Kaleo was awesome live, great sounds...a good mix of upbeat vs slower songs. Amazing voice, especially live!

If you haven t seen this band live you are in for an amazing time. They are full of energy, the music they play live is inspiring and the vocals ahhhhh just WOW!

I love Kaleo anyways but seeing them live is just amazing, this is the third time I have seen them in MPLS and I hope they continue to come back...they are just phenomenal!

Kaleo is a perfect word for this band....."the sound". They have their own groove, and are a WONDERFUL reminder of Hendrix and Zeppelin. They are TIGHT!! We will being seeing them again. Me & my boyfriend thought this event was absolutely GREAT!!! First we didn't even know about "The Wind & Wave " performing,so that was like a bonus! And they Rocked as did Bishop Briggs,and of course Kaleo was like not only the icing on the cake but the cake and the presents and party and all The ROCKED!!!! The singer has such an amazing voice and so many different pitches that it's like listening to several people sing,and he is extremely easy on the eyes!!!I thought all 3 bands complemented each other beautifully. We will definitely be back to Center stage for more shows,it's a great venue,just the right size and an easy going atmosphere!!!!Highly recommend the show and the venue!!!!! Well worth the money!!!!!!!

So glad we got to see them in a small venue, because Kaleo is too good not to be playing in major arenas real soon. Great chemistry and musicianship throughout the band. Lead singer, JJ Julius Son is a mega-talent.

Bishop Briggs was awesome!! Kaleo killed it, they are so talented and I was blown away. So glad I got to see them while in Atlanta, would definitely go again.

Kaleo is amazing live. I had hoped they would be, and they blew my expectations out of the water. Their album is fantastic, but live, you get the raw, evocative quality of their music in full force which is what drew me to them in the first place. The Duck Room feels like seeing your favorite band in a basement show, and honestly Kaleo is going to be huge, very soon, so I'm glad I caught them here when I did! They played a lot from the album, but also a lot that wasn't, which I can appreciate. Can't wait to see them again!

An unforgettable show to say the least! They had so much chemistry and so much passion!! Will definitely be seeing them again when they return to St. Louis!!

Honest to goodness, this was the best concert I've been to. The group doesn't have a ton of songs out as of now, but good god they sound better than they do on the radio. Such amazing talent. It's not a fancy show---it's all about the music. And they totally delivered. Hope to see them again.

These guys are going to be big! They sound just like their soundtracks, even better live. I hope to get a chance to see them again soon, even if it means traveling to do it. They are worth it! Also, I can't wait to see what new music they have to share.

Icelandic Gold. Having only heard a handful of songs before attending this concert, I walked in a) assuming their set would be short and b) hoping that the songs I hadn't heard yet would be half as good as those I had. Holy cow, we were in for a treat. This band blew their 90 minute set out of the water, keeping the crowd engaged every step of the way and showcasing their talent in what I can almost guarantee will be one of the last times they play a venue this size. This band is going up, up, up and away. Amazing vocals, stellar guitar, fun riffs, and enough drum solos to keep me happy. I would see this show again tonight if I could.

Kaleo did not disappoint. They did a good mix of their mellow songs as well as rocked out. Sounded great! Also brought along FireKid as their opening band, who was also very good.

I brought my coworkers to come see Kaleo with me after having seen them a few months prior in San Francisco and Kaleo did not disappoint. Such a great show!!! They sounded amazing in such an intimate venue like Bowery Ballroom!!! After the show, they stuck around and signed my poster for my coworker and myself. I would absolutely see them again!

Even though they don't even have a full length album out yet they blew me away with their talent and stage presence! They have such a great sound that ranges from folk to blues to good old rock and roll. I will be watching Kaleo closely since I think they will be big stars if they keep it up.

I didn't have vast expierence with Kaleo before this concert. They only have four songs available in the US, but I was thrilled to discover just how much material isn't available (yet!?). Their music is incredible; they have a diverse range of styles, and it's all fantastic. The lead singer has a voice to die for, and it sounds even better live. Additionally, they perform well live; the drummer is really fun to watch because he's so into it. Everything about the show felt sincere, and it wasn't overdone with lights or the usual bells and whistles. I've totally fallen in love with the band; it's one of the best concerts I've attended!

this event was perfect at the Foundry, as you could see the band up close. Kaleo are great musicians: outstanding vocals, original tunes. We enjoyed the concert very much.

Kaleo was excellent live. Man can their front-man sing. Great energy. Only drawback is the HOB. Visibility is bad at best unless you pay a crazy price for seats. The work around is providing screens that show a delayed video of the live concert. Well done. I would go see this band again and again, just not at the HOB.

Kaleo is one of the best bands playing the States currently. Amazing in every way. Awesome show every time.

