Always an amazing event. Even if they don t win, you still get your money s worth. I recommend sitting near the penalty boxes, as some fans get really hilarious yelling at the opposing team.

From the 'Chuck a Puck' promotion to hugs with Salty and Hat Trick, our evening at The Scope watching The Admirals was a huge success. The sightlines at The Legendary Scope are ideal for hockey . Food selection , comfortable seats , helpful staff and exciting hockey all made for a wonderful night out for my wife and I .

This event was a great exerience I took my 12 year old who is hockey crazy it was his first game ever and he was absolutely blown away. Great Father a d son experience. Although this was the last game we will definatly go next season.

The Admirals won their game against the Albany River Rats in Sudden-Death Overtime. This was the first game that I attended since 1992 and the exciteent of being there live was as fresh as the first game that I attended. My nephew thought the same as this was his first game he attended.

Great entertainment for my two children and myself. The action was fast and furious and even during the intermissions my children were entertained. We actually got to meet three players who autographed both of the kids jerseys. Everyone was very nice to us and especially kind to my kids. The final score was 4-3 and an Admirals win in the last minute of overtime. This was the first game my 10 year old daughter went to and she really wants to go again, and we will soon.

I have always enjoyed going to Admirals games over the years, but with two young girls I am starting a family tradition of going to as many home games as we can. Its a fun night out. I park in the McArthur Center Mall North Parking lot which is just a couple blocks away from the Scope and we window shop and eat there and then walk to the game. It is always a fun night win or lose!

Seats so good we could smell the sweat. Awesome atmosphere, crazy locals and intense hockey. Hailing from MN, I find it hard to find a good hockey game and the Admirals and River Rats did not disapoint.

Scope is a nice place to see hockey games, every seat has a great view! The only downside is parking. The under ground garage fills fast and parking across the street costs $5-$7, so checking out side streets for free parking is a must. As usual my friends and I had a blast and now I am excited to get hockey season started!!

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Norfolk Admirals mixed up their rosters and played each other. Even the big stars were there like Lecavalier and St. Louis though they only played one period. Victor Hedman was amazing, I expect great things from him this year! It was very cool even though it was only preseason, and I would really like to go to another game, especially when they play my Hershey Bears!

I never watched hockey until my husband, who is in the U.S. Navy, surprised our family with Lightning tickets while on vacation in Disneyworld. We drove to Tampa and I fell in love with the game instantly! My husband and daughter have Tampa Bay Lightning jerseys and I have a shirt with their logo on it (they didn't have any female jerseys in my size and color at the time). We will purchase season tickets. My husband will miss the game(s) dearly when he goes out to sea.

Given the play of the last few seasons, it was nice to see the Lightning come to Norfolk and show some interest in the area. It was great to see LeCavalier in an Admirals jersey during the game even if he only played for a little while. The game was good given the obvious restrictions for an exhibition game of this type.

The AHL Admirals that were once the pride of Norfolk have been sold. We have a new team that is now playing for the ECHL, a level below the AHL. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the Admirals I grew up knowing played in the ECHL, however, the price of the seats are a little bit too much. If we're not going to have the same level of playing as the AHL team, we shouldn't be paying AHL prices. This is just my two cents.

Not knowing what to expect. I actually was pleasantly surprised. Parking was easy and the price was reasonable. Getting into the Scope was also easy. Very friendly and helpful ushers directed me to my seat. My seat was close but very obstructed. A good thing the City of Norfolk invested in the overhead video board, because it was really the only way I could follow the game. The seat was fairly comfortable. I didn't buy anything to eat or drink, so I can't comment on concession prices. But from what I saw they offer a nice variety. The game started at 7:30 and was over just after 10. I will definitely be attending another game in the near future.

2 adults with 2 kids (11yo & 12 yo girls). We had a great time. True good hockey action. Overtime game that went to a shootout. Ya can't beat that. Great food and treats offered. Try the BBQ/Brisket stand. Awesome. Note: If you are a normal family with kids. This venue serves huge tallboy cans of beer. You mix that with an average redneck that goes to ECHL games...and let's say you get what you get. Lots of drunk idiots screaming profanity. So be ready for it. Our seats were in section 102 - Row A. Avoid this area. Very poor view to start with. Then add to that the makeshift seating section located in front of this section (a bunch of unmarked folding chairs) is very distracting and unorganized, with people standing up to shift seats, because they were all in the wrong seats and had to move when the actual ticketholder showed up. Luckily, the arena had enough empty seats for us to move up. It's best to sit up a little higher (row D and above) to get a good view.

This is a nice venue with nice people working there. The area is a bit dodgy, but there is parking right across the street. I got a seat all to itself along the side rail, real nice and could stretch my feet out. Overall...good.

Great game lots of action. Will keep going. Love the admirals. The view /sound was great but no I wouldn't get those seats again. The seats were against the gate and the size of the seats are made for a child or adult petite size model.

Great price for great seats only 4 rows off the ice however recommend that sit higher as at the Scope the Officials (Scorer, Announcer and Penalty boxes) block view when near the ice. Easy access to Scope using Norfolk Light Rail System (Tide). 3rd period: Numerous fights due to home teams' frustrations and 6-0 defecit added fuel to the fire. One point there were a total of 7 players in the penalty taking up residence.

Great time! Some fighting between players, might be a bit much for young kids. Only bad seats were the two we purchased on this site. Seats right behind the opposing team's spare sticks. Not knowing the arena, did not get the "partially obstructed view" until they were purchased

First off there is literally not a bad seat in the scope. It is a fun family event with tons of competitive spirit. Unlike most sporting events the two Admirals mascots are in the stands through out and more than happy to say hi and take photos or hugs with any children. There is also clowns for face painting and balloon animals. I take my 3 year old to the games all the time and she has a blast while dad watches hockey.

