Big Head Todd & the Monsters

Been following them for over 20 years but haven t seen them live in 15 years. They were amazing. Fun and energetic set and the crowd were into them. Plan to see them again in a few months.

This band never disappoints! Have been following them for years. New music is just as good as the older stuff. At the Pageant you can stand on the floor just feet from the band. For some reason this year Todd's microphone did not seem loud enough compared to the other instruments. This may be due to the 2 large speakers that were behind him.

I thought I was going to see Big Head Todd and the Monsters, but what I got was amazing! I was not disappointed in the least. It was a tribute to Willie Dixon I got to see some amazing blues players and next generation blues players! I bought the CD "Way Down Inside...Songs of Willie Dixon" which has all the songs they played Saturday night. Erica Brown is full of spunk and has a powerful voice! You can't go wrong with the Uptown Theater in Napa.

1st off - House of Blues is an awesome venue!! 2nd - Shawn was cool - sexy voice! 3rd - Todd & the monsters - great as always!!! Just a terrific band!

Big Head Todd was outstanding. They definitely exceeded my expectations. The venue was great and the music even better. You don't ATTEMPT to play Voodoo Chile unless you can pull it off. He not only pulled it off, he tore it up. To be talked about alongside Stevie Ray Vaughn is an honor and this guy is right there with him. He is an incredible guitarist.

Music was great as well as the venue although there was some issues with the folks standing in the first two rows of our section!!!

Big Head Todd and The Monsters didn't let us down. These guys continue to tear it up. I wish they would come around Houston a bit more. Looking forward to next year if we are so lucky to have them back.

After 30 years as a band Big Head Todd is better than ever. Todd Park Mohr is certainly an underrated guitar player and deserves accolades for his abilities. All of the band have honed their craft over the and they seem to get better each show that I have seen them play. I absolutely recommend seeing BHTM. They played a nearly 2 hour set at the Variety Theater. This show was worth ever penny. Played a mix of all of their older favorites and newer material.

They just continue to crush it as a live act. Todd Park Mohr and his Monsters are never a disappointing act. Serious skills and audience interaction. Rock On!

Great show and The Fillmore is an amazing place to see semi-annual faves BHTM. Always look forward to their trip through SF. Great stuff. Always fresh rock mixed in with the ol' classics we all know and love. Todd brings it!!! Vocal and guitar are impeccable and makes me think how UNDER-appreciated he is as a musician. His ability to channel Hendrix in some of his solos is incredible. Good stuff!

I love the state theater in Kalamazoo great setting, great show from big head Todd and the monsters. Every seat is a perfect seat there had a great time definitely recommend anyone to come see them !!

I have seen BHT several times but this was my first time seeing any show at this venue (Humphrey's Concerts by the bay). It was second only to Red Rocks in Denver. As always, BHT put on a spectacular show and the setting on the bay was incredible. I would highly recommend seeing BHT if you haven't seen them and I would definitely see another concert at Humphrey's.

First got hooked up with sister sweetly in the early 90's. This was the 3rd time to see them. Great band.

Every time that I get to see them, I am reminded of their fantastic musicianship & artistry. They stay true to themselves & their music. They were on fire Saturday night. They usually come through St. Louis once a year, & we are always there. The concert this Saturday night was one of the best, & I've loved them all. You guys are my favorite!! I only have one request, could you stop by St. Louis, Missouri during warmer weather? LOL!! Love Big Head Todd & The Monsters!!!!

We LOVE these guys! Such a great sound, just great musicians all around. We LOVE this venue too. Such a diamond in the rough. We didn't know G.Love & Special Sauce and they were great too. We had amazing 2nd row center seats and enjoyed the evening and being so close to the stage. Not a bad seat in the house. Todd and his guys always put everything into their performances (we've seen them several times after only discovering them a decade ago) and enjoy them each time; large or small venue. It was an unseasonably humid evening here in So Cal but it didn't seem to impact the guys. What a treat. They played old and new music. I bought their newest album and can't wait to familiarize myself with each song. Great night! Thanks guys, and thanks to Humphreys for another wonderful experience.

Ronnie Baker Brooks got the packed house jumping before Big Head Todd & the Monsters took it to another level! BHT was in the zone and the crowd knew it. RBB seamlessly joined them, providing a treat to concert goers as he and Todd shredded back and forth to the end.

Fifth time I saw Todd and this was the best. He rocked the joint. Opening band was also great.

Big Head Todd's show at the Pageant in St. Louis was very good, however is certainly geared toward their die hard fans. They showcased their new album, which sounded good and threw in their classics throughout the show. My only criticism is that the sound mixing was very poor. The bass was overpowering, many times drowning out the vocals. Otherwise it was a great show.

