This was a very amazing concert. Being hosted in the multi-level concert hall, The Masquerade of Atlanta, we were all in "heaven" as we watched this band perform, as well as the opening acts that preceded them. The band, as is their norm, made a comfortable, yet energetic atmosphere as they performed the entirety of their album "The Everglow" as well as other popular songs that they are widely known for (such as "Embers and Envelopes"). I have always enjoyed this band, and even more so in the past few years as they are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their first set of albums. I truly hope that they continue doing this for their other albums (Singularity, (M)orning, (A)fternoon and (E)vening, etc.), as any chance to see Mae perform is a great one!

This was definitely the best $25 I've ever spent. Mae has been a long time favorite of mine, but I've missed their previous Atlanta shows. No disappointments at all from this show. Great set list and delivery, and Dave is a legendary front man! We lurked around long enough afterward that we got to meet the band and get autographs. The guys are great, and I hope they can get at least one more pass through Atlanta on a future tour. Legitimately one of the best shows I've ever been to.

This was by far one of the sickest concerts I have ever been to. I'm definitely going to miss Mae, but at least I can get this concert on DVD and relive it over and over.

I've never seen Mae play a bad set! It's truly unfortunate that this is their "goodbye" tour since now they're even better than they've been on the most recent tours thanks to the reunion of all the original members. I'd travel 3 hours again to see them! Good show, good times.

This show really made me okay with them disbanding for awhile. The crowd was great, and the whole place was just filled with energy. They were so personal with us, and asked for our input a few times on how they should continue the show. It definitely made for a good time because we got to hear the things we wanted to hear. I'll miss them for sure, but like I said, I'll be okay with this being my last memory of them.

Mae was amazing. I really wish that Mae played for longer. The other two bands were alright and I suppose supporting acts are needed. The songs Mae played were great. A real trip down memory lane, allowed me to travel back to the times in my life when i listened to all those songs...

I was there mainly for the Mae show but I was definitely impressed with the opening acts. A local band The Mint opened up with a short set but were rockin' it hard. Windsor Drive was very good and Terrible Things was awesome. They have a lot of potential. Wonderful stage presence and just all out rockers. Loved 'em... Mae gave a great show. Nice stage set up. Everyone interacted with the crowd and got us into the show. Great stuff. Would def. see any of them again. This is your last chance to see Mae so if you have the chance, DO IT!!!

All of the opening acts were great, Mae was amazing! The sound in the venue isn't that great but it's a small club, I don't think anyone expects it to be fantastic. Would've been nice to been able to hear the lead guitar player better though.

This farewell tour was to say good bye to an amazing band, Mae. And they put on one heck of a show!!!!! They normally dont talk during their performances, but they really opened up and shared this last time around. Also it was a time to see new bands such as Windsor Drive and Terrible Things (with not so new band members), they both had put on amazing shows! Great concert all around. Middle East is open late for performers as well, 1:30 am : )

Saw these guys the night before in Hamden, CT, which wasn't really a good venue. The Middle East was very nice. Packed house that knew all of the songs for mae and some good support for Terrible Things too. Both nights mae played the hell out of the place taking audience suggestions for songs and knowing every tracked they played (out of a library of about 50 songs) and playing them great. They are fantastic live. Also found a great new up and coming band in Windsor Drive, the first opener. Had a phenomenal time. They're definitely going out in style.

While Mae was GREAT, I wish I would have known they wouldn't go on until a full 3 hours after the show started. I'm used to having lots of openers, but by that time I just wanted them to come and play and be done which is not how I wanted to remember a Mae concert.

Mae was amazing!!! Three opening bands was too much though. I loved The Breathing Tree, didn't like the others. There was either an issue with the microphone or the position I was standing in but we couldn't understand most of what the singers said/sang.

Easily the best concert I have ever been to. While only one of the opening bands was good, Mae made up for it in every way possible. They were great to the crowd, took requests, came onstage for an encore and played not one but THREE extra songs, and all in all seemed like the kind of people I would want to go have coffee with. Even the lighting was genius.

The 2 opening acts were really good. Windsor Drive was spot on instrumentally and vocally. Their live set is very professional, played with a backing track and accompanied by a nice light show. Very full sounding. Terrible Things were energetic and fantastic to see so many known artists playing together. Fred was spot on and a joy to watch and their performance was spot on. Mae's show was simply unforgettable. Playing near 20 songs, from all records, it was one of the best shows I've been too. I definitely recommend seeing this farewell tour before they call it quits. If you've been a fan since the beginning or have never heard of them, you'll love them. Music was terrific, vocals were very good, and their encore was enough to put me into cardiac arrest.

