Big Easy Blues Festival

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR, THE ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WERE THE HIGH PRICES AT THE CONCESSION STAND!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the concert from start to finish.I loved Tucka!Can't wait until next year!

good show and started on time. Performances were good, although sir charles seemed a little off his usual greatness. never thought i'd ever be less then ecstatic about his show. Anyway, he did do a lot of songs i like, he just didn't seem into them. The comedian MC is always funny. Too many on stage distractions (entourage)

Always wanted to go and now that I have I don't need to ever again. I m a 50 yr woman and I felt as if I was at a nursing home event. some people need to no when to give up the game.

We had a blast n I'll b attending this event every year I'm n love with Sir Charles...He was the BEST!!!

The show was awesome! Denise still sounds great! Never heard of Ronnie Bell, he has a new fan! 1st time seeing Labrado & The Manhattans they isn't disappoint! Last but not least, Sir Charles ALWAYS give a great set! This is going to become an annual event for me.

Denise LaSalle had to sit on a stool because she said her back was hurting and she needed help walking on the stage. I dont want to spend my money to see that! Sir Charles and Mel Waiters were great!Sir Charles finished his performance and announced he was taking pictures and giving his autograph in the lobby, he walked thru the floor seating hugging and greeting ppl and by the time he got to the lobby and I used the restroom(about 7-10) minutes, he was gone! Very disappointing to me! Labrado was good but I dont think I will be returning next year. They need to add Betty Wright on there if they need a female Blues Singer, not Denise LaSalle! My main reason to attend was for Sir Charles, so if he doesnt perform a concert alone, I wont go! Then they had a Michael Jackson impersonator there(a tragedy) Really they couldve did better!

Everything was awesome! Our seats ended up being upgraded to floor seats (which was a super plus). We were close to the stage! Dancing and singing! We got special parking and free CDs..one of the musicians was flirting with me haha! It was a blast!

This concert was amazing!!! I would recommend other's to go see it

The entire concert was off the chain. This was the best one out of six. I attend eevery year but it was this year that was off the chain. I enjoyed myself and meet lots of new friends. I couldnt sit down the entire nite. Thanks for such a great nite!!!

Wost concert I have ever attended. The MC was a comic want-to-be and was not funny. The promotion promised performers that were not there, mainly Bobbie Womack.

this was my first time attending the Blues Concert and it definitely wil not be my last. this concert was awesome. I've told my family and friends about this and next years we're all going to be there. We will get our tickets early. thanks for such a classy concerts....

I enjoyed the show. had a great time. Mel Waiter was very entaining. I enjoyed Denice Lasalle.

Started on time. Very well organized, just hope that the next time I select a seat it will be near a place where no one has to stand up in your view all night.

Even though most people figure only older people enjoy the blues. Well I'm here to say the blues festival was rocking. I loved all the performers especially Ms. Denise(grown and nasty).

Show was awesome. All performers were great. I danced and had a blast from begin to end.

I was disappointed because a lot of names I have known to be on this ticket wasn't there such as Floyd Taylor, Theodis Ealey, , Bobby Blue Bland and Shirley Brown. I enjoyed Denise LaSalle and Mel Waiters.

It was great but some of the band music was so bad I could not understand the words of the singer. Sir Charles and Labrado they need to tell they band to quited down they're music was not enjoyable. Now for T K Soul Benny Latimore Denise LaSalle and Mel waiters and Lacee was great. The people working the sound board horrible.

Nice show, kept it moving between acts, very entertainting and I would attend the next blue show if they returned again. Disappointed that the one song my husband and I wanted to hear was not preformed, the Artist fail to show. ( I found love only a lone Highway). That is my husband and I signature song and we were celebrating Feb. 14th early for the weekend.

Blues fest was lots of fun and very entertaining! Clarence Carter's stories between songs was pure comedy and he delivered on the music front as well. Sir Charles Jones did his thing very well. Millie Jackson was ok, but Mel Waiters stole the show! He's stage craft and professionally delivered songs hit the mark. Check out the fest and I know you'll enjoy it!

I am a blues fan from way back. Although the greats are pretty much gone now (Johnny Taylor, Tyrone Davis, Mavin Cease and to some extent Bobby Bland and BB King)Millie Jackson did not hold up her end of the show. She was billed as the main act, yet, four acts appeared before her and she only sang three for four songs. She looked great! I expected to hear her hits and her wit. Maybe age has changed her, but I was not impressed by her lack of energy. The younger guys (Tucka and Sir Charles) are not as bluesy as they are r&b. Clarence Carter has hit his last "stroke". Mel Waiters was okay. Very low energy show.

