The concert was too damn short!!! Courtney Love performed for less than one hour... and that one hour included the time she left the stage and came back for her encore

Courtney Love sounded just like I expected from her recordings! She had a mixture of comedic timing, synicism, sweetness, and balls! Great show!!! I even caught a beautiful, pink, baby rose bud that she threw... with my face. Love it!!

Courtney Love killed, slew and conquered. Amazing growls and gutturals seasoned with time. I never had so much fun in my life getting doused, screamed at and sang to: even found a stray bloom of carnation lodge on my almost non existing cleavage \u2014 at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas.

This woman at this club? Who thought this one up? Courtney was great though. Sang her heart out. Mind boggling why she played this supper club? I was just glad to be one of the lucky to see her.

It has been 18 years since I saw Hole perform. Courtney was awesome tonight, playing her a nice mix of her old Hole songs along with her new stuff. The House of Blues was a great venue, with an intimate feeling. Can't wait to see her again, the show was worth EVERY PENNY!!!

I went to the show not knowing what to expect. Everyone knows of Courtney's drug problems, and I wasn't sure if she had sobered up in the past few years. Well, it looks like she has, because she was at the top of her game! She looked great, and sang until the people in charge at the Sound Board cut her off. She interacted with fans and even sang Doll Parts at the end. My only complaint would be the opening act "Starred". They were so awful people were walking out. They couldn't even work their equipment correctly! The lead singer was so high she could barely stand and kept sitting/crouching on stage. What the hell was Courtney thinking??!? The show would have been much better if she brought only what people had come to see. Herself!

Courtney looked great and vocals were strong. Engaged audience, bringing quite a few people up onto the stage to sit for a couple songs. She sang the songs we all wanted to hear and her band was great. Lots of energy and more than I expected. Would see her again and Sound Board venue had excellent sound quality.

Courtney was in perfect girl power punk tune! She sang all her own great songs just like it was live studio. And the audience was sooo appreciative after not getting to see her for such a long time. A high gear loud goddam show with participation and blast had by all. I wish I could've seen her after the show to thank her for coming out Please come around again soon Courtney! Didn't forget she had a great band with her - really a powerful mix - a complete cast .

I love Courtney Love. I think she is the only woman rocker out there, maybe even the only rocker period. Her song-writing talent is unmatched. She seems sober, a little older and a little more mellow. Which is probably a good thing for her. Her octave-jumping scream (like her ex-husband's) is not always there. That's a hard vocal technique to maintain over the years. I've seen her before and she was not as severe as in her younger days. I would have liked to have heard a few songs from "Pretty on the Inside." Would love to hear: Rock Star, Sunset Strip, All the Drugs in the World, Goodsister/badsister, Teenage Whore, Drown Soda. God, I'd like to hear her do every song she ever wrote.

Part hot mess, part genius. She is who she is. That's what people love and hate about her. She was coherent, funny, only 30 min late and very accommodating to her fans. Her band (who is that drummer? Awesome ) backed her up well. Starred ruined the night. Terrible.

Last time isaw Courtney was at the disastrous 9:30 Club show a couple years ago. The Courtney who showed up this time was coherent and committed to giving a good rock show. Her voice was a little frazzled, but still, she rocked. So glad I went.

I have been a fan since the first time I placed "Live through this" in my CD player back 1994. This will be the fourth time I've seen Courtney Love perform and she was fantastic. I went to the show 2-3 years ago at 9:30 Club and it was a wreck of a show. I enjoyed it anyway because I'm a devoted fan, but I knew she was not in a good place again and the show suffered. But this time, she started right on time. (she was so punctual, I missed the first song!) And even though the top end of her voice was blown out, she soldiered on and still brought her signature scream everywhere it was needed. She looked healthy and seemed pretty chill, just wanting to jam. The band was tight and they played a great set list of tunes from the last 19 years. It was solid Courtney Love and I loved it. The crowd was typical DC dead weight. I hope she comes to Baltimore so she can feel some real energy.

