Morten Harket, Pål Waaktaar, and Magne Furuholmen were fantastic! They are incredibly talented musicians and they made their music come alive on stage. I went not knowning what to expect since their following in the USA didn't seem too huge to me. Yet, all their concerts sold out there and at Chicago. Their voices and musical talent are top notch and their lyrics are poetic and meaningful. The venue was great too. Got to stand right up against the stage and photography was allowed.

A-Ha delivered the type of performance a fan would expect given that it was their farewell tour. Albeit they only did 4 songs from Hunting High and Low - they engaged the audience with their great lyrics, smooth, electronic sound, and unforgettable Norwegian voices. To see Take On me and The Sun Always Shines on TV live are like nothing else! Indeed a great event!

One of the best shows I have been to-- energetic, creative, and skilled musicianship-- do they really want to retire? I see a sexond coming career in the U.S. if they wanted it! Don't miss the tour-- highlights "Summer Moved On," "Analogue," "Move To Memphis"... almost the entire "Scoundrel Days" album-- well doneS

While the entire show was unbelievable, the most amazing aspect of the show was lead singer Morten Harket. After 25 years he still looks just as good as he did back in A-ha's heyday. And even more amazingly, HE CAN STILL HIT THE HIGH NOTES. That's not easy to do. "Take On Me" was the very last song they did in their set, and after a full show I expected that high note at the end of the chorus to be a little shaky. Nope. He NAILED it. Bottom line--I would absolutely recommend this show if you're even thinking about going. I was at best a casual fan of A-ha prior to attending this show, and I walked out of the Nokia regretting that this was my first and last time ever seeing them live. NOT TO BE MISSED!

The show started a little slow. They played some newer material which was pretty good. After about 4 songs, they started going backwards in time and they were just fabulous. Morten did a few songs acapella. His voice sounded great. He missed one or two high notes, but considering the amount of them in their songs, that's pretty good! If you are like me, and own at least the first three albums and listened to them from start to finish, you will love this show. Can't believe "Take On Me" is 25 years old! Yikes!

Simply put, this was the best concert I have ever been to. I have waited 25 years to see A-HA live and this was a dream come true! Morten's voice hasn't changed a note. It was mythical. Like I was in a dream. I have never felt as moved seeing a live show. Mags was spot on working the keyboard like it was an extension of his own body. Pal delivered a non-stop performance with the trio making every sound sweeter than the next. I can't wait to see them again tonight. I will be in heaven all over again!

It was great to see A-ha back in the States for the first time in awhile , the concert was amazing playing most of the songs from their first two debut albums "Hunting High & Low" & "Scoundrel Days" , as well as more recent albums such as "Minor Earth , Major Sky" , and couple of tracks off "Life Lines" and "Foot Of The Mountain" their latest endeavor . Morten was right on track with his beautiful vocals as well as Paul & Magne . A great night was had by all who attended The Nokia Theater on Thursday night in New York . The only sad point of the evening was the realisation that they are breaking up and this will probably be the last time to see them together .. But, I do say congradulation's and thanks for an amzing twenty five year career of great and unforgetable music .

Great evening from start to finish - begining with the talented Sondre Lerche to a phenomenal set by A-ha. It was a bit toasty in the venue, and a couple of sound glitches were promptly addressed without stopping the show. But these things are bound to happen at any live event. Otherwise, the sound was powerful and clear, the video montage was exciting and enhancing to the show, Morten's voice soared for the most part, and A-ha played together dynamically and beautifully. The songs performed were plentiful - an eclectic selection from their discography to which the audience responded enthusiastically. All-in-all, a crowd-pleasing performance in every way.

I went to the show when they came to NY last time and was sad that they only had one US show. This show was worth the wait! The set was phenomenal as well as the lighting effects. Mags, Pal and Morten were on their game! I loved how they re-arranged the songs and no words can describe the vocals. It hasn't aged at all and was on perfect pitch. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening and 25 years worth of memories...

