The show was one of best I have seen in few years. The bands were live, the sound was great and the performance from all of the artists were great. D'Angelo live band funk sound was appreciated, he sounded good and was on point with each selection. But Mary J stole the show! The message in her songs are so powerful and you cant appreciate the talent of Mary J until you hear her live! She has been a blessing to many during this music era and she is one of the greats!

Please get more than TWO buses back to the LIRR train station. We just missed a full bus even though we left early, and the commute back was horrible. We had to walk through the ghetto after taking two buses to get to LIRR. We missed the train taking us back to Atlantic Terminal, so had to go into Penn. Arrived home at 1:45am even though we left the concert at 10:45pm. RIDICULOUS!

Melanie Fiona was entertaining. She sings very well. D'Angelo was terrific! So good that he is back on the music scene. His voice sounded fabulous and I enjoyed watching him play the guitar and the piano while occasionally licking his lips. Mmmmm.... Mary looked hot and she kept me off my chair for most of her show. Many singers don't sound good live but she mastered it and delivered well. It was a FANTASTIC concert!!!!!

Absolutely loved the tour. Melanie Fiona was great, as was D'angelo, although we all would have loved it more if he shed more clothes haha. Mary J is a,aging as always. She sounds incredible and all the emotion she puts into her songs and performance really makes you feel every aspect of her music.

I have seen MJB every time she has come to Virginia Beach in the last 5 years and every time she does NOT disappoint. Melanie Fiona and D'Angelo were her opening acts and they both were on point. I have been a fan of D'Angelo since his first appearance on the music scene and even though he has had his setbacks he still has it. Ms. MF was great too! I love to go to concerts and I love it when the artist sounds great LIVE!

The show started with Melanie Fiona, powerful,commanding voice and so sexy! She is definitely a cup of coffee in the morning. D angelo grooved me and funked me! He left me ready and fired up to see the QUEEN of hip-hop soul Mary j Blige. She did not dissappoint!!! HIGH ENERGY, GREAT MUSICAL SELECTION , THE CROWD WENT BANANAS. I have always loved her music, but you can tell that she puts alot of hard work into her performance. I really enjoyed the concert. All performers did an exceptional job. The ONLY problem I had was waiting in line for 35 minutes then wait another 30 minutes after I ordered my food. Although I was able to view D'Angelo from the monitor, I shouldn't have to wait in line for 1hr. 5minutes for chicken tenders and french fries. overall Performance was excellent, Food Service i give the grade F- (that's because I missed D'Angelo's entire performance in person, I watched it from a monitor). I would recommend this concert to anyone, but I will also tell them to eat before going.

D'Angelo is back and he shows you that he never lost it! I loved the show. It was such a great concert and I can't wait to see any of the artists again. Mary J. Blige came out in true star fashion and she gave you 3 different outfits. It was mind blowing. She took you on a musical journey through her songs and you had no choice but to love it. I screamed and sang along with her. She put her all on that stage and you could feel it. It was one of the best concerts I've seen in a long time.

D'Angelo's comeback was spectacular, and the entrance from the among the crowd on the floor was spectacular. Mary J Blige - brand new respect for this performer! From the time she took the stage until she went off, many in the crowd were on their feet. Some songs, the crowd "took" from her! She was so gracious and thankful for her fans and expressed it with heartfelt emotion. #Liberation Tour is worth every penny!

This was absolutely one of the best concerts I've been to - ever! Their opening act - Melanie Fiona - SANG her behind off! Her vocals are incredible and the music has a rock edge to her soulful style. D'Angelo was absolutely amazing! I have to admit, I went to this concert because of him. He did not disappoint and even exceeded my expectations. LOVE HIM! Mary J. Blige has a new SUPER FAN! I've always loved her music, but would not have called myself a fan. Not after seeing her! I can say the way she pours her heart out through her music and the 110% she gives on stage makes me love her more than ever!!!! She sang, danced, laughed and cried in front of her fans. She is truly AMAZING! I paid for very good seats and got more than my money's worth in this show! One minor note: D'Angelo's vocals could have been louder early in his performance.

I really enjoyed Mary J. Blige's, performance. As always, she was in a class by herself!!!! No person or persons with her is on her level or not many. My only wish is that she had the large screen(s) so her fans like me could see her more clearly. There was an empty section of floor seats on both sides and when I tried to purchase floor I was unable to. I am not understanding that and will like to get clarity about that seating.

I enjoyed D'Angelo. I just wish he was cut up enough to take off his shirt (like in "how does it feel" video). However, he is def back vocally if not physically (but I see he's working on it). Mary was great. I would always hear rumors about her not sounding good live. She sounded great to me. You could tell how she matured (evening gown). I loved her performance. She has soooo much material she needs to extend the time of her act, but she did a great job of singing snipetts of alot of them. Great Show!!!!!

I am so glad I waiting for Mary To go on tour again. It was an experience I will never forget. It wasn't just a concert....it was a party. She is definitely the queen if r&b. D'angelo was very intimate in his performance which set the mood in the beginning but when Mary stepped out, there wasn't a dull moment. I would most definitely go see her again.

