Every year I go to the Outside Lands festival with the goal of being exposed to new bands. This year's winner for me was Electric Six. I can't believe I had not heard of them before. I loved their energy and songs.

All in all, this was a quality production. The food was pretty good, some of it very good. The music was definitely varied, from Al Green and his daughters, etc, to Social D (who rocked as usual), to Janelle Monae (the only act we saw that was late - due to a delayed airplane earlier - everything else started spot on time), to Phoenix, Kings of Leon and Temper Trap. The sound quality was pretty good. They had enough shitters that there were never long lines, but wow, drunk people are assholes by the end of the day putting non-crap in the porta - potties. And that immaturity carried over to the trash scene in general...despite a champion effort by organizers to compost and recycle, there was trash EVERYWHERE by the end of the weekend. I'm sure that it is clean now, but this may be one of the reasons that tickets cost so much, because it takes a huge staff to pick up! The corporate sponsorship was wayyy too obvious and off-putting. Nice water refill program. I would go again.

I specially found the location of sutro and main stage convenient with the performers of both stages varied and excellent. We spent time between both stages going from one performance to the other and found the transitions quick and without the frightening trampling feeling from the past years when sutro was located elsewhere. We were also able to visit the other stages because of other performances that were original like Beats Antique. I felt that there were enough varied performers to satisfy the different ages that seem very pronounced this year. I also felt that the Strokes fans were a bit more aggressive and rude than the fans from the previous two years. I wasn't particularly impressed by the Strokes; they were good but as far as live entertainment were pretty dull or at least seemed to think too much of themselves. I thought the Intel Room was a bit like a futuristic drug bar. It was very entertaining but I couldn't quite understand the concept of what they were trying to do. All I got from it was a great place to rest (their sofas were really comfy) and space out. The blue haired girls with their white suits the big screen of unrelated, illogical images, the leggos and etch a sketch, the liquid oxygen in vials, the air bar and beer bar.... it's a futuristic drug bar where you can get a fix and space out. Great insight into the future. The food is excellent in the festival. Overall, I think we are getting better in planning which bands to see and how to accomplish it; and I think as long as Outside Lands brings in awesome bands like Gogol Bordello (the best performers for Saturday), we will keep coming back. Great Job Outside Lands!!

The Strokes were orgasmic. The festival was average. Lots of free giveaways. plenty of sweepstakes to enter. But well worth the headlining bands! Pretty chill. I recommend street parking, as you will be walking most of the day (It wont hurt to walk a few more blocks to save some money!) Bring comfortable shoes and a warm sweater for the night. An overall fun event and the Strokes made it spectacular.

This was the best two days of my adult life. The artists were fantastic, the venue is both idyllic and chock full of everything you could ever want. The wine is great, the food is delicious. This place is pricey, but it is well worth it. I will remember my summer internship in SF largely from this weekend. Amazing.

I attended Saturday, primarily to see Furthur but also was interested in Pimps of Joytime, Cat Power and Levon Helm and any band that captured my attention. The sound was good, music interesting, fun and dynamic but the logistics were a bit off. The restrooms were such a hike, I missed a lot of music just walking to a fro (from the main stage), which was a bummer. Perhaps, I overlooked some along the way? I love beer and was profoundly disappointed Heineken had a monopoly on this event. With such a wide variety of wines to pick why wasn't the same consideration given to beer choices? Heineken? Give me a break! Sierra Nevada and/or Lagunitas; something yummy that makes us happy AND supports our local economy would be optimal. With such a limited beer choices, you think the restroom situation wouldn't be a factor for me! Thank you for putting on this fun event! I look forward to next year. :-)

Excellent set from these guys. I sensed a Doors influence early in the set and was knocked out when the ripped into a classic Riders On the Storm for a few minutes and later gave Babo O'Reily a shot and kicked it out of the spacious surroundings ( not enough people were there to see this). These guys are a fantastic live act and in a smaller room would be amazing I'm sure.

I essentially went to see My Morning Jacket who hadn't been in the bay area for almost two years. The event was very professionally produced, the food selection was exceptional and I really liked the emphasis on composting and recycling but outside of MMJ and the Dead revival I didn't think the lineup was anything close to the two years prior.

