My second time to see the Bosstones here in Htown. First time was at Fitz several years ago. They were non stop then and they were non stop now. They kept the crowd jumping. Great choice of opening acts with Los Skarnales and Kung Fu Monkeys.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones always put on their best shows in Boston. Always. The crowd and the band work together and feed off each other in a way that shows how much the band means to the fans and vice-versa. Their Hometown Throwdown concerts are so amazing that I fly to Boston every winter to see them. This show at City Hall was far better, though. The weather was perfect, the sound was great, and having a concert with the city in the background was just really enjoyable. But most importantly, the band was clearly having fun and the crowd was loving it. It was a celebration of Dickey's birthday and he was energized by the whole event.

What an amazing show: crowd surfing, stage diving, moshing....what more could you ask for? They even played a few songs possibly off their new album (a follow up to 2002 lol), and they were surprisingly just as good as their other 15 albums! The House of Blues, Anaheim was also great, with Bars lining possibly every wall. Mixed drinks were however, unsurprisingly priced at 8.50, but a cup of water = free.

The show was incredible! Dickie and the boys were on fire. My only complaint is that some chick with a Japanese name (she didn't look Japanese...whatever) was out of control and sick all over the bathroom. YUCK!

The show was great. Voo Doo Glow Skulls killed it as one of the warm up acts. Sound was good. Mighty Mighty Bosstones sounded excellent, and put on a great show. The Anaheim House of Blues was a bit small for this show. I don't know how many tickets they sell, but I'm sure there were some fire reg's being broken. Everyone was packed in like sardines down on the floor during the headline act. There wasn't even enough room for a reasonable pit or dancing.

This was my first time seeing Big D and the Kids Table. It won't be my last. Their energy was infectious. They are a lot of fun to watch. The musicians in Fishbone are masterful and put on a great stage show. Mighty Mughty Bostones great musicians, great tunes, great performers. The seats in the balcony are very comfortable, and the view is great. Perfect for a geezer punk like me.

The Bosstones played a great show. The band was energetic and they played their asses off. Set list was great and Dickie and Ben never disappoint with their stage performance. My heart hurts a little because I am missing Throwdown in Boston this year but at least I got to see this awesome performance!!!

I've only been around the St. Louis music scene for a short period of time, have never had the pleasure of visiting The Pageant, or seeing the Bosstones live. They put on an excellent show, I was not disappointed. I love the venue. For being a bigger place, it gives you that feeling of being in a smaller venue.

First time I saw the Bosstones was in 1994 in NYC, and let me tell you, they still ROCK the place HARD 20 years later. Such an EPIC show at the Fillmore in San Francisco, would see them again, anyplace, anytime, such good memories. We need more musicians like this in 2014, they are truly one of a kind, creative, and super fired up, even after 30 years of playing together. Dicky and the crew are a rare breed for sure...!!! I could write an in-depth review of the acoustics of the venue, along with a critique of how the sounds of the instruments blended together to form a glorious cacophonic sound, but my lengthy, thorough review would cut into your time, which you should be using to figure out where and when you can get tickets the next time the Mighty Mighty Bosstones are in town. Dicky Barrett and the boys really do put on a fantastic live show, and you would be remiss to lose out on the opportunity to see the Bosstones live. The BBQ was fantastic, but the music sent me home feeling full of joy and certainly left me craving more!

I have been to several Bosstones shows and it was definitely tons of fun to see them in City Hall Plaza on a beautiful night. We spent the extra money on VIP tix which included a meal and gave us access to the VIP bar/beer garden and port a potties :o) It was well worth it! IT wasn't the best Bosstones set I have ever heard but they definitely sounded good and I hope there are more shows in the same spot with the VIP access option!

I ordered the VIP tickets to the birthday bash. It was worth every penny! I was happy with the amt of space in the VIP beer garden. The service of the ppl working the venue. The music was amaing and exp loves Gaslight Anthem ! Fav BBQ place was AWESOME AUSSIE ! Cornbread to die for .... The ribs & pulled pork satisfied me more than the other BBQ places we tried .

Since the Bosstones have scaled way back on their touring; every show has become a can't miss event. They looked great, sounded great & seemed to still really enjoy getting together to play live music. As a fan in the audience; you feel part of a special community. The weather was perfect & the crowd huge. Since this was a single event w/ a time limit; I'm sure some people didn't hear " their favorite songs". That's what Hometown Throwdown is for.

The show started off great, and ended great! Jimmy Kimmel appearing, and playing saxophone on Mighty Mighty Bosstones song, "Knock On Wood," was the dagger in a very successful night overall! Only issue I may have had was that you could only use cash to buy anything, and there were designated areas to drink alcohol, which was sort of a buzz kill since u could really see the stage from there.

We didn't partake in any food or drink but the music was great! We thought it was INSANE to charge an extra $60 for the privilege of getting a beer and knew the food would be expensive so ate ahead of time. Opening act Barons Whitfield was good and Gaslight Anthem were awesome. The opening "film" for Dickey's birthday was hilariously entertaining. Of course, the Mighty, Mighty were excellent as always-They are such a fun band, bring their energy and enthusiasm to their music EVERY TIME they play. We love seeing Dicky Barrett and the gang play whenever they are in town.

The title says it all. I've seen The Bosstones at least a dozen times and they never disappoint. Dicky may be 50, but he's still belting out songs like he's twenty years younger. And I'll never know how the Designated Dancer keeps up that energy throughout the show. One of the best random additions to a live act.

Any time the Mighty Mighty Bosstones play is good, and a show celebrating Dicky's birthday is damn good! From the opening recorded bday well wishes from friends and family to the Dicky launching into a tune while the crowd sang happy birthday, it was a fantastic show. I could listen to the Bosstones play the same tunes over & over (and kinda do year after year at the Hometown Throwdown) and NEVER get tired of hearing them.

