Aaron Neville turned 77 last month, and his voice may not be quite as fine as it was when I first heart him in the 1970s, but he is still at the top of his form. His band was superb, and they made a topnotch quintet. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band provided opening entertainment, and they were just as good as the main show. What a treat to have such genuine New Orleans music right here in Montgomery, Alabama, and especially during the peak of Mardi Gras season! Big thanks to whomever arranged this show.

This was the greatest of shows. We saw the Quintet on the night of the 15th of September as well as on the night of the 16th. Aaron still has the golden voice that he has always had and Charley get better on the Horn every time we see him. It was an awesome experience. We cant wait until the next one. WoW, true blessings each and every one of them, each performed with their gifted talents from their hearts and can tell they love it, were having fun sharing with all, smiling, dancing, singing. Love how they each get a chance to share individually thru out the evening. First time ever visiting The House of Blues Houston and Aaron Neville and his Quintet Featuring Charles Neville with his Sax made it more than could ever imagine. Made a few new friends there and they all also enjoyed very much. We all danced and sang right along with them. Would most definately love to hear them live again anytime. Letting all our world know how God has blessed this world with such amazing gifted talents so they too can bless all our world in sharing the love of music and their love to perform for all ;D For anyone who has not had the blessing of hearing them live in person, trust me y'all truly do not wanna miss out on y'all blessings, a great gift to share, invite a friend, family, all ;D

Aaron Neville & the whole band were amazing! I enjoyed the combination of Christmas music with the pop songs. I especially apprecited the fact that he freely expressed his faith in God and his concern for humanity. My family and I will be there when he returns, God willing. Charles and the rest of the band were also wonderful! They are all very talented are true artists and the music selection was also very impressive and broad ranged. Keep up the great work guys! Aaron still has the most beautiful voice! The whole band was great. We had so much fun watching the other band members reactions to Charles on that sax. We could tell they were all having a great time on that stage & it carried over into the audience.

This was our first visit to the House of Blues, and we loved every part of it (except for the hard seats). The food and service were terrific, with particular thanks to our server,Deric. Aaron Neville was even better than the last time we saw him, and his brother Charles brought tears (and smiles) with his mastery of the saxaphone. The entire quartet kept things alive throughout the show. It was one of those performances that we hated to see end.

This is the 3rd Christmas season that we went to the Aaron Neville holiday & hits concert. And again, he did not let us down. At 77 years old, he was amazing just as he was many years ago. With Aaron Neville you know what your in four. Aaron has a unique and amazing voice. His delivery of the songs invites the audience to let go of your worries and enjoy the music. I love his message of peace and love throughout the world. The chemistry of his band is a wonderful blend of jazz, pop, and blues. Their is only one Aaron Neville. On the other side, the Heymann Performing Arts Center is way past due for a fix up. Everything is old. Not vintage.... OLD. The audience around us were too very distracting with texts, facebook updates, and just plain old LOUD talking during the show. The Arts Center and some of the audience members definitely detracted from the show.

Aaron was on our bucket list to see. We go to 10-15 concerts a year and have seen all the greats and Aaron Neville would be top 3. His voice is still awesome. The quintet with his brother is top notch as well. Would recommend to anyone and everyone to see him sing. It was a fun evening with many memories.

Aaron's concert was outstanding. He sang both old and new songs as well as big hits and Christmas songs. He sang for over two hours giving the audience an unforgettable experience. The audience were dancing in their seats and some even were dancing in the aisles. The Civic theater is a small venue about 300 seats (including a balcony) just great for a intimate concert.

What a show. Mr. Neville brought back the memories from the past and his voice has not changed. Would see his concert again. We were surprised by Aaron Neville meeting everyone after the show in the lobby to sign CD's and have photos taken, you don't see that at concerts. Great Show.

Aaron Neville and his backup jazz quintet provide a well paced mix of classic Neville, blues, jazz and do-wop style songs you will know like Ain't No Sunshine and Bird on a Wire. Still has that beautiful high flexible voice. Great rendition of Take the A Train by His musical team. Great sax, drummer, keyboard etc. Great venue and evening. Getting him in an intimate venue is great.