BHT&TM rocked it as usual. Ronnie Baker Brooks as the opening act was an unexpected, amazing icing on the cake. Possibly the best version of \u2018Voodoo Child I ve heard! Love The Pageant!!!

Big Head Todd & the Monsters may have formed in the late 80s, but they were a big part of my college life in the early 90s. Instead of having an opener they performed two sets, which included special guests Hazel Miller and Ronnie Baker Brooks. Hazel Miller is a phenomenal soul singer. Her vocals mixed with Ronnie Baker Brooks blues guitar playing and Big Head Todd s sound were all blended to perfection. They did a few Ronnie Baker Brooks and Hazel Miller songs in addition to their bigger hits Bittersweet , Broken Hearted Savior , Circle and Resignation Superman . The night was one big jam session. Everyone on stage looked like they were having a good time and were feeding off of the crowd s energy. If you have never seen Big Head Todd & the Monsters live they are a must.

This is a great venue for BHTM. SRO and the crowd is always good when these guys come back to the Crystal Bay Club. They rocked a cool mix of songs from New World Arisin', their classics and a couple deep tracks. Have to give a should out to Simo as well!!

Have enjoyed their music for the past fifteen years. This was my first time seeing them . What a show they put on . Todd is soooooo good and so is his band. The Pageant was a nice place to have it. Looking forward to seeing them again!!

I've seen Big Head Todd andthe Monsters the last couple times they came through Tahoe and they never disappoint. They had a nice long set that included 4 or 5 songs off their new album. They absolutely crush it every time. Todd shreds the guitar, and I love that.

This is such a cool venue! The band, as always, is amazing and the acoustics in the theatre just creates a great night!

The venue was outstanding! The whole show was great! What a treat to see Hazel Miller. Trombone Shorty .... what can I say? The man can play!

BHT & TM are great, as usual. The classic songs are still amazing and the band and Todd s voice are better than ever. House of Blues is fantastic except for their stage lighting. Shining blinding spotlights in the audiences eyes throughout most of the show is not cool.

As always Big Head Todd delivers an amazing concert. Worth every penny spent. Trombone Tony and his band opened and was terrific!!! The concert lasted until 11pm and everyone had a blast!!! Met some friendly folks from Indiana while tailgating. I love this venue!

Would never hesitate to see these guys again! What a great show!! And BOMH is a spectatcular venue! Highly recommend both the band and venue.

The evening with BHTM was great. 1st set was all requests enough favorites that even the nonBHTM fan would of none a few. 2nd set was just as memorable as the 1st with a new song thrown in. The Pageant is one of the best small venues in the Midwest great place to see a show.

BHTM have been a band for 31 years and have only become better at their trade. Nevin drives the beat with energetic authority, Squires reliably rolls out a rich canvas of bass lines, Lawton sprinkles flavor and depth with keyboards and slide guitar and Mohr captivates with voice, soul and lead guitar. And they were so presentable and good natured!

I have seen the band quite a few times. This was the first time seeing them so close. I enjoyed the show without a doubt. You hit it again boys!!

My husband and I see BHTM every chance we get. Love when they play a venue this size. Everyone was on point, and the music was amazing. Loved hearing their new stuff, as well as the old gems.

I SURPRISED MY WIFE WITH TICKETS FOR MOTHER'S DAY. WE FLEW OUT FROM ST LOUIS ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON TO MAKE A WEEKEND EVENT. SHE USED TO LIVE IN COLORADO AND NEVER WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO RED ROCKS. WELL NOW SHE HAS. UNBELIEVABLE VENUE AND A GREAT SHOW. WE'VE NEVER SEEN BARENAKED LADIES, AND WAS A GOOD SURPRISE. THEY WERE ENTERTAINING AND I KNEW MORE SONGS THAT I THOUGHT. BHTM IS ALWAYS OUTSTANDING. WE SEE THEM EVERY YEAR IN ST LOUIS. OTHER THAN SUFFERING FROM FOOD POISONING AT THE SHOW, I HAD A GREAT TIME AS WELL AS MY WIFE WHO IS A BIGGER BHTM FAN THAN ANYONE I KNOW!

AMAZING MUSIC PLAYED BY AN AMAZING GROUP OF MUSICIANS. We had such a super time listening to groovin' Blues with rockin' rythm, played with passion.

Spectacular show. Couldn't have been more surprised with the performance. The Willie Dixon tribute was simply outstanding.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this was alot of fun! The show was very entertaining - I could have done without the female singer but everyone else was terrific. Hope they return to Milwaukee soon!