The event made for a very nice day, but the extra VIP upcharge proved a poor cost-to-benefit add on. If I went back, I would definitely go general admission. Levon Helms Band set was great, Further played very well although the song choice was a bit morose, My Morning Jacket rocked but was ultimately somewhat forgettable, and Gogol Bordello were very entertaining and energetic. WineLands bar was very nice, indeed, but the dining was hit-or-miss.

We went to the first one, skipped the next one...then only attended one day of this one. The scaled down version was much better...less walking. As for the line up--weak. Furthur was amazing..played for over 2 hours. My Yellow Jacket...or whatever they are called (worst name for a band!) ended up blowing my mind. They totally jammed. A lot of stuff was a total rip off!!! The wine tastings-went before and liked it...but this time it was 2$ for one taste. And you were forced to buy 10$ blocks of tickets. What the hell? But there was the biggest rip off of them all...the water. They were trying to force you to buy this water bottle for 15$...then buy refills for 1$. Maybe they haven't heard of the depression, mass unemployment and foreclosures. Water should be free and everywhere to prevent drunk people from dehydration. That would be the RESPONIBLE thing to do. I have a feeling that there will be no Outerlands next year, unless the economy makes a big come back.

I was really impressed with the sound system for the only 2 shows I heard, My Morning Jacket and Further. I had heard My Morning Jacket at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, and left early because the sound was so muddy and over-amplified. At the polo field it was crystal clear and I really enjoyed JIm James' vocals and John Kadlecik's beautiful guitar playing. Bobby sure looks and sounds good these days too.

Some varying sound quality issues. Could barely hear Cat Power, did you guys turn down the sound for some reason. Also, the lighting on the stages was pathetic - could not even see some of the musicians, and the one spot light was aimed at the drummer. The lead singers had to keep moving over to that spotlight to be seen. On the plus side: Food was good, lots of choices - people serving were very courteous. The DJ booth could have been three times the size to accommodate more people, but was very cool. I loved that management set up the recycling of garbage. It was a good event, lots of musical variety, and quality acts. I would go again.

We were prepared to see only one act. But the whole event was better than expected! Arriving early, we had a great opportunity to take in all of the vendors' wares and get our bearings while sipping fantastic coffees (thank you, Philz!). Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars was the first act we watched, and the show was high energy and delightful as always. We also enjoyed Bassnectar (despite the sound system failure early in his set) and Beats Antique, a Bay Area favorite put on a hip-shaking, belly dancing good time. The piece de resistance for us, however was Gogol Bordello. Nonstop energy... great sound quality, and crowd unifying! Even spectators that were not familiar with the Bordello sound were jumping en masse, singing and shouting along! Completely worth the price of admission just to see Gogol Bordello. My only complaint? the stage times were rather short for each act. We left as Wolfmother was well into their set... the crowds were intense. All in all, a fantastic Bay Area event!

Very well run festival. I think it was Rolling Stone that said Outside Lands runs like an atomic clock. Great food at fair prices (considering...and compared to say a major sporting event). The line up is varied so there is something for everyone. For me personally, I went to see the variety of music it had to offer (I like a very wide range of genres)..but, I did specifically want to see Wolfmother and did the ever deliver. Andrew Stockdale and company cranked out a cover of the Doors "Riders of the Storm" that really hit the mark....I mean they are is SF. Plus, it was the usual cold, wet SF summer night. Also ran through a cover of the Who's "Teenage Wasteland" and flat out nailed it.

This was an unforgettable set list. From Al Green to Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, there was something for everyone. There were so many different types of people that ranged in age as well as style--that variety speaks for the music; obviously these bands are good enough to bridge any type of racial, ethnic, age, or any other barrier. I will go next year.

This event was enjoyable and clean!!! All the bands that I saw were on their game!!!! I especially enjoyed Amos Lee and look forward to hearing more from him. The crowd was well behaved except for the kid who urinated on the ground behind us while we were watching Al Green (Not Cool Dude) I would have liked a little more time to get from one stage to the other...I missed the opening songs of three of the bands.:( I really enjoyed the fact that I was able to get fresh fruit from an organic Farm vendor and fresh Tea from the coffee vendor. I go to a number of concerts a year (next stop ACL) and Outside Lands is in this years top 5.

