John Fogerty / ZZ Top

I didnt realize how big the venue was but the concert was amazing.... and zz like always rocked it out in style.

What a great show! It was awesome to see John Fogerty jamming it out with his kids!! Talents in their own right!

John fogarty did a great show. ZZ Top is always great. Can t go wrong with this music. Parking lot really sucked. Sat for over an hour to get out after the concert

ZZ Top opened the show and blew the roof off. They haven't lost anything since I last saw them in "91 at the Brendon Byrne Area, in fact they've gotten more powerful and polished over the years. Fantastic performance and videos. After about a 30 minute intermission John Fogerty came out and nailed a great, about 90 minute, set. Hadn't seen him in concert before, and felt it took a little while to ramp it up, but after Billy Gibbons came out to join him in two of his new songs his show exploded thru to the end ' especially with the run of Creedence hits with,accompanying videos, all the way to the Proud Mary finale'. Can't remember seeing a more enjoyable show. Would see it again.

All hits played. Still energetic considering the age of these guys. Was hoping for more John and Billy playing together. Paid for 'VIP' but it was a scam. Waste of money. I got nothing.

i like the performing acts but the sound was awful I don't know who to blame but it really sucked

I can't believe! I had never seen either of these bands. John Fogerty and both of his Sons and the rest of this allstar band were full of talent including the horn section. ZZTop such a awesome band with there act. Heavy guitars were great and the classic old songs ( jesus left Chicago)

This concert was extremely satisfying. I have never seen either band. ZZ was great. and John Fogarty played all his hits from way back. We had a great time.

Went to the John Fogerty / ZZ Top concert on Sunday night May 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena ! I haven't seen John in maybe 5 - 6 years. What made this show so special, was this time around he has his Son Playing Guitar right along side with his Dad> And the Kid is Great ! It was the 50 Anniversary of John's First Concert and he is playing with the same original 50 year old AMP and Guitar ! Besides all that the Next day was John's 73rd Birthday. and ZZ Top brought him back onstage with a Birthday Cake and we all sang Happy Birthday John Fogerty ! Then Billy Gibbons and John jammed to the old song "16 Tons" ! Just Great !

John Fogerty played a fast paced 90 minute show. His energy level was awesome. He also introduced his 2 sons; very talented. On the other hand, I was disappointed with ZZ Top. They only played 60 minutes. The 3 instruments overpowered the vocals.

John Fogerty was awesome!!! ZZ Top was good. Both played for about hour and half. That was great! Well worth it.

The warm up band was a waste of time and he had his sound system cranked up to distortion John Fogerty was very good. Covered a lot of memorable songs ZZ top sound system cranked up to distortion and it was hard to hear the singers over the distortion.

John played for LONGER than ZZTop! He stole the show! ZZTop did the bare minimum. John is a true entertainer!

Fun concert. Nice small venue with great acoustics. Crowd was fun. Worth the trip from PA.

John Fogerty commanded the stage for 1 1/2 hours. During that time he rocked the house completely. Pyrotechnics, streamers and confetti flew during the show. He covered all the bases. ZZ Top started slow and built up to a great finish.

John Fogerty was awesome! ZZ Top was a disappointment. This is the third time I ve seen them and they play for an hour and five minutes with it an encore. This will be my last time seeing them! Not worth it for the money that you pay to see these bands.

it was a great night john took the show zztop sounded good but held back alot of special effects of which you was exspecting to see.john did alot of hits honored the troops made ya wanna keep rockin thanks great job

John Fogerty was amazing! So full of energy fir a 73 year old!! ZZTOP whom I have seen several times stopped their show short?? Kinda weird no encores or anything!

Fogerty is always great. But to see Billy and Dusty kick it up a notch made it that much sweeter.

