After 15 years I decided to go to the Traveler's Championship this year. I went on Friday and saw some of the greatest players in the world, young & old. Spieth, Day, Thomas, McIlroy, Watson, Furyk, Reed, Koepka, Simpson. It was nothing short of a very memorable day.

My husband and I have been going to the FINAL ROUND for the past 10 years or so. This year we decided to go to a practice round; as it allows you to get closer to the players and have the opportunity to take pix and get autographs. It wasn't until the night before did I know it was the CELEBRITY PRO AM. I saw the list of names and was even more excited about going. The whole day was a wonderful experience. Both the pros (for the most part) and the celebs (except a few ~ no names will be mentioned) we so gracious to the fans. Many stopped to sign autographs and have pix taken with the fans. My heart melted each time i saw a young child ask for an autograph and the pro/celeb bent down to their level to sign. This is something the young child will remember forever. Can't wait to go back again next year.

This event draws a few of the biggest names but mostly golfers in the second tier. The grounds are very nice and it is not overly crowded so you can get around and follow your favorites or stay at a hole and watch everyone come through. Food choices are not of the healthiest variety, lots of chips, beer, meats, etc. Good kid zone but a lot of commercialism has crept in over the years

This tournament was a nice experience, and it's really great to go the first day. Non-stop play, crowds easy and managable, parking not a mile away, concession lines not too crazy, no local traffic backed up to event. Able to see the players up close. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced general admission grounds pass. Planning on going again next year.

Travelers tickets are very affordable and the course is very accessible. We lucked out and went on the day Jim Furyk scored a 58. Good food, plenty of beverage options and activities for the family.

I live in MA, so I have a two hour drive. By the time we got there, a lot of the players were finishing their round. Play was done for the day at 1:30pm, so we didn't get to see some of the players that we wanted to see. My wife does not care for the golf that much, so she was looking forward to the concert after play was completed. We were disappointed to find out that the concert was cancelled due to the threat of bad weather. There was never a drop of rain, and at 2pm we decided to leave. We paid $15 to park this year.(the most ever) There were plenty of people available to direct us where to park, but not a single person to help direct the cars as they were leaving the lot. It took over two hours to get out of our parking lot. I have been attending the golf tournaments at Hartford every year since watching Sam Snead play at Weathersfield C.C. This year was a terrible experience, and will most likely be my last. You people should be ashamed, you can do better than that!

This tournament is always well run, fan and family friendly and an excellent venue. The course is great and a good walking track. The players involved are all excellent but keep in mind this isn't a Major or the Barclays, so your not getting all the headliners. The ticket price is more than fair and you get music/concerts on Thurs and Sat nights included. The parking is in abundance and priced at $15, but you can also go local for $5-$10 and park on someone's property within walking distance to the course. Highly recommend this if your a golf fan and if not a fan, its worth walking around for the day and the experience. also...this event is usually in June and much more comfortable weather

The event is great and it is pretty easy to get around the course and be at the high action spots (holes 15-17) or less crowded holes where you can really be up close with the players. I brought my 6 year old son so we loved the kids zone activities that they had. A couple issues I had - we went on Saturday and they moved all tee times up for a bad reason. I was lucky to notice in the morning so we could hurry there and still be there for about 3 hours of golf. They said there were concerns of thunderstorms in the afternoon. It was like 40% chance and never happened. I've learned from extensive experience to never make big plan changes because there is a medium chance of rain around here in the summer. There pretty much always is that chance and frustrating that the PGA tour weather people made this call. Even if it was a washout after 3 PM (which it never was going to last for more than an hour), they could've still easily finished on time on Sunday. My other issue is the lack of free water. It's an event with thousands of people outside in 90 degree August weather far away from medical attention and they are going to make you pay $4 for a bottle of water? That's cruel and frankly should be illegal. I hope nothing ever happens, but I could see a lawsuit. A lot of people don't like to pay that much for water after already paying good money for tickets to an event.

If you like golf you have to attend this event. You are up close to the pro's and the game. You can walk the course or just plant yourself someplace and wait for the players to come by. There are ample refreshment stands throughout. My only complaint was need more rest rooms. I am not a golfer but I go every year with my husband and enjoy it. Wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and plenty of sunscreen. Lotion is also available at the medical tent if you forget. Read the prohibited list before you go, but if you mess up they have lockers for rent. Have fun!

Seating was terrible, barely could see the green through the railings didn't matter what seat you were in. Wish I had the $500 back I spent on 2 tickets.! It says row 2 seats 1&2 but there was no assigned seating it was first come first serve.

I have gone to the Travelers for the last 5 years and it has always been a great time. My only wish is that a few more of the "Top" players attended, Jordan, Jason Day etc. I attended the US Open this year and would put this on a par with that! High compliments indeed. Also, it would be nice if there were more areas to get water, the US Open had some Hydration stations to fill bottles. I will be back next year!

Two wonderful days at The Travelers Championship. Is there a better run sports event anywhere?, certainly not in the Golf world. Ninth consecutive year of attendance and well worth the 550 round-trip. Thanks to the organizers, volunteers, players and The Travelers for such an outstanding mega-community event, and hope the charitable contributions matched the effort all made to stage a world-class event.

