One of the best concerts I have been to in a long time.

Collins was incredible as always and her Dreamers song was hauntingly beautiful. Too bad there were members of the audience who left reflecting their own bigotry. Stills vocals were on the verge of embarrassing. He s never been that strong, but fortunately he had moments where he was his old self; i.e. Somethings Happening Here. Overall, a memorable evening full of intense feelings from our younger days. The fact that the artists asked for a cell phone free performance and got it, made it that much better.

The Ryman was Amazing but the concert was terrible. Stephen Stills vocals and lyrics were garbled and at one point he sang completely different lyrics than Collins. Also the harmonization between he and Judy Collins was poor. They are wonderful legendary musicians and should be remembered that way. I think people were more appreciative of them from a nostalgic standpoint then from the actual performance.

Stephen was absolutely fabulous. He did the first 45 minutes solo. I can go on and on about the amazing sound of the combination of his unique voice and the Martin D45 acustic guitar that he's been playing for 40 years, but let's just say that is was more than a concert...it was a Stephen Stills performance.

Stills can still rock out on guitar, his voice however is shot. He was painful to listen to acompanied by only acoustic guitar, once the band came on to back him up it either muffled his poor pitch or he slightly improved, hard to say.

Let me start by saying that I am (or was) a huge Steven Stills fan since the late 1960's. I have seen him twice before this concert. One, in a huge outdoor venture after CSN split up(1973) and a second time with Crosby, Nash and Young in a 20,000+ sold-out sports arena. Enjoyed each of first two immensely! After the first song sung at the Ann Arbor, March 6 concert, I looked at my wife and said.. "uh-oh" ! We listened to about 5 more tunes, (two of which were another artists songs that I never heard), looked at each other and walked out . Of the countless rock concerts I have been to dating back to 1968, I HAVE NEVER WALKED OUT OF A CONCERT. Even the artist himself was self-effacing. He appeared drunk (or high), not all that unusual, but he kept trying to hit high notes on the register and it actually hurt to listen to him. We are very dissapointed and angry that an artist would come into town and try to push such an outrageous performance on his dedicated fans. It has changed the way I will view all aging rock artists in the future, forever.

Stephen Stills showed he can still captivate the audience with his guitar , his quirky wit, and his "haunting" voice. It was a walk down memory lane for me, and I wasn't dissapointed. His first set was with his acoustic, and the second set went electric...and really showed he still enjoys rocking....wheather it be his Buffalo Springfield material ..the CSNY gems...or his personal material. His lyrics were always masterful pieces of his soul, but they live on in his enthusiasm for his material, and art. Bravo to Stills and I went away totally pleased and singing some of his tunes in my head the rest of the night.

Stephen Stills was not at his best on Saturday night in Ann Arbor for a guy pushing 65 I suppose there are concessions but it wasn't his voice that was the issue his guitar playing was sub par and his bass player moved in very disturbing ways. His last two songs were his best Woodstock and his encore for what it's worth but they're not worth the price of admission.

The good points- --small venue --a chance to see an icon --friendly banter with the crowd, though not easily understood --good songs (but not well done) --good riffs but not sufficient to get the crowd into it. Few cheers or dancing The bad- --Stills' voice is shot--not good for the acoustic set to start --Seating is bad if you get a big guy in front of you--had to crane my neck into my neighbor's seat --could not get the crowd going. I could not wait to stand up or even move in my seat but it was not to be Stills said he hurt his finger--maybe that had something to do with it

Great venue. Incredible guitar work with excellent drums, bass and keyboards. Vocals were a stretch but he acknowledged his limitations and that made it just fine. Covered some other classics that he handled very nicely.

I have been a fan of Stephen (and CSN) for over 30 years... I know all his/their songs.. To be honest, I was not expecting too much greatness (I just saw CSN last summer), and I was right. I sill paid my $100+ for tickets.... My main disappointment came from the fact that Mr. Stills could not take five minutes after the show to say hi to the dozen of us who had hung around. About ten minutes after the show ended (without playing Love the One You're With,, which was on the set list, and of course no Judy).... Stephen came back out to the stage & completely ignored our polite requests for an autograph on the 35 year old album we brought.... That pretty much sealed any future desire I may have for seeing these guys in concert... Been there, done that, got disappointed each time lately... I still have my CDs...