Aaron Neville s performance at the Fitz on Dec. 1st was awesome. The show started on time; which is a sign of professionalism. The band was great and Aaron proved to be one of the great performers of all time. His voice is magnificent and he sings the songs in person just like the recordings. I've been an admirer of his music for over 40 years and finally had a chance to enjoy him in person. Watching Aaron perform made me understand the man behind the voice. Aaron is very passionate - it's in his voice and face and I'm sure what he sings comes from his heart. I will go to see him perform live again and again as many times as I can.

The band started ON TIME and played until the concert was over. Aaron came and went during the concert with brief breaks but it was EXACTLY how a concert should be and he was FABULOUS....He signed he book after for those who wanted to buy but the concert was ALL about the music and they definitely delivered. We had first row center seats to this show and it was not a disappointment. Aaron and his quintet (made up in part by his amazing brother Charles on the saxophone) sang non stop for almost 2 hours. He performed quite a few numbers from his upcoming "do wop" style album but also sprinkled in many of his own hits from throughout the years. Charles and the band did several jazz numbers which highlighted Charles' amazing saxophone skills. Aaron even took a few requests from the crowd which isn't something often seen in a concert of this sort. This was our first time at this venue but hopefully not the last. Very comfortable, the volunteers were very friendly and helpful and the food and drink prices were very reasonable. After the concert we got to meet Aaron and take a picture and get an autograph on his poetry book. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening.

An excellent show! The small venue facilitated an intimate show between Aaron's six man band and the sold out crowd. The sound and lights supported the artist and his music, not the other way around as has become popular with recent music acts. The band was extremely accomplished and tight,. Sorry Aaron, but my wife thought Charles on sax "was the coolest one up there." Aaron performed many of his hits - "Ain't No Sunshine", "Don't Take Away my Heaven", "Amazing Grace", "It Feels Like Rain", and a New Orleans NFL version of "When The Saints Go Marching In". I personally would have liked to have heard "Louisiana 1927" and "Angola Bound", but with a two hour set for only $35 / seat I can't complain. The music had patrons, young and old, swaying in their seats and dancing in the aisles. Standing ovations were common place as attendees showed thier apprecaiteion for Aaron and his music. All I can say is, "Aaron, come back to St Louis soon!"

Aaron Neville was the best concert I've been to in over 10 years and I go to concerts on a regular basis. He didn't use killing time tactics like telling boring jokes or random stories....he came out singing and only stopped for water and kept the audience entertained. His choice of songs was excellent, his band was outstanding!!! I recommend that you treat yourself at least once.

As always, Aaron delivered a fantastic night of music..ranging from classic pop songs , to beautiful ballads to New Orleans blues. It was the seventh performance of his I have attended, so you know I am a fan! Each time he has a different approach. From Duo, which was just Aaron and his genius piano player John, to a stage with most of the Neville brothers present, every show has been an evening of joy. The Dirty Dozen Brass band provided a virtuoso non-stop wall of funky brass arrangements. It was difficult to stay seated when the rhythm got going. t The next morning I was blessed to spend a few minutes with Aaron as he stepped off the elevator in our hotel. He was so pleasant and left me with a photo I will treasure. .

As always, Aaron Neville will not disappoint, in fact, at some point you could not believe a human was making the noises coming through the microphone! The venue is perfect for him, intimate without a "bad" seat. The service could have been better but all in all, I would go back.

Aaron Neville was fantastic and sang not only Christmas songs, but many of his hit songs from the past 50 years! His voice is still golden and his range is still amazing. The band was great and backed him up really well. BB Kings is always a really good place to see some first rate artists in an intimate setting. He truly put on an excellent show!

Venue was not good. Setup terrible. Food poor. Neville was decent- but backing band was not what I expected. Thought someone of his caliber would have better. Especially the guitarist-who was so out of the rhythm every time he had a solo it was just annoying. Would not go back.

The band was awesome and the man can sing!! Good seats where we could see and get out if needed! Great mix on band and vocals, you could hear the words clearly and it wasn't to loud or to soft!! Great time!!

Aaron Neville and his Quintet were better than I expected, and the crowd was absolutely fantastic! Great energy and beautiful music from Aaron and his boys. Can't believe he can still bring the music at his age. The only thing he's missing is some of his falsetto, but the music was still excellent! Everyone in our party loved it and were happy we made it to the show!