I am never disappointed when I attend a Mae show. They played a wide spectrum of songs (many crowd favorites). About mid-way through, Dave asked if there were ones we wanted to hear, and they changed the set list for us. It was a wonderful and magical night with five guys who love music and their fans very deeply. Also, Windsor Drive is an excellent compliment to Mae. I'm looking forward to seeing them again in the future.

Mae is honestly the best band. I have seen them in concert 6 times in several different venues and they always seem to impress me. They give you chances to meet them after the show too and it's awesome because they are really down to earth guys. The always put on a good show and you never know whats coming. I would highly recommending this to anyone because it's a fun relaxing band and their lyrics are awesome. just awesome.

Two of the greatest bands in existence together. you can not get better than this. Deas Vail really mellows you out with their mesmerizing vocals and piano, and perfectly timed guitar and drums. then MAE just takes you in and controls your senses with their Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience, they have some of the greatest stage presence I have ever seen, they really get the crowd into the shows.

The Record Bar was a fantastic venue for these guys to play in. During the bands before them they walked around amidst the bar, ordering drinks and heckling the bands on stage playfully. During the show they were friendly and funny. After the show they had easy conversation with fans. The show itself was very enjoyable. Their songs were played flawlessly. They had great lights and cool scenes projected behind them. They took requests happily. Most of all, they really enjoyed their work and enjoyed performing it for their fans. A great atmosphere with a great group of guys playing great music. Couldn't go wrong.

Before Mae actually got on stage, three new bands played, I was pleasantly surprised by Terrible Things they were really good. They had such enthusiasm for what they sang. As if they were telling a personal story. I highly recommend checking them out. Now for the other two bands I felt like they were not as good. I almost wanted to leave, but did not only because I came to see MAE, now MAE has been around for eight years, the indie rock band released Everglow in 2005 when I discovered them at the Troubador, Ever since then, I have fell head over heels with the music they create. When I first saw them, they had such a small following... Tonight at the El Rey Theater in Holly wood it is time to say good bye, the band is breaking up. I have been to many of there concerts, well every time they come to Los Angeles that is. The following they have has just grown, over time and what a dedicated fan base, most concerts I go to, the fans don't know all the lyrics they sort of know every other word and fubble along as the band rocks out. Mae had the whole audience singing along to every one of their songs,! It was beautiful. Towards the end you could see on the band members faces they were sad they did not want to leave stage and we did not want them to, Dave Elkins( vocals, and guitar) sang with such passion, your heart could feel the love he has for Mae music. They are a beautiful band with amazing talent and I am sorry to say god bye. Good Bye MAE

Over a two hour set, Mae played more than 2 dozen songs of which included pretty much all of my personal favorites and a bunch of older songs that the long time fans loved! The opening bands were fantastic to boot so all in all, this tour was amazing and I truly hope the guys continue making music in the future but until then, God bless you guys and have a great hiatus!

Mae brought nostalgia and great music. Not only was their music good, but they connected with the crowd. The opener, Mike Mains and the Branches was also very good. All Get Out was pretty brutal. The singer just screamed the whole time and the acoustics are pretty bad in there.

I've been a huge fan of Mae since the Everglow. I've been to nearly every show that's been in Virginia of theirs since then. They have historically put on a great, well-balanced show that shows a great deal of professionalism mixed with joy and self-expression. This was not the Mae I once knew. I didn't catch the names of their opening bands, but the first one was fantastic. Fun, upbeat, and knew how to get the crowd going. The second... sounded like a broken record after a few tunes. Everyone around me was feeling the same way - not a bad band, but... needed a tremendous amount of diversity in their playing. But what caught me really off-guard was that there were openers at all. No one actually knew that anyone was opening for Mae. Then Mae came on for their hour-long set. Starting off with a song from Singularity (uhm... why?), and queueing up the "welcome to the everglow" backing track 3 songs in was a little off, but I stuck with it. The mix in the room was mediocre, at best. The guitars were too shrill, yet, somehow, muddy. Heavier parts to the songs were weak and non-moving. The background vocals were way too loud and dry, and Rob's keys were almost invisible. All night, Jacob, Mark, and Rob (what I could hear of him at least) nailed it. Their playing was solid as ever, and they were enjoying themselves. However, the biggest problems came from the interplay between Zach and Dave. Dave was horribly off-key all night. Not enough that my wife with no musical background noticed, but enough that my ear couldn't help but hear note after wretched note being sung flat. Some of my favorite songs sounded simply butchered. And Zach... it's apparent he's been messing with his sound. As a musician myself, I can't fault him - I do the same thing quite often. But his new tone didn't work with Mae. It almost appeared like he wasn't even part of the band - like he wanted to show off and make noise instead, and solo instead of playing parts that the fans know and love. Between me and the dozen or so people around me from different social groups, by the time the finale started, most were gone. It was sad - I wish I hadn't wasted hours out of my weekend (2 hour drive from Richmond) to go see this mediocre performance.