Amazingly hassle-free,with a backdrop of food, drink and merchandise vendors as well as alternative venues like the dj tent this year's OL festival featured an incredible line up of musical acts set in a beautiful and karmically perfect locale. For us old guys seeing and hearing Further achieving lift off brought tears to my eyes. I never thought I'd hear that music again. Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeros were a revelation and definitely deserve best in set award. High marks also to Amos Lee, The Temper Trap and The Devil Makes Three. KOL brought me to the Festival and they did not disappoint, great song selection. Finally, for those of us who have worked hard over the years and can afford it, the VIP package was really worthit.. will certainly do it all again next year.

Loved the composting and recycling and the fact that volunteers were making sure people actually placed items in the right place. I also loved the refillable water bottle stations. The music was good. There were only a couple acts I wanted to see on Sunday but it was still enjoyable all around. A good way to get your feet wet to the music festival scene. People were friendly and mellow. On the down side the porta potty situation was pretty awful by the end of the first day. Most stalls didnt have toilet paper, were filled and dirty. Seems like they underestimated the needs based on ticket sales.

Amazing! I was fortunate enough to go with someone who also enjoyed the lineup. Wow, there were a lot of people, and my friend and I had to rush to get to each stage, but it was certainly worth it. The only problem I was there wasn't enough time! I was frustrated with having to choose between Al Green and Edward Sharpe, I went with the ladder which was an excellent choice! I managed to see Al Green, for he is legend and it was a must! He was amazing, but the young and relatively rude crowd weren't as impressed with his iconic value. That did not stop me! I was dancing and screaming lyrics to "Love and Happiness." I wish that it had gone later. Most of the shows were in the day time, but when night fall came the lights and environment completely changed. We watched Empire of the Sun, which turned into one huge night dance party! So, hopefully next year the day will go later! The food was really good! It was reasonably priced and I was impressed with the amount of green options they had in terms of composting, organic, and healthiness! I was impressed with that and the green crew! Of course, there is no such thing as driving to the city considering all you will do is face crowds of wandering street people and horrid traffic. Taking MUNI there was not an issue, but coming back was a pain. It took about 30 minutes for us to get on a bus that wasn't full. But might I add that MUNI was on top of it, and they tried to send out as many buses as possible, but there were just SO many people. Overall, it was a fantastic day! I am definitely going next year, and am going to many other festivals alike! I hope everyone had the same amazing time as I did, because these events have to keep happening!

Outside Lands was fun this year. There were a lot of good acts, but there were WAY too many people, especially on Sunday. Drinks were WAY overpriced (didn't eat at all while there - so I don't know about food), they were serving wine in tiny little easy to spill cups, there were little covered up areas (not for the sun - but for the wind), transportation was ZERO after the concert, no ins and outs BUT line up was great, had a great time and I only wish to this event to become better and better

I LOVE SF - I LOVE THE PARK I LOVE THE LINE UP: variety and popularity But... Outside Lands still has some catching up to do with regard to the following: Sound - the wind impacts the sound causing fade ins & outs Food - towards the end of the night vendors were out of everything. I have been going to the Outside Lands Music Festival since it began three years ago. I travel from Virginia to visit a good friend and enjoy the great music, food and art the festival brings. This year, my favorites were: The Pimps of Joytime (good funk), Gogol Bordello (a band with members form around the globe), Bassnectar, Rebirth Brass Band, Syd Gris, Wolfmother, Beats Antique (Middle Eastern hip-hop), Nneka, Janelle Monae (a hint of a time from the past and great entertainer), Chromeo (the whole crowd was dancing), Nas & Damian Marley (this definitely drew the largest crowd of the weekend - you could not see where the crowd stopped), The Budos Band (lots of horns and a funky bass player) and Empire of the Sun (dance off!).

Though there where many unknown bands I've never heard of, I was pleasantly surprised to had enjoyed the majority of the music that was played this year. DJ Dan was just amazing! Pretty Lights was off the hook! Rebirth was just so freaking awesome. Missed Wolf Mother because of bad scheduling. They had Wolfmother and Beats antique playing at the same time. BAD!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOO Personally, Al Green really disappointed me with his half ass set. He kept cutting off songs, talked more then he sang, and sang other people's music rather then his own. What a waste of money. The scheduling must be handed over to some one with a bit more music knowledge because you can't have two awesome bands playing at the same time; Sunday August 15th 2010 Social distortion @ 6:55pm - 7:45pm & Nas & Damien "Jr. Gong" Marley 6:50pm-7:40pm. really bad planning on their behalf. I lost out because of their bad decision and planning, BOOOOOOO!!! Beside that, I loved everything else except for all the garbage people left behind. TERRIBLE!! I give it a 4 out of 5 due to Al Green & the bad scheduling.

