I took my 17-yr-old daughter, Krys, and a close friend of our's, Diane, to see Jackie. I saw him perform in Manhattan on and off Broadway almost 30yrs ago and loved his shows. Krys and I loved this show. She said she did not expect to like it so much... as in laugh so much. She was surprised and said repeatedly, when we first arrived at the theater, that she was "the youngest one" there. I told her that somebody had to be the youngest, and promised her she'd laugh; and she did... a lot, as well as I. I sat between Krys and Diane and kept looking side to side to see their reactions. I was having a great time, and wanted them too, as well. Krys and I are Gentiles; Diane is Jewish, and she didn't laugh as much as we did, because she said Jackie was talking about the "extremes" (when he joked about Jewish people) and the "icing on the cake was when" Jackie joked about her "beloved Starbucks"; go figure. She took some of the jokes personally, unfortunately, but still said she enjoyed the show and had a good time. BTW, he didn't only talk about Jewish people. Jackie is very funny, I think, because he is a master in his "delivery" of his jokes. He said during the show that he had Laryngitis; he did seem to be battling something similar to a cold, but kept on going and never wavered. He did his Ed Sullivan moves just as he did decades ago. I love Jackie, and will see him again... I hope. He joked that many of us were there because we figured he may not be around much longer and wanted to get in one last show, and that others were there, because if he passed during the show, they'd be looking for a refund. Doesn't read funny, does it? Actually sounds sad. But the audience really cracked up... because it's his DELIVERY... :)

Not funny, his views on politics became a diatribe that had people yelling, angry and walking out. I wanted my money back couldn't get it. Never again

We needed some laughs and Jackie Mason was the one to do it. This was the first time we had seen him and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. Non-stop jokes, lots of laughing out loud. He was candid and told it like it is, no holding back. We had a fun night out.

I last saw Jackie in 1994 on Broadway. I thought he was hilariously funny then although I had to excuse his crudity and prejudices (political and racial) as his way of getting to the truths of life. This time I found it much harder because he doesn't know when to stop. OK sometimes he hits the nail on the head but once you've made your point, enough already yet. I was shocked by the audience's enthusiastic response to his political diatribe. Frankly I was not entertained although I did come away forced to face up to prejudice -- my own and of my fellow citizens.

Jackie Mason with his usual repertoire of jokes pointing out who's Jewish v who's Gentile-was hilarious! He threw in some Obama jokes and anti-French jokes too-disturbing some for a moment-but as he pointed out-"It's a show!"

I have seen Jackie Mason in the past and was VERY disappointed in his Friday night performance. His material was somewhat dated. He complained about the sound system. Why wasn't that checked prior to the show? Also, I don't understand why the lights had to be flashed and the spotlight moving around to notify him that the first act was completed? In my opinion, It appeared rather amateurish. Also, as was totally offended that he called a Jewish person a Nazi bastard.. REally????? There were NO other insults he could have hurled at the audience. I would expect insults, but that was over the top. I would not plan to see Jackie Mason again and I would seriously consider whether I would return to the Wilbur for a similar show. Thank you

Was dissapointed in Jackie Mason on Friday night. His humor was very funny at times and had great moments. But his political rants on Obama nd democrats got boring and personal. He tried to roll it into comedy but for the most part was long drawn out rants. I am a Obama supporter but cna poke fun of all but his rants seemed very personal and over the top. I ahve heard this is how his acts is now so I would forego it for the 60 bucks..

I'd never seen Jackie Mason perform live, and I was a little apprehensive that he might not be that sharp or funny at his age, but he's definitely still got it. The material was all new, right up to the minute current and very funny.

I am sure we would have enjoyed the show much more were it not for the seating/venue. 6 ppl to a 16" round table ridiculous and since we were near the bar, loud and couldn't hear the entire show - VERY disappointed. We paid as much as others but the quality of these seats versus the other seating a big zero. Couldn't wait for show to be over to get out of there. It was a shame because we didn't get the full umph of the show - we've seen Jackie before and KNOW he was probably great that night but with the distractions and noise around us we didn't get to fully enjoy him.