Voice - it was a rocky start, but his vocal chords loosened up and I must say it was much better than expected. Obviously, he can't sing like he used to, but I think the stories surrounding his vocal demise are a bit exaggerated. Setlist - Stills did three covers - Dylan, Rod Stewart, and Traffic. I would guess these songs will appear on the talked about CSN "covers" CD. They were good, but I would have preferred to have heard him do his own material. Stills was a fantastic writer and he has a wealth of material to draw from. Unlike a McCartney or Brian Wilson concert where you "hear it all", I think you walk away from Stills thinking you missed some songs. With the right set of songs, a Stills crowd should never be in their seats! Finally, I did not really time the concert, but it could have been a bit longer.

Acoustic set followed by Stephen Stills guitar rifts that remain sweet to the ear. His wit and social commentary was consistent. He hurt his right finger doing 2 previous concerts and kept looking at it like it was going to fall off. Great place for a guitarist injury. We had fairly decent seats and it was wonderful being so close to this legend. Rock on Stephen!

Judy still has it! Her voice is maybe a little thinner, but she hit her notes with the same grace and clarity that she had when I saw her some 30 years ago under the stars at Waterville Valley. Stephen took a couple of songs to get rolling. It appeared that he had a cold, and it seemed that there was a problem with his earpiece early on. But he pulled it together. And his guitar still rocks. Together they carried us through many of their old standards. Terrific. But the highlight was Judy's a cappella rendition of Maria. The audience was collectively breathless. It was a very enjoyable evening.

As much as I'd love to say that Stephen Stills still has it in his 70's I can't. He speaks as if his dentures don't fit and thankfully his singing is overshadowed by Judy's voice. The 1st 2 songs it didn't even sound as if they could harmonize together. I was forewarned about Stills but thought I'd still attempt to see him since I had seen David Crosby 2 weeks prior. By the end of the show he seemed to get in the groove and then poof less than 2 hours later the show was over. Judy Collins on the other hand still has it going for her. I couldn't see her crystal blue eyes from my seat but her voice is still pristine. Definitely worth going to see if you don't spend a fortune on tickets

I sat to the right of the stage in Row G. It was as if I was watching the show in my living room. They are obviously good friends. They complimented each other. Judy Collins voice and Steven Stills guitar playing was a pleasure to witness. I saw music legends that appeared grateful for the enthusiasm and applause. A very good performance.

Sorry to say that Stephen Stills has no voice left.....the highlight of the show was when Collins had the stage to herself, as she still sings like an angel. But listening to harmonies on CSN, Buffalo Springfield or Traveling Wilburys tunes was painful.

It was nice to see Stills and Collins playing together and being happy on stage. They have a natural chemistry and compliment each other. Collins was particularly good. Her voice was in good form and she showed energy (for her age); notable in that she stood for the entire concert while Stills sat down at times. Stills' voice is mediocre at this point but Judy's voice often did smooth things out. A negative was that the sound of the theater was below par. Stills' guitar seemed muddy, the keyboard and base drowned out the other instruments much of the time. The mix seemed off and was never fully corrected. Stills' guitar playing lacked fluidity until later in the show when it really took off, particularly on Bluebird. It was great to hear them play a lot of their classic songs including Judy Blue Eyes Suite and For What It's Worth. The song selection was one of the best things about the show.. Overall it was a good time and definitely worth it for fans.

Not knowing at all what to expect, but curious (I had never seen Judy Collins live and Stephen Stills only in a band), I was very pleasantly surprised by this show. They performed together onstage the whole time, greatly supporting each others vocals and the respect (and affection) they showed for each other's work and each other was clear. One thing though--why do we have to have opening acts? No offense to this one, but I didn't come to hear him...

Stephen Stills was one of the best not only as a solo act but more as part of the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young "mega group" Judy Collins I was never a big fan of but knew her music. They both were great, Stephen 73 and Judy 79 and to be realistic, you are not really ready for that. You have a picture, a sound in your mind of years ago which just isn't there anymore. My wife and I both 59 were somewhat of the younger folks in the crowd. They played well, sang OK and the band was tight behind them. Will always love the music of Stephen Stills and as long as he can get up on stage and play, I will come and listen!!