Overall, I was able to see 5 acts without any overlaps (Pretty Lights, Gogol Bordello, Bassnectar, Wolfmother, and the Strokes). Each artist was absolutely brilliant and the crowd was amazing. Fighting was at a minimum, dancing was at a maximum. The Strokes as the headliner was the icing on the cake. Only caught these two acts, but compared to the first year (skipped last year) this event is much improved (though they need a better and cheaper beer selection). MMJ appears to have plateaued, but they still rocked the socks off the crowd. Furthur - in the old Dead tradition - was at times pretty loose, but played an eclectic setlist and at times (see deadheadland or other for details) was on fire...also rocking the socks off the appreciative crowd. That said, crowd was pretty tame for a "Dead" show...though it could have been the long day or the relative sobriety of the crowd. No cheers during "the bus came by..." or other typically anthemic-crowd enthusiasm inducing moments"...but they did dance their booties off for most of the show. Of course Bobby had to flub big time on an epic Terrapin, but the old coot was in pretty good form overall. Bathroom lines were...long, food and beverages were expensive....recycling was obvious ( a ++), security was not overbearing, but very present on the outskirts...parking was a big ? We parked at the beach and enjoyed the walk back, though we'd already been on our feet for 6 hours.

I went on Sunday- it was such a great day- almost all the bands I wanted to see were playing at separate times. We were able to go back and forth between the two far stages to see everyone we wanted- I think we ended up watching almost 9 full shows. The only problem I had was that Kings of Leon and Empire of the Sun were playing at the same time- so we had to leave the Kings show a little early to catch the end of Empire of the Sun.

Overall, Outside Lands 2010 was a highly enjoyable, albeit exhausting, experience. There was quite a diverse selection of bands in the line-up that would suit most people's taste. There was everything from DJs (Pretty Lights, Bassnectar and Chromeo) to an almost 60sR&B feel (Amos Lee and Mayer Hawthorne and the County) to indie (Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Dawes, The Temper Trap and Freelance Whales) and indeie pop (Tokyo Police Club) to underground hip hop (People Under the Stairs) to classics (Social Distortion, Al Green and Furthur) to rock (The Strokes, Kings of Leon, and Wolfmother) to reggae (Slightly Stoopid and Nas & Damian Marley) to the more eccentric sounds (Gogol Bordello). The food was significantly better than any other music festival I'd been to.There were also some interesting booths to provide entertainment during down time between bands. The sheer size of the venue had both good and bad aspects. There was no interference between bands playing at the same time, but moving between the two stages at opposite ends of the park was time consuming and by the end of the weekend, tiring. However, Golden Gate park is gorgeous and provides a nice venue. I was also a little bit put off by the overcast skies and mist, but that's just San Francisco. Transportation to and from the park was a bit haphazard as well, especially Sunday night. In the future, I hope they will organize this better, maybe model it after the Treasure Island transportation. For an outdoor venue, the sound was surprisingly good, well mixed. Hopefully they will add back the third day next year and bring back some people from the first two years.

The show was great again, excellent idea to consolidate to 2 days. The lineup was a little lacking this year, as opposed to the previous 2 years. It was also disappointing to see that a few of the stages had been dissolved, which contributed to the mass crowds at every show (not as many options). Overall, still a fantastic experience.

I orginally thought the lineup wasn't that great but after going, my opinion changed completely. Yes the lineup was a little but random but it fit together perfectly. I think most people would agree that The Strokes had the best performance, although Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros put on a really good show. Phoenix opened for Kings of Leon and did a fantastic job, Pretty Lights was insane, and all the bands at the smaller Panhandle stage, like Dawes, were amazing. To top it all off, some of my favorite bands played little "private" shows in some of the tents at the festival. The Devil Makes Three was absolutely incredible and getting to meet them was priceless. Outside Lands is great, I reccommend it to anyone.

At first I was wary when I saw how many people were there. Sound was not good for Temper Trap, unfortunately. But every band I saw after that had good sound. I appreciated the large amount of port-o-potties and food vendors. All lines were short and fast. The crowd was very well behaved, and good looking! :) If the line up next year looks good, I will return!!

Great venue to watch a lot of great bands. Golden Gate park is such a beautiful place to watch. My only grief is with the restroom facilities....I understand you have a great number of people to deal with, and adequate number of places were available, but you figure they'd take care of them better. First time seeing Cat Power. AWESOME! Kings of Leon, The Strokes, always putting on a great show!

