Formed in Brooklyn, New York by an expat Ukrainian who has spent his whole musical life trying to preserve traditional Gypsy music, this dynamic performer has stamped his frenetic style on all who collaborate and join his journey. Eugene Hutz has long been recognized as a fashionable and stylistic one of a kind. Gogol Bordello's concerts are a nonstop and a powerfully professional presentation of their growing library of originality. Everyone in the audience knows at least one, if not many, of the pieces presented. The energy of the crowd is worth the admission. It speaks to the inner core of humanity. They burst on the scene with a bit part in a movie that starred Mr. Hutz called "Everything is Illuminated." They have never turned back.

The opening act, Man Man, was too odd for my taste, so we went to the bar, until Gogol Bordello came onstage. The show was awesome and full of energy. Lots of crowd favorites! Encore could have been better.

The venue is one of the best around. You can enjoy the view from the balcony or stroll down to the floor and feel the vibe with the crowd. The band had 100% energy throughout the show. I would recommend this band to everyone. It has a little of everything for everyone.

Gogol Bordello has the best energy of any band I've seen live. Its like they are pumping the crowd full of joy and then feeding off it in a beautiful cycle. I honestly have not had so much fun in my entire adult life. The happy glow stayed with my for days.

Gogol Bordello has always been known to have amazing live shows! So, going into the event I had pretty high hopes and expectations. Well, i am pleased to announce my expectations were met and exceeded. The cabooze is a great venue. I loved the outdoor stage and the bar was great.

I was familiar with Gogol Bordello when I agreed to go with my 19 year old son but hadn't spent a lot of time listening to them. Aside from the fact that the venue was VERY hot and there was poor air circulation, the show itself was amazing. You can't help but feel happy and energized when listening to them. This is the only concert I've ever been to where I felt the need to go out and tell everyone about how truly unique and entertaining the group/band was. There was a wide range in age groups from 8 to 80 years old. People were clapping and dancing like gypsies and just truly having a great time... you just can't help it when you hear these guys! I sincerely recommend going to see them if you ever get a chance. They have a great spirit!

I went to this show last year and thought it couldn't get any better. I was wrong. This years show topped last year. Gogol Bordello is hands down the best band I have seen live EVER! The outdoor venue at the Cabooze is perfect and it makes their show even more interactive. I would highly recommend this show and this band to anyone.

Gogol Bordello is one of the best active and involved live bands around. If you want feel like a participant in a show, you feel here like you are part of the music even thought you might not be one of the people who manages to sneak past the security onto the stage. bordello always sets the mood for a great workout. Fox theatre was prime for dancing and equipped with ample smoking terraces which were an amazing bonus. plenty of bar areas to keep you up and smiling. the crowd was too rowdy for me. too much mosh. wanted to see the band get passed around and Pam play on top of her drum like she was able to do at DeTour. Fans need to chill so the band can perform like they want to. so CHILL OUT next time and let it happen!

The band's performance was amazing as always. Gogol Bordello creates an ecstatic muse; the crowd was bouncing. The only problem created was when I left the dance floor for a drink of water from the bathroom's water faucet. When I returned to the pit a security guard told me no one was allowed to enter. I tried explaining the situation but it was senseless for the sound of Gogol Bordello's live performance filled the whole theatre. I retreated to the balcony which happened to be low to the ground and ended up jumping over the ledge as the introduction to Start Wearing Purple was being played. People began to rebel and soon enough a little less than half the people on the lower balcony ended up in the pit.

This show was fantastic! Not only was the groups music fantastic, the show was energetic, engaging and lively. The venue (The Pomona Fox Theatre) was superb. This was the opening night for the newly rennovated Art Deco Theatre. The acoustics were wonderful, seat ingwas unbelievable, and staff was freindly (did I meantion free parking?). Overall this was the best show Ive seen in years. Gogol Bordello does not disappoint and I look forward to seeing another show at the Pomona Fox soon!

This is the third time I've seen the absolutely AMAZING Gogol Bordello. But, it was my least favorite show. The crowd up front was okay, but there were quite a few in the back that were sort of being jerks. Trying to push is all part of getting up front, but this audience had more than it's share of people who didn't seem all that much into the music and performance. At one point Eugene was introducing a new song, and was telling people about a place he had recently been to in Turkey where old neighborhoods were being obliterated. He was explaining a bit about it, but one or two sentences into it someone yelled an obscenity to the effect of who cares about Turks... If you are a fan of Gogol Bordello, you know that the music is Eugene sharing his life and experiences and observations with the rest of us great unwashed masses. The lyrics MEAN something, and even if you don't understand the words the vibe of the music reaches you. I will go see them again, and hopefully there won't be as many people who just seem to be there for an excuse to drink, push others and yell out jerky things.

