Death From Above, BRMC, Deap Vally. If you were there you know what I mean... Unless you were on of those people in the front who just stood there expressionless.

BRMC are one of my favorite bands to see live. They played a lot of songs from their newest album Specter At The Feast but made sure to play at least 2 crowd favorites from their previous albums. Their presence onstage is pure rock n roll. I was transfixed the whole time on just watching them play. The lights and smoke just make the whole show surreal. I'm pretty sure they played for almost two hours because every time I thought they were playing their last song, they got handed their next guitar/bass. SOFA KING GOOD!!! I think I tried to claw my own heart out to throw it onstage.

This was my 3rd time seeing BRMC, and I LOVED the show! They're so good live, which is REALLY hard to find. The Whigs were a solid live band too, but there just weren't really my cup of tea. Awesome show though, and it's always good to see BRMC!!!

The Performance was great. The harmonies where tight and the lighting effects were amazing. The only think i was not happy with was the audience. There where only a few people towards the front dancing (including me), but most of the people where just standing around. Other than that I had a ton of fun.

Awesome event at the always fun and funky Wonder Ballroom! Great warmup by the Whigs - wild-ass drummer kicked it up. Hung in the balcony above the madding crowd, missing the vibe on the floor but not the getting squashed. The floor is no place for petite girls.

The concert was great. Loved the light show, worked well with the music. The band made me think of a new present day Bob Dylan, which is fantastic! Was my first time pretty much actually hearing them play. Thought they were great and I am telling everyone about them

My third time seeing BRMC and the BEST! I simply find these two guys and one girl to write and perform music that stirs my soul in a way that no other modern band does. Their ability to perform rock and roll that connects the dots of gospel, country, blues and rock blows me away. I'm so grateful that this band exists, writes music, and tours. Do not miss the opportunity to watch these guys play. I hope they touch your soul the way they do mine.

From the start to the finish this show rocked. I can't wait to see them again. The audience, myself included, clearly loves the music on a deeper level and came not to hear their fave songs but to experience the raw talent and passion of the band. The setlist was spectacular, but really secondary to the overall success of the show. They could have played any of the tracks from their albums, past and present, and the audience would not have only liked them but responded to them on a visceral level. It was obvious to me that the musicians have created an intimate relationship with their audience, not through vanity or showboat tactics, but with pure charisma. This band will last and the audience will grow in number and maturity along with the members themselves.

As always, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club brought the rock n roll... loudly and proudly. They started the show with two tunes from their new album Beat the Devil's Tattoo, then jumped right into old nuggets from their debut ("Red Eyes and Tears","Love Burns"). They played fan favorites from 2005's Howl and 2007's Baby 81, but - and this is one of only two complaints- they practically ignored 2003's brilliant Take Them On, On Your Own, playing only "Six Barrel Shotgun". The new songs were pretty impressive; I look forward to the new release. And new drummer Leah Shapiro is a force to be reckoned with. She not only laid down the groove - she drove the band in a way I haven't heard them driven before. Last complaint: touring sideman Spike Keating was missed somewhat. The band was awesome overall, but there were holes in some songs ("Weapon of Choice", "Berlin")

The plus: Venue was nice, clean and well maintained. All three bands that played were really good. Tickets were reasonably priced. T shirts, souvenir selection/price good. All the band member hung around after their set to watch the show and talk to fans. Minus: it was a long show. There was nowhere to sit on the main floor..except the floor. If I had known I might have come a little later. There was no playbill available online or on location...which was kinda strange. The venue was nice but the acoustics made it so loud that by the time BRMC came on I was deaf to variations in sound. it just all sounded like loud guitars. Bring ear protection would be my advice. Also, I wished they would have played more old stuff. Honestly I think "Take em on on your own" is a better album. But It was a good show and if you're a fan you will enjoy it.

The venue was small and had a good "underground concert" vibe. Drinks were pricy, but not as expensive as some other places in Vegas. The opening band was good, even though I had not heard of them before. BRMC was Awesome! very loud, full base, sick drums and guitar licks. The lighting effects really complimented the music. This show was pumping, the boys were in top form blasting one rocking hit after the other. The crowd were simply enthralled with the music, there wasn't a steady soul in the Wiltern that night. The support group, thenewno2, were brilliant too, this was my first time hearing them but haven't stopped listening to their cd I bought that night, unless, of course, I was listening to some BRMC. I've heard before that a bad sound guy can ruin the experience at a concert. I'm pretty sure this was the case here. The guitars overpowered the drums and vocals. Too many ballads were played. The lighting sent over to the crowd was blinding. I wouldn't see them again.

I go to a lot of shows. I don't review many. But I have to give kudos to BRMC. They've amassed a massive catalog of great songs over the years and they play enough mix of old and new songs to keep it both familiar and fresh. They played for at least 2 hours. They are LOUD! Maybe loudest band I've seen. I'll bring ear plugs for next time. Cool T-shirt designs too, better than most bands and they all cost $20.

What can you say? BRMC was awesome in ATL. The textures of the guitars and the melding of the voices. Totally mezmorizing!! This is my third BRMC concert and they never fail to disappoint. They are true musicians and feel the music with their hearts. Kudos to the drumming as well, which was excellent. I met the guys in Atlanta a few years ago and they had the flu. Sick as dogs yet still plowed through and performed excellent. And even though they felt terrible they took the time to talk to me after the show. Class Act! If you haven't seem them perform, you haven't seen true rock and roll. Thanks guys/gal for giving me and my friends a great night of music. See you next time.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club always put on a great show and this was no different. They relied heavily on new music, as there were 7 or 8 new tracks played, but that was fine, because the new material is great and comes off even better in concert. They also sprinkled a heavy does of early tracks and favorites. So, nobody left disappointed. The highlights, for me, were Six Barrel Shotgun and Berlin. Opening band, Night beats were great too, but really need to cut back on the vocal reverb, especially between songs. Couldn't understand a word they were saying while talking to the audience.

