope to catch them live again sooner than soon.

You cannot believe what two people, two guitars and two hours can produce until you see Rodrigo y Gabriela. It's really hard to describe the fervor they create, the energy and passion. The songs are excellent, the techinque superb, but they transcend playing instruments and writing music. Their show is a metaphor for focus, drive, passion, accomplishment and joy. They give music their whole souls, and you watch as two people and two guitars become one. It's like their minds and hands have melded... it's really amazing. I kept thinking, if I could pour my focus and drive into one thing like that.... nothing could stop me from doing anything. When they played the finale, Tamacun, it brought the crowd into their stage universe... I felt like everyone joined forces. It was spectacular. At only $40 a ticket, I felt like I just witnessed a miracle of music. Don't miss these two, ever! I first heard Tamacun on the radio at 8 am one morning and for the first time in my life called a radio station and said "Who was THAT?" They laughed and said everyone had been calling... that was years ago and I have been fans since. I thought, they must be used in movies; the music is too good! And sure enough Hans Zimmer snatched them up for the third Pirates movie. Fantastic music and played with joy... you leave there on Cloud 9!

The show was beyond incredible with the weather to match. If you were paying attention you could even see fireworks on the distance. Rodrigo and Gabriella are amazing alone, but the addition of the Colorado Symphony added a whole new layer of awesome!

It is so wonderful to have such fantastic guitar players who appear so humble & gracious! They seemed genuinely surprised & almost embarrassed by the audience enthusiasm. RodGab puts all their heart & energy into every show I've seen. They are a joy to watch & seem to enjoy & respect each other immensely. Occasionally you'll see them give a sly wink or nod for some private joke or at a rare missed note. The audience is such a wide range of ages & backgrounds. This team is truly a multi-cultural phenomena. The CO Symphony filled out their sound but personally I think the two of them make enough sound banging & strumming their guitars that they need little accompaniment.

Rodrigo y Gabriella are even better in person than on CD, and their recorded music is pretty amazing. Gabriella is really the star of the show (so much energy! she was jumping up an down while still playing impeccable sounds on the guitar), but of course, Rodrigo is awesome too. To be able to make that kind of sound with just two acoustic guitars. An incredible amount of talent, I can't wait to see them again.

Music is rarely this passionate and organic. This duo has unreal synchronicity. The energy of the crowd fed the energy on stage and vice versa.

Rodrigo y Gabriela are incredibly talented acoustic guitarists from Mexico. Their style of play is very fast, loud and hard. I was first introduced to them when they performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was very impressed. I tend to prefer songs with lyrics so that I can sing along. Rodrigo y Gabriela s songs have no words. Their music is literally just them playing the hell out of their guitars. Their talented performance on The Tonight Show drew me in and I decided that I needed to see them live one day. The show started with Rodrigo y Gabriela sitting down on what was made to look like brick walls. They then worked their way around the stage even playing to those of us in the side stage seats. It was great to have an opportunity to see how they played their guitars. My seat was on the side the Gabriela favored. She is such an enthusiastic performer. You could tell that she really enjoyed what she was doing. She would even jump up and down as she played. I have no idea how she managed to do that without missing a note. I wish that I could have seen Rodrigo play more closely. He was predominantly on the opposite side of the stage from where I was sitting so I didn t get a chance to see his finger work on the guitar. There were cameras on the head stock of each their guitars that would project the images of them playing on the screen behind them to allow us to see them play as well. Even with the cameras and how they worked the stage, sitting in a seat that faced center stage would have been a much better angle to see both of their styles of play side by side. While they each have their own style they mix very well together. They took turns speaking to the crowd as their guitars were being tuned. Not only are they incredibly talented, they are very down to earth. Gabriela talked about how they had been working with the Cuban orchestra and contributed to a few soundtracks like Puss in Boots . Rodrigo joked about looking like a professor as he walked around the stage with one hand in his pocket as if he was giving a lecture. They both talked about how they are excited to be writing new songs and getting back into the studio to record a full album later this year. Their songs are very upbeat and infectious. They play with such enthusiasm that the audience didn t need much encouragement to get up to dance and clap along. Rodrigo y Gabriela should be touring to support a new album next year. If they come to your area I highly recommend seeing them. Alex Wilson, a pianist and composer that worked with Rodrigo y Gabriela when they worked with the C.U.B.A., A 13-piece Cuban orchestra opened. I didn t care for his performance. It was either too mellow or it sounded like he was just pounding on the keys instead of playing them. He came on stage during Rodrigo y Gabriela s set to perform one song with them. I didn t feel that it really added anything.

