What an awesome experience! I have been to white river many times and this show will be one of my favorites. 15band for a resonable price and great music. I will still say that beverage prices are way out of hand. I paid a whopping $11.50 for a 16 oz bud light and my daughter paid $5.00 for a water on a warm day this is highway robbery! I did meet up with Tony from Windowpane and had a great time with some fans.

I have to say I was skeptical about Disturbed live but they sure delivered. Blew away my expectations. Anthrax sounded great! Joey still sounds the same as he did when I saw them back in 88. A few microphone issues but it was fixed. Alter Bridge blew me away as well. Myles Kennedy sounds amazing and I think you could hear that guy w/ out a microphone! Dude has some pipes on him! Saint Asonia sounded great and the reason I came was to see Breaking Benjamin since I had missed them a few times before on other tours. I was surprised at the new line up. Two members of the band sang and they also did a medley of Star Wars imperial march, Schism by Tool, Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana and Walk by Pantera. The only thing that sucked was my 3.5 hr ride there in crappy Seattle traffic (yes on a Sunday even) and the 2.5 hr ride back home.

I am not a fan of bands like windowpane and anthrax so it started slow for me. Pop evil was good like always and finding out saints of astonea is three days Grace was cool they had a good set. Branking Benjamin was awesome to see live. They are not a favorite band but I like them and do listen to them. Disturbed is the band I wanted to see. It was my first time I've seen disturbed and they diliverd. The concert was amazing like every year but seeing disturbed was the best part. P.s. food is way to expensive... we were there for 10-11 hours so we had to eat twice $50 just on myself is a bit much

Was not aware that the theme of the event was the various uses of the word fuck. Did not see the value added to the event. All the staff that I encountered was lame. No training in what their responsibilities are.

I took my son to Pain in the Grass as his first concert. Having gone to many growing up, I was a little disappointed. Overall, the show was good. But 2 of the bands we wanted to see most played only half an hour, and the sound quality was horrible for them.I also paid for a CD to have Buckcherry sign, which they did. But we weren't allowed to take pictures, and were rushed through so fast.

Over all it sucked...no second stage this year?....doors opened to close to show time, not enough time to explore the venue. I was VERY disapointed....Ive been going to Pain in the Grass since it was a tiny show in the Seattle Center Ampitheatre, (LONG time ago)...this show will make me think twice about going again....Pain in the Parking Lot (at Cheney stadium in tacoma) was better

Rob Zombie was great, especially when he went through the crowd. Buck Cherry & Theory of a Deadman were great. Godsmack stage presence wasn't as interactive.

I have never been to an event without an encore. I could only speculate that there was a time constraint and they ran out of time. The second to last band made a comment about being short on time and having to cut something out. I feel like I missed something.

First time attending Pain in the Grass, did not watch any 2nd stage shows as they were playing at the same time as the main stage which was weird. Mayhem Fest shows are staggered times so you don't miss out, not this concert. Pop Evil was good, Buck Cherry was not my taste, Theory of a Deadman was entertaining, ROB ZOMBIE ruled, and Godsmack rocked the house even though it seemed to be a short set. What is annoying is the lax security to keep people in the seats they paid for. We were in the front row in Section 211 at Whiteriver Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA, and we got rushed by drunken fans after the beer garden closed. I don't mind dancing people, but falling, smoking, and passing out people directly behind me or trying to climb over the railing is too much. I literally had to shove a drunk woman off of me and my daughter because she kept falling over "dancing" but was just too drunk to stand up while the skinny hipster "security" guy ignored it all and was watching the show.

I was very disappointed at having to run back and forth between stages. Also by the time one band ended on one stage, the other got going at the other. If you went to the bathroom, got food, or a beverage, you missed a band. I think there should have been at least 20 minutes between bands so you could move from stage to stage.