Courtney was right on target. She started right on time and did all the big songs almost perfect. I was disappointed because she did not do any new solo songs. Overall the concert was good, but felt conforming given this is unpredictable Courtney Love we are talking about and not any given corporate puppet. Just expected a little more .

CL said it herself - she was rusty. Seen her before and she's been good. This show was too short (about 1 hour with the encore) and her voice was in awful shape. The crowd was into it though - most seemed to enjoy the set.

Watching these damn hipsters trying to groove to that awful opening band was like a scene out of portlandia. Courtney looks terrible and her voice gave out into the second song (mono). She screwed up the words to every song and trust me honey, I know all the words. I've been going to hole concerts for 20 years. I'm getting too old for this nonsense and so is Courtney.

Courtney does a great show. The opening date was in a small intimate venue. Courtney performed well, sounded great etc. I would have liked if she interacted a little more with the audience. The show did seem a little rushed and I had the vibe they wanted to get out of there. But that's what you get when you go to smaller venues. I expect as her tour goes on the vibe will improve. It's great to see her back and I'm looking forward to her new material! All in all her fans really enjoyed her show and her music. The opening band Starred could have used some polishing. They had a lot of issues with the sound system and at times it was a painful experience listening. The singer may have issues that I hope she cleans up. Quite a shame because it sounds like they have a decent style of music but their performance left little to be desired. Not what you want to see when paying for tickets to a show and not a cover charge at a bar on a back street. Good Luck to Courtney on your tour! Your FANS LOVE YOU!!!

Courtney Love is still one of the greatest rock stars in the world. What other woman rocks out like she does? She expresses her feelings and emotion through her music. It drives me crazy when people judge her based on old videos and rumors. Was she a little crazy? Of course! She is a genuis, musically. Her new stuff is completely amazing and she will NEVER fail to put one an amazing live performace! She is famous for pulling fans on stage during the show! Go hear a true rock star, your ears will thank you! P.S. to the reviewer who talks about Frances, please look her up or at least check out her Twitter account, she is highly educated and extremely respectable.

Courtney Love was simply at her best this night. There was no new music. Simply a show built for the die hard fans. Early on the crowd was quiet but quickly warmed up and got Courtney's attention. The show opened with the song Plump. A stellar version of Gold Dust Woman was also early in the set. She played the hits Miss World, violet and Malibu early on as well. Then she slowed things down with the ballad Letter To God. Then she asked the crowd what song they wanted. Asking For It was the chosen song. This lead right into the song Jennifer's Body. Celebrity Skin was next. Then it was encore time. The show really heated up with Miss Love doing an acoustic cover of the Rolling Stones Under My Thumb which seamlessly lead into the song Petals. The guitar player convinced miss Love to sing Softer Softest next. With help from the crowd Courtney delivered the highlight of the night! Beautiful Son followed. The full band was called back to play Use Once and Destroy and the show closer Doll Parts. It was a excellent show with a lot of set list changes that led to very rare songs getting played live. The opening band Starred was not so good. The female singer is definitely a Courtney Love wannabe.

This was my first time attending the venue and I will say...not bad. The energy was good and I didn't see any issues or altercations. I will say that Court has some die hard fans. I took my 15 year old daughter who is a fan and it was chill. The only complaint was the sound system. It was crappy. Once Courtney came out everyone came alive and sang every word to her songs. She did apologize for having a hoarse voice but she gave it all she got. She even said she would give us a refund. All in all I enjoyed the show. Oh one last thing....if anyone needs to change its the attitudes of some of the staff working the venue. Some need some attitude adjustments.

Been a fan for years, but this was the first time I've seen her. She's up there with Patti Smith for channeling raw emotion. Like early Patti, she's not overly concerned with singing on key, but it doesn't matter, with her charisma, great songs, and a great band. Her voice, however, is definitely not what it used to be. Purists will complain, but that isn't what rock is about. She put on an electrifying show. And she was sober! Focused and professional, she engaged the audience well. Definitely a treat. The opening act, Starred, was actually decent. Definitely a droning, shoegazing kind of music, but well-done and I got into it. And the lead singer did not seem overly spaced out, as reported in other reviews.