Superb show. I never understood how this band could not get a deal in the US, although they are huge everywhere else (that's how I discovered they continued on after Hunting High and Low; I was in a record store in Paris on a vacation, and saw a couple of their albums). They were totally mismarketed as a pop band from the start. I'm sorry they are splitting up but glad to have seen them again after 24 years.

Surreal, these elusive guys who rarely tour or come around to the US left me wanting more. It was less than 2 hours, but they cranked out their newbies to the oldies with wild abandon. I met some other die hard fans who traveled far and near to see their last US concert ever. Great graphic backdrop, especially before the encore, a montage of their last 25 years as a group. I just wanted to savor and remember it forever.

This was the last concert A-Ha is scheduled to play in America. Their last show ever is to be later this year in Oslo, of their home country, Norway. I hope they do a Barbra Streisand and come back. I always liked them from 'back in the day', one of my all time favorites. This was the first time I saw them. I am glad I did. They have a small loyal fan base to still be following them after 25 years with no air play in the last 20 or so.

I normally would never do this (ie: post a stupid opinion online), but this show compelled me, so here we go. . . Great show. Great setlist. Great performances all around. I am a little embarrassed to admit I went into this show expecting to have to do a little forgiving (despite the fact that I consider myself a big a-ha fan and have listened to a lot of their live recordings, etc.), what with them being around 50 years of age and stuff now, but I should have known better because that notion was completely obliterated by the performance. They were really full on. Sounded amazing. Absolutely nailed that set. I kind of wish the audience had been more active and didn't just stand there with their cell phones out so much (and I got the impression the band may have wanted a little more of that as well) but that didn't detract from the show at all since I was just there to hear the band and show some appreciation for their awesomeness. My first time, and unfortunately last time I guess, seeing them live. A very satisfying and enjoyable experience after listening to their music for over a decade. I was extremely impressed and happy. Well done a-ha folks. And thanks for all the great music. Please come back to play in LA if you ever feel like it again. One can always dream. . .

Yes, Morten can hit the high notes. Both, the venue and the show were awesome. It was a dream come true for me to see this band live, and in a city I love too. Dynamic vocals, great synth sounds, drums, and guitar permeated the air I breathed this night. A-ha took me to a higher plane. I would definitely see another show at the Club Nokia. Loved the show @ Club Nokia last Sunday. It was very intimate and didn't mind standing for more than two hours. Morten still has that amazing voice and Mags and Pal also did a great job. I loved the way Mags interacted with the crowds. It was too bad that we couldn't purchase closer seats. I hope they will have a reunion in a couple of years. Their performance will forever be instilled with me "All my life!" They played and sounded perfect. They performed all their songs all just as they normally sound if not better. I was totally thrilled with every single song they perfromed and amazed on how well they did them. Morton can still belt out his vocals!!! Mags & Paul play every note just as anyone would wish to hear the A-ha melody's tune! So sad to be a farewell tour and being such a long time devoted fan and getting my once in a lifetime chance to finally see them was such a treat! I did buy tickets way back in 86-87 when they came here to california to play on tour but the show got canceled due to the entire crew got really sick. I was so bummed out! I wish i could see them a few more times before they extinguish the flame that burned so brightly with their careers. I loved the vidoe backdrop behind them that showed there 25 years of A-ha. They should run it longer and over a couple times because there is so much going on and to see. Man, I am telling you, those pictures we all can relate to with our own lives. Seeing the changes as the A-ha gang went thru over thier 25 years brought me back to my exact changes we all have over the span of our own lives. And to relate with the music of A-ha then, my young adulthood and now all grown up can really touch anyone with fond memories! Thanks A-ha!!!! Well Done!! I will always enjoy your melodies and forever remember the chance i got to see them actually perform. Thank You so much! Reuben S.

