I first saw a Moodies concert in L.A. in 1969 or so and since then have seen them perform in DC and Biloxi and in Maryland 7 times. Think that's a lot? Met a guy at the recent Hayward concert who had seen them 34 times!! Had never seen Justin perform solo but was impressed by his 72+ year old voice. Someone shouted out, "You still got it old man!" Don't know if he heard that or not. So nice to see him in a small theater in New Orleans with another great guitarist (Mike Dawes) who opened the session solo for 20 minutes. He was great and along with a keyboardist were the only ones to accompany Justin. In addition to several new solo songs, he played a handful of Moodies classics (Question, Nights, etc.). Very enjoyable evening on a very rainy New Orleans night!

Stunning performance chock full of early tunes and Moody Blues favorites. The generous 16-tune setlist is inspired. So nice to hear several surprises. As enjoyable as Moody Blues shows have been over the years, Justin's solo excursions are a cut above. As the songwriter, he's able to include songs that have a special meaning for him; numbers that may not have previously been performed with the Moodies because of their personal nature. Justin's voice has mellowed with age. Where some high notes may now challenge, the upshot is that there is a renewed poignancy, and it's obvious that he is thoroughly enjoying the intimate venues, doing the shows his way. Genuinely hope he's a "regular" at The Birchmere for some time to come.

The venue was not pleasant. it was hot and uncomfortable...and we weren't even in the middle of any heat wave. AC didn't work properly and many were using paper to fan themselves. Other than that...always enjoy Justin's music

Don't hesitate to buy tickets if you are lucky enough to be in an area where Justin is performing. He does some new songs from his solo CD as well as some of the greatest Moodies hits - which sound amazing when he performs them acoustically.

What's not to like about a solo show by Justin Hayward? Justin's virtuosity as a master songwriter was showcased beautifully with the help of some very able back-up musicians and singers: Mike Dawes on guitar, Alan Hewitt on keyboards and vocals, and Julie Ragins on percussion and vocals. The setlist spanned over forty years of Justin's career and included songs from solo albums as well as hits he has written for the Moody Blues. The highlight of the evening for me was his performance of "Forever Autumn" from Jeff Wayne's rock opus "War of the Worlds" - a song not penned by Hayward but one which he has definitely made his own. Hayward delighted fans with stories about his songs and with gentle humour throughout the evening. He's a totally different character at his solo shows than he is with the Moodies. My only criticism is that he does not do more solo shows. Poor planning on my part that I am only seeing one of his solo shows this tour. One show was definitely not enough!!

Justin Hayward and his fellow musicians for this tour: Mike Dawes on guitar, Julie Ragins on keyboard, percussion and backup vocals, and Alan Hewitt on keyboards and backup vocals gave a wonderful performance Saturday evening. The set list included some of his most famous songs which he regularly performs with The Moody Blues as well as five songs from his new CD titled Spirits of the Western Sky. Justin also gave us some insight into the inspirations for songs, and some great historical info on his own life and his life as it continues with The Moody Blues. Great concert, sold out, as usual.

I have seen the Moody Blues many times but I had never had a chance to see Mr. Hayward solo before and I was looking forward to the chance to do so and I was not disappointed. The show started with Justin coming out to introduce ,Mike Dawes, one of his band mates on this tour to do a solo set - He is one of the more original guitar players I have ever seen - up and down the frets and using the body of the guitar as a percussion instrument he was quite amazing. Then Justin comes out with him and two other keyboard/vocalist to do a very complete mix of solo and Moodies songs including many that are seldom if ever done by the band while in between songs he told stories and gave background to the music he's made that fit the intimate setting more then it would in an electric concert format. If you're a fan go - if you're not go anyway - you'll be one before you leave.

Excellent concert with Justin showcasing he talent on multiple acoustic guitars. His vocals are as strong now as they were 4o years ago. Excellent songs selection and his backup band added nicely to the mix. Would strongly recommend the show to anyone who appreciates good music and a truly lovely person. I hope he adds some more solo shows so I am able to see him again. I only hope he will change up the setlist a little bit and play some different material especially more solo material in the future. He has such a wealth of amazing material to draw from.

A rare and intimate evening with Justin Hayward and with his amazing guest, Mike Dawes! Justin proves again and again that he can still write the loveliest of songs and then deliver them with a voice that is so honest and emotive and as smooth and elegant as liquid silver! It was a magical evening. One that I wish I could re-live again and again! Mike Dawes is accompanying Justin on this tour, as well as performing an opening show. Simply, an incredibly gifted young guitarist - and delightfully entertaining and funny, as well! Thank you for introducing Mike to us, Justin, and thanks to you all (including Julie and Alan) for a wonderful evening I will long remember!