My wife and I walked out of this concert after about 5 or 6 songs. Judy Collins and Stephen Stills could not harmonize their voices at all. We've seen Judy Collins by herself and she was fantastic. I don't know if it was the sound crew or the singers themselves. All I do know is that the show was a disaster IMHO.

The music was great! And the sound mix was nearly perfect. I never heard Judy Collins before but I loved her sound. I'm just in my 30s, but I've been a fan of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young for many years. It was great to see Stills in action. I did not care too much for the opening act. Some guy named Kenny played. He was a great musician (I'm a musician myself, so I think I can authoritatively say Kenny was musically excellent!), but I didn't pay to hear him. Also, I have to say this: I am a Catholic Christian, so I really didn't appreciate some of Kenny's lyrics which seemed to demean Jesus (something about "Jesus won't save me but music will). I reckon he would never have sang negatively about Judaism or Islam. But alas, he imposed upon us one of the last acceptable prejudices in America: a prejudice against those who believe in Jesus. He also seemed to demean the pro-life cause. I did not like that either. Stills and Collins? Great music, great songs. I hope they come back to my area soon!

Steven Stills has lost his voice and the harmony between Stills and Collins was terrible. When Stills sang solo I could only figure out the song from the guitar licks. Collins was, as always, in tune and has lost nothing. I did not appreciate Collins, political remarks, for I came to hear to hear her sing, I could care less about her political persuasion. Lynn Auditorium was good.

Being a bigger Stephen Stills fan than a Judy Collins enthusiast, I would have preferred more Stills songs. It seemed to me that Stills passed on many of his bigger hits for less popular songs in his portfolio. Also, what seemed odd to me considering that both artists have many of their own original songs, both played several songs that were made hits by other artists. As always, the Lynn Auditorium was a great venue for the concert and the sound system was fine. I could have lived without each Artists political views during the event and would have preferred to just listen to the music and light banter between Stills and Collins, rather than their obvious political slants. I guess in conclusion the concert was just OK. Maybe my expectations were a bit to high.

For a lifelong fan, this concert's principals were Judy's singing, Stephen's guitar playing, and the songs. All were there in abundance. Close your eyes and listen to Judy Collins' voice which, at 80, sounds like she is 20! Her pure tones and incredible range haven't aged a day. And Stephen Stills has long been my favorite guitarist. As on the Stills/Collins album, he played as well, if not better, than I've ever heard him. Although his solo voice is not what it was, singing with Ms. Collins unquestionably raises his game. Song highlights were "Helplessly Hoping", "Houses", "Handle With Care", "Bluebird", "For What It's Worth", "Who Knows Where the Time Goes", and Judy's astounding a Capella rendition of a song (unknown to me) about mothers and children, which was especially relevant and poignant. The final encore was, appropriately, the final two sections of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes." Fifty years in, Stills and Collins are still a good fit. Long may they run!

If you're a Stephen Stills and Judy Collins fan, this concert is a little slice of heaven. Yes, Stills' voice is not what it used to be, but Collins voice is and their close relationship is apparent. I was instantly transported back to the delicious musical days of the 60's and 70's! Judy Collins' voice was as ethereal and crystal clear as ever and Stephen Stills sounded terrific and can still rip and tear on his guitar as well as ever! We were all reminded that the political and social commentary of that era is as relevant now as it was then. All in all, it was a fantastic and magical evening that ended much too soon. As much as I love Stephen Stills, it's time to step down. His long time hearing loss has affected his performance to the degree that it is painful to listen to him. There is no question that Stephen Stills is still an amazing guitar player, whether on acoustic or electric. His voice, however, simply does not have the range it did when he was younger, and my feeling most of the night was that he should sing his older songs in a lower register so that he doesn't have to strain to reach the higher notes. But his passion remains, and that's what really counts. His backing band was tight, and the woman who sang harmonies on some of the numbers -- I didn't catch her name -- complemented Stephen nicely. It was an excellent evening of music.