Impeccable sound amazing show! These guys really know how to put on a show

The first opening band Wilder was hard to understand. Maybe their sound guy was having an off day. The second performer, ZZ Ward was awesome! I highly recommend seeing her perform. She writes her own music and lyrics and can play one hell of a harmonica, guitar, and piano. Kaleo was great! I've never seen them perform before and I was not let down. These guys know how to rock! I would like to see them again.

All musicians that night were outstanding - sold out show! We were seated in balcony right next to the wall - the sound wasn't horrible but wasn't the greatest either (where we sat) but during the show I stood in the center of the hall and the sound was much better. Love, love, love that we can see great concerts like this in Madison - so much better than driving 1-3 hours to a venue!

Kaleo is so good in a live show! I would definitely see them again.

All three music groups sounded like they are in a tin can. Very disappointed.

Major factors contributing to my negative rating... 1. Acoustics of the State Theater do not lend well to rock concerts, so Kaleo sounded very muffled. I couldn t make out many of the words in their songs. 2. ZZ Wards s lead singer had a bad cold and should have cancelled their part of the show, but instead the audiences had to suffer though her crackly/scratchy voice all so she could ensure she recieved full payment. 3. Very long intermissions between acts meant that Kaleo didn t start till almost 9pm. This is the venues trick to encourage more people to buy $10 beers, while everyone sits and twiddles their thumbs, and thinks about how much this extended intermission time is going to cost them in added babysitter fees, parking fees and reduced sleep.

Kaleo is phenomenal live! Love Kaleo s music and vocals, but dissappointed they didn t play the one song I really wanted to hear JJ sing live, All the pretty girls . Bummed.

This was my 4th time seeing Kaleo, which is always a great show, but this was the best yet!!!! ZZ Ward was also really great. Venue was great, clean, easy to get to. I wish I wasn't so short, it was hard to see, but I should've gotten there earlier.

Lead singer is absolutely amazing live. He nailed those tough notes. As good as or better than the studio-recorded songs on the album. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable performance, up close and personal with vocals that far outstrip their recordings. Energy was amazing, and the eclectic fan base couldn't help but be part of the show, spending as much time on their feet as in the seats. The opening acts were great, but JJ's vocals and the whole band's playing took everything to a new level. Absolutely amazing show!

Who knew that a couple of buds from Iceland could sound so amazing! These guys are definitely on the path to bring rock n roll back, and they're doing it with an incredible sound, exceptional musicianship, and a sound that's second to none. I absolutely recommend Kaleo for any event - small venue, auditorium, or festival setting. These guys got it, and I can't wait to see this band take off. The Ryman is the best place to view a show in Nashville, bar none. You're a little cramped sitting in the pews, but sitting in such a historic venue watching incredible performances makes you forget about it. Acoustics are amazing, (almost) every seat in the house is a perfect one, and sitting in the same seats someone once watched Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and other country music legends is a surreal experience. Fantastic venue for any show.

Kaleo had SO MUCH energy and I would argue that they sound better live than recorded. Yes, so much yes.

Venue was great for this show. Although it was big for this group since they moved from a really small venue in HOB to Open Air Theater, the sound did not suffer. Kaleo was great and sounds as wonderful as you hear them on your radio, player etc.

The energy and talent of this group was impressive. The lead singers vocals are something to behold~beautiful and resonant. One of the best concerts/performances I have ever attended.

This Icelandic rock band has a sound straight out of the gritty, soul-filled South. As spectacular as their A/B album is, their live performance is somehow even more amazing. You won't get over-decorated sets with disco balls and 500 moving lights, but their pared down stage set is hardly noticeable next to the powerhouse performance these guys put on for their fans. Get ready to have your soul stirred if you attend one of their shows, and you should.

Kaleo's meteoric rise is no accident. Each time they have scheduled a show in San Diego the growing fan base demand has required a move to a larger venue. This time from the 1200 capacity House of Blues the show was moved to the 4500 seat SDSU Open Air Theatre. The driving force behind the band is JJ's Powerful Voice and Amazing Vocal Range. From pitch perfect whistle, to the sweetest high falsetto, to the grittiest of blues to howlin', growlin' Hard Rock, no music genre is off limits for this gifted singer. Wherever JJ's vocals lead, the immensely talented band is more than capable of following. The band plays all genres with equal intensity and the pace of the show is constantly changing. True fans of music should appreciate this versatility. But I sense that in the diverse audience they draw, the Rock fans want rock all the time, blues fans want non-stop blues etc. Credit to the band for staying true to all of the music in their repertoire when there are always pressures to limit one's style.

Kaleo was so incredible. I have never been to a show where they sound exactly (even better) than their album. His voice is some kind of beautiful and combined with the whole groups talents it's literally just magic. I'm so happy to have found them!