I have seen Jackie Mason three or four times on two continents. Each time, I thought he was hilarious. I used to listen to tapes of his shows as a teenager many years ago. I count myself a fan. This show, however, was awful. The jokes were lame and past their sell by dates. There was far too much political content - most of it puerile talk radio style trash - and not enough observational comedy. I guess it was brave to come before a Boston audience and tell right-wing anti-liberal jokes, and clearly some in the house like them, but even though I am no Democrat I thought the jokes stunk. The theater was half full, the applause after the break luke warm. Professionally the show seemed very threadbare and shoddy - the mic didn't work properly, the show started 15 minutes late and the interval overran to 30 minutes. I wont bother seeing Mr Mason live again.

There were long periods of subtle laughter and short periods of extreme laughter. Jackie has become self important. His opinions, especially on politics and world events, seem to have strayed into preaching with little humor to support the subject matter. As much as some were visibly offended by the Obama lampooning (which is appropriate for a comedian to use as material), Jackie seemed to have taken more than usual delight in negativity. The crowd was in great laughter when Jackie talked about marriage, delis, food, French restaurants,...all common threads of humor. No, Mr. Mason was far more entertaining in his Broadway one-man show a decade ago, when he delighted us with his Ed Sullivan routine. Now, he's probably nothing more than viewing a self-centered veteran. Jackie has seen my last attendance or television viewing.of his career. Sorry. If I wanted to attend a lecture, I'd go to school. i kind of paid for a comedy show. By the way, the Jewish song chants in front of a silent audience is a great example of a bad show and a comedian that seemed unprepared to entertain.

I have been a huge Jackie Mason fan my whole life. I even met him (briefly) a couple of times, as well as his brother. It has been a while since I have seen him perform and I realize he is 86 years old, but I was somewhat shocked to see him like this. He was very unsteady with his material, repeating some of the material when he seemed to forget where he was in his act. At one point he was so disoriented that he was talking into the wrong end of the microphone. To be fair, I still enjoyed seeing him again, and some of his material was very funny. I just feel he is not the sharp cutting edge comedian he once was, and that is sad to see. He is very likeable and a 'mensch' but I think his stand up days are coming to a sad end.

Horrible! Mason needed a cheat sheet, repeated the same joke 3 times, went silent several times, almost fell 2 times and could not find his way off stage 2 times, breathing was difficult for home and it was loud from the mike... wish I could be refunded

As stated by other reviews, when Jackie goes off on a political bent, the show flatlines. I'm not bothered by political humor on either side (goodness knows there is plenty of material on either side to mine). However, Jackie just spouts his opinions and THERE ARE NO JOKES. The audience just goes dead until he starts up his timeless schtick about everything under the sun. Then the real laughter begins again. Mr. Mason, please leave the political comments to the talking heads on tv and stick to the material that has garnered you countless fans over the years.

We've seen Jackie Mason years ago, as well as on TV, and we always were hysterical. Unfortunately, this performance was not at all good, below par, and certainly not what we expected. The beginning was very political, not all that funny, and a huge turn off. Jackie is to the right politically and though we're not and we can laugh with either side, this was over the top and alienating. We expected to hear the old Jewish shtick, some of which followed, but the routines were old, repetitive, and by that time, we'd had it.

If you have a chance, look up a some of his old shows on YouTube for instant Laughs! My husband and I saw Jackie Mason show at Bergen Performing Art Center in Englewood, NJ. Show started on time and if it was even twice long we don't mind. We laugh so hard, as well as other people in the audience. And we were energize by 86 years old Jackie Mason be able to do such a great job. Hopefully he will be able to perform some more shows next year. We will treasure a memory of this and previous his shows for years to come. Thank you, Jachie Mason.