I Went, I liked. The Fox Theater is a grand place. What better band than Gogol bordello to re-open the historic venue? Gogol Bordello was raw, up beat and kept the audiance happy throughout the preformance. Much more than just a band, Gogoll bordello more closely resembles a traveling circus. I would recomend this show to anyone who enjoys an entertaining preformance and great music

I have seen these guys a bunch times, and they are great. This show was a real let down though. They played for half the time they usually play and the energy for the show was low. They typically play real hard and get unhinged early. I think it was the first show of the new tour, maybe they weren't warmed up yet. Ventura theatre right size, horrible sound quality.

This show was incredible. The opening act, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, had a real spiritual feel to their music, and it was obvious that they were having the time of their life. I love seeing bands have fun! Gogol Bordello played with so much energy and enthusiasm! The entire floor became a mosh pit of sorts; everyone was moving around, pushing into people, rubbing elbows, sharing sweat, screaming, jumping, dancing, and singing! It was incredible to be a part of that, although I should have taken necessary precautions and properly hydrated myself beforehand. It was a real work out!

Went to see Gogol Bordello with a group of 5 people. The openng back was questionable, but a couple of my friends got into them, so whatever. Gogol hit the stage, and they hit it hard. Eugene Hutz has such a presence! he can rock any beat and find something to resonate with the crowd to make it go crazy. Full crowd, too -- made for some great dancing. High energy, Pam and Liz were a sight to behold, absolutely loved every minute of the show (except for when i lost my glasses and when I was dry heaving in the middle of the crowd ;D)

Well, I got to the front row for this one, not exactly sure what to expect, but I had an idea. And I was right. It felt like I was in a human washing machine with all the moshers and crowd surfers behind me! We started with "Tres Leches", which turned out to be DJ Pedrito of Gogol. He mixed some wild house beats for us, and it was a grooving time. And then... Gogol Bordello came out and the venue exploded like a volcano. Eugene was the last to come barrelling out on to the stage, and they just kept up an Epic pace of almost non stop music. I was to stage right on Sergey's side, so I got a great view of him playing the violin and playing it up for all of us screaming ladies! Eugene was just all over the stage, but mainly center. I love the guy; within the first 3 songs he's already half undressed. And he had this most ridiculous bracelet made of crayons...I got about 50 good pictures of the show. Yuri was mostly over to the left stage, but did come over our way a couple of times to play to us, he was really cool. I got a photo of him smiling. And Elizabeth, well, she's just amazing. So beautiful, and a really nice lady. No, it was so insane I do not remember all of the songs they played, but they did play most of their popular songs, like "Start Wearing Purple", "Wonderlust King", and a really sexy version of "Alcohol". They did 2 encores. I think the whole thing was around 90 minutes, but it's kinda hard to tell the time from the pit when you're taking a beating. Time kinda stands still. But man, it was awesome!

Before seeing Gogol Bordello, I had people tell me that they are an amazing show to catch. I was concerned because I've had other bands hyped before and found them somewhat disappointing. However, Gogol Bordello delivered above and beyond the hype. I've been to a good deal of concerts, and seen bands of various genres and have found sort of a set of criterion for "rating" a show. Musicanship, energy level/stage presence, crowd interaction. Gogol Bordello delivered 110% on all three. Fantastic Music, so much energy from ALL the members, and great involvement with the crowd. It's rare to see a band that is this much fun to watch and seem to be having just as much fun doing what they're doing. A true love for both their music and fans.