Everyone would love this show. They look sound great, look great, and were very fun. The audience was fun as well.. we had good people all around us. Club Nokia is a lousy theater. You feel like you are in a cave and what is up with putting chairs in a mosh pit? More like a posh pit.. so dumb. No one sat in them except for before the show. If you are going to sell GA tickets, then sell ga tickets for the entire ground floor. Back to A-ha, they played many good song selections from a good variety of albums other than their hits which makes them a cool band in my book. I don't know how Morten holds his voice through that whole concert but he did it and then some. I really hope that was not their last show in the US. This was a night I have waited 25 years for! I was too young to catch them the first time around. I have been listening to these awesome guys since Hunting High And Low. It makes me sad that there will no longer be new albums to look forward to. It's such a shame the american audience lost track of this amazing group. They had gone on to release 9 albums in total, and over 40 singles! They performed a bit from each last night. In a way, we were lucky last night to see them in such an intimate setting. They usually perform in much larger venues through out the world. A-Ha have been the soundtrack to my life. I am so happy I got to see them at least once. Their music and lyrics have always touched me so emotionally. Hearing them live last night brought out such feeling of happiness and sadness at the same time. Mortens voice is supreme! What a talent. I was just surprised he didn't speak much to the crowd in between songs. He left that up to Magne. Beautiful backdrop visuals that told a bit of the story to the song being performed. The best part was the photo album montage of their carrear. So touching! I will continue listening and hoping that maybe in the future they might decide to give us one more album! Thank you guys for all your music and giving us the chance to see you live.

The band was at peak form at their May 16th show. Morten sounded incredible, they all looked good, Magne was up to his usual hilarity, and Pal was reserved but gracious. The small venue made for a very intimate experience, and it was rather bittersweet to be there for the band's last show in the U.S. ever. More sweet than bitter, though. My husband who isn't even a fan of the band at all said it was the best concert he's ever been to! So, he went as the supportive good-sport type and came away a true-blue fan, as all people who actually experience this band do. I love them now more than ever and will miss them dearly.

Music is the best time travel machine and A-ha's impeccable performance took us back to the last three decades, in reverse chronological time. Starting with the hits from their NEW album, Foot of the Mountain, and ending with Take on Me, the band delivered the many hits that throughout 25 years of career have made them one of the best. The sound, the delivery, the attitude\u2026 were first rate and they only served to underscore how sad it was that they were playing their last tour...

He was so good I almost couldnt believe it. Mags was funny and let everyone know that we looked great after 24 yrs of not seeing us. LOL. I wish I could have gone both nights. It was truely fantastic. I love you Morten, Pal and Mags forever and ever!!!

How do we say goodbye to an 80's legend? I have not seen my dear sweet Morton in 25 years since they played at the Universal Studios arena and they have proven that time has been their friend. Their newer music was awesome and I plan to buy the latest CD. Magne's personality hasn't changed and he really did great engaging the audience. Pal still has the moves... you go Pal! Morton still melts the hearts of everyone there...I was amazed at all the ladies (in their 40's) swooning like school girls. A-HA, you will be sorely missed and if you are in town again, look me up and we can do lunch!

I had never really listened to a-ha's music collection beside some songs here and there, but when i heard they were retiring and coming to Chicago i had to be there. It was well worth it, with the great visual background that melded with every song, and lead singer hit those really high notes he hits. It was bittersweet too because they haven't been her in a long time and that was it. So i say if you get the chance, see em.

First time seeing "A-ha" live. Been a 'forever fan' and it was wonderful to finally see them. GREAT small venue, and got upclose. Morten's voice was divine I tell you!! Pal is the best guitarist ever!!! and Mags- wow, great keyboards and an equally great smile to match! They were lively and animated. Great screen graphics. From peppy songs to some so moving you wanted to cry.... This band is an amazing creation. They are going out on a high note for sure but we will always have their music to enjoy for eternity........... farewell A-ha!

