This concert was awesome!! The Paradise Club was the perfect venue, making it cozy and intimate. Augustana was amazing, on point and so into the music that I fell in love with them all over again! His voice was as awesome as ever and he was playin with my heart. Soo much fun! Will definitely go again if they're ever back.

The concert was set at the amazing Varsity Theater and the atmosphere was filled with excitment and everyone was so happy to be there. The guys put on an amazing show even though the lead singer was sick with the flu.

the concert was very good although the lead singer was a little altered..he said he had the flu and some of his actions on stage were distracting. however, his combined talent in voice and lyrics joined with music was surreal and the band's improv version of dylan's "just like a woman" was completely memorable, along with all their own best songs. the concert was short and that was disappointing, but overall, it was a great musical experience and look forward to seeing augustana in the future.

I had an absolutely amazing time at the Augustana concert. They were awesome, talented performers and it was purely a joy to see. The only negative was the dip crap sitting next to me talking. I will seek them out and will never miss a show in my town again!!!

We were introduced to Augustana when they toured with Counting Crows last year. We saw them last September in St Louis and they were just as good this time. They played a couple of cover songs and I would have rather heard them play a couple more of their songs. So many good ones they have they didnt have time for. Again just a wonderful concert.

Augustana delivered a wonderful performance but I expect nothing less. They have a full catalog of songs to choose from plus they have started playing covers. I blame their management for their success not being greater.

It was a fun show. The entertainment level was higher than expected. They even closed it off by grabbing their guitars and starting a sing along with the crowd in the general admission section. Well worth it!

this concert was so much fun... I loveee both of their cds and they sang songgs from both. They sounds so good if not better live. They just looked like they were having so much fun up on stage which makes it even more fun for the crowd. At the end of the show they came down into the crowd and played their last song. The opening band was also good! I had never heard of them but they were a great band and sounded good live

It was one of the best concert I've been to seeing the band. I've seen them several times and this by far was the best. They did different versions of their songs, like Fire. They all sang it together instead of Dan singing it by himself. They came out into the crowd with acoustic guitars and sang a song in the middle of the crowd. It was great!

July 1 at HOB, Red Wanting Blue's performance was head and shoulders above all previous shows I have seen them in and I was already a fan! Talk about coming together as a band! Augustana was good, the crowd especially in the back of the room took away some enjoyment of the performance, but despite the noise etc they kept it going.

Both bands had a great stage presence and put on an awesome show. I went to the concert because I love my Red Wanting Blue CD my daughter gave to me and this was the first time I saw them live. This was the second show for my daughter. I really didn't know much of Augustana's music, but again I have my daughter to thank. How lucky I was to see both of these bands live. It was an awesome night out for both my daughter and I. If you want to hear great music and have a great time catch one of these shows you won't be sorry!!

I was disappointed. The lead singer looked strung out. He was not cool at all. He looked like he might way 90lbs soaking wet. Acted like he was doped out of his mind. Messed up the second song and had to restart. The band kept fiddling with there amps throughout the show while they were playing a song. Like they were back stage getting hammered and never tuned there instruments. When the singer spoke he sounded like a retard, making jokes that "only 9 people knew who Augustana was". Well loser, we don't know who you are because your just a knock off drug using, skinny ass wanna be goo goo dolls/cold play. Cut the attitude, take your concert seriously enough to not be wasted and maybe someday someone from the rock roll capital of the world will give to craps about who you are. I hope my money goes to his drug rehab stay.

Augustana was so much fun. Not many people were in attendance which surprised me because of the popularity is seems that they have. I loved it none-the-less, it was an intimate performance which made it ultra special. They must have done at least 25-30 songs straight without taking a break. It was such an amazing night!!!

Opening band was really good. Augustana was great!! They rocked out! Got to try out their new material since there were only 125 people TOTAL in the entire venue, noone complained. I don't know if was because the show was on a Monday night or if it's the Paramount's fault for not promoting the show, but it was only a benefit to me as I could walk up to the stage and back to the bar as often as I wanted.

I went to see them in Atlanta the other night and they were absolutely phenomenal. I say with this with no exaggeration but when you see and hear Dan sing it is almost a religious experience! I sincerely hope their fan base will keep them going because I would not be happy if that was the last time I got to see them perform. Hopefully I'll get to see Dan again in Atlanta but until then I'll just have to listen to their songs on repeat.

After hearing the awful news that Augustana had broken up, it was amazing to hear that Daniel was still determined to perform and write new music. Although the lineup has changed since the original formation of Augustana, the new members did not disappoint. Daniel was INCREDIBLE! The set was over two hours long, full of old classics, and a few new songs! Daniel was so happy to be on stage, it was so refreshing to see. I can only hope that they continue touring and creating music! It truly was an unforgettable night and one of the greatest performances I've had the pleasure of seeing.