I really enjoy Rodrigo y Gabriela, that being said them playing with C.U.B.A. might have been a little too much with the brass section and the keyboards drowning out the subleties of their music and the playing off each other. luckily for me anyway, they did do some solo work and with only the rhythm section (bass & percusion) and that was outstanding.

Wow! On a chilly cloudy night in Berkeley, Rodrigo y Gabriela kept fans warm with blazing acoustic guitar playing accompanied by pulsating rhythms. The duo has really matured musically since I last saw them a few years ago at the Regency in San Francisco. Gabriela y Rodrigo continues to push the possibilities of the acoustic guitar sound. They have found electricity too! But don t fret (no bun intended) Rodrigo's minimalist electrical experimentation works to complement there otherwise superb presentation. With their infectious enthusiasm no one left the show feeling cold.

great entertainment! For those fans of R y G this was a way to reconnect with their classics and appreciate their heavy metal roots. We also got a glimpse at how hard it is to create new tracks as they both were quite open that the whole reason for this tour was a hope that intimate live performances would reignite their creative energy. Venue was about the right size to accomplish the goal (small enough to create some intimacy with the audience but large enough to accommodate R y G's loud sounds). Couldn't help but feel that while their flamenco-inspired sounds for the last decade have been popular to a niche crowd and certainly provided a prosperous career for both of them that their real love is still with heavy metal. They really came alive, along with a decent portion of the audience, with the unexpected insertion of the Rage Against the Machine number and their partially successful attempt to get the audience to provide the vocals. While we got a hint of what is in their new album with a preview of 2 numbers that didn't seems to connect with the audience (sounded "same old, same old" to me) i would not be surprised or unhappy if we also get some heavy metal inspired pieces as well.

Warm up act was not good. No intro. High volume cowboy chord strumming, unintelligible lyrics. And then we had to suffer thru 1 hour of heavy metal piped thru the speakers as we awaited the main act. R+G are talented but the "show" was weak and uninspired. How many times can you say "foulck?" Un-cool R!

They are simply amazing! The way Gabriella (and sometimes Rodrigo too) use the guitar for percussion is quite unique. At times I would close my eyes and just listen to the music - hard to believe there were only two of them producing that sound. I call their music "flamenco on steroids". It was a little loud for that type of music, but not oppressive. I saw them 4 or 5 years ago in Northampton and they were great then also. Wish they came around more often.

2nd night and another sold out show but this audience is asleep. I really enjoyed that they changed things up from the last show and several new guitar riffs which I loved. This was a shorter show by about 20 minutes most likely because of the audience. I thought it was a great show but only wish it could of been longer. I will go to see them any chance I have because its an amazing high energy guitar show.

I have been a fan for over a decade and have seen them the few times they have come to San Diego and a few music festivals around the country. This is a show that should not be missed. Its hard to explain the guitar fusion or type of music they play. Its just amazing guitar playing. This was the first show which sold out in hours so everyone was high energy and they play a nice long set. This is a show you have to see

The Music was amazing but our seats where we sat were not that great (Section J2). The problem wasn't the view it was the fact that we were packed in like sardines. Also some of the people around us were rude and acting very childish. But the music made up for it. :) I much rather sit up higher were not everyone is seating right on your lap. I've been to the Hollywood Bowl before and I sat up at the top and had a much better time with the people up there and there was plenty of room.