BHT did a great job mixing it up. They ripped up the typical Blues-rock stuff that makes them so appealing, but also gave us a touch of what's on their mind now in moving over to the straight-up Blues inspired work they are and have been gravitating to. They also threw down a crazy good version of when the levee breaks that killed it. But, before that they introduced the song by crediting it to Memphis Minnie and offered up that Ledd Zeppelin, et al., did this tune from her. Way to go Todd, way to respect the music, play a killer set and just thrill the locals here in Denver! We'll see you at "The Ride!"

Truth be told, I thought we were going to get more BHTM music and at first was a little disappointed - until about 1 minute into the first song! What an awesome concept and an awesome line up of deep Blues music. Well done, Blues Club!

BNL was solid and entertaining as always. Their quirky covers and arrangements of classics was an awesome way to start the show! BHT was very good, and AMAZING in the middle when they went to the blues and guitar solos.

They Rocked the House of Blues. The most wonderful mix of new and old music.

very misleading when purchased tic back in june no mention of all willie dixon songs only when we got there we were told by todd no monster catalog what a bummer but have to say set was entertaining just wanted todd songs tic said big head todd and the monsters thats what i expected

I'm a Big Head Todd and The Monsters fan. I also love the blues. Watching these guys work their magic was truly awesome. They're all top notch musicians. Ronnie Baker Brooks is incredible!!!!!!

All Willie Dixon set was a blues treat! Special gust were very special indeed. Any time BHTM play I will be there.

We first saw BHTM at a Blues Festival in Scottsdale while on vacation and became instant fans. When we heard he was coming to Houston we purchased tickets right away. They brought it again and just rocked it out! Todd is such an amazing vocalist, musician and showman! It doesn't get much better for me! As for the view, standing room only, General Admission is the way to go. You can get extremely close to the stage and you can't beat the price. I've sat in the reserve seating (above) one time and it feels like you're totally removed from the show. It's almost like you're an observer hovering over the performance. The artists alway play to the standing crowd.

I thought I knew a lot of Willie Dixon's tunes but even the ones I knew the arrangements and execution were unique and very interesting. A really wonderful tribute to one of the great blues song writers Ronnie, Billy, and Mud all had played with or known Willie so that was special. Mud Morganfield sounded so much like his father it was like Muddy was there too.

It helps that I love BHTM, but the acoustics at Ovens was great, and it was nice being able to sit down and not be crushed by other fanatic BHTM groupies for once!

Awesome...awesome...awesome!! No better venue in the world... Musicianship abounds.... does not get any better!!! Wonderful wonderful show...

I thought that it was great that Todd and band got up and filled in for the opening act when they didn't show. As far as I was concerned I would have preferred that they had played the entire evening. We had an excellent time and the staff at the Mountain Winery were top notch too.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters are always worth going to see in concert. House of Blues is the perfect venue to see them.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters are very professional band. they're a a lot of fun. The photos were great. each musician is very good. There was a bit of and usual Distortion in the music, not electronic distortion but acoustic distortion as if the shape of the room wasn't quite right.

I love this venue and I love this band. Put the two together and it made for a fantastic night. This was my first time in the balcony and it was awesome!! Ccomfortable seats, great view, spot-on acoustics. I had a great time!

Great Sound, Great Performance, Great Setlist. All around fantastic show. I have seen BHTM multiple times and this show was by far the best. Setlist was really balanced. Sound was killer and the entire band was into it. Great night.

BHTM is ALWAYS a great show! Fillmore is always a great venue. BUT, it's total CRAP that you have to pay to park at Fillmore now. That used to be one of the benefits of seeing a show there.

Todd and his band are rock n roll tight. So many musical influences in one night. As a music finatic...,it s great to watch another music fanatic perform. What a ride.

Great show Sunday night! The new material rocks and showcases the tallents of not just Todd, but the entire band. He could have played longer as many hits were benched. Glad to see good sized and enthusiastic following at the Wilbur.

When heard they were not going to do any of the BHTM songs, was a little disappointed. BUTTTT turned out to be incredible! This was one of the BEST concerts i have been to. The music was fantastic as were each of the musicians. They were having as much fun as the crowd was. Everyone on their feet and swaying with the rhythm!!! What ever you do - GET TO THIS CONCERT!

We experienced a wonderful evening. Todd was in form, what a fabulous entertainer he has become. The set list was all Willie Dixon, some fans did not read the promotional material. Oh well we loved the show.

Wonderful show! Never heard them before, but I'd go see them in any venues in N. CA/Reno/Tahoe in a heartbeat. They all signed CD's after the show and even helped me get the wrapping off the CD's!

Big Head Todd and the Monsters was my fave band of the 90s. I've seen them many times and haven't been disappointed until last week. The crowd was really lame in the balcony; they never stood up or got into the music. The band seemed kind of "off", and the setlist seemed lacking.