I am pre-disposed to love the MB's and therefore Justin, but it was a rare event to hear him play his soul instruments, the various acoustic guitars. His voice is stronger and more angelic than ever; that he told us a bit about his journey brought warmth as if he was playing in my living room. Somerville Theater was most wonderful; a little tight for the old knees in the balcony. Didn't see handicapped access, you must have had it; good that i chose not to bring the 87 year old mother-in-law who loves Justin/MB's as much as the rest of us.

We knew it would be a good concert because Justin Hayward is a multi-talented man but he blew us away with this show. With an array of old favorites and new singles his songwriting was beautiful and his voice is still co clear and pure. Everyone at this concert was so entertained that you could not just clap and remain seated-you had to stand and cheer! This show really showcased Justin's individual talents and not just as a lead vocalist in The Moody Blues. Can't wait to see him again!

I have been a fan of Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues for many years, but this was my first opportunity to see him perform in a live event, and it was a wonderful evening. He mixed old favorites with a number of newer songs which were not as familiar, and it was a good combination. This is a very special artist whose musical style does not easily fit into most of the categories for popular music: The melodies are gentle and captivating, and the lyrics are truly poetic; I also greatly appreciate the fact that, unlike so many popular musicians, Justin Hayward does not need to blast our ears with overly loud music. I also enjoyed his comments between songs, for example, explaining the events or circumstances which prompted him to write certain songs. This made those songs all that much more meaningful to me. Thank you so much, Justin Hayward!

Justin put on a delightfully intimate acoustic show, no bass or drums, just two guitars and two keyboardists. In addition to his latest solo album he was promoting the other guitarist, whose name I've unfortunately forgotten. The kid's opening set was fantastic; he's a phenomenal player who doesn't sing.

We saw Justin Hayward at the Somerville Theater in Somerville, MA. The intimate setting was perfect. Justin was very relaxed and truly enjoying himself. The interaction with the audience was great. We have seen the Moody Blues many times but we enjoyed this much more. He played songs from the Moody Blues as well as some of his solo songs. I never realized that Justin had such as sense of humor. He always seems so serious and sometimes mad when he's playing with the Mody Blues. We all loved every minute of it.

I've been listening to, and going to see, Justin since 1971, but always with the Moody Blues. It was a great pleasure to see him doing his own thing in a more intimate venue. Less was definitely more in this case. "Your Wildest Dreams" was the best I ever heard it. The other songs were lovely in the scaled down, more acoustic show. There were electronic keyboards but they didn't overpower. The songs from Justin's newest "Spirits of the Western Sky" are better live. Justin brought them alive with his own spirit and I have a better appreciation for the songs. Justin seems more open and relaxed in this type of setting. The guitar work was stellar, and highlighted the show. Which brings me to the happiest surprise of the evening: Justin's collaboration with Mike Dawes, a simply brilliant young guitarist - the best I personally have ever seen. In my mind he stole the show. I've never seen anything like him. I was awestruck! All in all it was the most enjoyable concert I've seen in years!

Justin Hayward is a good man, a good person. He has reached a certain personal maturity that is conveyed in his performance. He is a positive, uplifting, inspiring and healing musician to experience. One might say that he possesses a certain type of grace that allows his music to penetrate our very beings, and in doing so that grace blesses us for the rest of our lives. "Nights in White Satin" is the most beautiful love song ever written. Hearing "Questions" is always pleasing (to see how old the understanding of the evils of greed is in the context of recent Western culture). Wherever Justin Hayward goes he bears gifts. He is an example of humanity at its best.

Having seen the Moody Blues many times I was not sure what to expect with Justin Hayward doing a solo tour. It was so nice to hear him speak in between songs, I now have a whole new insight into his music. It was one of those magical performances I will never forget. He sang some songs I always wanted to hear him sing live for years. Of course when he performs with the Moody Blues there are the standards they have to do. With just three performers on stage, the performance was much more unplugged and produced a softer and more beautiful side to the music. I hope Justin Hayward continues to write and perform, he gives his fans his heart and soul every time he stands up on stage.

