Great harmonies, great songs, and great memories. Arlo, his daughter Sarah Lee, and son Abe sound great together. Sarah Lee has a great voice and is a gifted song writer. There were lots of great memories from the sixties plus many new ones. Arlo did the full version of Alice's Restaurant Massacree, City of New Orleans, plus classics like Dylan's Times They Are a Changin'. I can't believe it but the last time I saw Arlo was in 1969 at Woodstock. He still sounds great. Two full sets and a very enjoyable evening overall.

Arlo was artastic! I had the worst seat in the house & I had to first buy a membership to the venue in order to buy a beer, but nonetheless arlo rocked my socks. He's keeping old folk tunes alive & invites everyone to sing along like we're old friends around a campfire. He's the best storyteller around & you can't help but catch his good vibes. I think everyone should experience arlo!

Another great show from a legendary musical icon. With his family, daughter Sarah Lee and son Abe. Shared musical legacy from Woody, Pete Seeger, and others. Arlo is such a natural storyteller and comes across very humble and kind. Wonderful, warm show at our favorite local venue.

The concert was great, Arlo and 2 family members, and drummer, his daughter on guitar and mandolin and vocals, his son on keyboards and vocals....some great traditional folk, a tight band, beautiful guitar work, harmonies and ARLO'S CLASSIC HUMOR AND WIT. And he sounded great. ALICE'S RESTAURANT IS ENCLUDED! Thank you to the Guthrie's for a wonderful evening.

Good show with the Guthrie family. Arlo is a great story teller, let s you have a peek behind the curtain on his musical and family life, as does his daughter. They talked about his father, Woodie, and sing a few of his iconic songs as well. Played one of Arlo s crowd pleasers, Alice s Restaurant; which was great for me, because my brothers and I use to play that song/album before Thanksgiving dinner when I was in college in the early \u201880 s. My friend and I were hoping to here the Motorcycle song, but alas, no dice this time. Nevertheless, we left content and happy at the end of the show; having had a good few laughs, hearing mostly good songs, and even having a crowd sing-along on a few of them!

My son and I attended The Arlo Guthrie RE:Generation tour at the Birchmere on February 18th. What an amazing night. One of the most enjoyable concerts I've ever attended. Arlo was joined by his son. Abe, who sang backup and played keyboard...and by his daughter, Sarah Lee, who took the lead on several songs and has the voice of an angel. Arlo treated us to some of my favorites, singing his own work as well as songs by his Dad, Woody Guthrie and others by Lead Belly and Steve Goodman. He even surprised us with a complete performance of his classic "Alice's Restaurant" which I had heard he doesn't perform as much anymore. Sarah Lee also sang some songs by her grandfather Woody as well as others by Donovan and Phil Ochs. She also sang a few of her own compositions which were beautiful tributes to her mother who passed away a few years ago. Nearly every song was accompanied by a great story. I spent the whole night feeling like I was in the company of some old friends who just happened to be incredibly talented musicians. A truly magical evening, the memory of which I will treasure forever.

We have seen Arlo several times, in various iterations, and he always delivers this was a great mix of classic Arlo and Woody songs, other classics like Midnight Special, and some newer numbers by his daughter Sarah Lee, who is a fine performer in her own right. IF a concert is within driving distance, GO to a Guthrie concert. Arlo Guthrie is a musician you do not want to miss. As a writer, musician, authentic folksinger, and humorist with stories; he is everything one hopes. His daughter Sarah has the music gene and has written personal pieces that touches one's heart through her purity of voice and words. His son completes the trio of Guthries through his harmonizing and keyboard, and drummer completes the sound.

My husband saw an announcement about the upcoming Arlo Gutherie concert in Columbus Monthly, while waiting in an office. We bought the tickets on line and printed at home. GREAT night. The venue is a nice size for this kind of concert. Arlo's story telling between music is fascinating and lends more interest to his songs. His voice is strong and on tune. Whether playing one of his several guitars or the keyboard, he was right on the money. Arlo's adult daughter, on stage with him, had a phenomenal voice. Telling how she wrote the songs before she sang them, lets you know she learned well from her father. Near the end of the 2nd half she sang a song written by her grandfather, Woody Gutherie . Arlo's son, on the keyboards, didn't miss a beat either on the keyboard or on backup singing. Rounding out the group was the drummer (I don't know his relationship to the group). The whole group appeared tight knit and worked very well together. I had such a good time, I bought several CDs to continue the experience and have not been disappointed! If you get a chance to see them, its well worth your time and money.

