Ricky Nelson Remembered

This concert was just awesome. You really got a sense of who Ricky Nelson and his family were and are. The family history and current family facts were very heartening to hear - great folks of character, whose lives live on in our hearts! This concert truly WAS AN EXPERIENCE from the talented and gifted music and vocals, to the overhead presentation, to all the great items they shared.

Nelson.... Oh My God! The Ricky Nelson Remembered concert was beyond words. The intimate setting of the gorgeous Rialto Square Theatre, and their loving tribute show to their father made for an unforgettable night. Between their stories and the clips on the screen featuring photos and footage of Ricky Nelson, this show is sure to delight everyone. I can't wait to see it again.

This is an absolutely fantastic show! Gunnar and Matthew are amazingly talented and do their father proud. They are funny and sweet and very entertaining! It is obvious that they love doing this show. It is not just a job for them but a passion. I highly recommend RNR to anyone, even those few who may not be Ricky fans. It is well worth the price of admission just to experience the talent and harmony of his beautiful twin sons. You will not be disappointed.

The show is fabulous! Gunnar and Matthew Nelson sing their father s songs, tell stories and share pictures. It s a great show and highly recommend going to see them!

This is the third time I have seen the Nelson twins do this show. Obviously, I really liked the show, since this was the third time I bought tickets. Mathew and Gunnar are cute and sweet. They tell stories and show video clips and pictures of their Dad, Grandparents and the people they grew up with around their house. Very entertaining. Also, they are good on their guitars and have great voices. They sing a lot of their Dad's songs and sound a lot like him.

Matthew and Gunnar are downright inspirational. The music, their message and the setting all were wonderful. They stayed for at least an hour after the show to chat, sign autographs and pose for photos. Real stars.

Matthew and Gunnar put on an incredible show. This was my 3rd time seeing them and I would go again. My mother enjoyed hearing the old tunes from her time. The Rialto Square Theater in Joliet, IL is beautiful. I hope they come back. I would love to see them playing their own songs as well.

Ricky Nelson was my Mom's teen heartthrob! Bringing her to this show was a trip down memory lane that exceeded her expectations and mine. Matthew and Gunner have created a show full of nostalgia that does not disappoint! Their heartfelt musical story tribute left us wanting to hear more!

I was dubious when I purchased the tickets thinking how could Ricky Nelson's Sons live up to their Father's legacy. But they certainly did big time, and they also demonstrated their exceptional musical skills. I was also impressed with their cordial and genuine appreciation of the audience that came to share in their Father's legacy. They did a great job.

Ricky Nelson Remembered show was awesome. Enjoyed it tremendously. Would see it more than once. The Nelson Bros. were fantastic. Great singer/musicians. Brought back many good memories.

Matthew and Gunnar did their father proud not only in a great sound but in the stories and tribute to Rick. Very entertaining and educational as well illustrating the fine upbringing of these two gentlemen.

This was a fabulous concert! Ricky would be very proud of his sons. What an amzaing story they told through videos, performing and Ricky's songs and telling their story where their love for their father showed through.

This is the second time we have seen the Nelson Bros. preform. Anticipating a great show again, we definitely were not disappointed. They not only delved deep into their fathers history but gave us an expanded view of their upbringing and extended family. They are extremely talented and is showcased in their music. Of course they sang many of their fathers hits but also did some of their own which the audience really loved. I was with a younger person who did not know many of Ricky's songs but did know Gunnar and Matthews. We absolutely love the Rialto and traveled some distance. Well worth the trip. So in closing, cudos to the Rialto for booking them and to the Nelsons for bringing their talent there.

Saw Matthew and Gunnar last night. Songs Were great, but their presentation even greater. Absolutely loved their story telling.

Both bands gave a special performance.Chuck Berry was the first. No small talk between songs. They are talented and a pleasure to see and hear in action. I have to say the Ricky Nelson band which included the twin son's, (and the talented drummer) was fascinating. For all of us who know who Ozzie andHarriet is also ,so nice to hear how the parents are lovingly honored, How incredibly talented the twin sons are, how they carry on and honor their father and their family. Concert was above excellent!

The Chuck Berry portion was so-so. The Nelson revue put on by his two sons was great.

Great to see kids take after generation of entertainment.

Sound was outstanding. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone. Seating was good, staff was courteous, and polite cannot wait to return for our next concert.

The Chuck Berry artist had the songs and moves down, but that was it. He needed to have some commentary, like this was Berry's biggest hit, his first hit, he recorded this one when...etc. He played a lot of songs, but there was no context. The backup band was great--especially the tenor sax. He should have watched the Nelson twins tribute to their dad--that was terrific! They played clips, put songs into context, recounted personal stories and made their dad come alive and their love for him was clear. They each took a turn singing lead and the vocal similarity to Rick was obvious. Very enjoyable and made me want to dig out my Ricky Nelson CDs. I wish I had stayed to meet them and buy the Tribute CD.

This is my third show put on by the brothers, two remembering Ricki and one Christmas show. They are so down to earth and approachable. The last I saw them was last December and they had both grown out their hair long since then.. The shows are very reasonably priced. After I saw the first show at the Paramount in St Cloud I sent an email to Jackpot Junction telling if they ever had a chance to book them they should.

Excellent performance from start to finish. Matthew and Gunnar not only bring back the music of their father, but also share so many delightful stories about Ricky. Great music, super back-up band, and all in all, a very fun show.

Loved the show they are very talented and it was fun learning about their dad and their growing up years.

The Nelson twins are accomplished musicians and performers.

I saw this show mainly because I was a fan of the Nelson twins in their heyday, but I loved everything about this show, even though it included none of their hits. I didn't know a lot about their father, but their voices are great as well as the songs he played, and their stories were warm and informative and made for a great night of entertainment. I don't generally write reviews but I was very moved by the performance. I also brought my son, who's 7, and he was entertained as well. Highly recommend.

The show was absolutely awesome! Ricky's boys do a great job of keeping their father's memory alive. They are both very talented singers and musicians and have so many cool stories to tell that fans never knew before. I recommend this show to everyone.

This was an awesome experience for all ages! For us seasoned rockers, this brought back wonderful memories! For the younger crowd this was a fun way to see and hear music history and learn what great music we had back in the day. The Nelson twins are very talented and a great tribute to their dad. Awesome job! Ricky would be very Honored and proud of his son's sharing their memories of growing ups with him.

I saw the Nelson brothers in Mesa, Az last year. They told stories, showed movies and sang all their dad's songs. They brought back great memories for many people. It was such a great performance I am going to see them again this March in Gilbert. I for one, can't wait to see them again. They even said we could take pictures of them performing. Two wonderful gentlemen.