Mr.Hayward was so very good. His 50+ years of creating lyrics and melodies is unsurpassed. His stage presence and musicianship were all I expected and more. DO go spend a most incredible 2 hours in the company of this man, while he plies his craft of telling stories of his life in a most entertaining and enlightening British way. His and the Moodys music is timeless and priceless. Just an awesome time listening to him and his two companions(rhythm guitar/keyboards)play. And his new songs(new album..The Western Sky) were just as good as his older tunes. Thanks Mr Hayward for stopping in New Orleans. A performance that will be remembered and revered!!

I've loved the Moody Blues and Justin Hayward's music most of my life. I've seen a few Moody Blues shows but always wanted to see Justin solo. What I saw was a very uninspired show. The song selection was decent and Justin had stories to tell which was fine, but he rarely ever engaged eye contact with the audience. I just felt like he didn't give a care and was just performing for the money and not the love of the music and the fans. If it was a twenty dollar show well then okay, but the ticket prices were crazy. I really doubt I'll attend another concert from ANYONE after this :(

We wanted to see Mike Dawes, and him being with Justin Hayward was a win/win. What we didn't know is that Mike Dawes plays with Justin, during Justin's part of the concert. Mike only played 4 songs at the open, but that was OK. Justin played most of his big hits, although starting out it was a little slow, but it picked up. The quality of the music was very good, and the theatre (first time there) was not bad at all. Unfortunately, even tho the staff tried to keep the cell phones down, there were too many people using them, texting, looking at their screens, and taking pictures and videos. One lout had his phone up, recording, and I was watching Justin through his phone's screen - terrible, rude, sickening. Ban them in a concert hall.

I have seen this tour lineup for the third time. This concert was the best. Justin sang very intimate and beautiful songs. Great venue, like being in a large nightclub, not a concert hall, so the intimacy was enhanced. I could go on for days about this show, but let's keep it simple: if you have a chance to see Justin Hayward, either solo or with the Moodies, you must go. He's a remarkable musician, one of the all-time greats. A gifted composer, guitarist and singer - and let's be frank, not half-bad looking either. :) He's accompanied on this acoustic tour by two young musicians, also very skilled in their craft. Julie Ragins (sp?) handles keyboard duties ably and her voice is a wonderful accompaniment to Justin. Mike Dawes is a remarkable guitarist who is worth seeing in his own right. Mr. Hayward is 70 years old now, but his voice is virtually unchanged. It's impressive to see him with the Moodies (he can still shred on electric guitar) but I think I prefer this more intimate setting. The songs are a bit stripped-down and there's no hiding. It's just pure musicianship and beauty. Love J's talking and joking with the audience too.

This was second time I saw his solo tour. Justin is a great song writer, performer, and a recreator of many wonderful memories thru his music. I have been a fan of his and the Moody's since the early 70's. Always a wonderful enjoyable evening, and will never get tired of hearing him. It is remarkable how he, a keyboard player and a truley remarkable guitarist in Mike Dauws can fill an auditorium with music generally played by a huge band in the Moody Blues. However, this being the second time, on his solo act, it was a bit stale. Show very similar to one 1.5 years age. Other than a few songs ,it was essentually the same. It lacked imagination and the presentation was very predictable even his commentary. It was an enjoyable evening, but not memorable. I do not know think I would see this show again, but will always attend any Moody's concert I can get to. I would rather hear and see the full version of the songs, and the excitement of the event rather than Justin's toned down abbreviated version. Don't get me wrong, Justin is, and always has been a remarkable songwriter and performer. A creator of songs that will always pass the test of time. I hope the Moody's band as a whole will reunite and truly give us again a spectacular memorable musical event.

This was an excellent concert. Justin Hayward, the great voice of most of the Moody Blues songs, was in fine form, and sounded good. I was surprised that he was not performing with a full band. There was a guitarist, and there was a keyboard player who also did backup vocals and mellotron sounds. They were both good players. But without bass and drums, the full force of the old songs was a bit diminished. Still it was a fine sound and a great concert.

This was my first Justin Hayward solo tour ever. I've seen him many times with the Moody Blues. I was just awe-struck with that massive wall of sound that came from that stage he shared with Julie Ragins and Mike Dawes. This was primarily an acoustic show and the song selection fit the evening perfectly. I recommend attending a show with Justin whenever you get a chance. Julie Ragins is also a fantastic artist in her own right with several recorded albums. She is multi-talented performer with guitar, keyboard and sax. While there were only three artists on stage, the sound would have suggested a much larger group. The opening act was a nice pairing for the main event and was thoroughly enjoyed. Michael Dawes had a nice rapport with the audience and he was very enjoyable. Justin Hayward was very good and treated the audience to many of the staples from the Moody Blues catalogue while interspersing anecdotes about many of the various songs. I. personally, find that this enhances the enjoyment to that music. This music segued seamlessly with his solo music like a "breeze". The keyboardist (sorry I did not catch her name) was also very good. Would I go see this concert again, probably. Would I see the Moody Blues in toto, definitely!