The Good:He's on for about 45 minutes, then takes a 20 minute break, then comes out again for about 40 minutes - so he gives you more time than the usual comedian does. The Bad: the first 45 minutes were completely about bashing Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. "They never accomplished anything before (or after) they were elected" was his basic theme, which he revisited many times. The Good: The 40 minutes were better - he stayed off of politics, which, in my opinion, "is none of his business", as he said about other things.

Although a comic icon, Jackie seemed to forget where he was going with some of his jokes-never got to the twist or part that made the narrative funny. Too political. Some parts funny, other parts offensive/racist. Not my kind of humor. Disappointing as I like his CDs/DVDs. Sorry Jackie.

I love Jackie Mason but I think he needs to hang up the hat. He wasn't good. He did a lot on politics which for 15 minutes it was funny but the rest was not and he took a long intermission and came back and did something that wasn't funny on Ferguson. He did none of his old jokes which are funny and it's obvious he's getting very old and it was tough for him. This will be my last Jackie Mason show.

In thought Jackie Mason's performance was disgusting filled with exaggerated comments of political events. His total disrespect of the President of the United States & the first lady showed his ignorance of the office. He has gotten too old to be funny and therefore relies heavily on his biased views of the democratic system. He should be banned from every venue in the future. His career should end.

We had seen Mr. Mason on Broadway and thought he was hysterical. This time however he was disgusting!!! He ranted nonstop from the moment he walked on the stage about how bad Obama (using his race as the subject quite often)& Hillary Clinton are. Now I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but when he then went on to malign what happened in Ferguson- as the cops being justified-that was the last straw. He used racial epithets that were extremely offensive. WE WALKED OUT before the first intermission & when we did there were Many people walking out with us!!! All of them disgusted!!! One woman was fighting to get her money back. Horrible!!! Never Gain. He should retire!

There was no communication between performer and the audience. He just came on stage and started talking in his rapid fire style. There was no opening act which was surprising. The show started 15 minutes late, Mason was on for 35 minutes, then came a 30 minute intermission, and he came back for another 30 minutes. It just seemed a total waste of time. The show started 8:15pm and ended at 9:45pm. Not good planning for a Saturday night. I know I went there for nostalgic reasons, for what I remembered of Jackie Mason from years ago and to see what he looked like now. I know he is in his eighties but he certainly does not belong on a stage anymore. This unfortunately, was a true waste of my money.

Jackie was great as always - however Westbury NYCB did not do right by him by not testing the microphones beforehand and letting him appear to be going down hill! Many people were rude to him and kept calling out that they couldn't hear him and after intermission, the microphones were fixed!!! I think he was upset and embarrassed and it all could have been avoided if the microphones were tested and adjusted for his act! He is a real showman and the last of his breed!!!

Jackie Mason began his Westbury show saying that he had a cold and laryngitis. He appeared more frail and slight than I had seen him before. Unclear whether he was just sick that night, or is simply aging. Despite the ad of an "all new show," most of his jokes were old ones. But my group laughed and laughed and enjoyed him nonetheless. He has updated his material to include Obama and even the NYC mayor's race. But his standard jokes about ethnicity were, once again, hilarious. His timing is great, and he appears so comfortable on stage.

I realize he may have been under the weather , as he stated, but the show was approximately only 40-50 minutes long and it was difficult to hear him. Too much money for such a short show, maybe he should have a warm up.

Jackie Mason was hilarious - really needed the laughs as life has become so maudlin these days. First act was stronger than the second - but it was still a sensational night.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Jackie Mason three times in my life. The first in London many years ago and he was so hysterical, he brought the house down. His material at that time was very much based on Jewish culture but he mocked all religions and races. The second time was very funny but I found some of the first material repeated. It was still well worth the price of admission. The final time was this past November 9th. I was concerned about his age and whether his material would be different. I was pleasantly surprised at his ability to still command the audience. His material was new and modern. He never missed a beat and had the audience laughing the whole show. He is a master at his craft and I would consider him one of the greatest comedians of our time. His imitations at the end of the show were outstanding. Sitting between my elderly parents and watch them laugh was a treasure. Bravo!