I gave this Pain in the Grass 5 stars all because of Alice n Chains. They were amazing and totally made up for the previous day Friday. They really showed all the other bands what they need to strive for. I also enjoyed Volbeat,All That Remains, and Airbourne. While, Avenged Sevenfold was good, they seemed a little rehearsed and stagey. You got the feeling that their show was exactly the same every night, just change the name of the venue. They certainly had an impressive stage show with all their fire and very loud cannon booms! The audience was full of die-hard fans and loved every minute. I would have enjoyed Friday more if the weather the previous night camping and that day hadn't sucked! But the weather was great Saturday. Not being a Jane's Addiction fan, I still thought they played an enjoyable and tight set. Perry Farrell is always amusing. Also, don't forget they had 2 mermaids(I think that's what they were) swinging from the ceiling. And a fake sex act performed on Perry, of course .Volbeat was very tight and sounded awesome. Really enjoyed Airbourne as I hadn't seen them before. The singer took a climb up the tresses with his guitar, not sure why but it was fun. All in all it was worth the 2 day pass for myself and my 18 yr. daughter and the camping pass. But I have to say I enjoy the Gorge but I prefer Pain in the Grass at White River where it has been in the past. If its going to be at the Gorge next year, please make it earlier in the summer than this year because of the weather, and it being right after Labor Day it wasn't as easy to go to. ALICE N CHAINS so worth it!

Avenged Sevenfold evaporated the rain with their fantastic light show and pyrotechnics. Jane's Addiction sounded like bad karaoke - some song I could not have recognized if it had not been for a familiar melody line in the guitars. Alice in Chains had a great set but then left without ceremony and it really seemed like a lame ending to a fantastic concert weekend.

The bands killed it just was very upset and disappointed that the grass area was closed. Changed my entire opinion of the gorge. Condensing the crowd was a horrible idea I go.to.the gorge to relax on the hill and watch a great live music this time we had to squeeze in small areas just made it difficult to fully enjoy the event

Pros: The bands were GREAT. Terrace camping at the gorge is always amazing. Cons: After being pampered at the Watershed event a month earlier, this festival was lacking. For example: No in and out privileges. So once you were there, you were stuck. No going back to the campground for an hour to skip a band you didn't want to see, eat supper, whatever. The bands started at 2pm but no one went until closer to 5 or later because you were trapped on site until 11pm if you wanted to see the big names (plus the weather did not cooperate, so even more reason to not want to shiver outside the entire day). The festival didn't seem to be advertised well so the ticket sales were poor despite a great lineup. Not sure if it impacted the type of show they put on, but for Watershed they had video monitors on each side of the stage so no matter where you sat, it was good seats. For this one, no monitors at all. They closed down the entire hillside so that was frustrating since there was nowhere to sit and this facility is known for being an outdoor amphitheatre with a huge grassy hillside to just hang on a blanket or chair and watch the show. The first night the live nation security people were able to more or less keep people below the 'barricade' but the second night they lost the battle. They were clearly outnumbered by silent protesters sitting on the hill. And of course the speakers weren't on for the upper area so the sound wasn't as good as it can be there. Regardless of ticket sales, though, people had paid good money to see the show and taken time off to get there and be there - so it was frustrating. As I mentioned, we also attended Watershed, a country festival at the same venue, and it was a much rowdier party. The Live Nation security staff seemed much gruffer with the hard rock crowd at this show although it was way calmer than the crazy country fans who were drunk 24/7. The concession staff were friendly as always, though. Glad this wasn't my first gorge experience. It was a disappointment when you know how it could and should be out there.

I mainly went to see Candlebox, Chevelle & Three Days Grace. I had never seen them before live and they did not disappoint! Three Days Grace blew the roof off of that place! I honestly wasn't expecting Candlebox to be as amazing as they were. Kevin Martin's vocals were spot on just as they were back in the early 90's. Chevelle was amazing as well! These two didn't play as long as I had liked but w/ all the other bands on the bill. It was to be expected. I had been wanting to see Three Days Grace for a few years and they did not disappoint! I ended up finding a new favorite band in Royal Bliss. All of these bands put on a hell of a show! My first Pain in the Grass and won't be my last.