Courtney Love rocked the stage last Friday with mostly oldies from "Live through this", and "Celebrity Skin". She is still a true rock star, and her relationship with the audience was amazing. She kept on talking to people, and grabbed one guy on stage, followed by 20 other people who were lucky enough to see the a few songs, sitting in front of the drums!

Great show; but c'mon? After approx. 40 minutes....Courtney said goodnight and the band walked off the stage! She came back 5-10 minutes later; played 2 songs, then that was it! Less than an hour?! For $50? Any band worth its salt, especially on the smaller stage circuit, will play for an hour, take a break, then return for 3 or 4 more songs in an encore. Courtney didn't appear to be sober; the show didn't start until 11:45 pm; and this was the second night in a row at Vinyl in the Hard Rock Las Vegas. I wonder if those factors played into the short set.....buyer beware!

My daughter is going to begin her Senior year in high school Aug 26. In 'celebration' I purchased two tickets to the show because she has been a big fan of Courtney. At 57 I certainly know Courtney's story and have admired her from afar. Went into Vinyl at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas (where we live) not knowing what to expect. I WAS BLOWN AWAY. GREAT performance by Ms Love and her band. I was on of the few (and certainly one of -- if not the THE -- oldest member of the audience) that was not able to sing along to some of the songs (didn't know the lyrics). Courtney encouraged her fans to sing along at certain points and they did. She had the crowd of a few hundred in this wonderful small venue eating out of the palm of her hand. *** Her band was terrific. *** But what I came away more impressed with was the 'vibe' and 'aura' that was 'Courtney Love'. In her Life she has certainly had her dark and angry and chemically altered moments. (Who among us haven't at some point in our own Life?) She comes across as true to herself and gives off surprising warmth and good humor. From her interaction with her superb lead guitarist to her banter with the crowd. (At one point after she shouted to the crowd "F*** YOU! and they replied loudly in unison a lone voice shouted back the same line -- Courtney replied "That's only cool when everyone does it at once!") My daughter and I were right up against the center stage so I was able to see her up close and personal. Courtney possesses one of the easiest and warmest smiles I've ever seen on anyone. (I was not expecting a Courtney Love who handed out roses and showered her loving fans with rose petals. Although I was actually pleased to see a bit of 'punk' in her when she sprayed the same fans with water from her bottle) I entered the show with an open mind but was expecting the angry and growling version of Courtney Love. What I left with was an appreciation of her great music but a more profound appreciation of her spirit. Her smile touched and melted my heart and her music left this 57 year old feeing half his age.

I've been a fan of her for almost 20 years, I saw her several times, the set list was very short. The songs that she played mostly her best material "live through this" and "celebrity skin", she could have played a little more, only an hour and minutes, next time if there is no something extra like a meet and greet I don't think I am going. The food at the Canyon was good.

Basically anytime you get to be in the same room as Courtney Love and listen to her perform, is going to be a good time. That said, this particular time, I felt let down. She played an extremely short set, presumably because someone threw something at her. But I think she was over it before she even got there. She was tired and just wanted to be done. Afterwards, a few of us gathered to meet her and she just took off in a Taxi quick as can be. After playing such a short set, she couldn't even stop to meet a few of us? Starred sucked. They are terrible. Please stop comparing them to Hole or Courtney. They are nothing alike. I don't know how something can be at once so sleepy and so loud. And the lead singer was obviously stoned or drunk or both, she could barely stand. It's a good thing I didn't pay to see them because I would want my money back. Again, it's Courtney, so still worth it but I think tickets should have been cheaper due to shitty opening band and super short setlist.