John Fogerty came out first and it was an explosive hard core energetic show from the start to finish I would definitely go again. He just doesn t age. I was a little disappointed in zz topp it seemed like they really slowed the pace on the songs but the guitar playing was loud and good. My opinion John Fogerty was the BEST

You can't beat the classics, so don't even try. ZZ Top capped things off real good to set the tone for the evening, and then comes John Fogerty with such a commanding stage presence, pyro, confetti, a brass section in the middle of the crowd, the whole nine yards. All the band members had their time to shine, and boy did they shine bright!!! Should John Fogerty perform on the PNC stage again, I'm there!!!

I am glad i purchased the last golden ticket in the front row. It was just calling my name! These fella's must have found my time capsule, opened it, and jumped in for four hours with me - just mesmerizing, lost in time! Mmm Mmm Mmm! Best ticket I've ever purchased! Along with soooo many associated memories, my "go-to" workout music too. And just today, i see on u-tube, Motorcycle Rock Songs - Creedence & ZZ Top - 2018 ... about an hour! Perfect for workout! I'm happy! :)

zz top is just getting better with age. this is really a must see concert; they're expressive and fun onstage. and of course the musicality is 5 star. john fogerty is way more of a rock star than i ever imagined. he's really energetic, and he has pyros at his show. i never thought i'd see fire shooting into the sky at a john fogerty concert. the venue sucks tho. no signs to tell u where to go and the bathrooms are antiquated. its definitely time for a renovation over there. if u buy any bottled drinks, they take the cap before they serve the drink, so stuff is constantly spilling everywhere. totally disgusting. for what i paid to get into that concert i wanted my bottle cap.

We had great seats for this show. The problem was not with the artists but with the venue. The sound system was terrible for such a concert! ZZ Top was OK and I was glad to finally see them, but the sound was like listening to them underwater. Too much bottom end, too loud, and no clarity. This made the event almost unlistenable. PNC Arena really needs to upgrade the facility and spend some money on a good sound and video system. They are not up to current standards for a rock concert. John Fogerty wasn't as loud and sounded somewhat better, but his show also suffered from the inadequate audio mix in the arena.

Let me start out by saying that I've been to a lot of concerts over the last 46 years. I'm a rock and roller at heart and prefer it loud and fast with a lot of energy. That said, I also enjoy different genre's as well. Anyway, when I saw the tour I thought "I've seen ZZ but never Fogerty. I know all the CCR songs as well as a few Fogerty solo songs so.. why not..." ZZ was my insurance and Fogerty was my risk. Well, every once in a while you get much more than you bargained for. Saturday night at PNC was one of those moments for me. ZZ started the show and Fogerty closed. ZZ was OK but Fogerty, well, let me just say that from song 1 through 26 the smile never came off my face. His voice is still there. His energy is as well. The best compliment I can pay JF is to say that I would go to see him again in a heartbeat! If you get the chance you should go too! I promise you won't regret it. Thanks for great night of music John!

Great show!!! The rain didn't damper us or the performances!!

I am a John Fogerty and ZZTOP fan. I was disappointed with the sound system at PNC as it as way too loud which distorted much of ZZTOP's setlist until it was toned down juat before their encore starting with sharp dressed man for the next 4 songs, which was terrific. They played 14 songs. Then John Fogerty came out on fire, Starting with traveling Band, 12 of the 24 songs played were from the Creedence era. In case you don't know, he has 2 sons playing in the band and they are fantastic, a chip off the old block. Tyler sang 'good golly miss molly' and Psycho (a sonics song) and Shane plays a mean guitar. Another highlight was John and Billy Gibbons guitar dueling and singing to a song called 'Holy grail' and ' bad case of loving you'. The next surprise was some hometown new orleans music called 'toot toot' with brass and a marching band down the isle. It was just a fun and uplifting show. At 73 John just keeps on chooglin.

John Fogerty put on a great show and so did ZZ Top. It was great to see all the Creedence Clearwater hits.

I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY JOHN HAD TOP BILL UNTIL AFTER THE SHOW. UNBELIEVABLE SHOW. JOHN AT HIS BEST, DON'T MISS THIS ONE.