First off I was amazed with the price for the tickets, my friend who had accompanied me to the game had never been to a hockey game, we had amazing seats for a first time experience, pinned between the rival team's stand and adamant admirals fans in the row directly behind us. Great overall experience, however, the price of an angry orchard and a bud light, was terrifying. However that was to be expected at a sports venue I am sure. We had a good time, talked a fair amount of trash with the other fans, and realistically enjoyed the whole game. Overall, I wish the admirals would be staying so that I could enjoy this adventure again, but alas all good things come to an end. I would recommend this to any admiring hockey fans, especially if its truly their last season here.

For a last place te relocating to the west coast they played really well in regulation.51 shots is nothing to laugh at. Gagne kept them in the mix and only a lucky shot put them into overtime and the evential loss.

We were able to get upfront seats, next to the penalty box, for the game, but being a little father back may have even been better. It was a fun experience with a great atmosphere. We will definitely look into going again in the future.

My husband and I really enjoy going to see the Admirals. The tickets are very affordable, the games are exciting and the arena is very nice. Last time we went to a game we got to see some old NHL players playing in the AHL now, and the game went into overtime, very thrilling!

An amazing experience! The wife and I just moved to virginia beach after spending 3 years overseas (Sucks, I know) but not so fast! We get to watch the admirals for the next 3 years! The game was great, the staff was friendly and helpful and it was definitely worth the 30$ spent on each ticket. We will definitely do this again!

Being huge Sharks (hockey) fans and living on the East Coast, we don't get to see them much, so for my 28th birthday and the lock-out looming, my wonderful husband bought us tickets to tonight's Norfok Admirals/Worcester Sharks game. Right next to the Sharks tunnel, it was a heart breaking loss, but amazing to be sooo close to the guys. The best part was when Alex Stalock & Danny Groulx signed a puck thanking us for our support and had a trainer pass it to us. After the game we got to meet Alex and thank him, and he was such a humble, great guy! Thanks for the memories! Such a great Birthday!!!!!!!!

I have not seen a display of such skill and teamwork in all my years of watching Sub NHL Hockey. The Admirals showed an unshelfishness that one rarely sees in sports. The passing and willingness to give up the puck to another who may be in a better position to score was very special to watch. I have been a Hockey Fan since the early 60s and I have seen the best play. Howe, Gretsky, Mario and many more. This group is special and I would tell anyone that if you want to see Hockey played the way it should be played then get a ticket and enjoy the Admirals.

The game was excellent. I had one problem when my son and I got there. There were people sitting in our seats and it seems to me that that shouldn't be able to happen considering the section we were in. Those same people had to move again once the people behind us claimed their seats. The ushers who advise us where our seats are need to more conscious of that. It seems as if they must have known these people and just allowed them to sit in seats that they didn't pay for. That sends a horrible message to those who actually do the right thing. Please address this!!!

Took the Mrs. to her first hockey game! Had a great time, sat right behind the penalty box which provided a pretty good, up close view of the action. It was "Scout Night" at the arena so the kids were pumped up, yet well-behaved as good scouts would be!

The Norfolk Admirals at the Scope provided a great evening for my wife and I when we had guests in town. While the parking at the Scope was too quickly filled, you can park nearby at the MacArthur Mall and walk to the arena. Inside, the fans were enthusiastic and activities were family friendly.

Overall, the event was fine. We had a good view of the game and enjoyed it. However, I purchased tickets in the "Family Section" because it was advertised as "No alcohol, no swearing" and I was bringing my children. Well, the "no alcohol" policy was not enforced and a fight between fans broke out. That is just what I was trying to avoid with the so-called family section. I was very disappointed the venue was not more careful about enforcing their policies.

The seats were way too close to the ice - could not see the game - could not see the ice - had to watch everything on the jumbotron - left the seats we paid for and moved up an entire section in order to watch the play - the admirals are really struggling this year but it was still a good game of hockey

It was a fun minor league hockey game. They do a good job at the Norfolk Scope. The arena does not have a lot of signage, so if you don't know your way around, it's very hard to get to and find parking. We took several wrong turns because of traffic, and blocked streets we didn't know about. The Norfolk Scope's website is not helpful at all for parking.

I bought tickets (section 2, row D, seats 9-13) for my family as a Christmas present. They were supposed to be "best available" at $23 per ticket. We were excited until we got to our seats. The coaches and trainers stood up the whole match, blocking our view. We were unable to see one of the goals due to hockey sticks stacked up in the corner of the players' box. I emailed the director of ticketing about this but never got a response. Very Disappointing. Could have had a better time and seen more with cheaper tickets.

I attended the Hampton Roads Admirals game with my 13 yr old son and two of his buddies. As lifelong hockey fans, we were looking forward to watching some good hpocket for a moderate price. Instead, the ice looked more like Rock'em Sock'em robots, with fights breaking out constantly. To make matters worse, whenever the Admirals scored, the hometown crowd would break into a cheer that ended with shouting "you suck!" to the other team. As the game went on, Admirals fans began shouting similar things to individual players. This continual display of poor sportsmanship by the players and the fans was anything but good quality hockey. It is one thing to let emotions run high, it is another thing entirely to have the fan base's primary objectives to be demeaning the other team rather than defeating them. Next time I will spend the money and go to a pro game.

The Norfolk Scope is a fairly nice arena for holding a hockey game. Unfortunately there was a really old drunk guy that kept yelling throughout the entire game and no one from the arena told him to stop except when he yelled a curse word. Also if you're getting tickets to a game do not get the first row of any of the 100s section as the row in front of you is basically on the same eye level so if you have anyone sitting in front of you you're missing the game and there's no way to know that when you purchase. Other than that, good experience.