The show aspect was fantastic! Loved the bands playing. Was not, however a fan of the beer tent being far away and not being allowed to carry beer outside the tent area. Was unable to enjoy the show from there, and it seemed like it kept lines excessively long.

I grew up in Boston and always liked their music. I drove down to Atlanta from Charlotte to see them and must admit it was the best show I had seen in probably 5 years and I got to about 20 concerts a year. Very entertaining!

The Casino is a rough place to see a show in the Summer. It was easily 100 degrees in there, sweaty bodies everywhere, and a couple of people were on the verge of heat stroke. But the Mighty, Mighty Bosstones were amazing. They ripped through classics from their early albums, but also played some unreleased material that allegedly is for an upcoming album. The sound was pretty good. Vocals were a bit muddy but with these guys that's not an issue. The band was on fire and were tearin' up the set. Ben was dancing like a maniac with a three-piece suit - I don't know how he avoided passing out. The Casino also has their weird only one drink per customer rule. Which sucks if you want to grab a beer for a buddy or girlfriend You both have to leave to go get a drink, you can't switch off or generously buy a round. I'm sure this policy is to quell underage drinking, so I guess it makes sense. Although, it's not my favorite song - "impression" was the crowd favorite. The place was going crazy.

21 years between my MMB concerts and this one was right up there with the first. They still bring the house down. The Fillmore is still one of the best music venues in the Bay Area too. The whole experience was amazing.

I frst saw the Mighty Mighty Bosstones in the early 90s in Boston at Boston College with my older brother. I saw the Mighty Mighty Bosstones again in Seattle at the Paramount in the late 90s. At the Neptune Theatre the Mighty Mighty Bosstones still sounded as great as ever! My wife went with me this time, having never heard them before, and loved them, too! I love the brass in the band!

The band was great, tight, funny, shocking at times, playing new and old tunes, and a cover or two for old memory lane sake\u2026 The guests were quite the surprise, the openers were also good - some we hadn't seen in a while and were glad to see them again\u2026 The merch was cool, the crowd was kind, and the staff was forgiving. From one that has not missed a single of the last 16 Throwdowns (well, I always stayed in the restaurant part of the MiddleEast on the Sunday afternoon's of the all ages shows so the kids could get a chance to see Dickey and the bands)\u2026 I am hardly ever disappointed! This was not one of those rare moments (and can be said for all three shows)...

The opening band on this bill was apparently a friend of the bosstones, they were a punk band, very tight in what they did but overall very boring to listen to and watch. Sam Black Church took the stage after and in the 2 times they have played in the past 16 years they have not missed a beat, they were amazing from beginning to end, hands down the best band of the night. The Bosstones had a great stage setup and as always sounded tight as ever and the santa outfits and the fox news sucks shirts capped it off but the set list was lacking, knowing that night they were catering to a more old school hardcore crowd they should have stuck to early stuff off of Devil's Night Out and More Noise.... instead they played a long setlist of mellow new stuff that put a lot of the crowd to sleep including the 16 people I went to the show with, we all left long before they were done playing, if you get the chance to ever see sam black church again, do so without hesitation, hands down amazing as ever, my 43rd time seeing the band in my life and I will support them any time they play because they never let their fans down

went to both night 1 & 2 of the throwdown. As always i love the energy of the Bosstones, the Bounching Souls were an amazing opening act. Thought that the encore should've had some better songs though. Love them, i go every year. Keep on rockin' guys!

Went to all three shows and well worth it. THe MMB's always put on a top notch performance that never disappoints. Floor access is a must but don't get in the mosh pit unprepared.

Amazing show, but their shows always are the most fun to see. It was good to see a ska show again. Its been a while since they were here. Dicky stayed and signed and took pics with every person there. Such nice guys.

The entire show was amazing, of course I knew it would be, The BossToneS Killed it, as always! A big surprise of the evening was Groove Stain! Wow these guys rocked! I can't tell you the last time I actually bought a CD but this night I did. Groove Stain's Hit the Breaks was a pleasant delight. I've been humming the catchy melodies for 3 days. Check 'em out if you ever get the chance.

We really enjoyed the show, even though we got there shortly before the Bosstones went on stage. The band before the Bosstones was also fun. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Get there before 9:30 to see more of the show....

For the first time in over a decade The Mighty Mighty Bosstones returned to Atlanta and what a show it was. Soul Radics from Nashville started off the night with a great set. Fun newer ska band about to release their first record. Groove Stain the local boys rocked the house and got everyone really pumped for the Bosstones. Looking forward to seeing them again soon. Then the Bosstones absolutely killed it! They had the people going nuts and the floors shaking. Everyone was definitely into it. Hoping they realized how much Atlanta missed them and they come back soon. One of the best concerts of my life!!!

Grew up listening to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and had seen them 5 or 6 times during high school and college. 15+ years later and they are still amazing, still high energy and still fantastic. Had an amazing time. Only difference between then and now is the dynamic of the crowd. Everyone from age 10 (you kids have the coolest parents) to 70. Great time and The Masquerade was a great venue. Thank you!

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are terrific in concert. I go to see concert ALL the time, so I know a great show when I see one!!! The Casino Ballroom was HOT and these guys come out in suit and ties!!! One band member dance through the whole damn show!!! I can't belive he didn't faint because it was so hot! GO SEE THEM, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones continue to be awesome. The set list was great, the crowd was super into the whole show, Dicky plays to the crowd like no other, and no MMB show is complete with out The Bosstone rocking out all concert long. If you were not at this concert, then you are wrong. -AFMB