The concert was great. Both shows the performers put on excellent performances playing all their favorites except: cheap sunglasses and Suzi Q. Their voices were good compared to others their age and the crowd, almost a sell - out was respectful and charged up. The bottom line, Nancy G was smiling

The lead off singer was alright. I didn't realize that there were 3 bands. John Fogerty really rocked the house and had his sons with him on stage. Wish he would have played longer. ZZ Top was ZZ Top. Their sound hasn't changed one bit and they were GREAT! Loved the concert, the venue, the food and the high security. This venue really knows how to hold a concert.

The ad and tickets said Fogerty / ZZTOP which I took to mean the order they would appear on stage. Duh! We drove 8 hrs and missed some of ZZTOP due to them going on 1st. Argh! Other than that disappointment the show was excellent by both headliners and worth the tickets from trustworthy Ticketmaster via Live Nation, thedrive, and the motel. The venue itself was fine; we just didn t appreciate having to purchase bottled water there and then be told to pour it into plastic cups before we could find our seats. VIP parking I purchased was good. Helped us two sixty year olds to get to the Pavilion easier. Lol. Thanks for the chance to review.

Concert was excellent Fogerty did not disappoint. Still rockin out at 73. ZZ also. Venue needs major upgrade on facilities and nice Jumbotron for lawn folks, but this night on the lawn was a beautiful night.

Awesome show Billy Gibbons and Fogerty rock hard. Never a dull moment keep on keeping on.

Bands were awesome! Song list was great! Both bands played their hits, plus new music too.

The concert was held at CMAC, the venue is beautiful. But the price to park $10 and for food and beverage is a little outrageous. $6.00 for a 4x4 inch piece of undercooked pizza and $4 for a bottle of water. I could buy a case of water $6. The beer and wine was over $10 apiece. They got you because you have no other choice. Now for the concert review, we thought that ZZ Top would be first up by the way it was billed but John Fogerty played first. Now for a man in his seventies, he still put on a Hell of a show. Now he couldn t play everything we wanted to hear but what songs he did played rocked. He had his two sons with him and they didn t disappoint. Great guitar player and lead vocals. Then came ZZ Top. I have seen them about four time previously. First time in 1980. They played many of their songs way too slow and you couldn t always hear Billy singing. Not sure if it was the microphone or Billy just not into it. When Dusty sang you could hear him fine. And Frank, he looked like he didn t even want to be there. Head down and showing no emotion. They picked it up on a few songs but most seemed very slow. I understand they are up there in the years and time takes a toll on all of us. So with that being said - All in all it was a good show but not the best I had ever been to. John Fogerty rated A ZZ Top rated C Maybe it was just an off night for the little ol band from Texas. I will give them a pass.

At this concert John Fogerty came on before ZZ Top. A fellow concert goer told me John played 26 songs. I hadn't been counting, but I probably knew 20 of them. ZZ Top played far less songs. They mostly played their hits (old ZZ Top) which I was happy about. Each band did one encore. ZZ Top's encore was two songs, La Grange and Tush. Billy Gibbons did come out while John was on and played a collaboration song they had written together. Mutual respect of each band for the other was apparent. People drinking and using combustibles seemed to be more vocal showing their enjoyment of the show. At this point I'd like to mention that I had a general lawn seat on the grassy hill that would be considered nose bleed seats if it were an indoor venue, and that it sprinkled off and on throughout the entire show. I mention this only to explain my venue rating. Lawn chairs were allowed although I only brought an umbrella. Expect a bit of a hike once at the venue parking lot, and to be wanded with a metal detector before entry.

The CMAC venue is awesome. Darien Lake needs to study their parking tactics thoroughly and have them permanently etched in their brains. The seats had leg room, plenty of food and drink. CMAC is great for a concert. John Fogerty was awesome all the way around. ZZ Top played like crap and their sound guy had to have been drunk, sleeping or simply didn't show up. ZZ Top was VERY disappointing. Pitiful would be more accurate. Ryan Kinder's performance was very good as was the female singer he had with him. I never heard of him before that show.

