Going to a Portland Timbers game is a great experience. The Timber Army sang and chanted the whole time, so there was electricity pumping through the crowd during the match. Of course, the actual purchasing of the ticket isn't that great because of all the extra fees attached. So basically a $30 ticket will actually cost you somewhere around $40.

Decided to take my son to the Timbers' game for his birthday. Selected "best available" at "any price" in searching for tickets. Section 119, Row - A, Seats 3-4 came up. Looked like good seats on the stadium map so I bought them. When I went to the game, I discovered that the view of the left side of the field was 50% obstructed by a guard rail. There was no disclosure when purchasing the tickets that it was an obstructed view. Very disappointed.

Truly amazing. I had been to a few minor league football (soccer) games before but was nothing like this. It made me think of the quote, "pomp and circumstance" since it was an event to behold, not even counting the game that was played. I just wish my wife could have been with me to witness the spectacle (she is, In Country ). If you are a people watcher, or just enjoy a very exciting atmosphere, you must attend at least one game this year.

The game last night between the Timbers and Sounders was a classic rivalry carried on though the teams are at different levels of play now. The game was generally played well throughout the entire match by the hometown Timbers, who fell in action 2-1. It will be great to see the Timbers reach MLS status in 2011 to continue playing the Sounders on equal footing.

I was there last night. Great game. Even though I am from Portland, I am a Sounders fan, or, I should clarify, a huge Keller fan. I was sorely disappointed in the Sounders fans that were bused in from Seattle. I can appreciate raucous and loud, but the majority of these Sounders fans were well beyond that stage. I had the dubious honor of being seated too near them. Normally, you would have to go to England and attend a Premiership game to witness these types of Hooligans. Too bad. The action on the field was great; the action from the Sounders Fans was dissapointing. Don't get me started on the cost of a bottle of water!!

The atmosphere at Jeld Wen Field is great. It's something you don't want to miss especially if you like soccer since there aren't very many venues in MLS with this type of fan base. Plus Tom Hanks even showed up.

It was my fist time experiencing a seat in GA at a MLS Timbers game. It was stressful to say the least. We heard that they made people who wanted to sit immediately behind the goal show up at an undesignated time to receive a wristband and then those 1000 people had to go back prior to the game to get in line again. What a hassle. That made us feel as though we needed to be there at 6:00 for a 8:00 game in order to sit in th the bleachers above the walkway. If there is such concern about seating in the GA section that a wristband process has to be implemented, seats should be reserved in GA as well. First come first served would still apply but during the purchasing process. The anxiety experienced leading up to the game will keep us away from future games unless we are able to purchase tickets for reserved seats.

Our defense and keeper are terrible. It was like going to watch a kids tricycle race after having watched the Tour de France. Simply pathetic, but the crowd and the Galaxy didn't dissapoint. Now if only the current season ticket holders wouldn't renew so I could move up on the waiting list, I'd be stoked. RCTID!!!

Great seats, the pole in front of you blocked a minor portion of the field but it's not that bad considering some of the other seats in sec 211 where you can't see half of the field.

Section 211, row o, seats 11 and 12 are not "obstructed" view, they are "half field" view. you cannot even see the goal at the opposite end of the field. They should not be up for sale. very disappointed.

This was my first MLS game and we had a tremendous time. I would recommend arriving early to enjoy the atmosphere. Parking was close and we had an easy walk. Depending on where you sit you may need to explain a few expressions to young children.

The game was great but I bought tickets as soon as they went on sale and a couple months later I get an email that they are obstructed view. But at that point all the other tickets are sold out. I bought them as a gift to a friend and was disappointed I had to tell her months after I had given them to her.

The Timbers aren't as good as we hoped they'd be. I have four season tickets in the TA section, but bought these two because I thought having extras for this game would be a good idea. Well, I spent most of the game hanging out with my family down in the TA section or just walking around. Seats were way too far up in the nose bleed area just in front of the tarped off section.

The game was excellent, but.... When I originally purchased these single game tickets there was no mention of them being obstructed view. The stadium has been in existence forever, they should know exactly which seats will have an obstructed view, and should indicate such at the time of purchase. UO did this when the BB team used Mac Court. If I would have known from the beginning, I would not have purchased the tickets. I did receive notice sometime after buying the tickets, and was given the opportunity to get my money back, which I did for 3 of the 5 games I purchased, but I did keep several thinking, "how bad could it be"? Well, we found out....we couldn't see the goal on the south end of the field. These tickets never should have been sold to the general public. If so, it shouldn't have been for $33 (including fees). Does anybody want to buy my remaining game?

There was no parking. General admission meant no assigned seats. These are both things I should have known ahead of time. The whole event ended up being too much work for the $80 I paid. We didn't find soccer as interesting as baseball. Wouldn't bother with this again.

Second half was a let down; too many defensive errors and I have never seen Perkins yell so much at his back line that was allowing way too many Chivas players to be unguarded and wide open. I brought my sister to the game who has never seen a soccer game in her life and her comments were poignant. She was asking why the red team always seemed to have 2 or 3 people guarding the green guys and they, the red team, looked better organized and in better shape....that from a non soccer person. It was disappointing to say the least. I love the games and the atmosphere and hope things open up in a more positive manner. Plus, Chris Boyd is short, why do they keep serving him the ball so high in the air, a couple of his shots were headers as he was backpeddling to get something on the ball which is difficult when you are backing away. I just don't see the offensive using Boyd's talents...he looks like a wasted talent at times

I would give a review, but I missed 2/3 of the goals because my seat was so awful. I have been to countless Timbers games and never been too disappointed with my seats but this was awful. They were sold as a regular tickets, not an obstructed view and I couldn't even see inside the 18 of one goal, and had a pole to my right. When I moved up to sit along the very top row so I could actually see the game I was told to go back to my (terrible) seat.

The feel and the energy at the stadium is simple amazing. Best sports events I have ever gone to. Even the couple of people that don't watch Soccer LOVED the experience. It is a must event for any sports fan.

This was my first visit to JELD-WEN Field, and actually my first visit to a soccer specific stadium. Being from a city with a smaller soccer community it was astounding to see the Timbers Army on their feet across an entire side of the stadium and cheering with thunderous sound for their home team even in a mid-season cross-league friendly on a Thursday night. Portland clearly loves its Timbers, and between the fans, the food, and the experience with the team, I will absolutely be back!

This game was a lot of fun, both teams played hard even though the Timbers rested their best players. A lot of yellow cards for a friendly game. The America fans created a great atmosphere playing music the entire game without stopping, outshining the famous Timbers Army who create a more European type of soccer atmosphere.

The game was awesome. To top it off the crowd was intense. Both on the Club America side and Timbers end! The best thing they could have done was let the fans of Club America take in their instruments for more excitement and support. Especially being the visitors. It really showed character. I enjoyed myself. Great Stadium! Fun crowd!

With Portland Timbers single game tickets hard to get, we were fortunate to buy two tickets for a Sunday game, to see if we liked the travel and the overall experience before shelling out for a season ticket. Although we were a little concerned at getting non-assigned seats in the Timbers Army, it turned out to be a fantastic experience and we liked that we could pick a spot amongst but not overwhelmed by the passionate Timbers fans. Our view was good and we were soon joining in with the rest of the crowd, in some rousing songs and chants. The only blemish on the whole day was that the Timbers surrendered their unbeaten home record but apart from that, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back for more.