Amazing show! I have loved Aaron Neville forever but was so happy to introduce my friends to him. I only have 2 of his albums "the Grand Tour" and " Tattooed Heart" so I wish he would have sang more songs I was familiar with. However, the acknowledgment he gives to his band is amazing. His voice is a gift from God. Love him! He is amazing!

What an amazing experience in the Sierras! Aaron Neville still has it...he is a grand master! He was as captivating as ever, taking us from his doo-wop melody, down to New Orleans, through jazz and soul classics. His performance showcased his beautiful voice and incredible range. There was really something for everyone in this wonderful performance. Charles Neville was excellent on the horn, and the other musicians were top notch as well. The crowd was seated and relatively quiet, taking in the magnificent show. Wish that more people could have witnessed this musical delight! Thanks Aaron....we love you and hope you come back soon!

Aaron Neville has the most drop-dead-gorgeous voice of all the planet, of all time! Charles Neville and the band played one stunning song after another--no breaks, no chit-chat, no end to the New Orleans style party. I brought close friends who had never seen Aaron Neville or Charles Neville and they were so taken by the music Aaron even danced a little!) that they were in pursuit of his cd's the next morning. If you ever have an opportunity to see these greatest-of-our-time musicians, jump on tickets. Absolutely stunning!!

Mr. Neville and his band never stopped. They played for an hour and a half without even taking a break. You can tell he loves performing as much as his fans love to hear his music. This show was one of the best presents my wife and I ever gave each other.

The concert was great. It wasn't interrupted by lots of talking. Aaron sang song after song for 90 minutes. Golden Nugget in Lake Charles isn't really dressed up for a large act but it was OK.

We had excellent seats - Section B - Row 9. The entire stage was very visible to us. Aaron Neville's band was entertaining - in particular, the drummer. In fact, my girls were able to get a picture with him after the concert. Aaron Neville's first song was a little shakey at first, but he appeared to adjust the little sound box on his person, and things were better after that. I'm guessing that is what it was. We loved all his songs - loved his tribute to Louisiana and the Saints. He played for an hour and a half - which was good, but you know we always want more. Definitely thought we got our money's worth and plus some. Also, the floor ushers were great -- there were a few patrons that kept standing and dancing right up at the front and they would get them to settle down. LOL.

If you wanted to know what a professional looks like on stage whose voice has held its beauty and uniqueness over 50 years....Aaron Neville is that man. He came on stage said hello and sang hit after hit with almost no conversation. His band was flawless as musicians and as back-up singers. They played from one song to the next wit no interruptions. I could say more but it would be superfluous . This was sone of the most enjoyable concerts I have ever been seen. If you get a chance to see this man live go and enjoy. I bought the tickets as a present for my wife. I got a greater present at a great price and enjoyed the concert as much as she did. Thank you Golden Nugget.

One of the best concert I have been to. His voice and some of those oldie songs was right on target. The sound was awesome. It's been a while when I heard the ladies screaming.When he sang 1927 or Louisiana, the crowd was screaming and clapping. I would see him again and bring a friend. This concert was awesome. You still got it Mr. Neville.

The concert was amazing. My wife is a big Aaron Neville fan, so I surprised her to this concert. It was great from start to finish. The concert started on time and the brother didn't take a break, like you see at most concerts. He and his group sand for the entire 1.5 hours. The music was good. We had a taste of some of his newest hits and he took us back to old school. He's a great performer.

I saw Aaron Neville (along with his brothers) approximately 10 years ago and that show was great! Moving forward to the 4/15/16 concert I was equally amazed at how Aaron has kept himself up. I was also amazed that he was still able to hit those Aaron Neville famous notes at his age. In all, my wife and I thought the concert was awesome, and we felt that he wanted to make sure that everyone in the audience was thoroughly entertained as he went through each song. Lastly, the concert lasted approximately 90 minutes; and was well worth the cost of admission for a man who can still "Tell It Like It Is."

I would recommend this show to everyone I know. My older siblings and I had a blast. Aaron hit those high notes like he was 30....such a wonderful entertainer! And the staff at the Golden Nugget was excellent.

THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!! I have to be honest I only went because my mom really wanted to see him. She said "seeing Aaron Neville perform is on her BUCKET LIST" so we went and I am sooooo glad I went.I enjoyed the show just as much if not more then my mom.....He was fantastic!!!