They were the 'other' band when I went to see Counting Crows in Sept. '10 - I just wasn't familiar with them. I was blown away then and couldn't wait for this show. Definitely worth the wait. A record label better pick them up so they go on the road again...I don't want Daniel's voice & personality disappearing from the scene.

I loved the small size of the venue; it was very intimate and easy to see, unless you're short, which is always a problem. Not a lot of overwhelming lights or effects going on. Feels more like a jam session with the musicians than a full blown concert. Loved it.

After a year of not knowing where Augustana was in the world they came back with a bam. The concert was filled with emotion starting from the very first song to the very last were Daniel finished in tears. It was a mix of old songs and new ones where every song made the crowd go wild. This 90's rock band even experimented with new background tracks and mixed their rock sound with the new wave electronic sound. That gave their songs a whole new dynamic and almost in one song an island feel. Everyone knows this band for their famous song "Boston," which of course they played, but all the other songs that they played in the jam packed show presented a much larger picture of the band. In moving forward Daniel the lead singer is one year sober and is moving into a positive part of his life that he reflected in his new songs about his lovely wife and his three children. With the entire concert played with smiles on their faces Augustana is a must see. This concert made everyone in the crowd fall back in love with their music.

I freakin love AUGUSTANA!!! They are one of the best bands EVER! Unfortunately, the threat of Hurricane Earl may have kept a lot of fellow fans from attending this awesome show, but it was great for those of us that we're there! It was like a private show, very initmate and personal. I have seen Augustana several times over the years and twice already this year with the Counting Crows circus, but I could not WAIT for them to have their own show so they could play more of their music (they only get a brief set at the circus shows). Anyway, I loved the set list, a mix of songs from All Stars & Boulevards and Can't Love, Can't Hurt, a few covers and some great new songs which we're eagerly waiting for to come out! I really love all of their songs. I love Dan's voice and I love learning to play their songs on guitar, their music is just so amazing. Truly. I must say the guys in the band are some of the nicest around. I have met them a few times now but I finally got my picture with Dan!!! He was so nice, he came over to those of us who were at the front of the line, to say hi, thank us for coming early and take pictures. <3 him! Chris was great and came out to chat with us after the show too. Such really nice and appreciative guys, that make supporting them really personal. You want this band to succeed and hopefully we can have a little part in that! :)

We have been Augustana fans for a while now so we were a bit concerned when the original members left Dan to front on his own. Well, Dan can handle it!! He sounded amazing and his new bandmates did a fine job at the show. The guitarist actually kicked ass! Really loving the new album and it's always wonderful to hear bands take standard favorites and kick them up a level as was done with "Fire." Augustana have to be one of the most under appreciated bands in the world. Their music comes from the heart, and you can hear it in every note Dan Layus sings and plays. I have seen Augustana live three years in a row now, and each year it gets better and better. Definitely go see them if you have a chance, you will discover a whole new world of music that will make you feel good and bring tears to your eyes.

Hadn't heard of Augustana until I caught them w/ Counting Crows in Sept 2010. The stripped down show was incredible. The songs were really clear and each was a fantastic version of the original, along with quite a few new songs that were also fantastic. Augustana albums do not do Dan Layus's voice justice. He is absolutely incredible, and every song sounded better live! They played songs off of all their albums as well as a bunch of new sounds that also were amazing. The bottom line: You would be sorry to miss seeing Augustana on tour, they are an incredible band (even if it is two people now) and terribly underrated.

This show was amazing! I had seen augustana about 5 years ago when their stars and boulevards album was out (entire album was great!) and they were really good live. I've continued to be a fan and listen to their more recent hits like "sweet and low" and "steal your heart". When I saw they were coming to Boston again my girlfriends and I figured it would be a fun night out so we bought tickets. The show far exceeded our expectations! The acoustic vibe at the paradise was so intimate. I gained a much stronger appreciation for Dan's vocals and songwriting talent and the guy with him (sorry, don't know his name) was a beautiful musician. I knew quite a bit of songs but ended up falling in love with the new songs I had never heard. That, to me, is a true indication of how good a band is - if you can be blown away by music you've never heard before. I fell in love with every single new song they played - "youth is wasted on the young", "need a little sunshine", "love is in the air", "alive", and more! Turns out these song are not even on an album or available to purchase on itunes yet, but I will certainly be looking out for them. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Overall a wonderful night out and left feeling so glad I was able to be there.

Augustana - incredibly talented, raw honest open emotion, sheer powerful love songs and a voice that truly inspires many. Augustan made a great choice in selecting Greylag as a touring partner for this tour. The musical styles complemented each other perfectly. I highly recommend seeing both of these bands any chance that you get.