WOW is all I can say. Not very often will you find a band that sounds better live than on wax, but a-ha is just that. The venue was perfect. There was not a bad seat in the house. The energy in the room was amazing. I felt like I was with new family members for 3 hours. The band sounded great and looked like there were still in their 20

The A-ha "Farewell Tour" was simply outstanding and LONG overdue. 25 years overdue, to be precise, since that is the last time they were touring the United States. The show was a time capsule of sorts, working backwards in time from their most recent album and singles, opening up with "Foot of the Mountain" and finishing with encore with the incredible "Take on Me." This is show was easily in my top 5 concerts of all time. People in the crowd were shedding the occassional tear as well as smiling like little kids. A-ha, please don't let this really be "farewell"!!

Okay being a true aha fan I went to all 3 nights. Each nite was a different experience that I will never forget. Even though they had the same exact setlist for all 3 shows, it was still a great experience. I met people from all over the country ranging from New Jersey to Arengtina! Thursdays show was great! Standing on line since 3pm (they didnt come on till 8:45pm) I was dead center with about 3 rows of people ahead of me. I think I lost 10 pounds dancing so much. Friday I sat and got all of them to sign my cd and got a pic with Morten! WHOO HOO! Sat the place was PACKED! Not one empty seat and the floor was full! It was a great moment because everyone standed and sang take on me & went nuts! My only complaint is that didnt sing train of thought!

I never saw a-ha as a teen and when I heard they were doing a farewell tour in North America I HAD to be there! Flew from Minneapolis to see a-ha and it was worth every cent it took me to get there! No regrets! FABULOUS show! Morten and the guys still have it after 25 years and I now appreciate their vocal talents more now that I have heard them live. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed this show and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I never had a chance to see them before. They were so professional and Morten's voice was still so up for anything. I couldn't have been more impressed with them. My only regret/complaint is that this is their farewell tour. More than anything, I wish I could see them again! I'd give up all the concerts I have planned this year if I could just see them again! They were THAT good!!!!!! Wonderful!

A-ha gave a brilliant performance for their last concert in America. Morten's voice was truly beautiful and inspiring. Mags and Paul were great too. I loved the way Mags interacted with crowd, he has a wonderful sense of humor. The whole band sounded amazing. The visuals added a nice compliment to the music. I think a-ha were really touched by the enthusiasm of the crowd and they seemed to really be feeling the emotions of the occasion. For me, it was one of the best concert experiences I have ever had. I also loved the venue, Club Nokia, for its intimate atmosphere. I had waited a long time to see them perform and they did not disappoint. I will always treasure this performance and keep it in my heart.

I started going to various concerts nearly 24 years ago with seeing a-ha. Still I must say seeing them again in L.A. completely blew me away and these two concerts are now my top two favorite concerts EVER. Somebody needs to talk these guys out of retiring. They are simply too talented to stop making music together and touring. The group has nine amazing albums and so many incredible songs. Seeing them again was such a joy. Thanks so much for coming back to California a-ha! I have my fingers crossed that hopefully someday there will be a Reunion Tour! In the future, I'd also love it if Morten Harket would have a concert tour in N. America.

Have wanted to see A-ha forever. These farewell shows were beyond what I expected. They are very good live and the sound in the club was great. They played for almost 2 hours and the set list was stellar. Very, very impressive A-ha ... Great energy. We will miss you beyond words. Too bad the bulk of America didn't remain with you over the years. They don't know what they are missing!!! Kudos to you ...

I have been waiting over half my life to see A-Ha. The first album was a parting present from my girlfriend as I embarked on a road trip to Florida and the earth moved at that point. Ramdomly surfin the Internet a couple months ago I came across the News that A-Ha was embarking on a tour which included the US. At that point, Chicago was not listed but checking a couple weeks later, Chicago showed up! It was a thrill of a lifetime to hear the songs live that I have literally listened to for almost 25 years. Not too familiar with their new stuff, I throughly enjoyed the anticipation of knowing that my songs were coming. The Scoundrel days songs were fantastic - and then on the Hunting High and Low, too good to be true. The only downer was the omission of three of my faves - Train of Thought, The Blue Sky and Living a Boy's Adventure Tale. Not a single one of my friends know much of anything about the band, but seeing all the people around me singing every word to the songs was unbelievable. Thanks guys for gracing our town with your presence and your music!