Courtney was great at HOB! Great Set with some old surprises thrown in, Courtney seemed to be having a good time until the idiot threw the beer at the stage, which was pathetic. My only complaints: way too short, she didn't even play for 90 minutes, and unfortunately ignored her solo album when choosing her set list. But overall, I'd definitely recommend anyone who likes Hole/Courtney go see her if you get the chance.

Last Sunday night Love was in the air. True Love\u2026..Courtney Love! Finally after almost 20 years I got to see Ms. Love live in concert. I had tickets for the Manson/Hole tour 14 or 15 years ago but Hole dropped out of it before it made its way to Dallas. The other times she came to Dallas I just wasn t able to go. Love has always been one of those love her or hate her celebs, more seem to hate her. Sort of like an Anna Nicole Smith of music. She can look good, she can look horrible, she can have it together and be brilliant, but sometimes and a lot of the time she is a train wreck. Unlike ANS, Courtney does have some talent and ability. This show Love on her game. Energetic, feisty, professional, she had that attitude but was very humble as well. She and her band were very tight, and Courtney sounded really good. When she sang she sang well and she unleashed some of those trade mark screams during the show. I have always liked her music. There are 3-5 songs on each of the Hole albums I really like, It hard pigeon hole her sound as it has elements of grunge, metal and punk without being any of them. She has a distinctive voice like Stevie Nicks but she doesn t really sing much. It was a small crowd 300-400 possibly less but there was an energy to this show and the crowd responded. I wasn t sure what type of audience to expect. It was diverse that s for sure. There were a lot of women there that looked like they were Kittie fans when they were young. There were butch lesbians, and some dude that looked like they might hang at the Blue Oyster. There were more female than males. Some of the guys looked to have been forced to go, but then there were some older metal guys like myself that just wanted to check out the gig. There were many earthy looking people that looked like the people that I see in towns like Austin or Portland. One thing for sure is that weren t many attractive chicks there. Not that I care, these are just observations. I don t recall the entire set list but when looking at other cities our show seemed to be a little shorter, 70 minutes, if that long. At one point some dude threw a cup at the stage and Courtney got pissed and said we were only getting 2 more songs. We got a few more but our set was shorter than some nights. A chick then poured a beer on the guy that threw the cup prompting Courtney to stop the show and give the young lady props. I have always wanted to see Love in concert, she sounded good, it was energetic and I really had a good time. Some of the songs I recall Plump, Miss World, Skinny Little Bitch, Gold Dust Women, Violet, Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, Celebrity Skin, Dolls Parts. This show deserved more fans that it got. I think she should be opening for a larger act in front of bigger crowds. I do know that I hope to see her again.

She opened with Teenage Whore which there couldn't have been a better pick. She made fun that it was a dinner theater night and seemed surprised that people sat during her show. I guess i was too but i paid a pretty penny for my dinner(which was a bad wedding dinner- cold and tough) And the visit to the restroom was a read through the Courtney Love look book. All the stages of Courtney- and not very good ones at that. Over all this was a great show and intimate setting for Love. Would do it all over again.

This was the first time i saw CLove live and i was not disappointed - Courtney looked and sounded amazing! She sang most of Live Through This & Celebrity Skin. There was crazy energy & Courtney reached out to the audience several times which brought several people (including me!) to tears. I would have loved to hear some of the songs from My Body, The Hand Grenade, The First Session, Pretty on the Inside, or Americas Sweetheart...but lets face it, I'd want to listen to every song shes ever made! By far, the best concert/night of my life! I really wish i had a chance to meet her afterwards though. I'll be seeing her again later this month, very excited! As for the venue, it was so/so.. It was a dinner theater! Who sits and has dinner at a Courtney Love concert!? and as for the opening act, Starred, they weren't as terrible as everyone is saying - they had a shoegaze-y type of feel and i thought they were pretty good.

Courtney gave an average show she had problems singing at times she was losing her voice. Also, she only performed for one hour and that was it but besides that being in the VIP area and seeing Courtney up close and seeing her perform from where we are at was awesome. She still has it man too bad it couldn't be longer.