Mae was spectacular. The band was clearly having a wonderful time; every song was done well and completely wholeheartedly. And the crowd loved it/them. They played a 3-song set, then played through their Everglow album, then played a 3-song encore. The NorVA was wonderful, the display was gorgeous, the crowd was friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This was my second time seeing Mae in concert(also saw them at their ten year reunion for Destination: Beautiful). I have followed them for ten years, ever since a friend showed me the Everglow. These guys are even better live and definitely one of the best bands out there. After the show the band came out and we were able to talk to Zach (the electric player) and to the entire opening band (Mike Mains and the Branches). Overall it was one of the best shows I've been to.

What an amazing show! Having been a Mae fan since 2002, I was a little more than excited to see them play live for the very first time. Not to mention they were playing their best album from start to finish! At first I was worried that it might not measure up to their studio recording, but God was I wrong!! They delivered on every song they played that night! If they have an audio recording of that show, I want it!!! It might be 10 years since they released The Everglow, but they made it sound like it was the first tour after its release!! Amazing!!!!!!!

Wow. Just wow. Not only were the other bands good, but Mae was phenomenal. They must have played for two hours, and they sound just as good, if not better in concert. I loved how Dave interacted with the crowd and how everyone in the band was contributing. The thing that was the greatest though was after the show, Dave and everyone came out and talked with us fans and it was just amazing getting to know everyone on such a personal level. All in all, it was the best concert I've ever been to.

Hands down the best performance I have ever witnessed. mae truly knows how to put on a show. It is extremely sad knowing it was there last show ever, stateside, but man did they go out with a bang. The opening bands weren't too much to talk about. The first Over the Ocean was a tad sleepy and sounded about the same throughout. City Voices was a bit better, but too much like Paramore. I would suggest voice lessons, though. Of the opening bands Rekapse was definitely the best. They had very good stage presence, and played a very good set.

The last show Mae will ever play. It's a sad thought. They've been my absolute favorite band for years. They've made me feel good when I felt down. The music inspires me as a songwriter. It makes me want more. Despite the sadness that came with this show that myself and a couple thousand others felt, it was amazing. The opening bands were all fantastic acts from the area, most of which I ended up picking up a CD afterwards from. Mae's show was videotaped, which I was highly excited to see. I'll be able to relive this moment for the rest of my life. You could tell they were slightly off musically (Zach, at one point, accidentally unplugged his guitar mid-song during some jumping around, and Rob hit the very first chord of We're So Far Away incorrectly), but they all laughed about it and it didn't get in the way of anything - they kept going. They had so much energy, gratitude, thankfulness, and happiness that it didn't matter. And frankly, so did the audience. I talk big about Mae, and how amazing this show is, but it really was a night I will never forget.

I went into this concert having no clue that this was to be Mae's last show. I was surprised by the quality of the music presented by City Voices. The second opening act didn't have their name as easily shown on their drummer's kit, but they had great stage presence. The lead singer put her all into her music, and the bassist had my chest reverberating like a good bassist should. Finally, Mae came on stage, and they announced that this was to be their last show. Some of the bigger fans in the audience appeared to be on the verge of tears. They ran a very long set, with three encore songs, and rocked the place until nearly half past midnight. I have seen Mae once before, and this was by far the superior of the two shows. I was incredibly impressed, and very sad to see them go.

This was the best concert I'd ever been to. Hands down. I got there early and was able to get a good spot right in the front at the stage. There were a few sound problems with some of the openers, but by the time Mae got on stage everything ran smoothly. They started with Bloom and ended with Tisbury Lane, then came back for a 5 song (or so) encore. Afterwards, they all came to the front and stayed for hours chatting with everyone. Overall, the performance was flawless and they were really able to connect with the crowd and deliver! I'm sad to see Mae splitting up after all this time, but the Goodbye, Goodnight tour was really the best way to end it.

I went to this show with my sister because she is a huge Mae fan. I on the other hand had never really listened to their music. After just the first few songs, I can not believe I was in the dark so long on this amazing band. Its a shame I got on the band wagon so late in their career as this is supposedly their farewell tour. I can only hope they change their minds and miss the road too much lol. Needless to say I left their a fan and will be jamming their music on my playlist now. I also was pleasantly suprised to love all the opening bands. Especially Terrible Things and Windsor Drive. Both of which have joined my playlist. If you have the chance you must see all live!

This was a fantastic show! The opening band Terrible Things had great stage presence and sounded great. (Windsor Drive had to cancel.) Mae knocked my socks off. They sounded awesome and played 21 songs for a set that lasted around 2 hours, but felt like half an hour because of the energy. They played a great variety of their songs and met with fans after the show. Easily one of the best concert experiences I've ever had
