Andy McKee

First time seeing this amazing guitar virtuoso. Just watching him tune for each song was something to behold. Unfortunately he was unable to bring the harp guitar, but promised to bring it on next tour. I will be there.

What a great show from a very talented musician! Wonderful music and such a personable guy. I loved the way he talked to the audience between songs while tuning his guitar for the next one. You don't find many musicians willing to stay after the show to meet, take pictures, and/or sign autographs for everyone that wanted one. A very enjoyable event.

This show was outright incredible! Andrew Gorny was a pleasant surprise to have included in the show and he blew the crowd away with his soft chants and groovy dance-inducing tunes. Antoine Dufour is so very humble with his music and showed his love for performing with his songs. Andy Mckee was very kind by introducing his fellow guitar players as the came on stage and played so amazingly that the crowd was left wanting more. All three were very informative about their musical influences and about the inspiration for their songs. After a standing applause, Dufour joined Dufour for a collaboration on stage. The only thing that would have pushed the show to the limit would have been a collaboration with Mckee, Dufour, and Gorny. I would have to give 6 stars for that. Well worth the price, the venue had great sound for their music, and I will definitely be seeing him there again when he returns.

Andy McKee was incredible! It seems impossible for him to get that much music out of one instrument at a time! However, seating at the Varsity theater stinks. It is first-come, first-seated, with not nearly enough chairs. To get a seat, you have to elbow your way in an hour before the show and just sit and wait, on the floor if there is a rush.

Absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend this show.

I first heard of Andy McKee and Antoine DuFour on Youtube. Rylynn was one of my all-time favorite songs of Andy's - although all were beautiful - and live they did not disappoint. All three musicians were personable, humble, and so talented. I loved that they didn't ramp up the audience, didn't obnoxiously announce themselves with showy lights and garish costumes. They walked onstage and simply dazzled us with their technical finesse. The songs they played displayed such emotional depth and completely mesmerized the audience with layers of sound. I would definitely recommend seeing these guys when they come through town again.

Andy McKee's artistic skill is unquestionably masterful; for this alone I'd recommend this artist to anyone. Moreover, on stage he is so darned personable and comfortable you'd think he was in your living room.

took my son to the performance at showcase live in foxboro. what an amazing performance by all three musicians.two and a half hours of non stop music.i would highly recommend seeing them preform.they all connected with the audience throughout the show,and signed autographs and met with everyone after the show. BRAVO!

I found out about Andy McKee from youtube like most people have, and seeing him in person was one of the most magical nights ever. I highly recommend you go check them out, and support these truly amazing artists.

Andy McKee was wonderfully fun to watch and listen to. He has an incredible ability to make difficult and technical guitar playing look easy and fun. Stephen Bennett's work was reliable, traditional, playful, predictable and I liked it. Antoine Dufour's percussive guitar playing was fresh, ingenious and creative but I need more melodic tunes. I kept thinking, "This is Yani on percussive guitar".

Guitar Masters they were; Andy Mckee, Antoine Defour, and Stephen Bennet. Sometimes the sound coming out of one guitar was enough to absolutely blow one's mind it was that good!

I've been listening to guitar music all of my life and I have never heard such wonderful music coming from an acoustic guitar - Thanks Andy, Steve and Antoine!

This performance was beyond my expectations. All three artists were amazaing and interacted great with the audience. I took my 83 year old father to this show and 3 days later he is still speaking about. Would go to see this again in a heartbeat.

this was a classic event demonstrating 3 different playing styles. Andy McKee not only plays with an uncanny talent he enjoys his craft and it shows. The countless hours of practice and their dedication to strive for excellence is amazing! What a great value to see 3 "Guitar Master's"

The performance was great. Very intimate setting. A very "unplugged" feeling, lots of crowd interaction and background of song writing. meet and greet after. Amazing. Venue was less than great. Service was mediocre, Food quality was poor. Combination of small bar and comedy club. Overall the performance canceled out he venue's issues. and tickets were cheap!!! if you get the chance, well worth it!!

Andy is an amazing guitar player and well worth going to see. His opener was also very good. I would pay to see him again. He was a bit arrogant though which was a bit of a turn off. Never the less a great guitarist.

What an evening. Great acoustical guitar music in a fantastic venue. Both opening act and Andy McKee played great sets. Took a chance on this show and I am very happy that I did!! I have never seen anything like this before. Wow, can he play those guitars! If you have never been to the Lincoln Theater, I recommend you go. It seats a little over 500 and every seat felt close to the stage. Even Andy commented about how nice it was.

Simply amazing what this man can do. Not only an amazing guitar player, but also an entertainer. Great connection with the audience.

First off, Andy Mckee is amazing is concert. Able to see him live was worth the $15 compared to youtube videos. I am a guitar player and musician myself which makes me feel more connected to his music in certain ways. The reason I give this concert a 4/5 is because there was no opening act, which I was led to believe there was beforehand by his website. Overall the setlist, his attitude, and his management of the concert solely was excellent. The event seemed somewhat disorganized but Andy handled it well. As always the Varsity theater was looking very nice, I wish I could go to every concert there.

andy mckee is a freak of nature. one of the best guitar players i have ever seen. not only was his music impressive but he was just an all around nice guy. the show was very impressive.

We were in awe the entire time watching Andy play. He was comical, sentimental, and completely unforgettable! We will definitely be seeing him again when we get the chance!

Andy is amazing, there's really nothing more to say about it. He's the top of the top, you never see anyone do the things he does. He's a YOUNG legend and will remain a legend for generations to come. Go see him, you're doing yourself a favor if you do. Amazing!