This was the second time that I have seen John Fogerty live and it was great. He did mostly CCR songs with a few of his solo hits plus a medley of songs as a tribute to New Orleans. At 73 he still rocks

What a great night they provided music was out of this world song after song just unforgetable both group just majeastik.

Fogerty never stopped for the full 1 1/2 hours he played.. all the favorites. His band is great, especially son Sean and drummer. ZZ Top was good...still the same hard driver riffs they are known for Loved the new song Holy Grail collaboration with Fogerty and Gibbons, should do more.

John fogerty is the best, especially when playing a split venue. He plays all the great songs back back. He even said ok let's make believe I left the stage for five minutes and I just came back! Then went straight into the encores!!!!!!!!

Very possible the best ever show in some 50 years attending concerts. Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) was my third ever show. This 17th time I've seen John Fogerty solo. Always a great show, but this one really stood out. I'd maybe remove one cover song (that I believe almost everyone else loves and sub in Mystic Highway, Gunslinger, Green River, Lodi, It Came Out Of The Sky and Bootleg) but John and band excelled throughout. The arrangements and pacing of some CCR songs mirrored the originals and this live version of my fave CCR/ John tune, Up Around The Bend, sounded the best live of any show I attended and/ or recording I've heard. And then you add in ZZ Top. I never saw them live. They played well. When you never own any vinyl of a band, it always becomes rather interesting to learn how much of their music you know from listening to the FM radio stations of days passed. I knew and enjoyed the music and they closed with my fave song they recorded. It was a good pairing and enjoyed Gibbons joining Fogerty on their new song, The Holy Grail.

John Fogerty can still bring the goods! I saw him here at this same venue a couple of years ago with Jackson Browne, and he and his band were fantastic. John is still in good voice, can still play, and his band rocked! It's a virtual musical tour of Credence Clearwater's greatest hits, which John wrote. There were two songs that were newer, a song he co-wrote with Brad Paisley and another new one that I didn't catch the name of. Fogerty traded lead licks on a couple of numbers with his son Shane, and another son came out and sang with him. He really looked like he was having fun up there. What else do you want from a Classic Rock performer. He was not simply going through the motions. It started drizzling after John's set, so we did not stay for ZZ Top. No matter how good they might have been, they were not going to top Fogerty on this night!

ZZ Top was as rock solid as ever, but would have loved to hear more songs from them. It was fantastic live music. And even though it was ZZ I was there to hear, it was John Fogerty who made the show memorable. His band, and the multitude of leads and solos, created one of my top ten most memorable concerts to date. His son, Shane, on lead guitar, and his daughter coming on stage to present him a birthday gift made the show feel very personal. All in all, I would have spent double the money to hear them again.

ZZ Top totally takes you back through a well-played, storied musical history. They make it seem effortless. Fogerty still has a great voice, and runs a tight, well structured set of classic tunes. Jones Beach Amphitheater and every member of their AMAZING, FRIENDLY staff are guaranteed to make your Concert experience a safe, fun-filled, memorable experience. They treat you like family!!!

ZZ TOP could of been better. The sound guy had band to loud vocals were hard to hear and understand. But you sure could see how tight the band was . Would like to see them again and hope they have the vocals better

Great venue! Never saw ZZ Top before but they still can play & sing to get the crowd on its feet! Fogerty still maintains his high stage spirit & stellar performance level!!

Really enjoyed the John Fogerty and ZZ Top concert. Even in the extreme heat of St. Louis both bands performed long sets and played most of their popular songs. The guitar work from both bands was exceptional. Fogerty is complemented with a group of very talented musicians including a brass band, an outstanding drummer and keyboardist. It was great to see Billy Gibbons and John Fogerty play together - 2 rock guitarist legends on one stage!

