Fabulous concert. All the artists are wicked talented and the energy that they give off is absolutely infectious. The lines of international fans who all sang together in Japanese, the headbanging music that got even the most reserved fans to move their feet and arms (if you could because of the crowd), made this concert memorable. Hyde is a phenomenon, not just a singer, and we all went there to bask in his glow for a moment. First saw L'Arc en Ciel at MSG - such a treat to see Vamps at such an intimate location in comparison.

I really like watching VAMPS at Roseland Ballroom because its a pretty small venue (compared to MSG) and you're never really far from the stage & show. However I have 2 big problems with this showing - 1. Why the hell was DJ Sid an opening act? Playing the wrong music - VAMPS is rock band. Nothing Sid played was rock (i heard some hiphop). In fact, he BARELY looked at the audience. He was enjoying his own music, the crowd did not move. He should go work at a club, seriously. AND he threw himself to the crowd & broke a girl's glasses. 2. Killcode was ok but I could barely hear the singer's voice! The instruments were TOO LOUD. SERIOUSLY. I know its rock, but my ears should not be ringing for 2 days afterwards. I thought i was going to lose my hearing because I've never had the ringing before. Anyway - VAMPS was amazing. HYDE, KAZ, & Ju-Ken ( i think that's his name) sure know how to pleaseeeeeeeee a crowd. This is the second time I've seen them live. It was fun, it was great. Totally worth waiting for 4 hours in snow.

They did Roseland justice. Hyde was amazing, the music was amazing and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. My ear is still ringing and I don't care.

Even if J-Rock isn't your scene, VAMPS will catch your ear. Their catalog is equal parts English and Japanese. Tonight's set was almost completely in English. (Though quite a few personal favorites are in Japanese, and weren't played tonight...d'aww.) Their sound harkens to modern American artists like Velvet Revolver, Rob Zombie, bringing a relentlessly energetic sound full of both heavy and catchy riffs. The set was non-stop, banging from one song to the next, with the exception of a couple little breaks to rouse the crowd, and one mellow tune toward the end of the show, before the encore, where Hyde really showed off his true vocal talent. I was with three other friends, two who were fellow fans (and J-rock enthusiasts) and one who didn't know them at all. The latter's reaction was, to me, the most important. And their reaction was one of "pleasant surprise" saying, "I don't know them at all, but they put on one hell of a show." Good first impression! Let VAMPS make an impression on YOU! HYDE and co. for a group of guys in their early to mid 40's they brought a show with just as much bravado as guys half their age. Guess it comes with the territory, being veterans of the music scene. If you do some searching on the web, you'll easily find photos and video clips of Sunday night's performance. See for yourself. Roseland Ballroom is such a great venue for shows. I was surprised to hear rumors of them closing in the near future. The sound was great, the bar staff was obliging, the coat check and bathroom lines moved quickly and efficiently, especially with the volume of people there.

I have more fun at a VAMPS concert than any other. Their music is so energetic and the way the band interacts with the audience gets the place rockin'! I can't WAIT to see them again. I hope I don't have to wait long for their return to New York!!!

The show was overall a decent show. The energy was positive, but it needed a little more energy. I was in the third row in the center and had my own personal space. There was little to no pushing. Sid's set was god-awful. The bass never dropped. Killcode was very impressive. I listened to their CD when I got home. Okay show, but not a train wreck!

This concert was absolutely amazing in every way possible. HYDE is my favorite singer in the world, and to be able to see him live for the second time was incredible. (The first time was during Warped Tour 2009 in CT.) From the second they graced the stage to the very last note, they all gave full energy and top performance. I have never jumped and screamed nonstop for so long in my entire life, and I will definitely continue to see them live every chance I get. HYDE's eyes were glowing (read: GLOWING) in the beginning, which I thought was ridiculously cool. He segued into HUNTING by saying something like, "Are you doing good? I'm not so good... I'm so... HUNGRY!" and then asking, "Who will I eat?" Needless to say, we all went berzerk. ("GOING BERZERK," anyone?) In the beginning of REVOLUTION, they got everyone to shout, "BANG! ON! STOMP, EVERYBODY!" We all had so much fun interacting with them throughout the show, and the resulting atmosphere was positively intoxicating. They played their new songs AHEAD and REPLAY, and some older favorites like LOVE ADDICT and SWEET DREAMS. (I confirmed this with the set list I received from a kind venue guy after the show, who took pity on those of us waiting out back in the rain in hopes of handshakes, if not signatures and photos. I don't blame VAMPS for this, however; the very last venue employees were pretty rude and finally, after a good couple hours((AND after having previously told us VAMPS would be coming out that way, might I add...)), told us the band had left hours ago. We did have the pleasure of meeting the members of Killcode, though, who were quite lovely people.) Toward the end, they brought out a cake for drummer Arimatsu's birthday, and we all sang a heartfelt Happy Birthday to him. Though it's hard to pick a favorite moment, I would have to choose when they played MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION, simply because it was such a nice surprise to hear something I've been listening to and loving even longer than VAMPS itself. If I hadn't before that moment, I definitely lost it then. (In the best way possible!) All in all, Sunday night was a night that I will remember fondly for years to come.

I've been to quite a few concerts and I have to say VAMPS did a fantastic job. The setlist was great, they had a good stage presence, they really got the crowd going, and of course, their musicianship was fantastic. I definitely recommend checking out VAMPS if you get the chance. As far as the venue goes, however, the Roseland staff were some of the most disorganized and rude staff members I have ever dealt with. I've never seen staff handle (or rather, mishandle) a concert crowd in such a way, nor talk to them in such a way either, and am frankly quite glad I'll never have to see VAMPS there again.

It was an amazing show, despite waiting for about 9 hours in the freezing cold. It was all worth it. This was my first time seeing Vamps. I am huge fan of Hyde. I was so close to him. Everyone was singing along and dancing. It was so intense and It was amazing how the staff brought out a cake and everyone was singing Happy Birthday to Arimatsu. It was great. I miss them so much now.

It was my first time at a rock concert. The music was so loud I though my e drums were going to burst! Every beat was like a knock on my heart. It was mesmerizing the moment I saw Hyde for the fist time. Even though I was far in the middle of the crowd but I was happy to have come this concert. I'll never forget it.

That meet and greet thing wasnt that special, too many of the fans trying to push and rush to see them, this is my first time that ive ever met hyde but it was too fast to even chat with them and not only that the fans are too much desperate to be groupies to this band while im like the real fan of them but not crazy like them anyway its not about mee but the gaurds are treating everyone like a concentration camp which i totally dont blame them its their job and all its all the fans problem and thats the worst experience night that ive ever been to The bartender was very nice and treating me awesomel I tip them as well i had a good time at the bar more than that concert thank you

VAMPS --> 5 stars Roseland - absolutely terrible. Management - a little above Roseland, but still terrible. We were ill informed about the VIP and meet and greet package. No information whatsoever. The Roseland bouncers kept insisting that the VIP ticket holders did not get a meet and greet - that the VIP ticket holders had to purchase a meet and greet package in addition to their VIP ticket. What? Even when we showed the ticketmaster page that stated VIP includes meet and greet - they said that it didn't matter. Nevertheless, they got the message. Anyways, there was a bouncer that kept threatening to gets fans arrested and thrown out because of the questions they were asking. Real mature bro. -- This was my first VAMPS concert. I'm going to be very cautious about purchasing another VIP package in the future if they tour management cannot get their crap together. Allegedly, they sold too many Meet and greet and VIP packages - thus piling together the meet and greet and VIP folks together. What a bunch of crap.