Perfect venue for Arlo and his partners to play. Sound system did a great job, seats quite comfortable, and easy parking spots. Typical Arlo in a great venue. Plenty of old favorites without overdoing the hits. He was very close to Pete Seeger and, without dedicating the show to him, he did a fine job of getting this across. Lots of stories about both Pete and Woodie. When the show was over, the audience felt like Arlo was a long lost friend that you've known your entire life. I took my collage age daughter, and she said " I have never seen so many old hippies in one place ! This was the best concert I have ever been too ... thanks Dad ! "

I've lost count how many times I've seen Arlo live in venues across America. I have never been disappointed at his show and even now it is just as great as ever! I've grown to prefer the smaller venues because they are so much more personal. The Aladdin Theatre was just what I love for seeing Alro, Abe, and now Krissna. Unbelievable! To see three generations of Guthries right there on the bench. Three generations! Arlo performed a bit more of his dad's music in preperation for a Woody Guthrie Festival(?) I believe. Always great to hear him do his dad's stuff as well as his own, of which I never tire. I also never get weary of his narrations and stories. He has the most unique way of taking a story and extracting marvelous humor and most times ending with a moral that is both profound and wise. The example this show was his story of Joseph. But the pure entertainment that is always in his program is better than ever and I look forward to continue to see him no matter where I cross Arlo's road. First crossing was in 1972. Many others since and I hope, I pray, that there will be many more. The music has only gotten better over the years, the only thing that has changed is the audience. I look around me and realize that my generation didn't age very well but that is of no consequence. We still have great taste in music.

First off - DO NOT Google "Cain Park" for an address or directions. The Venue is the "Evans Amphitheatre" and there is NO parking lot, you have to find street parking in the residential neighborhood (which is limited) and walk to the amphitheatre. Locals are very friendly and helpful and on a nice night they are out walking everywhere. There is a free shuttle but I don't know where you grab it at. I never saw a sign for the Amphitheatre and all the signs for Cain park were for the park where people play tennis and kids swing or play. This is a great outdoor venue on a warm or cool summer night. IF you have lawn seats you can bring your own lawn chairs BUT you have to seat yourself behind the lawn ticket holders who don't have chairs so that they can see the show too. IF it rains it would be a bad night for you. The beer / concession stands are CA$H only... remember this! Even the CD sales, etc. are cash only. Richie Havens did a fantastic show, as always, and finished with his infamous high kick, as always. I've seen him play three times now and he never disappoints. He sat at the CD / poster table and greeted everyone in line individually who waited in line to see him. He signed hundreds of autographs. Arlo did a great job and told many of his fantastic childhood memories of hangin' out with Leadbelly and his memories of (or lack of) Woodstock in August 1969. I think he mentioned his dad, Woody, once but that was as I was waiting to see Richie so it was hard to hear him. IF you bring a camera they will confiscate it and hold it at the venue office. RIchie Havens allowed pictures with cell phones at the table only - NO STAGE SHOTS. Everyone respected this rule except one person I saw taking pics of Arlo on stage with their cell phone - tsk tsk.

Arlo Guthrie is such a talented, entertaining man. My now 13 yr old son and I saw Arlo a few years back at an outdoor Amplitheatre. When tickets went on sale again he immediately asked if we could go again. this time he was at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. Our seats were awesome and the small venue is perfect as it gives you the feel that you're at home in your living room listening to Arlo Guthrie with the familier voice and music that we all know. Arlo is a funny, captivating story teller who had the crowd laughing and singing along all throughout the evening. His first hand recollection of Woodstock was a priceless bit of history that is becoming rare to find. I'm so grateful we had the oppurtunity to hear his amusing story as well as the feel the culture. How many 13 yr olds have shook hands with someone who played at Woodstock?

My third annual to see Arlo in South Florida with my 14 year old son. So, he was twelve when we started together. I've seen Arlo often before, the first being so many years ago at the Woodstock Festival, 1969. Things haven't changed much 'cause he still brings out the best in his audiences; laughter, tears, happiness. We love him, his music, his stories. Wish I could rate this his best but they are all best and all different. Arlo closes with "My Peace" and it simply breaks me up. Fabulous sing-a-long and the vibes fill the venue with serenity and joy, brotherhood and love. Arlo Guthrie is an American treasure, a gift to the world, and never to be missed.

Arlo never disappoints. His warmth exudes through his songs and music. His son Abe is a talented keyboardist. His guitarist is amazing. The entire package was just wonderful. The only caveat to the good time was the "over-presence" of security. I know my purse will be looked into, I was scanned for metal. Okay, I get it. BUT, to have armed sheriff's in the house and security guards right next to the stage? It was distracting and definitely took away from the pure joy of this talented storyteller.