The Strokes nailed it. Well, besides a drunken folly at the beginning of "Under Control". By far my favorite of the festival. Phoenix played a great set as well, lots of interaction from the vocalist. Kings of Leon played a conservative set, lots of Only by the Night, and Because of the Times, with very few of the dirty rockin' songs form their earlier albums. Some notables earlier in the days were Dawes, a great rock n roll band, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, a little hippy happniess to go with the festival vibe, and Gogol Bordello, a hugely enthusiastic performance! Golden Gate Park was kept pretty clean despite the some 80,000 present over the cours eof the two days and the crowds were friendly.

The lineup was great, the venue was beautiful, and my weekend was perfect. The weather was perfect on Sunday and super cold Saturday, but i loved it! The only thing I did not like was that people were throwing their trash on the ground where they stepped. I'm sure with a bit more staff who would be trash monitors the problem would be solved. I had an overall great experience ! I came last year, this year and I will definitely come next year. That is if the line-up continues to be genius...

The Outside Lands Festival in three years has become a total gift to the city of San Francisco. Though plenty of tourists come for the festival....locals should attend this every year. This year's abbreviated two-day session lacked the depth of talented bands of past years...but KINGS OF LEON did not disappoint on Sunday. PHOENIX who came on prior to the Kings, also rocked the place. The food choices at this festival are beyond compare at other shows. A variety of good local restaurants set up stands and cook fresh interesting choices of edibles. Porta-potties got a little gross but there were quite a few of them. Again...you sacrifice a little going to a festival event. KINGS OF LEON put on an outstanding showcase of their best songs....which those that came for the headliner...were hoping to hear. OUTSIDE LANDS -- we will be there next year and the next and the next and the next. This event is one of the best organized around.

Caught a little bit of Mayer Hawthorne; Temper Trap was AMAZING, plus I appreciated their new songs + the oldies but goodies, same with Kings of Leon who played all my favorites. Chromeo, cool. Janelle Monae TALENT. Phoenix was definitely a highlight!

Al Green and Social Distortion were totally worth it, however it just wasn't as good as last year. It was more condensed this year (probably b/c of the economy) but it made the experience different. Last year there were more areas to explore, thus more concessions, bathrooms, etc. I never saw any lines like the ones I saw this year. I'm only in my 20's but I felt like there was a younger crowd this year and that made a difference (a negative one). Kings of Leon were not good enough to headline this show. Better luck Next time (I hope)

Overall we had a fun time. Kings of Leon and Phoenix were great! Lots of fun vendors and giveaways. Enjoyed the wine tent. Only had to wait in a bathroom line once--the other times just walked right up. I was disappointed with the amount of trash. There weren't enough trash cans around and people didn't even attempt to throw their cups and plates away so by the end of Sunday the ground was too gross to sit down on.

Once again OSL was an awesome experience! The music, food, people, and setting are stellar. One down side this year though was there seemed to be a bit fewer bathroom facilities & they weren't maintained as well as in previous years. Other than that no complaints. Just go! You won't regret it.

The bands that I did see were great: Wolfmother, The Strokes, Al Green, Phoenix, and Social Distortion. The line up for the show in general was crap. Outside Lands has progressively gotten worst over the last 3 years. The bands have gotten progressively more 'unknown', it went from 3 days to 2 days, there was one less stage this year, it's a pain to get to because there's no public transit, and it's cold. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Made it down on Sunday for what had to have been the greatest show we've ever seen. Event was organized very well and everyone we met was cool and interesting. Plus, visitors got to see that the sun can actually shine in SF this foggy time of year. We are blessed to live in a place this beautiful and rich with culture.