An amazing show! ZZ Top was just awesome. John Fogerty has an amazing amount of energy and he sings loud with a heavy vocal load, which is amazing at his age.

The show was a wonderfully done show. The only thing that could be done to change would be taking the opening act out. ZZ top and John Fogerty have enough to put on a 4 hour show without needing an opening act.

How many people do you know that dressed up like Billy Gibbons and got a picture with the band???? You know at least one person now. This was an incredibly surreal experience. Great concert. Awesome time.

BankPlus Amphitheater is a great place to see your favorite musicians because the open air acoustics are very good. There were more people at this show than any other I have seen at Snowden Grove. John Fogerty started it off and played many of his greatest hits. His voice is still strong and his guitar playing still impressive. ZZ Top came out next and had the crowd on their feet immediately. They played most of their big hits from the 70's and 80's and few other old classics like "16 Tons" I wish they had all gotten on stage together for at least one song as they did at other venues. But despite that, it was one of the best shows I have seen this year.

This was a great show! Both have a long history of excellent music!

Johns set was energetic and fun. It s witnessing rock & roll history when he performs all those classic CCR tunes. His solo catalogue is well represented and his voice is in great form. Hard to believe he s in his 70 s! I d go see him anytime he s in the area. I can t recommend John Fogerty enough.

John fogerty put on a awesome show reminded me so much of ccr would enjoy seeing him again!! To be honest zz top was just ok not great not bad event staff and parking left a little to be desired ticket entrance way to slow they have some work to do in this area

I have been listening to both of these bands for the past 45 years (ever since I was 11) this was the first time I have seen them in concert was it worth the wait? yes! I hope to see them again soon!

ZZ Top was lazy. Fogerty and his band were off the charts start to finish. Streamers, flames, confetti, great screen effects and killer guitar, vocals, horns... AWESOME!!!

Absolute best show I ve attended in a very long time. Venue looked very nice, modern, and clean as well compared to past years. 10/10.

A fantastic concert from beginning to end. Every song rang true. Could have watched both bands for hours and hours

We had GREAT seats, 3rd Row Center. That is a rarity as most of these tickets are long gone and sold through early ticket sales. WHY IS THAT? Purchasing Tickets to any event any more is a racket! Why doesn t Ticketmaster do something about it? It s the Illuminati! Awesome Show though as Fogerty was the real artist and he played with his son. ZZTOP were definite entertainers but sounded the same on every song. They looked cute with their getup beards & hats on... they kinda looked like clowns doing their instep act with guitars, Lol!! Fogerty had the talent & style. Each song had a different nuance of time tested material but he played NEW stuff too. Each song brought on a different guitar.... And he told stories of his early days! John Fogerty was also an incredible entertainer! All in All it was unforgettable! Neither artist/band varied much from their typical setlist per Setlist.com .

John Fogerty is my favorite musician of all time, so it really didn t matter who opened for him. I only hope I m half as active at 73 as he is. The show was incredible and he rolled through the hits with enough little wrinkles to keep everything fresh. My 9-year-old son loved it too.

All the hits from John Fogerty and supporting musicians including his son were outstanding. Second time seeing ZZ Top, first with video support behind musicians. Love this band.

John Fogerty and ZZ Top concert was awesome, even the opening act Ryan Kinder rocked the house. Highly recommend seeing the Blues and Bayou Tour.

Expected Z Z Top to be the headliner - and they were excellent; however, John Fogerty was amazing! He had a great show - he s still got it! Definitely worth seeing!!! Way to go, John!!!!

Did not know what to expect but was wowed by the concert. Lighting, special effects and sound was great. John with his sons and band were awesome. They played all of my favorite songs. Highly recommend this concert to John Fogerty fans.

Great show with ZZ Top opening they knocked out all their hits. John Fogerty took the stage and owned it. From the beginning to the end he did not disappoint. John on stage with his two sons was a treat.