Yo, everybody did their THANG for this concert!!!!! I didn't get a chance to see the chick that openned up (Mary's new artist?). But Melanie Fiona sounded just as GREAT and Wonderful in person as she does, coming thru ya sound system. Then, for D'Angelo to have been gone for the last 10-15yrs..... I sure as hell couldn't tell! A nice smooth blend of old w/ the new from him. He is an all-around true musician, and teased all of the ladies w/ his funkie charm. It was AMAZING to see how he made the crowd go WILD, begging him to sing his songs... especially "How Does It Feel" and "Shit, Damn, Muthaf****r"! Then, of course you know Mary had to SHUT IT DOWN, in high NY class and fashion with them thigh-high boots!!!! I would DEFINTELY, DEFINTELY go to this concert again :-) Definitely a satisfied customer

I love Mary which is why I go to see her concerts. This concert was a huge disappointment. First there was so much time between acts and they had a delay of over an hour. We were told that D'Angelo was delayed because of an emergency and then when he did come he only sang 4 songs. When Mary finally came out at 10:30p.m. she apologized for the delays which I appreciated but the damage was already done in my opinion. Like I said, I love Mary but she sang too many ballads and this group needed energy after waiting so long. I also can't stand when artist have the audience sing their songs. Mary did way too much of this and it's lazy. I paid to hear her, not the chick behind me with the bad voice. It's going to be awhile before I go to another Mary J concert. Also in closing, they had no IMAG screens up at the United Center. Come ON! This place is too big not to have the big screens.

The MJB concert was the best concert I have been to this entire year. Every artist did an amazing job. D'Angelo is back! Melanie Fiona just flawless and an amazing singer. Even the opening act was good. If I could give more than five stars I would. The Queen of R and B left us with an outstanding show!

The MJB Concert was the BEST! I've been a huge fan since the early 90's. However this was my 1st time attending her live concert and it won't be my last. I sang so much my voice was hoarse the next day, but it was well worth it to see MJB do her thang. She killed it like I knew she would. #1 Fan!!!

MJB did a 90 minute set. She talked to the crowd, sang to the crowd, danced for the crowd. She did it all. She's a great performer. She exhibited everything that has made her a fan favorite. D'Angelo needs to do better. The ladies wanted to hear his old music, but he didn't deliver. He did a few snippets of his most popular music, but not enough te really get the crowd excited. His entrance was nice. That was the best part of his show. Melanie Fiona performed well. As well as Starshell. They were great opening acts.

Seeing MJB is always a treat. She gives 100% to the audience while belting out her soulful, heartfelt music and hip hop jams. We thoroughly enjoyed her performance. However, the timing of the show was poorly paced and Mary didn't hit the stage until 3-1/2 hours after concert started. We learned it was because D'Angelo was late arriving to the arena due to an emergency. But once he hit the stage, he was just as awesome. It would have been nice if they had video screens for those who were not sitting close to the stage. While we had pretty good seats, it was disappointing not to see the performers up close on video screens.

Mary J. was incredible; a soulful show that I would gladly see again. D'Angelo was great but his performance was too short. My two critiques: there was no acknowledgement of a delay until Mary J. apologized to the audience (to no fault of her own). Second, I realize that it must fuel the performer when the audience knows all of the words to most of their songs but I paid to see and hear Mary J. sing, not the audience. However, when she was singing, she was fantastic.

The show was well worth the money paid, Deangelo was late, but when he did sho up he deffinatly showed out the music and band we excellant he sounded just like his C.D.'S great, and of course Ms. Mary took us through her life like no other, she was excellant.

MJB is an absolute star!. D'Angelo was nearly an hour late and Never apologized. Shortchanged the crowd by singing only half of his marquee songs and about 10 minutes on a random song from his second album. What a waste of time :(! Mary apologized on his behalf which shows she is a true professional. Her lighting, stage performance was phenomenal. She had great energy and brings the real when she performs! She really doesn't need any opening acts and she should dump D'Angelo. They were okay but the main attraction is MJB.

Event started late - 7:45 pm. Opening act was ok. Melanie Fiona was good. D'Angelo came on even later (9:15 pm) and played a much too short set (20-30 minutes). When Mary J. finally came on (after 10 pm), she apologized for late start and stated D'Angelo had an emergency. She made up for tardiness by putting on an AWESOME show. She sang hit, after hit, after hit and was on until midnight. The girll is BAD!!!! I would definitely pay to see her again and I hope the next time she comes to Chicago, she is by herself.