The venue is a ways away from where I live so traveling can be a nightmare but I love this venue it is fairly accommodating and huge. The lines were soooo long for the bathroom, to get food, etc but that is to be expected. I was so happy to see Korn, Stone Sour, and Yelawolf. The weather was awful though it was so hot you couldn't even function. I wanted these bands to play longer but that's just the fan in me. If they were even remotely as hot as I was I totally get it. I was able to snag a tank top at the end of the night. In the event of a super freakin hot day, there needs to be more mister thingys (which was great) and tents so people can at least get out of the hot sun for awhile.

I have attended Pain in the Grass for the last 5 years. I love the venue, sound is usually good on the main stage (Pretty Reckless had some sound issues though). What I don't like is that the main stage and 2nd stage stagger their times. There were bands that I wanted to see their complete set, but couldn't because the bands overlapped. Isn't there a way to do it like Mayham and have all the 2nd stage bands at the beginning and than the Main stage bands later so that we can see all the bands that we are paying for?? AND - not sure why Islander and Radkey were on Main Stage and Fozzy and Otherwise were on 2nd stage??

We watched all acts on the main stage and watched Otherwise on the secondary smaller stage. In my opinion, Otherwise should have had a spot on the main stage. I've seen them in Vegas and they're bigger than some of the bands that got time on the main stage. Other than that, the groups were all awesome. Stone Sour and Korn were flawless! Hope to be back next year!

Pain In The Grass 2016, my first ever PITG, was an outstanding experience. The venue is very good (use the shuttle and plan to arrive early and leave a few minutes early to avoid bad traffic on an epic scale). The bands on the main stage were just terrific and the turnover between acts was professional and very fast. Bands included local rockers Windowpane, Stitched up Heart, Saint Asonia, Anthrax, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed and my absolute favorite, Alter Bridge. If you ever get the chance to see Alter Bridge DO IT. There were a couple of other bands too. Plus while milling about outside you could enjoy an entirely different stage with some pretty radical bands. I would have liked the sets to be a little bit longer, especially for Alter Bridge. Overall this was a great day and I will definitely be back next year.

The concert event was expensive to say the least for the package I ordered which was excepted for a Meet & Greet Package. But to see all the bands at once while doing the Meet and Greet at the same time was nearly impossible, so I basically determined the only bands worth watching eventually after my Meet and Greet were done was Anthrax, Breaking Benjamin, and the last being Disturbed on the schedule. All in all the as a fan of Disturbed for over 20 years as a teenager growing up finally getting to meet them in person and watching them perform was worth the wait in the end.

Disturbed is by far my favorite band. Pain In The Grass makes the second time that I've seen this year. They put on a fantastic show. The fire and pyrotechnics were a sight to behold. Overall - sound was pretty good for all bands. My one complaint is why just the two stages and overlap with Main Stage and side stage? I would prefer it to go back how it was a few years back, with the 2 stages set up in front area - and then Main Stage bands go on after the front stage bands have completed.

The line up for Pain in the Grass was incredible! I knew a few of the bands (Bullet for my Valentine, Three Days Grace, of course Slipknot) but there were a few new ones I got introduced to and one has become a new favorite. CROBOT! They were extremely efficient on time, there wasn't a long wait in between sets which was nice since there were so many bands performing during the show. There were a few issues that I had that were not band related. The venue is kind of a pain in the "grass" to get to since its a two lane road. I HIGHLY recommend taking the advice of the venue and taking some of the back roads. We got in pretty darn easily. Getting out, well that was another story. My other issue came from parking. I paid for Star parking which I received but I was one of the last cars that got in to the lot because they over sold it. I paid $30 for that parking pass and if I didn't receive it, like i am sure a lot of others didn't, I would have been PISSED!!!

The lineup was fantastic and I love the venue. I love it even more when they run shuttles like they did for this event. I've been to Uproar and in the past there were two alternating stages of music that was all finished before the main stage opened. Maximum music with minimal effort. Pain in the Grass had a second stage with bands playing in between the main stage bends - but that required leaving your seat and rushing out to the other stage, then rushing back to the main stage. It worked out okay for me, but I certainly preferred the Uproar way. I thought security was fine - not overbearing, but there when they needed to be. And I can't praise the use of shuttles too much - love them!