Accompanied by only another guitarist (Mike Dawes) and a keyboardist (Julie Ragins), the songs played were all much closer to how they were originally conceived rather than their more familiar studio versions with a variety of other supporting instruments adding to the sound. Songs played included his requisite numbers from the Moody Blues (Nights, Tuesday Afternoon, Question, In Your Wildest Dreams) as well as many from his latest CD, Spirits of the Western Sky. Only 1 other song (One Lonely Room, from the album Songwriter) from all his other solo works was included in addition to Forever Autumn from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. While Justin played for about 2 hours, it would have been great if he had included some songs from his other solo albums... but you just can't expect a longer concert, classic Moody Blues songs dropped, or less promotion of his current release. While I have attended about 15 Moody Blues concerts over the years, this is the first time I have ever seen Justin Hayward solo. He didn't disappoint - it was a wonderful evening.

Although I came prepared to enjoy the performance, I was certainly not prepared for the truly magical and inspired performance, of Justin Hayward and also of his remarkably talented guitarist, Mike Dawes, during which I was nothing short of enthralled! So moved was I that tears of cathartic joy and of mystical wonder streamed down my face. As this magnificent experience was shared by fellow aficionados, the thrill was geometrically enhanced and amplified! During the intermission I quickly scampered to the table in the lobby so that I could purchase the "What just happened" cd of Mike Dawes as well as the "Spirits Live" of Justin Hayward. I was, throughout, transported to celestial heights and thrilled to the marrow of my bones!

I've been a Moody Blues fan since the band formed, and have seen them perform a dozen times. I had the pleasure of seeing Justin Hayward last fall in St. Louis where he introduced Mike Dawes. What a great show that one was. Sunday night, 9/13/15 brought them to Kansas City's Uptown Theatre - and neither disappointed. Justin's voice is still strong and heavenly, evoking so many emotions in me. Two hours isn't enough to take it all in... Thank you Justin for gracing us with your presence and love of music once again.

Excellent show, excellent venue (as always), a great evening, one I would like to repeat... Justin is so impressive, his presence, his stagemanship, his magnificent voice has only become more beautiful over the years, and his songs are genuine treasures. Yes, even the new ones. A rare and cherished privilege to spend the evening with a man who continues to deliver and inspire. He was generous and I really loved the way he opened up to the audience about his life and times with dignity and humor. Mike Dawes (a fabulous guitarist who is also the opening act and really worth hearing) and Julie Ragins make up his touring ensemble, and they are each outstanding. All the rest is Justin and his guitar. Even if you are not the biggest Moodies fan, I think you'll enjoy this show. Maybe even love it. I did. Highly recommended.

For the first time, I had a front row seat at this event, and Justin Hayward was absolutely amazing! His music touches your heart and soul. I was impressed with the great sound provided at this venue. . . Justin's voice was truly clear and beautiful! Also, the instrumentation was awesome . . . thanks to the sound engineer, and the great acoustics of the hall! I highly recommend this event to anyone. Justin Hayward is a world class artist, and was accompanied by two awesome musicians, as well! Go see them!!

Never before, at least in my opinion, has there been any artist who can exude such emotion in song as to pour it right into our hearts, in the moment, as Justin Hayward! (You get a good mix of his newer songs plus some old Moody Blues tunes.) And even with his years of experience as a world-wide performer, we were able to get a very intimate experience with him through great old stories told between songs, warm direct eye contact, loving appreciate gestures--no fat ego here at all. And the two excellent musicians he brings with him--Mike Dawes (amazing guitar virtuoso) and Julie Ragins (who adds beautiful vocal harmonies and Moody-Blues-like keyboard sound to the mix)--are the perfect pair to mesh with Justin's style! This is one evening I'll never forget!