Wow. I can't believe how good A-Ha was!!! I think they're even better live than on recording. I don't really know how to describe it, they just played amazing and sang just as great. Everything about the concert was great. I'm a little sad that it's their farewell tour :( I don't know how they didn't get more popular in the U.S. They're amazing!

The old postulate is proven,YET AGAIN,that you must have tunes.A-Ha has them in spades! If the Music industry, whoever that is, ever wanted to figure out what's wrong w/ it,it's the fact that there were 5 times more people @ Ricky Gervais show(who's briliant, btw) than @ Club Nokia. That lack of any kind of "establishment" care is apalling. So,keep HOVA-ing the nation fellas...that is all we need.FUUUJ!!!

a-ha decided to go backwards through their catalog as a setlist. So, while the first couple songs were not bad, there did not provoke much nostalgic excitement. However, when they started playing the more familiar songs, the concert excelled and was quite emotional, even though the band did not interact too much with the crowd. Video displays and naked emotion of the singers showed how they felt. The only issue I had was that a-ha left the stage before their final big songs, not fooling anybody. It was kind of pointless, but, this was only a minor issue.

A-Ha were my first concert when I was 16 and I was thrilled to hear after years of exclusively playing Europe, they were hitting the US again. Morten Harket has one of the sweetest, strong voices to ever grace the radio waves. His falsetto was spot on as was his deeper register, even after two encores and quite possibly the longest note held in pop history. Maggs acts as sort of ambassador to the group, with Morten rarely saying anything. Maggs is an excellent musician and thankfully a ham as every band needs one to stir up the crowd with tasteful guitar playing by Pal. I was especially keen to hear stuff from Scoundrel Days which was absolutely perfect. Somewhat less than perfect was the cheesy retrospective video backdrop which led me to think I was in some kind of bad wedding. It's a shame that this is their last tour. A-ha members will hopefully still ad music to the planet, great melodies and interesting heartfelt synthpop like this will be missed in this blatant world of Ga Ga.

Morten looked gorgeous and they have so many hits that one night was not enough to play all of them... a-ha thank you for 25 years of excellent music, there will never be a band as good as yours..... Gob bless you and your loved ones.... Hope you can gift us a DVD of your farewell tour, it would be great!!!!

They sounded great and as good as I remember from 1986. The new songs sounded fantastic live and I feel sad that this is the last time I'll hear them. They played a good variety of songs in a sort of reverse chronological order, a retrospective from their nearly 30 years of making music. I can only hope they will get back together at some point in the future since I really don't want this to be the end.

When I saw them (A-ha) live in Moscow 9 years ago I thought they sounded great...but man...what just happened in Club Nokia was AAAmazing!! How old is Morten now?... around 50? and still delivers fantastic vocal...It is very sad that we are not going to see them together as a ONE OF THE BEST GROUPS OF THE 80's. They came from cold Norway and melted our hearts!

Great show from three amazing 80's musicians who still have what it takes to rock the house! Morten still has the range to reach all the high notes. Magne, in addition to being a versatile musician, is great with keeping the crowd involved. Morten, Magne, and Paul don't look like they have been at this for 25 years. The only disappointment of the evening, was arriving at Club Nokia, to find out that the general admission tickets I had purchased were way under the balcony and not in front of the stage on the floor like the last show I saw at this venue. That was super lame, but A-HA, more than made up for it by delivering an amazing set that spanned their whole career. I honestly thought that I would never be able to see this band in America.