Even if you're not into eastern European gypsy folk punk rock - or whatever Gogol Bordello's sound is - you have to see them once. They come out swinging and they don't let up for the entire set. I didn't know anything about this band but had seen the name before and saw they were coming to Bogarts. I saw the "gypsy punk" description and it sounded interesting so an easy check 'em out Friday night. Gypsy Punk is exactly the right description. If that doesn't help you, I will explain. Imagine traveling the world, hot, tired, broke, and not really sure what country you are in. As you walk through some anonymous plywood village, you hear music in the not too far distance. It sounds pretty cool so you head that way. Next thing you know, you are deep in a sweaty no holds barred party. Not many are wearing shirts, males and females. You don't know where the wine is coming from but it never ends. A short bit ago you were a weary traveler and now you're lost in a sea of intensity. Next thing you know, you are down to just your boxers and having a time like no other. You're not sure how the night ended but you wake up from the heat of the rising sun and realize even your boxers are gone. Others are still passed out but you grab some nameless shorts and venture towards some sort of civilization. To me, this is Gogol Bordello. A BAND TO NOT BE MISSED! And just in case, bring an extra pair of boxers.

Danced our butts off all night and terminal 5 is a great venue with a couple floors and balcony overlooking the stage. There's not a bad seat in the house. This is my third Gogol Bordello show and they never disappoint. The energy, the music, the showmanship is unmatched. The Wiltern does cut access to the lower level off after a certain number of people, regardless if you're GA, which prevents it from getting too crowded and (in the case of gypsy punk) too rowdy. It's a plus and minus.

Flogging Molly rocked it, only complaint was they did not play long enough! Not sure why Flogging Molly was not the headliner, but it worked out well, since we did not have to sit thru Gogol Bordello's entire set just to see FM! We gave GB 3-4 songs to see what they were all about and we were not impressed, couldn't understand a word they were shouting, just not our kind of music I guess. Mariachi El Bronx was ok for what they do, but once again not our type of music.

The first time I saw Gogol Bordello live was at the House of Blue in Boston, Most High energy show I'd ever been to, until Tonight. Gogol Bordello Definitely did not disappoint, ALL the Energy in the WORLD playing all the classics everyone expected and all the Fantastic New Stuff as Well, and a BLIZZARD OF CONFETTI AT MIDNIGHT! Best Way I could have spent New Year's Eve in NYC!

Cool venue poolside concert. Was able to get right up front (since I'm short this is a plus) and could see great! The band played a lot off their new CD, but also played many old favorites too. I thought the crowd wasn't as "into it" as past shows I've been too. Gogol Bordello gave us 2 hours of entertainment & and high energy music on a beautiful October evening in Las Vegas... A night to remember!

I've seen Gogol Bordello twice in Cleveland and once at Bonnaroo 2011. Although, the crowd wasn't feeling it the same way they were at Bonnaroo, it was a super charged, energetic gypsy punk rock masterpiece.

The energy and unity that Gogol Bordello brings is indescribable. Real music being played with a passion and zest for life - there's nothing like this band out there - I guarantee that! Gypsy punk may not be everyone's style but the lyrics alone make seeing this band an uncommon and unforgettable experience. The range and variety of the fans speaks for itself, but the general kindness and friendliness of the audience is something you never see at other concerts. This seems to parallel the range and variety of the styles of music Gogol plays. I will never miss an opportunity to see them. I leave feeling like I've been re-energized to tackle life with hope. Their opening act was fantastic too!!

Gogol Bordello destroyed the Columbus audience with their music of freedom, and passionate punk power. People were carrying each other off the dance floor at the end. So much energy and fun. We are still glowing from the experience. We've seen GB in New York, Columbus, and Tennessee. The Newport is the most intimate venue. We could look into the band members' eyes, and felt like they looked into ours. GB bears its soul, and we opened ours to them. GB will be missed until they return.

Mind-blowing, violent, uplifting, inspiring, and primal are just a few of adjectives that come to mind. True punk and a priceless show.

There are other bands and artists who I would consider to be more talented and creative. The "Gypsy Punk" genre isn't at the top of my list, either. Though the music is absolutely fantastic, I simply can't listen to it every day of my life. These statements aside, Gogol Bordello puts on a performance unlike anybody I've ever seen. The energy and presence they bring to the stage is enthralling and contagious. They manage to get every audience member up and moving without even asking. Even my friend and I, worn out from a weekend of debauchery, now running on fumes for a Sunday evening show, couldn't even hold ourselves back from dancing around with the rest of 'em. On top of that, most other shows I go to, (especially on work nights) I usually have had my fill by the time they wind down to their final songs. But I did not want this show to end. They ended it gracefully after 2 hours, including the encore, followed by a 5 minute goodbye to the audience. My only gripe about the show has nothing to do with the band, but more the venue. The music is wild and vast, and a performance of this magnitude deserves to be in the outside amphitheater, rather than limited to Stage AE's indoor concert hall .