Ultra Cool Modern Rock Group which impressed the hell out of this jaded concert goer. They're both modern and retro at the same time and I love the slide guitar work. They are a most interesting group and their new album "Wrong Creatures" competes well with the fantastic "Beat the Devil's Tattoo" album. They just sound so damn good! Great musicians! I've been wanting to see BRMC for years, and I've very glad I finally got to catch this unique and talented trio. They rock hard, but with a unique moody sound and versatility that was a pleasure to see live. They were, as one might expect from a band with as many years experience as they have, tight and professional. The sound quality was better for their set than for Death from Above (see comments below). The only disappointment was that they did not do an encore, for reasons that were not clear. The crowd certainly was enthusiastic in asking for one, but after two or three minutes, the lights just went up. Death from Above 1979 is a truly unique duo of bass and drums. They bring funk, punk, and a certain je ne sais quoi to a party, and this performance was no exception. The only negatives were a poor sound mix that obscured the lyrics, and the fact that the lead singer was visibly pained (nice black eye, dude) from a beatdown he took in Texas earlier in the tour. Still, a good band on record, and a great band live.

Let me preface my statements by saying I am a BIG BRMC fan. Having said that I must say it seems as though they phoned it in on this night. Compared to the two previous times I have seem them in recent years this show was not up to par. The sound was muddy, the show was short, no encore and it seemed as of they were just going through the motions. Death From Above 1979 were even worse. Sound was horrible and their music pretty much sucked. The real stars of this show was Deap Vally. They rocked. Their sound was clear, plenty of enthusiasm, an overall great experience. Hope to see them again.

BRMC plays great music but on the CDs sometimes it sounds like there is a muffler put on the music to take the edges off. Live you get the edges, the energy, and it is simply the best. This is what makes BRMC such a great band and why more people need to get out and hear them live.

Great sound, great music, great musicians... I love this band! The only downer was the constant bright white back lighting and white strobe lights. Beautiful location, amazing band, but the venue really needs to work on the sound quality for concerts.

BRMC came out and did a mixture of their new the old favorites like The show was awesome. If you have never seen this band or aren't real familiar you should check them out. They have a big time future ahead of them for sure. They are very tight, flawless together. Unique vocals and deep lyrics. They are even playing on Jimmy Fallon tonight and then back the Webster Hall for a 2nd night.

I've seen these guys (and girl, now!), at least 5 or 6 times and they never disappoint! This time the focus was more Plugged-In and effects heavy, but that's not a bad thing. The finale was unforgettable and the new, improved and expanded versions of older songs are always great to hear. If I had any complaint, it's only that I would have loved to hear a bit more of Peter with his Acoustic guitar and Harmonica.

Mega show. Awesome setlist.. As always the tunes that go over the best are from HOWL. Even though its not my fave album by them.. RIFLES lads! Get it back in the set!

No one like him on bass. The new drummer kicks ass. Super long set list, well worth the money. This is one original band who play with their heart not just for the money or anything else. you can see their true devotion for their music.

What a great show and great performance by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They rocked the show for well over two hours and the encore was fabulous. The setlist covered a lot from the new album but also hit oldies. If you're been looking for a real ROCKING ROCK show than go see BRMC perform live.

BRMC is a great band. Really good musicians. The sound didn't need be so loud, and the light show was good but a little overdone

Black Rebel played a great show. I was impressed at their technical ability. They sounded just like the album, and with just 3 people! BRMC played a slew of new songs off the Beat the Devil's Tatoo album. They also shared some popular classics. They were not very talkative, but played for a solid 2+ hours. I think they appreciated the response from Cleveland, even though the venue was definitely not full. This was my second time seeing them and I can't decide which show was better, so I guess that means they are consistent. Overall, a great show.

Saw the BRMC last night and thought they played great! Loud, smokey and distortion pedals galore. Never saw them in person before and I was impressed by their musicianship. Great solid guitar Rock! Vocals were clear and crisp and new drummer Lea Shapiro can bang the skins! They played a variety of new and old for almost 2 hours. The only drawback if you can call it was their slight disconect with the crowd. I expected a bit more personality from them. They did bring up an old friend who helped with the recording of their new album which was done in Philly and allowed him to sing along with an Elvis song which was cool. Not a major drawback but a bit more communication with the crowd would have been nice. Opening act Alberta.....was not bad. All in all a good show.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at TLA was a night to remember forever. This band played all their popular old tunes as well as their new songs. They sounded amazing and they also have an incredible stage presence. They played nearly for over 2 hours!!! If they return to TLA again, I would definately see them again, without any hesitation.

I love the low-key TLA! This was a great show with a good crowd, they played a great set, though the lights were kinda blinding and headache inducing.

Great show, setlist was 5 star, heavy on the new album, which I think is excellent. TLA is a good place to see them, small down and dirty...will definitely see them again when/ if they return....came on at 9:30 and played till midnight...money's worth and then some...only bummer was walking in the door and having the coolest t shirt only in sizes S and XXL....weak.....but overall it's really all about the music, and BRMC delivered big time....