This is the 2nd time I see this amazing band play. My 1st time at The Pageant, which I LOVED...! Not only the venue but the are where it is located. I live in Kansas City, MO., and I drove 4 hours just to see the concert and then 4 hs back home. NO REGRETS. Entrance control was fast and easy. People really nice willing to help. If they play they again, I'm in. Congrats!

These guys are still fairly unknown outside of the song from Logan and you should definitely catch them before they start selling out arenas.

We started listening to Kaleo last fall in Ireland and were thrilled to find the CD in the US. So when we found out they were touring we had to get tickets to a show! Kaleo was even better in person!!! We loved the performance.

These guys have such a great mix of rock, blues and soul. Great music, great show, and really good openers too. I drove 2.5 hours to see them play and it was well worth it.

I was looking forward to this show for a while and was not disappointed. Kaleo gave a solid performance. JJ's voice is unbelievable. I didn't realize who Bishop Briggs was but was pleasantly surprised at how powerful her voice is as well. I felt that the sound system in the venue was overwhelming but I really loved the sound... I must've missed the part on ticketmaster that allowed you to purchase seats instead of general admission-standing because that was the most uncomfortable part of the evening. I'd never been to Center Stage before and would've preferred to sit and enjoy rather than stand on cement for 3 hours. Still a really great show. The live performance of No Good was unparalleled.

I had so much fun! The music was great and the other featuring band Firekid was incredible!!!!

20 Monroe is a great place to see a concert. Smaller venue, excellent acoustics, friendly staff and valet parking!

20 Monroe was a great place with a great location and both acts were some of the best live music I have ever experienced!

I see shows all the time. I took my 2 20 something boys and a friend and everybody loved the show even though they had only heard a small amount of their music in the past. This is a great band that only has one way to go. My guess is they will be in much bigger venues soon. Glad I got the chance to see them now.

This was our second time seeing Kaleo, so I was really looking forward to seeing them again. Unfortunately this time didn't live up to my expectations. The opening performer was an acoustic musician. Nice music, but my husband commented that he'd never had to whisper at a concert before! It didn't really set the right vibe to start. Then when Kaleo finally came on, they only played for about at hour!! They only have one album, and they didn't even play all their songs. I was really disappointed by that. The lead singer also didn't have any connection with the audience, and everything seemed very rehearsed. I know these guys play a new city every night, and it just seemed like it was taking its toll. Hopefully after this tour they can get some rest and come back fresh, hopefully with some new music, too!

I brought my younger girls to see the show . No concerns at all about them there . They love Kaleo just like I do .

Drove 3 1/2 hours to see Kaleo (for the 2nd time) and, once again, they did not disappoint! This band is SO underrated! Their bluesy rock vibe is a damn good time!

This band is the real deal. All were very talented and music fantastic, it move my soul. The singer has amazing vocal range and control. Great blues rock. They sounded better in concert than on there album and the only other band I can say that about is DMB.

Kaleo is hands-down amazing. Venue great too- comfy seats. Wish the show could ve lasted longer; I would listen to them for hours.

Kaleo is this generations Zeppelin or Pink Floyd. They are absolutely amazing. JJ reminds me a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughan. His guitar playing is right there with Stevie and his singing is even better. We will hopefully be seeing them for years to come.

We had reserved seats in the upper section. The venue was great and Kaleo was terrific!! My only criticisms are that the opener was good but not great (he didn't match the mood or energy of Kaleo and was better suited for a writer's night) and I think they should have played a little longer. Still it was a great show and 20 Monroe is my new favorite venue!!

Kaleo was amazing. The opener Dan mangan was meh, I think he was a decent artist, but slow and boring for an opener, kinda drained the energy. But kaleo brought it back and we're great. I thought they were 10x better live than their album

Kaleo are an excellent live band! I only knew a few of their songs, and wanted to see them, based on those songs. They did not disappoint! Love their bluesy rock sound - they had people of all ages dancing and singing alone. Can't wait to see them again.

Venue was smaller than I expected which made the concert even better. They sounded amazing as well as the two opening acts. Will never forget!

I haven't been to the Tower since Robin Williams. Things have changed a bit and I was overwhelmed by the sound quality at the theatre. Kaleo didn't disappoint performing most of the songs in the current album. Not much talk but the sound, light show and music was excellent. Love his voice -- can't believe he didn't come from Louisiana. Opening acts were also entertaining and fabulous.

I love this group. The venue being in the smaller side allows you to really enjoy the show. I just thought they could have olayed longer. We're on only one hour

I know very little of Kaleo but love the Tower and went just for the heck of it. I was so impressed! Their sound was so crisp and strong, the vocals so distinctive and powerful. I was really blown away. It was awesome!