This was the first time seeing Stephen Stills, and I had heard so many negative comments about this condition of his voice. However, he is not just a singer, but much more importantly a songwriter and guitar player (a VERY underrated guitarist at that). His vocals were a little shaky during the first few songs, but by the time of his acoustic segment of the first set, he had it under control and was using it well. As always, his guitar playing was stunning, and the set list could not have been a more thorough survey of his career, as well as key selections from Neil Young and Graham Nash. A couple key Dylan covers brought the house down, and encore closer of "Love the One You're With" was sing-a-long to end all sing-a-longs. What a wonderful evening with this legendary artist.

For all of you out there in Stephen Stills Fandomlabd, THIS is the year! Stephen is at a high peak in his career...I know for I,ve seen all solo shows over all of the years. Both he and Crosby, who I saw in April, are in fine, fine voice. In recent years Stephen took about three-four songs for his voice to 'break-in' but not last Sunday. Hot show, tight band, AND Stephen said there will be a new cd & tour from the Rides next year...Oh boy!

Seeing Stephen Stills alone with his own band again was surely a Stills fan's delight! From his opener of "Bluebird" to his encore of "For What It's Worth" and throughout the show his performance was magnificent. Surprises like "So Begins The Task," "49 Bye-Byes" and a unique version of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" just kept coming, along with lots of stories, humor and connection with the audience. The effort and energy that he put into the show, both through his musicianship and vocals (which were particularly in fine shape) brought the audience to it's feet, and in particular to me his guitar work has rarely been in such fine form! If you missed this show or tour I'm very sorry because it was that of a true legend with many miles left to go in his career. Thanks Stephen (and for the autograph too)!

Opening act great. Kenny White was unexpected pleasure. Sound ok. Stills & Collins different story! Mic s totally unbalanced. Her voice was great but couldn t hear him when singing together. Also his guitar was a bit muddy and one of the lower frequencies like A or E would blast, almost like feedback & drown out everything else. Had bad sound there before. John Cleese Holy Grail movie for example. Stinks to pay that much and have it nearly ruined by bad, unbalanced sound system.

Judy's vocals on "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" and "Houses" were standouts, and Stephen finally had a chance to stretch out and shine on "Bluebird". Riding back home on the ferry, watching the lights on the water, I could still feel the joy of this concert.

As much as i love Stephen Stills, the poor guy's voice is "Long Time Gone." Judy covered his flat vocals on duets and she did some magnificent solos. Many highlights - the greatest one? A fantastic rendition of "Who knows where the Time Goes."

Their voices did Not blend well. I would have preffered if they had each performed their own songs separately and only coupled on a few of them

They should have played separately and not together. They didn t sound good together at all. Judy should have sang her old songs. Her voice is still lovely. Stephen probably should retire from performing. Very disappointed!

Great performance. Beautiful venue but only if you sit downstairs. Upstairs has less legroom than an airplane seat.

I have seen Stephen Stills twice before with the most recent being eight years ago. He is not the same. At the beginning, his voice was not very clear. He seemed to get a little better as the show went on but he is nowhere near where he used to be. Judy Collins sounded pretty good. She has lost a little as she has aged. She sounded great compared to Stephen. Her songs were the highlight. Judy pretty much had to carry Stephen through his songs. It may be worthwhile to see them if you never saw them before. I would not go too far out of my way though.

The music and "banter" between them was charming. I enjoyed the Concert until they both got Political. It lost its luster for me after that. I didn't come for a Political statement, in fact I came as a respite from that. When I purchased the tickets they were best available in the Balcony but there were rows and rows if empty seats in front of me. This made no sense to me or the others around me. We all were miffed as we all bought best available...which they obviously werent.

Thought I would enjoy seeing these two legends. I kind of regretted attending the show. At times the music was brilliant. At other times stills seemed off, and the vocals of Stephen and Judy didn t always seem to combine well. The solo political song by Collins was quite a negative for me, while I respect her opinion, I don t think it was appropriate when some in the audience didn t share her views.

The concert did not include their greatest hits and included too much new material. The sound system overpowered the facilities.

A good mix of covers, originals and new music. We had incredible seats (row 4 dead center from the stage) Sound was a little distorted at first but quickly corrected. A great evening of my 70s memories and then some!