I've supported the Blues Fest for the last six years and I don't think I'm coming back next year. The show is starting to be the same old acts and no knew material is getting to be boring. Then Jeff Floyd didn't show up. You don't give the singers enough time to perform. Two and a half songs if you are lucky. Tucker shouldn't have been included in the performance, if I wanted to hear his song I would have played his cd. I'm sorry, I understand he need a break but he should have paid a another band to play for him. I always sit on the floor so I paid the highest price to enjoy myself. If you have some of the sames singers fine. Tell them they need new material. I was able to tell my husband what Clarence Carter was going to do next or say. Hope you plan next year better and leave Jeff Floyd off the ticket please.

Tucker was good......Sir Charles was great.....Millie Jackson left something to be desired! Mel was good and Clarence Carter needs to retire.

I enjoyed the concert,but the only thing I don't like is okay most of the ppl. Were older and how do you expect them to go up all those ramps? I'm in my 30's and had a hard time getting up there. I'm @ work my legs are hurting me.But over all I really had a blast.

This was my 1st time going to the blues concert but sure wont be my last I really enjoyed myself and wanted to go again the next day now I can't wait until they come back I'm going to get front row seats they can charge me now if they want to cause I will be in the building keep up the good work

Sir Charles was unforgettably entertaining! Let's have him back again. Clarence Carter also gave a good show! Overall, the show was excellent. I would recommend going to see it.

I will be waiting on this event again next year!!.me and the wife really enjoyed the show!!..

The acts were nice. It started on time and the crowd was kept entertained.

Everyone who performed did a great job. The whole show from start to finish was good.

The sound system was off!! The artists were doing their best but we could not hear them throughout the concert. The DJ at the intermission was the best part. Calvin Richardson was fantastic though, beautiful singing voice!! Next time, I will look for a concert featuring Calvin Richardson only!!

Great show! Pokey Bear was amazing! He should have closed out the show but other wise it was good!

It was an awesome show...Everything I anticipated...Had a good time.

Where to begin? This year have been the worst year "EVERY". Please get a new line-up and make sure the sound check is together. 178.00 down the drain..

I took my Momma to this blues festival. She had an amazing night. Her and my Uncle normally go, and he just passed away last month, his presence was truly felt that night. I m not a blues person, but the bounce music in between made my night!!!

The Blues Fest was an awesome experience always heard talk about it & decided to go & now it a must for the years to come all performers was unique in their own way

Even though I like, Tucka, Sir Charles Jones, TK Soul, Tyree. I would have loved to see and hear some ladies. It wasn't like the other ones I've been too. But it turned out nice and we loved our seats. Looking forward to next year already hoping there will be a few ladies in the line-up and hope we get the same seats.

I had a Great time. Everyone was good. I got my money worth. Can't wait for rhem all to come back. Thanks for putting Tucka on.

The concert was too short. Artist did not sing enough songs. Tk was a great performer!

Enjoy everything from the sports bar to the main acts. Would like to see more security to control the smokers and to keep the walk ways clear for safety reason. Also, would like people to set in their assigned seats, We witness so many folks that were required to move because they were occupying someone else's set, to enclued ours. Pay the extra money for the better location or sign up early for the sets of preference, don't inconvenience others. Still, a good time was had.

My Husband had never been to a Blues concert so this was his first one. He was really impressed and had a great time. The blues lyrics can be a bit riskier so that really blue his mine listening to the music. We had such a good time and to make an impression on my 60 year old northern husband was really great.

Great performances by all the artists. Even the MC kept the crowd going in between sets. The sound was great. Will definitely attend again. Only thing I dislike about the venue is there are no elevators or stairs to get into bldg...you have to walk up ramps.

i hAVE NEVER ATTENDED A CONCERT OR A FESTIVAL BUT I REALLY MUST SAY I REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF NEITHER HAS MY HUBBY WE GO TO WORK AND HOME I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MY PEEPS FOR GETTING US OUT THE HOUSE

My husband and I have been to the Blues Fest in the past. This was by far the most uneventful. The lineup was boring and I fell asleep.

We enjoyed every minute of the show including drinks at Spotlight prior to the show

We had Great time from the beginning til the end..

We danced to our favorite songs, my fiancé & I had a great time.

This was my first Blues Fest. Number one the sound quality was horrible. We could barely make out what the MC was saying and appreciate the music. It was horrible! On the other hand we paid for VIP parking that we didn't get and the open bar which was fantastic. We drank as much as we wanted for 1 and 1/2 hours and it was great and well worth the price. The bar tender was very friendly and professional. The waitress that passed the orderves around was as well.

Event was good the only setback was that some stars left before the final performance and we were not able to get our picture taken with them and not a wide variety of tee shirt sizes for sale.

The concert was not all it was cracked up to be. The main events came on and song a total of two or three songs and was gone in a blink of an eye. It took them longer to set up the stage then it did for them to perform.

The was spectacular. They were all awesome and rocked the house.