Went to the concert with my wife and another couple. Mistake! I should have allowed my wife to attend the concert with her girls. I felt like I was at a Women's Empowerment Conference. Mary J. Blige did her thing though. She owned the stage and rocked the crowd. The problem was everyone was singing her damn songs. I paid to hear Mary J. Blige, not her fans. I digress. D'Angelo could have done less screaming and shouting and performed more songs. Nonetheless, the dude still has it. Melanie Fiona is fine as wine. She only performed for a few minutes but them legs was all I needed to see. In closing fellas let your lady roll with her girls on this one. Peace,

First of all Mary did her thang but there were no big screens so that everyone could see her. If you are gonna give a concert in an arena, then you must have projector screens so that every one can see you. Otherwise, we could have watched you on TV and had a better view. DeAngelo was horrible. He was late (2 hours) and only sang three songs. I couldn't understand a word he was saying in the first song. Is he trying to be the new James Brown or what? All I could think is that I needed some of what he had so that I could try to vibe with him. As Mary said "I am gonna pray for that brother. " Melanie Fiona was good. I did not realize how many songs she had that I liked. Overall the concert was not good because it seemed poorly planned with all the long intermission between each person.

The concert was lovely!! We enjoyed the show DeAngelo gave but Mary blew my socks off. The venue was excellent outside of not properly dressing for the weather. I enjoyed how Mary took us through the tracks of all her music over the years.. I give this two thumbs up and 10 STARS!!

This was my first time seeing Mary J. Blige in concert. Wow! Well worth it. She really put on a GREAT show. I must say I was disappointed that D'Angelo was tardy...and did not apologize to the audience. Melanie Fiona was great as well. I have a new appreciation for her music.

It was the Liberation Tour. Mary J Bluge, Melaine Fiona, and D'Angelo. Melaine was great! It was my first time seeing her. Great stage presence. Next up was D'Angelo. Not really into his music but the crowd seemed to enjoy him. Then the queen came out. It was my 2nd time seeing Mary in concert, she is phenomenal! She performed all her hits. True talent. She is amazing to see live

Mary j was supernatural in every since of the word! No gimmicks, no dancers and stage tricks. Just her, the voice, her determination and talent. I have seen mary about 10 times, each time she was phenominal but she was as great as she has ever been here. Highly recommended, worth every penny. D'angelo, melanie fiona and starshell were all awesome as well!

Mary J. Blige was awesome as usual. Never ever has she disappointed me! However D'angelo's voice was great, his performance was short and not impressive. Mary being the professional that she is notified the Audience that he was late due to a personal issue. He came on stage did his short show and never even apologized for the late start.

One pet peeve of mine is punctuality. They started late and intermission was an hour. Now that being said MJB did apologize indicating that D"Angelo had an emergency that caused a delay and I definitely applaud her for that. The overall show was pretty good, but would not pay $165 for the show again.

The concert was decent but there was too much time between each performer. I have never experienced such a gap in performances. This caused a lot of down time and prolong the show. The main act (Mary J Blige) apologized and stated D'Angelo had a situation and could not make the concert on time. I imagine this was the cause for all the delays. Perhaps the delays from the starting time and throughout the show was because they were trying to give him time to arrive. The show started about 1.5 hours late and there was at least a 15-20 minute break between each act. This took away from my experience and I didn't like the opening act but Mary J's performance was good and it was nice to hear some of her older songs.

I really want to give this concert more stars but after the long, long, long delays I just can't. Mary J. was excellent and I think she delivered, however it just did not compensate for the events that took place before she took the stage. First, the concert started 45 min late. Second, there was a big gap between the first and second act. Third, the delay between the second act and the third act (D'Angelo) was unbelievably long. In my opinion, he should have been skipped because of this delay (over 1 1/2 hour.) This type of delay causes great frustration in the crowds and tempers start to flare. Mary J., being the headliner should have made a decision to cut him. She was apologetic about his delay, which I did appreciate her addressing, but all in all this was just too unprofessional to keep fans waiting that period of time. Don't get me wrong, I understand emergencies happen, but sometimes you got to cut your losses.

The concert was great. Melanie Fiona was good live. Her band was really good. Mary J. Blige was amazing. This show was way better than her show at the Chicago Theater last year. Even though that was a good show. At this show she was able to take advantage of the lighting of the United Center. Hopefully she will be able to do her next show at the U.C. The only down side was waiting almost a half hour between Melanie and D'Angelo. D'Angelo put on a great show as well. I'm glad soul artists are able to make money touring. R&B is dying these days, but these artists help keep people like me happy who want to hear good music. I would say if this tour comes to your town go see it.

I arrived to the United Center around 6:30, a half hour early for a show reported to start at 7 pm. The show did not start until 7:35, but that was fine, I actually didn't expect it to start on time. The first opening act was a new singer named Starshell, whose signed to Mary J. Blige's record label. I wasn't really into her generic pop/r&b sound and was glad she only performed 3 songs. It was awhile before the next opening act performed, which was Melanie Fiona. I like her, so i was anxious to see how well she performed. She's a good performer, very passionate. D'angelo was slated to perform next, but it was over an hour before he hit the stage; apparently he had an emergency that caused his lateness. D'angelo performed very well; I liked the new funkier arrangements of his classic songs. The ladies in the audience went crazy when he performed a bit of Untitled (How does it feel?). On to the headliner, Mary J. Blige. I loved her performance! She performed all of my favorite songs of hers, including Real Love, Not Gon Cry, Love No Limit, Love a Woman, Be Without You, Sweet Thing, and many more. She's definitely worth seeing in concert.