Sunday was a beautiful day in the park. My friend and I arrived in the city, found parking and made our way into the event. Security was a breeze and we were inside in no time. Our first show was Nneka, who had a really nice set. Neither of us had heard of her before but enjoyed her performance. Next we left and set out for The Temper Trap. We sat in the back and laid out on our blankets, enjoying the afternoon sun as the fog burned off. The Temper Trap's hypnotizing tunes wrapped up and the stage cleared. With no preferable performace to go enjoy, we moved forward and stayed in the mainstages untill Al Green at 4. Although Al Green started his set 15 min late, he worked the audience, keeping us dancing and laughing the entire time:)!! We left early after an unfortunate run in with a very rude group of people who argued with us over who could stand where, very lame and imature.. Leaving the crowd behind we made our first pitstop at the bathrooms. The bathrooms were overflowing and completely trashed. For the size and length of this festival they NEEDED routine cleaning for these bad boys. After our stop we brushed through slightly stupid, stopping snapping a few photos, and then made our way across the festival to chromeo, who played such an energizing and crowd-pleasing show. As they lost control and got the people jumpin and screamin, a group of people far off ran and took down a huge section of fence near the back of the stage, creating even more insane madness. Chromeo took the winner as best show that night! We left right before the set ended to avoid the crowd and went to refil our water bottles and head back to the polo fields. We sat opposite the main stage on the hillsides near sutro and listened to pheonix blast us with their pop rock melodies. After we stayed near sutro and listened to social distortion for a few before heading off to nas and Damien. Arriving only 10 min into their set, we were met with a massive crowd at nas. The crowd was so thick and insane we could barely get past the windmills. The sound kept cutting out during their set, leaving most of the crowd either confused or disapointed. As their set ended and the people swarmed out to catch a glimps of kings of leon, we moved in and set up on the big hill over on the left side of the stage. From there our view of the stage and crowd was perfect. Empire of the sun began and we sat back and enjoyed their dramatic and insanely mindblowing set. Over all we enjoyed the music very much, thought most sets went very well, but only gave this 4/5 because of how messy the venue was the entire time and I never caught a glimps of a clean up crew! How gross those bathrooms were! And the disapointing run in with some people we obviously had never been to a festival in their lives. OutsideLands was a beautiful day of plenty of sunshine and really good music. This was my first year, yes I would go again next year, and definitely come early again. Thank you!

This was the most unforgettable music festival i've ever been to. The line up had a handful of very diverse bands which brought a great mix of attendees. Free music downloads, shuttle services to the front gate, CDs, buffs, bandanas, hand sanitizer, food samples, picture printouts and even a free oxygen bar were all available at the fest. Everyone was having a great time, smoking, drinking and just enjoying the live music. I'm definitely going to be attending next year. SEE YOU GUYS THEIR!!

The lineup was amazing, so I thought I'd give it a go... Who doesn't love San Francisco, right? When we got there I was slightly disappointed in the layout of the festival. First of all, the stages were too close together. Secondly, they sold way too many tickets to cram such a large number of people into such a small venue. The restrooms were slightly separated which was nice to not have to walk around the incredible long lines when trying to navigate the venue.

Outside Lands 2010 was an awesome time, because of the music, the people and the weather! The weather was great compared to other music festivals I've been to this summer. It was nice and cool out the entire weekend (although it did get chilly out at night). I loved the vast array of artists the festival had to offer, everybody from Bassnectar to My Morning Jacket. I have to say that my favorite 3 acts of the weekend were: 3.) Bassnectar 2.) Nas and Damien Marley 1.) Empire of the Sun. Empire of the sun wowed the crowd with their crazy stage set up and non stop music. It was a great time!!!

Super good show - lines were not too bad for food or bathrooms. Very nice sculptures in the middle of the Polo Field. Super good crowd of Deadheads. Will definitely go again if Further plays next year. Would have liked to hear an encore or two but rules are rules I guess. Tough part was getting out - no cabs and every bus was full. Lucky to find an open reataurant after a long walk and got the restaurant to call us a cab. Fabulous night overall.

So I give the 4star because I only attended Sunday's features. But it was fantastic!! there were so many people, a little crowded, but the crowd was the perfect type of people to listen with all day! Awesome lineup all day, and excellent ending with Kings of Leon. Definitely raving about this one.

I was stoked to see the Strokes, and Wolfmother was incredible--both bands in command of their instruments and the audience. But Gogol Bordello must be experienced live to be believed. Eugene Hutz is just plain crazy, and the rest of the band probably belong in an asylum as well. The Gypsy folk punk accordion with a fiddle had the entire audience shaking like a wet dog or a chilly very large amoeba. I will mos def be back for OL next year!

There were some great musical moments to be heard, but there were also some bleh moments. Found some good tunes, found some good food, found a shorter than average porto line, sound some good vino in the wine lands...found Chromeo...The time spent trying to find everything we needed was necessary I suppose, to keep us from finding an itchy boredom. It was alright. Had a good time.