Must see Andy McKee at least once in your life. This was my second show of his I've seen at BB Kings, and it was not a show to be missed.

Owen started off the show and rocked the place. Andy McKee plays guitar like no other. I would highly recommend this show if you have a chance. Both artist's came to the merchandise table after the show and were very friendly.

My oldest son introduced me to Andy McKee's music after learning how to play a particular song of his off of YouTube. When he found out that Andy would be in the area, we bought tickets. A night out with my two sons (in their 20s) was amazing, especially listening to a great guitarist! What a great show!! Appropriate for all ages of music lovers! Loved it!! Great venue also.

Andy McKee was funny, engaging, enjoyable, and the most amazing classical guitar player I have ever heard

Our intimate evening with Andy was outstanding. They venue was smaller and made if feel like we were hanging out with Andy, not lost in a giant crowd. Food and drink was good too. Andy was phenomenal. I feel blessed to be able to share the gifts Andy was given, he is one of the few artists that can produce so much from a single instrument. If you have an option to see him, DO IT, you will not be disappointed. He is a genuine, humble guy with talent you need to witness!

This was my first time seeing Andy McKee. He is such an awesome guitarist! He has such beautiful songs that will lift your spirits. I highly recommend seeing him if you ever get a chance. He is definitely on my list of must sees when he is close to my hometown!

Both were phenomenal . Craigs guitar skills, and a little comic releif ,were fun to hear. Andy's amazing playing, are felt in my mind and soul ." For my Father" is a song that reminds me of the good times with my Dad!! And his other songs inspire me . The Harp Guitar is Awesome! Don't wait 2 years to come back!!!!

The music was outstanding!!! Only two downsides: there was a young child running around and being very noisy. Young children should not be allowed to attend evening concerts that aren't targeted at children. Parents should have better sense! The venue could also have been better. But, Andy McKee delighted his audience. Bravo, Andy!!

Seeing all 3 of these great guitar masters was a treat but, for me, seeing Andy again, was better than ever. His talent is endless and his manner so appealing that seeing him perform is a wonderful thing. Antoine and Stephen were great as well and so good but Andy remains my all time favorite.

Stumbled upon this guy at the local theater, and what a treat.. I had no idea what his music is like, and now I will never forget him. I purchased one of his CD's after the show and have been playing it for everyone I know!! Definitely see this guy!!

Super show tonight by the amazing Andy McKee ! He did not disappoint, he came out rocking his original composition - The Art of Motion, then kept the momentum going through other up tempo originals spinning tales as he retuned on practically every song giving us a seamless journey into his muse. He eventually settled into the popular Rylynn and then a nod to the late Michael Hedges with a fantastic version of Aerial Boundaries :) !! When he pulled out his Harp Guitar he commented that he had a good friend here in Jacksonville who was a great Harpguitarist - so that was cool to get a shout out from Andy encouraging folks to go see - and he said it - Steampunk Stace !! Muchas gracias amigo McKee! He killed his original "Hunters Moon" and was quick to fulfill requests such as Toto's Africa - where he has the polyrhythms of the percussion section and melody happening at the same time! To everyones surprise he performed an original with just a flat pick - and it was BOSS ! He busted my perception of a baritone guitar only being useful on slow tunes as he kicked out some Victor Wooten type bass lines on his originals - ending to a standing ovation with Don Ross's Tight Trite Night - a super closer - only to come back out for an encore with none other than Drifting - the original tune that put him on the map back on 2005 :) ! All throughout the evening Andy was the genuine nice guy he has always been, on stage or off, and even took the audience on a "road tech Monkey tour" story after breaking a string ( he was a road tech for the Monkeys at one point) ! It was great to see him in such good shape and with an energy level and wit that was off the chain. Andy is making history folks and will be remembered as one of the great innovators of acoustic music -right along with Michael Hedges :) ! Good on ya bro, aloha :) ! SPS

The Birchmere was the perfect place to see him play up close and personal. Great music and the guitar playing blew us away! Highly recommend

Andy really puts on a show, but also connects with the audience. And he's pretty animated. When he first came out and played Drifting, he was looking around smiling at people and making goofy faces. Listening to his albums or watching him on Youtube is wonderful, really. And even that does not compare to seeing him play in person. The sound was fantastic, and it rang throughout my body especially when he pulled out the harp guitar. I had the honor of meeting him after the show. I got a pic with him, and he signed my Art of Motion songbook. Overall, definitely an engaging, fun, and memorable experience.

We saw Andy McKee for the first time this evening. Of course the venue was awesome but when Andy took the stage it wouldn't have mattered if we were in a hail storm in the middle of a field. He was past amazing. His connection with the audience and the instruments is beyond words. His love and appreciation of musical expression was electric from start to finish...he makes music you can SEE...

Andy was excellent! There is nothing negative to say about his performance except it was too short. I was expecting it to last at least two hours with an opening performer, but there wasn't one and the show was an hour and a half long. The sound quality of the venue was pretty good.

Casual, intimate setting - No intros, just Andy and his guitars...he just walked out, greeted us and started playing! Phenomenal musician, he has such a sincere personality, you feel like you've known him for a long time. So glad I had this experience! Also, he looks great with his new fit and healthy body!

Would have loved if the concert had been just a little bit longer. A little over an hour was not quite enough time!! Otherwise, amazing crowd interaction and amazing performance. Highly, highly recommend seeing this artist again.