The rain delayed the band from coming on for about 45 minutes and only allowed them to play for about an hour. A Burlington by-law prevented them from playing past 10pm, but I think that might have added to the camaraderie amongst the crowd. If you haven't seen this band or know about them...go see them, you'll never see or hear another band like them. Be prepared to dance and sweat your ass off.

That was my first time watching a show at the Variety Playhouse, and I must say it was absolutely amazing! Gogol Bordello put so much energy into every song, and their set seemed to go on for at least 2 1/2 hours. I've never danced at a concert so much in my life! The opening act did great as well, I believe they were called "And the Devil Makes 3".

This band is amazing live! Every time I see them I leave even more in awe than the last. I have never seen another band that can compare to their live shows and this one was one of the best. I wish I could quit all my responsibilities and just follow the tour around the world!

They played old favorites like "Pala Tute" and "Start wearing purple for me" and many wonderful new songs. They have added an electric banjo to their menagerie of instruments and Eugene played a wonderful version of "Ghost riders in the sky" on it (accompanied by the violin) during one of their four encores. Their energy and talent is extraordinary and their classical musical training makes this performance transcend ordinary rock music. I wish I could say I liked the venue (Philadelphia's Electric Factory) but that wasn't the case. It was mostly standing room.

I'd only seen clips & snippets of this group live via AOL's unplugged session & other pirated scenes from viewers at their concerts. I gotta say, it didn't matter whether you were in the front row moshing or in the rafters, these folks brought the house down. Even the snootiest of beatnik listeners forgot themselves & actually jumped & danced when Break the Spell was played. I loved it and would recommend if Gogol's downtown from you or a state or two away, get out to see them live. You won't regret it.

If you get the chance to see Gogol live, do it. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. They are one of the most lively, upbeat, kick ass bands I've seen in person, and if you get the chance to see them in a small venue, even better! This is the type of music where you don't need to know all the words to appreciate the beat and energy they share.

I surprised my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary with tickets. We had the most fun at a show we've ever had. The band was nice, willing to talk and laugh with their fans. By far the best anniversary gift ever and I have NO idea how I'm going to top this next year.

The Building was absolutely beautiful and there were plenty of beer stands at every turn if you wanted one! No lines. The band Gogol Bordello really put on an energy filled show and almost had like a play atmosphere the way they stayed out and bowed and hung out on the stage afterwards talking to people! It was a real intimate setting with the band. I absolutely loved it! Gogol Bordello never even rested between songs! It was literally one song after another with no breaks in between! I don't know how they do it?!

They are one of those groups that you have to see at least once on your life. I had never seen them and i am so glad that I went. Supporting Act Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls were worth the concert on their own. For both of these high energy bands to be on one bill was like having two fantastic headliners. Gogol Bordello came out punching and never let up for a second with their tight and right set. They really rocked. it was like seeing a rock n roll carnival act on crack. Just fascinating! I loved every minute of the concert. Go see them right now!

I went to this show mostly for Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, and got there late but saw both groups/artists in action and was THRILLED. Since both groups are headliners I wasn't sure who I was going to end up seeing but I saw both despite arriving late. It was a general crowd type, rather than there being any seats. There are a lot of places to stand upstairs though, if you would rather stay out of most of the crowd. There was so much energy on stage and in the crowd. The artists gave their all and kept the crowd very involved. I can't recommend these guys enough, and on top of it all I was in the right place at the right time and got to leave with a gig poster that I got signed by both Gogol Bordello and Frank Turner.

Frank is a rare talent and truly a rising star. His vocals are impeccable, his music and lyrics and hooky and meaningful, his band is tight (and easy on the eyes!), and his energy is off the charts. Frank and the band left it all on stage to deliver a fun and memorable concert. There's no doubt that super-stardom is in the cards for them, so be sure to see them now while you still can!

2nd time I see GB. This band's energy is tough to match. The crowd was really into it. The venue might have over sold tickets and it was tough to get a good spot to watch unless you wanted to mosh. I was with my date and that was not an option for me that night. I think there might have been two musicians missing from the 1st time I saw them and the band replaced them with 2 girls that were basically dancing, playing the washboard and Bass drum. More of a visual fix than musically but not bad all the same. They played for 1 1/2 hours total. One encore song, Wonderlust King was the best part of the show.