Great show! I swear Todd gets better each time we see him! Keep on rockin' !!

I first saw BHY&M at the ACL Music Festival probably more than 10 years ago. I have always tried to support them when they are in the NC Triad area. I'm not sure that will continue, at least at inside venues. The music was LOUD - as in DEAFENING. I could barely hear the lyrics, even to my favorite songs such as Bittersweet and Angela Dangerlove. Todd's voice is one of the reasons I follow this band, and not being able to hear lyrics ruins the experience. I don't know who was in charge of the sound, but I will not be seeing the band at this venue in the future.

Just recently started listening to these guys as we visit Boulder often and heard their music on KBCO. Love their style, versatility, and energy! The show Sunday night in Greensboro did not disappoint. Todd played and sang with an intensity and passion that is rare to see on stage these days. He is extremely talented and he very obviously enjoys performing. I don't think he stopped smiling once!! It truly was an amazing show! Cone Center should have advertised more. I talked to quite a few people who would've gone if they had known BHTM was in town. Highly recommend!

Great opener in Mike Doughty. BHTM was over the top brilliant. Variety Playhouse was the best best venue for this event. Couldn't have had more fun or been more pleased. ps: I drove 3 hours for this show!

Solid set list, killer encore. Hard to believe they've been playing for 30 years since they look so young, but seeing and hearing them play sells it.

Over 20 years ago, a friend told me how great these guys were in concert. I never had the chance to find out until I spotted that they were playing in Tahoe while I was staying at a ski resort. They were a tight band, with amazing guitar play from lead singer and lead guitar Todd (his head doesn't look that big). The Room was packed to the rafters and everybody appreciated the bluesy and driving rock tunes that they played. I would definitely see these guys again.

My husband and I had a great time at the venue and Big Head Todd was amazing. They are my husbands favorite band so we flew in from Portland to see them.

This was not our first BHTM concert, so we have others to compare to. They have a lot of material to cover, so it must be hard to pick out what songs to play and what not to. We will say we were bummed that they didn't play a few of our favorites, but overall, the sound, the location, and the venue was perfect! Todd is a true professional, as well as "The Monsters". We only wish they would have played a little longer. G. Love and Special Sauce is a great opening act for BHTM. They were A LOT of fun!

Loved Big Head Todd at the Belly Up last spring - fantastic show with good audience engagement. This show, the sound was muddy. Also annoyed that Humprey's has no dance floor, or even any area set aside for dancing. Instead, security guards kept shooing people back to their crowded seats.

So we went to see G Love play. He went on only a few minutes after 6:30, which was surprising as only about 15% of the seats were filled at that point. G Love did an amazing performance, but I would've loved it if those around us listened to the music instead of talking. And this wasn't normal level talking. This was at least 3 drinks in, obnoxiously loud, so much so it was difficult to hear the music we paid to come see, talking. At one point when I looked around, more people were chatting it up than listening to the music. It just felt incredibly disrespectful to the band and was maddening for me as a fan, when the band on stage literally had to compete over the rumble of the talking crowd to be heard. It was painfully And frustratingly apparent that most folks there came only to hear Big Head Todd. I felt bad for G Love and G Love fans, especially since it was an outdoor venue, it was so hard to hear their songs over those talking. I'm not sure I understand why one must come to a concert and talk over the music, not paying attention to the band at all. You can do that at home for free. And if you Don't care to listen to one of the bands playing, at least have enough respect to either remain seated and be quiet, so those who are there to listen can enjoy it, or go somewhere in the back to socialize.

G.Love & Special Sauce opening and BHTM headlining - both are limited size bands with an incredible power punch of sound! So much great energy and music to fill the beautiful San Diego skyline! BHTM keep getting better and better and better. Long live indie music!

My 4th time seeing BHT all in different venues. This band NEVER disappoints. They obviously still love to play, they are very talented and fun and they are all very humble. I can't get enough of this band on a warm summer night. Perfect.

What a great show! Humphreys is an awesome, intimate venue. Makes you feel up close and personal with the artists. I went to this show to see G. Love and Special Sauce and they were, as always fantastic. I danced through their entire set. Big Head Todd did not disappoint either. The venue, the vibe, the view were all phenomenal. Such a fun night. And, I got to meet Garrett aka G. Love. Made my frickin' month!

Big Head Todd and the Monster with G-Love and Special Sauce might be the concert event of the summer! Don't miss them if they get to your area.

Humphrey's is an awesome venue!!! Aside from some drunk dude next to us......and the lame wanna be rent a cops for security, it was and awesome performance!!!

Big Head Todd & the Monsters performed two sets and excited the audience. I always enjoy seeing them wherever they play.