First, the pavilion. One of the best I have been to and I ve been to plenty. From the parking, to the friendly workers, to efficient (albeit expensive) concessions, and a comfortable concert experience with great sound all was top notch. As to the concert, after a brief solo act ZZ Top came out. But, their set was made up of some of their lesser known songs, at least until the last 10 minutes of it. The instruments also drowned out a lot of the singing. Just wasn t impressed. Thankfully, Fogerty made up for that and then some. He covered virtually every one of his CCR era hits. The guitar work was spot on but also did not drown his singing out. He and his band were exceedingly tight and obviously well-rehearsed. Having his talented sons join him was also a highlight. He also didn t miss a beat, never took a break and really seemed to be enjoying himself. I should have half his energy when I m in my 70s! In short, Fogerty was great

ZZ Top and John Fogerty were awesome. You have got to see Billy and John play a couple together in there set. Venue was good but I recommend that the VIP Meet and Greets get to enter in a separate line to get through security. It was a lengthy wait standing at the gate to get in. Loved the show as it did not disappoint. Must see them again after this. Three hours of exhausting rock and roll !!! I loved it.

John Fogerty still has it at 72...lots if energy ...excellent guitarist....and the voice in on the money.....on the other hand ZZ Top was a little off....always good but....not at their best that night

Both bands still can tackle their classic songs with the same energy and voice as they did the first time around! All of the backup video screens had great graphics!

Seen many classic rock bands recently. ZZ TOP was the best by far. Coupled with John Fogerty this is a must see show

Stage and seating were just ok. Really a hot day. Getting in was a complete debacle. I expect the 3K+ people waiting to get in was what delayed the start of the concert. Waiting on such a hot day was exhausting - we were really disgusted. John Fogarty was sterling and met every expectation. Then we WAITED 45 minutes for ZZ Top who sounded off of their game. We left early with raw feelings about the whole thing. Oh. And when did it become acceptable for people to stand for most of the concert?

Legendary Rockers John Fogerty and ZZ Top!!! He continually pulls off performances that make you glad you were there the first time around!!! Just goes to prove, age is simply a number!!!!!!

Hard to believe he is 73, Z Z Top was just okay actually

We believed the event started at 7 with Fogerty followed by ZZTOP. We were misled. An opening band came on at 7 in the 97 degree heat. Fogerty came on and was superb. ZZTOP didn't make their entrance until 10:05. Ugh! Love em but just too late and too hot... On top of that, getting in the event was terrible. Sadly seemed like they were newbies doing it. As were some of the vendors who ran out of beverages!

Would like to know the head count for this show. All this crowd was funneled through only 10 gates. The wait was too long. Once in, no complaints.

Fogerty was great and had his sons playing with him, which added a nice, personal touch. He also included stories of his family. ZZ Top was amazing as always and had us all dancing and singing along. Both acts played everything a fan would want to hear, and it was really fun to hear them play together! Treasure Island's amphitheater is very open with no shade! Plan accordingly when it's a hot day! Great sound, and short lines for concessions, though!

First time for each band and I certainly was not disappointed.

CCR was a favorite in the past - and the music never died - like the guitar playing of ZZ Top, was great to listen to music from the past & more recent. The entire process was smooth, from getting the tickets, parking, finding our seats and exiting the parking area. Great entertainment for the evening!

Great sound, both bands sounded awesome! We love the new seating areas and beverage station inside the seating area. Also liked that the smokers were separated from the rest of us. Kudos on lowering the water prices and the fans with misters!!

John Fogarty was great, loved his portion of the show. Zz Top was not so great. Seats are too level, hard for audience to see.

John Fogerty can still sing like he is 20 years old. He played lead guitar on almost every song and sounded fantastic. ZZ Top started a touch slow but found the groove pretty quickly and played through the heat. The new Treasure Island amphitheater was good. The lines to get into the gate were too long, but the new permanent seats were fine and the beer and toilet lines were sufficient.