I won't say this was the best Arlo show I have attended in the past 20 or so times that I have seen him. It was certainly, however, a great evening. He started late and took a very long intermission so we didn't get as many tunes as usual. Band was very good. Abe even rocked out a little bit. Glad he stopped using the motorcycle video. It was really lame.

There were different songs this time but the best part is when Arlo just talks.

Although Arlo was definitely in good voice and humor, out of the 20 songs performed I only knew 7 of them. None of the humorous songs like Ring Around Rose, the Motorcycle Song, or even hints of Alice's Restaurant were to be heard, which was kind of a shame as Arlo is such a great storyteller! No songs from the album Washington County, probably his best work(after Alice). None of the country songs he did with Hoyt Axton, ergo, again, although he did sound good there was a good deal lacking.

Cashed in a birthday present from my wife-tickets for Arlo Guthrie, one of our great American treasures. Really an enjoyable evening, listening to his music and stories. Never political or preachy, Arlo is simply a very entertaining and talented musician. With a strong backup band that never tried to take the spotlight, he talked about his experience with Woodstock, growing up with his famous father and the musicians who influenced his life. Great show at the Sherman Theater, Stroudsburg, PA

Alice's Restaurant 50th anniversary tour was wonderful..I'm so glad he finally came to Biloxi! Lots of old favorites and Arlo has added a big screen for photos and video clips to play behind the songs.

This rocker was having doubts before attending this show that it would be too laid back. It was, but his long descriptions between songs is what made for a great show. The only thing that was not rehearsed was when a string broke on his 12-string guitar just before dedicating the next song to his late wife. Yes, he is a perfectionist. Videos also added to the event.

An amazing evening! Arlo talked a lot between songs. He told about the songs he was singing, what inspired him... He was very funny. Just hearing him talk was worth the price of the tickets. A string broke on his guitar as he was begining a song, but he kept on telling tales and no one minded that it took the roadie several minutes to replace it. If you can't go, he has a cd that is the concert. If you like Arlo, then you must have this cd from his website.

Arlo Guthrie has a wealth of stories to go along with his songs and music. The show revolved around the 50th anniversary of Alice's Restaurant but his stories spanned his whole life. Arlo and his band of family and friends were amazing. I can't recommend this enough to people who appreciate a singer/songwriter and his journey through life!

Loved Arlo - listening to his stories about his career and his Dad's was almost as good as his singing. Wish he would sit down with the folks on the Guitar Sessions show and spend a couple of hours talking to them about his life and times! Would love to see another show of his!

The evening began with a set lead by Arlo s daughter, Sara Lee. She has the voice of an angel and a stage persona that made me and the rest of the audience fall totally in love with her. When Arlo appeared he did not disappoint. There was much new work-at least I had not heard it before-and of course his old favs. The only negative had noting to do with the performance but the seating. Liberty Hall is one of those grand old downtown theaters that I love, BUT, the aisles between the balcony seats on the right (and left) were so narrow that even my 5 9 frame had trouble fitting in. The two really tall guys in front simply could not squeeze in and had to stand during the entire performance.

This concert was 50 years in the making and worth the wait. The music was just fantastic and the stories Arlo told to go with the songs were priceless. His daughter, Sarah Lee, opened the show and was great. She could easily have been a headliner and would be worth the price of admission. The Birchmere is a great place to see a show too. It is small without being too small. The concert was festival seating (no assigned seats), but there isn't a bad seat in the house so even the people who arrived last had great seats. The food served at the Birchmere is really good too.

This show was just great! The whole family vibe to it, the set list, the motion graphics; I have been enjoying Arlo's shows since I was a little girl on the lawn at the Filene Center...more years ago than I care to count! His shows are always fun, and this was no different. His daughter, Sarah Lee, opened for him and his son, Abe, played keyboards.

Arlo Guthrie continues to delight with his strong voice and biting wit. Lovely to see his children perform with him. His daughter, Sarah, sang a wonderful children's song with lyrics written by her grandfather. His son played the keyboard in the band.

Arlo is just the best. In addition to a great rendition of Alice's Restaurant he did many of his other famous songs, as well as some of Woody's songs, and others. It was a great show from start to finish. He daughter Sarah performed, and hearing her was a treat. I highly recommend this show to anyone from the '60s.

Arlo Guthrie and his family brought warmth and love to the stage! This was an incredible time spent hearing words and music from legends of our time. A wonderful tribute to Woody Guthrie and beloved songs from Arlo, Sara Lee as well as Donavon and Bob Dylan. So glad I could share this with my sister!