Horrible Embarrassing Insulting Rude Absurd Arrogant Hateful and NOT the slightest bit funny, politically or otherwise. Now that I know he found Clint Eastwood's Chair Debacle at the Republican Convention hysterical, it all makes sense. He has turned off two life-long fans. Never again.

The Jackie Mason concert was so much fun. I took my entire family, and everyone enjoyed his show. I heard that this was his last stand up show, and I am hoping that it is not. He is so talented and kept the audience laughing throughout.

Bad taste. Bad judgement on his part. He was too political and disrespectfully political at that, and anyhow, no one goes to a comedy show to hear a political lecture. Jackie needs to retire before he blows whatever goodwill he's accrued over the decades. He's boring now and forgetful and has earned a long, quiet retirement, which in my opinion he should begin immediately. You want to laugh at Jackie Mason? Buy the recordings, at least they're still funny. The live Jackie Mason? Not so much...

His type of humor is to tell the truth about life (at least in his perspective) and make it funny. I laughed so hard at times my sides hurt. Some people took his political views too seriously; remember this is a comedy show.

Jackie Mason was everything I expected and more. He was funny, he was topical, his material was new and I don't remember when I laughed more or had a better time. Bring him back and I will definitely be back. I recommend his show to all my friends.

I walked out of the show. I was horrified by this man and could not even believe how disgusting he was. I was not alone in my thoughts. Half of the audience walked out of the show. His show was by far the WORST show i have EVER seen. I even went to the box office and told them that they should be careful because there my be a problem due to the ignorant statements he was making and the uproar he was creating. VERY NEGATIVE AND DOWNRIGHT AWFUL! HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PREFORM.

We love Jackie Mason and go to most of his shows, so maybe that is the reason that we found his material to be basically stuff we heard again and again. Of course his delivery is hysterical so it easy to laugh again at the old jokes. He did add some new stuff at the beginning, but very little.

Jackie Mason provides a night of extremely entertaining commentary on life, love, politics, sex - everything! He glides smoothly from one subject to another with his signature style of saying the thing a dozen different ways, each funnier than the last. I would have given him 5 enthusiastic stars, except that his sprinkling of the f-word throughout detracted from the impact of his humor. It's unnecessary - he's so funny, he doesn't need to add that kind of offensive "spice." We will go to see him again, but hope that he tones it down.

Crude, rude, and soo funny! Second half funnier than the first mainly because of political content of first half. Also, his memory is fading a bit but you really have to forgive him due to age....Hey, what's his age???? He's still very current. Just go and relax and let yourself enjoy this evening of off-color, sometimes vulgar language, but right-on humor %95 of the time.

Jackie Mason is an amazing man. Just saw him last year...really just about the same show ...liked him a little better last year. But trust me the show is great. He speaks his mind. He makes his major complaints heard ...and still so funny. He has so many people laughing at themselves. I laugh from the time he comes out on stage till we get home.

Jackie never disappoints! His tour is called "no holds barred" : No kidding! We laughed every second since the opening of the show. This is the 3rd time we've seen him in person. He's not in L.A. very often. So whenever we get a chance to get tickets we do!

Jackiie Mason was funny as ever at the perfomance. We laughed & enjoyed his new material. I laughed so much my cheeks hurt. Sadly, they did not have the cd for sale to keep laughing at home. Also the theater needs to be more specific about directions. It was not clear that the theater was in the Veteran's Center, we kept driving around & were just frustrated.

I attended Jackie's 1/24/10 show in Los Angeles. The material (from Tweeting to politics) was smart and fresh. His trademark delivery left everyone, except the hapless front row shmos, convulsing in laughter. Great performance!