The Justin Hayward concert was fabulous. To see a legendary singer, song-writer, musician perform a mix of Moody Blues and his solos songs in an intimate concert at The Concert Hall @NYC was nothing less than amazing. Justin looked great and sounded even better. Mike Dawes was awesome and Julie Ragins background vocals and keyboard blended perfectly with the two guitars. it was a very memorable evening. I hope Justin returns next year. Kevin J of Kvohnmusic.com

Words are inadequate to describe the brilliant performance by Justin! His guitarist, Mike Dawes, was fantastic too! The venue was intimate! Perfect! Justin's voice was soooooooooo beautiful! Actually sounded better live than his latest CD, which is five stars! Hard to believe he wrote Nights at 19 years old! The Moody Blues should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

I had been trying for years to see Justin and the Moodies, but stuff got in the way (like the last ticket being given to the soldier in line before me at the USO office). This was way beyond my expectations. Justin was fabulous! Mike Dawes was incredible! I can't remember the girl's name who was on keyboards, but she was also fantastic! It was an enjoyable evening and well worth the price of the ticket.

I had long anticipated the performance by Justin Hayward at the Carolina Theatre. Small venue. Intimate setting. Maybe he would play some of his songs from the early Moody Blues recordings. And I would be taking the girl - the lost love - that I would think about when listening to his music, beginning some forty years ago. And I had booked early and had snagged seats in the orchestra pit. The stage was set for a memorable evening. Wow! This show completely exceeded all expectations. It was as if we experienced a live Moodys performance in my living room. His choice of set list, the accompanying musicians, his incredible voice and musicianship, the high quality of the CT sound system all added up to the most memorable - and moving - concert experience I've ever enjoyed - and I've been to hundreds.

No one crafts a melody, pens the lyrics, or performs the compositions with as much integrity and emotion as Justin Hayward. He invests heart and soul into each of his performances. The Spirits solo tours are exceptional, something we are accustomed to, but it's the complement the charming intimate venues lend to the magic of the moment. The Carolina Theatre is a mellow yellow gem of an acoustical hall with dusty blue architectural embellishments that frame the cozy stage. Its ambience is warm and magnetic. The same can be said about the set list for the tour opener in Durham. The songs weave their way around your heartstrings to envelop and enthrall. Simply top-notch musicianship and alchemy sustained from Tuesday Afternoon to the I Know You're Out There Somewhere closer. Every nuance shines. Justin Hayward at 68 has never been better. And live? ... Well, the best CD, vinyl, or MP3 doesn't come close to the unmatched pleasure of experiencing the evocative moment in real time from the second row. Don't miss the solo tour and get the best ticket you can. Special evenings like these are rare.

I'm a very biased reviewer when it comes to this man. I saw the Moody Blues for the first time at the Fillmore East in NYC in 1969. They blew me away, especially Justin's angelic voice. Fortunately for me (and so many others) they've always enjoyed touring and playing live. So except for the years between 1973 and 1978, I've been lucky enough to have seen them fairly regularly for 45 years now. Justin doesn't tour solo that often and is a bit different. He seems perhaps a bit more relaxed. Needless to say, he's still in fine voice. He's also a very under rated guitar player in my humble opinion. The two who supported him: Mike Dawes (an excellent guitarist) and Julie Ragins (a great keyboardist and singer, who also tours with the Moody Blues) complimented him nicely. My Wife, who's not nearly as big a fan as I am admitted that the show was marvelous and that Justin looked and sounded great!

Even with the scaled down backings (Julie and Mike) Justin's sound was mesmerizing. Unfortunately casino shows require shortened version of planned songs with several cut. However Justin made the most of every moment and has forever fulfilled my wishes by including "I Dreamed Last Night". The man is enduring.

It was great to see the legendary JUSTIN HAYWARD, lead singer of the MOODY BLUES, solo at the Birchmere. He was excellent! The backup band was ok, but not the level of the legendary MOODY BLUES, of course. The only thing that I didn't like was that after the show there was a signing. It would have been ok to have all four do a signing. It would have been ok to have just JUSTIN doing a signing. Instead, they had the three people from the backup band do a signing, WITHOUT JUSTIN ! This is just wrong. They didn't have the common sense to cancel the signing in this case.

As I have been an ardent fan of the Moody Blues, I particularly have always had a fondness for the music of Justin Hayward. His concert at the Somerville Theatre proved the man can still perform with utmost flawlessness. He sang a collection of Moody's songs as well as several wonderful songs from his new album. His voice was clear and commanding. The band consisted of Justin and three other talented musicians. The music intertwined amazingly. The venue was small, which enabled the concert to have a relaxed and truly enjoyable feel. I am hoping Justin will continue his solo tour, so I may have the opportunity to witness this incredible man and his superb performance again.