I've had the pleasure seeing Stephen Stills several times over the years but never had the opportunity to see Judy Collins. They should have gotten together professionally years ago!!! Ms. Collin's voice is just amazing. Her cover of Joni Mitchell's 'Both Sides, Now' took my breath away but her A Cappella performance of 'Maria' just BLEW ME AWAY! I believe it was the most beautiful song I've ever heard sung live! I really enjoyed the evening and everything about it and was not offended by some of the political things that were brought up because both artist have never taken a back seat when it comes to our nation's politics. Both have written several songs relating to that subject throughout their careers. So, to the guy who yelled out after Ms. Collins sang Maria, GET OVER IT! Her performance of that song alone was outstanding! Ms. Collins, you had me in tears! I was incredibly moved by your performance and the song itself! God Bless!!!

Drove 3 hours from Kentucky to hear them and was excited for the concert. Unfortunately, they used the concert as a forum for their personal politics. We paid good money to hear their music and NOT their politics - many people walked out during the concert because of their views.

All three featured performers I came to listen to - chose to be political "rabble rousers" while doing their concert. I strongly disagree with their political views and did not think it was professional for them to express their views to the audience during the concert. It was so extreme that my wife and I chose to leave Ryman Auditorium prior to the intermission. We paid a great deal of money to travel to Nashville, tickets, parking...etc. Very disappointing experience on Thursday, June 14th... Regret purchasing tickets to this show in February 2018...

This was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. Both Stephen and Judy were at the top of their game. Stephen did songs from the different bands he has been with. You want to see this show.

Certainly a show that has some history behind the performers. The play list was pretty good but you aren't going to hear al lot of Stills old classics. The ones you do here has Judy singing along on most. Stills did a tribute to Tom Petty on one song and of course his song about Judy. (Judy Blue Eyes)This changes things but all in all a good show. The venue can't be beat because the Ryman is the my favorite place to see a show when you are in Nashville. Doubt this show will ever be duplicated so all in all I'm glad i went...:)

Did not appreciate the intentional insertion of snarky political comments and the associated choice of songs used to drive their political views. I came to simply listen to, and enjoy their hit songs...for the most part, their concert did not provide that.

Stills can still play a very good guita. His voice was never a strong point but survived with CSN&Y. Not so much when exposed alone or in a duet with Collins. He is better when shouting as in R&R songs. His voice was a grave mismatch with. Collins, their voices did not blend and his distracted from her clear tones. Obviously the old stuff was nice to here. His good guitar work at the end with the bass player was great, The rest of his work less so. Her voice remains remarkable, especially at her age. Overall, show not worth the money especially after. The Ticketmaster surcharge

The Ryman Auditorum acoustics plus the pure timeless voice of Judy Collins and the genius of Stephen Stills made time stand still and we were grateful simply being in the presence of such gifted musicians, song writers, singers , and soulful human beings who helped shape the voices of the sixties! Wow--I had tears streaming down my face hearing Both Sides Now done with such beauty that you would never know she was in her 70s and during Stills' songs, we got to enjoy him alone as the master of the guitar that he is. What a rare treat to see them!

Wouldn't go see them again. Too much political talk, immigration, 2nd amendment, election, etc. I pay to hear the music, not listen to their political point of view. The opening act did the same thing, then Stills and Collins followed up with their viewpoints throughout the concert. As far as music, Stills' voice isn't what it once was although Collins' voice was great. Missed lyrics when singing together, just not what I've seen before with this caliber of musician. If I'd known what it was going to be like I would not have gone, I would stay home and enjoy the music from the old albums. Saw quite a few people leaving early as well.

Exceptional show from opening act on. Yet the mixer had Judy's mike a lot hotter than Stephen's and she would drown him out, and I know he has a voice that should be heard. Judy has the voice of an angel but it was a little much.

I bought tickets for a concert and it turned into a Democrat political rally, Complete with the same old tired Trump bashing. If you want to pay to attend a political rally this is a good idea, if not just buy an album and save your money. And remember when you go political you lose about half your audience. And this wasn't just me, I watched dozens of people walk out

They should retire, they sounded terrible. Left after the fourth song. When will entertainers learn to leave their politics at the door. Came to hear music not listen to more America bashing. And at the Ryman of all places!?

They re legends and you have to go see them. However, the quality of the show was disappointing. Time for them both to hang it up. And, too many political references. Pretty risky to slam Trump in conservative TN.