I took my mother who is in a wheelchair to see her favorite golfers that she watches on the golf channel whenever she is watching TV. I was concerned about getting around in the wheelchair and stray golf balls from the amateurs. However my fears were unfounded. People at the Pro-Am were extremely helpful. The pros and the amateurs were very accommodating and we felt very safe hanging out by the 10th hole tee. The weather was spectacular which made all the difference. We were there for four and half hours and it remains a gold memory for my mother. We hope to do it again next year and get up earlier so we can catch Bubba!

great day of golf! The discouraging point of the day was trying to get out of the parking lot. It took us 1 hour and 15 mins before we moved from our parking space. They need to reevaluate the exiting system.

I have been attending the Travelers Championship for many years - a well run event with immaculate grounds, plenty of restrooms and decent food (albeit pricey), The bad news comes when you have to leave - we were in the parking lot for over an hour on Sunday before we hit the main road to leave with ABSOLUTELY no attendants in the lot. Premium parking cost me $20 via Ticketmaster. So save yourself the $ and aggravation - either take the shuttle or park in a resident's yard where they offer parking.

Parking was reasonable, parked in a residential home back yard for $5, had to walk a 1/4 mike to the gate. Crowds were not huge, made for some nice opps to get close to players. One major complaint. Beer line was long and took forever. Need more lines, cash only and quicker servers. 10 people ahead of me and it took over s half hour to get your $10 domestic beer. Ugh. Did get close in the 18th green and saw Bubba hit the stick to win it. Walked to our car and the heavens opened up. I m sure a lot of people leaving got soaked. Overall a good day, would like to see more top players playing but so be it.

We paid $280 dollars each, for food, drinks and a seat at the 18th hole. The food was sparse and not good quality. The drinks choice was limited and they ran out of some brands of beer. The seating was poor as you could not see the 18th green putting surface if you were not in the first two rows.

My wife made sure her pocketbook was within the guidelines stated on the ticket. A lady in front of us in the line going in had a full size pocketbook and the security person let her in. Other than that it is a very well run event.

We felt Travelers has way too many private bleachers set up for clients only at the golf course, thus limiting the viewing areas on tees for the general public. Travelers should make more bleachers available to the general public.

This was our third visit in a row to the Travelers Championship and we highly recommend this event. We go either Thursday or Friday to avoid the crazy crowds. The big players come out and the venue is beautiful. A lush course nestled among the woods with some interesting water features especially the back 9. This year some of the lounges/clubs were open to the public, which I took advantage of in the afternoon when I was done walking around. There was the Stanley Black and Decker Lounge right on the 18th fairway which was a perfect view. This golf event never disappoints!

We attended the Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday and it was a wonderful day. There were several small changes to the venue that made such a big difference. We usually park off the 9th hole in the farm area and walk. They now have a shuttle to bring you from the car to the entrance; saving you steps to conserve for the day. They have placed a lot more porta-potties through out; getting rid of long lines. A new cut through by the 17th, so you don't have to walk all the way around. Cooling benches and fans to help beat the heat. It was great being able to see the PROs/Celebs up close and many of them were stopping for photos/autographs. It made my heart happy to see the young children looking up to their golf idols as they signed and took pictures with them. Those young children are our future golfers! Overall it was an amazing day; looking forward to the final round! Hats off to Travelers for all they do to make this such a successful event that help so many charities through out the year.

The perfect tournament course. Incredibly intimate for fans - world's most famous players mere feet away. And most of them appear to be enjoying the event as much as we are. The course is much harder than it looks. Almost nobody can hold a lead without giving back an occasional stroke, and it is rare for the winner to finish more than one stroke ahead. This year's playoff sand trap chip-in win by Jordan Spieth was the 23rd playoff in tournament history. We have seen playoffs in four of the last eight years now. The only reason there weren't five was that Kevin Streelman in 2014 birdied the 18th hole to win by one - after birdieing 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. I still don't believe it.

Paid $275/ticket for the Champions Tent above the 18th green. Great view but complimentary food was awful. And, had to wait on line at the bar to just to get a diet coke. Could have had soft drinks in a cooler with ice? Not sure if I will do this again because you don't know what the food selection will be until you enter. So it's a crap shoot.

The 2017 Travelers Championship was a great experience. Bigger crowds than ever, but the event manages to stay up close and personal. I was able to view current stars on the PGA Tour including Jordan Speith, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Daniel Berger, Patrick Reed, & Bubba Watson from a distance as close as 10 - 20 feet! The on-site parking makes in and out no hassle.

It was not clear when I ordered the tickets, that 1 ticket was actually for a pair of tickets. So when I ordered 3 tickets, I actually paid/received 6 tickets. We could not get access to the sponsors section until 10am, even though the gates opened at 7am. Location was very good to watch golfers playing on the 18th hole but ther was no cover while watching the golfers. Some of the holes you were within 6 feet of the golfers.