Justin Hayward was absolutely fantastic. His combination of Moody Blues songs and his original solo catalogue were a great mix and he did not disappoint. As soon as he opened his mouth I was in awe of his great iconic voice. What a great place the Orpheum theater is as well. We were in the 6th row about 30 feet away and when he sang Nights in White Satin with his three piece band it was truly chilling. But he had some great surprises like Watching and Waiting and Never Comes the Day which were performed flawlessly. I've been singing for three days now and can't get this show out of my head. I was also thinking "I hope I look like that when I'm 71". Thank you Justin Hayward.

My wife and I have followed Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues, attending many of their concerts all over the New Orleans area since the early 1970's. We eagerly looked forward to seeing Justin Hayward as a solo act for the first time ---- and he did not disappoint! Venue was ideal: the historical Orpheum Theatre, recently revived from the flood ravages of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The average 60 something crowd was small but enthusiastic in the accoustically friendly confines. Justin first appeared at 8pm sharp to introduce his opening guitarist act, then for the main event at 8;45 with both the sidekick young talented fellow male guitarist and female keyboard/harmony specialist, opening with "Tuesday Afternoon" from 1967's Moody Blues Days of Future Passed. For the next approx. hour and a half he gave us what we expected: a delightful blend, in an intimate atmosphere up close, of his solo choices intermingled with Moody Blues classics, including "Lovely To See You Again My Friend" from 3rd album On the Threshold of a Dream; "Watching and Waiting" from 4th album To Our Children's Children's Children; "Never Comes the Day", also from On the Threshold of a Dream; "Your Wildest Dreams" from 1986 album The Other Side of Life; "Question" from 5th album A Question of Balance; "Nights in White Satin" from Days of Future Past; and closing with encore of "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" from 1988's Sur La Mer. (Note: "The Magnificent Moodies" was released in 1965, before Hayward joined the band)

Justin put on a excellent show which now includes his new song Wind of Heaven from an up coming movie. That song alone is worth the price of admission. My only issue is the set is always the same and for us who drive and go to many shows we want to hear some variety. Simple suggestion: when he does his solo acoustic song in the middle of the set do a different song. Like drop The Eastern Sun and do a different song. That variety would really create a buzz as the fans would never know what to expect. Such a tremendous catalog to chose from. Otherwise a truly gifted singer and songwriter not to be missed.

Wow! What a show! I was lucky enough to have purchased front row seats. I have never sat in the front row of a concert before. To be that close and to see Justin Hayward live and actually seeing him playing his guitar live was mind blowing! Mike Dawes and Julie Ragins were both excellent, too! These musicians are very talented and with the words written by Justin Hayward this all made a magical night! To top it off, at the end of the concert Justin walked over to me and held his guitar out neck first so I could take the pick he had just played with from the neck of the guitar! That topped my concert going career! I would go and see this concert again and again! I can't believe I could not find one review about the show here in Kansas City! That is a bit disappointing. This showed deserved recognition! Thank you Justin Hayward, Mike Dawes and Julie Ragins! One happy fan!

We absolutely love Justin Hayward; he is such a gentleman and extremely charming. His tour did not visit Texas, so we visited Kansas City to see him. We have watched his Spirits of the Western Sky DVD several times, so we knew we would not be disappointed. He performed several of our favorites, and Mike Dawes and Julie Ragins added so much to his music. His voice was perfect Sunday night, the sound in the theater was just the right volume, and the audience was not too rowdy, although there were some fans who yelled out occasionally when it would have been more courteous to be quiet and let the fans enjoy the moment. We appreciated the padded seats, but it was very cold in the theater (better than too hot, though). We splurged on the tickets, but it was so totally worth it and we would do it again in a heartbeat!!

Justin's concert was pure magic. First, he comes out and introduces Michael Dawes, who proceeds to blow every one away with his incredible guitar playing, picking and guitar percussion. After a short break, the Man comes out himself and dives in to some of his older Moodies stuff, interspersed with anecdotes about his life and experiences. Then he goes into his solo material (Spirits) and it becomes even more magical. With my wife we were literally brought to tears with Eastern Sun and Western Sky. This was a concert we'll never forget! We've seen the Moodies several times but Justin with Michael as rythym was just incredible. Do not pass up a moment to see a truly wonderful artist that clearly loves what he does.

This concert was great and Justin did his normal stupendous job on guitar and vocals. He played straight through with no breaks and told a number of personal and Moody stories between songs which were very interesting. Sound was very good for such a relatively small venue and very enjoyable. Aduilt beverages were available before and during short intermissions between opening act and main concert which was ideal.
