St. Louis Blues Festival

Had a good time with my son, but was looking more for Blues than R&B music. I enjoyed myself, just a little disappointing.

I promised my 19 year old daughter the next time Mel Waiters came to town that I would take her to see him. She loves Hole In The Wall. Well, I was somewhat happy to hear that he was coming, but disappointed that it would be with the Blues Fest. You see, those artist get on stage and skim thru 2 or 3 songs and then they are off the stage to make time for the others who are to perform. The last 3 times I went to the Blues Fest, this is exactly what happened, but a promise is a promise, so we went. My daughter enjoyed "hanging out" with her mom and dad, and was really excited that even though she did not know the artist's names, she recognized a lot of the songs from hearing them in our home. Overall, it was fun to see her having a good time, but I think that will be my last concert unless I win tickets. Too much money and not enough performance. Also, those old folks need to put the shut to the up and leave all that unnessesary cursing and nasty talk behind closed doors!

Concert was good. My only complaint/concern is to have a different line up next year. Once the same people come people will get tired of coming to see same entertainers. I would love to see STL with a r&b concert of old school such as. OJays, Al Green, Gladys Knights, Spinner, etc. etc. that would be great!! The mc was great!!

I really enjoyed the concert. The time between each act was perfect. The food was good.

Had a blast really enjoyed the show!!!! Looking forward for to my next event.

This was one of the worst blues performance I have ever went to. I spent $160.00 for the tickets and parking and left after three performances. The music was so loud and so much base in the back ground it was not enjoyable. Had very good seats one level up from the floor level and moved to the nose bled section and it was still too to loud. We couldn't understand a thing the announcer was saying with all his jive talk. Seriously, I was sick from spending all that money and not being able to enjoy the performances. And the kicker was that we were having our anniversary date and left so discussed. Needless to say I will not come again nor will I recommend it to any of my friends.

Need to do better with the PA equipment. The microphones were going out on the singers.

I had the time of my life....GreatSeats (I was on the 4th row on the lower level!) The Only thing I can say is space the seats a little further apart...But other than that EVERY THING WAS GREAT!

Sound was terrible towards the end. Final three performances were terrible. Ticket price did not justify the event. Wish I could be refunded for this event at this location.

I have been to several blues concerts and I must say this was the worst. The performers did too much talking not enough singing...the sound was horrible...songs werr sung at a fast paced...the announcer was great and I loved the Manhattans...Performers need to at least sing 1 of there most popular songs...It was not worth my money...I hope if I attend next year it is better.....wasted money...very disappointed!

From the beginning to the end, the concert was outstanding. Music was great. Seeing Clarence Carter perform was to die for.

The concert was off the chain!! The artists really engaged with the audience.

15 min per acts wasn't long enough and took to long for set ups for the next act.

The Blues Festival was great. I enjoyed all the performance. I came to have a good time and did.
