Lucky Boys Confusion

This show was a 15th anniversary show as well as a memorial show to one of the members who passed this year. This show was everything I expected and more-- touching, but fun. Stubhy's vocals were spot on-- Probably the best I've heard him sing ever!

Love seeing LBC at HOB, Saturday was one of the best shows I've been to in a long time. Stormchasers is a great album and it was a pleasure hearing some of their new songs live.

LBC always puts on a great show but the opener The Dead Hands stole the show. They had an amazing set. Their frontman has a great repertoire with the audience and has a great voice. The songs were dynamic and everything sounded so different ...my wife loved the Usher cover.

I just moved to Chicago from out of state. I've been a LBC fan for a very long time, but because of where I lived I never had the opportunity to see them live! They definitely did not disappoint! My only problem with the show was that it was not longer!

I had never seen a show at the Double Door, mostly because it's a 21+ venue; however, I will definitely be back. One of the best smaller venues I've been to, especially w/ a small bar set up at the side of the stage so those close to the stage would not loose their spot by having to walk all the way back to the bar in order to get a drink. Now, on to the show. The opening acts were nicely varied in style. John Henry was not very good... tried way to hard to be the band from "Almost Famous." Steve Ewing, on the other hand, was very enjoyable... a mix of old school funk w/ touches of classic rock and reggae. Lucky Boys was terrific w/ high energy. Hearing the crowd screaming every lyric of every song made the earplugs come in handy even more than being 5 feet from the stage. Also, this being a record release show created an intense show w/ the crowd anticipating the new songs as much as crowd favorites.

Although the crowd gathered for the reunion of Lucky Boys Confusion, those that arrived late missed a knockout opening band - The Victory Gins. TVG will be back at Double Door on Saturday, Aug 1st. Do not miss! LBC did not disappoint and Steve Ewing brings amazing energy to his performances.

Me and my girlfriend went to this concert and it was great. Everything was good, even the prices of beer! There was no pushing and shoving, great sound system. Overall would go there again and would recommend anyone to go!

The boys put on a fantastic energetic and fun show. They rocked out just like back in the day. The new CD is also great!

After seeing LBC many times before, I'd never seen a cd release show of theirs, and I must say, they put on one hell of a show!! It's a shame that it was their last!

Doors opened at 7pm but I arrived at 9 pm hoping to catch some opening bands and grab a good spot to see the main band. I left at 11:30 pm still not having seen Lucky Boys Confusion. If I would have known, I would have arrived at 10 or 10:30 pm and mentally prepared (taken a nap before the show). I get up at 5am every morning to go to work....yes even on Saturdays.

Throwing the game front to back, followed by a few classics...crowd was great, band was great, the whole night was unreal

Started a little late with the opening acts but everyone was quality. Inept and The Waiting Game, and Penny and the Loafers reformed for a great experience. LBC is ALWAYS a fantastic show.

I liked the way the crowd got into the Lucky Boys Confusion songs. I didn't realize they had such a good fan base.

They played every song from commitment start to end and then some! Sounded great and was a great experience. Atmosphere was amazing and they sounded/ played great! Can't wait for the next show!

The floor was insane and people were so happy to celebrate 10 years since the album's release. The crowd hung on every word, every note, every beat... LBC played an extended set since the crowd couldn't get enough. Walked out with 20+ people's sweat and footprints on me, but I had the best time. Amazing show.

Huge fans! Great location!!! Had an epic time!!! Will acquire tickets again when they come back!!!! The house of blues is amazing building!!!!

Seats were general admission but we did the Jump the Line pass and were literally the 1st in line, both indoors and outdoors. We were able to get center, front row, on the barricades. The performance was high energy, while remaining somber and respectful of the reasoning for the show. The crowd was extremely involved in every song. At several moments, Stubhy had to stop talking between songs or put the mic out for the crowd to sing because of emotional flushes--which made me feel very connected to the band.

I have seen Lucky Boys well over 50 times and I have yet to see a bad show from them. Their performance was amazing and the energy from the crowd only added to how truly special both of the nights were. Well done.

This was my first LBC show. I waited too long to see them obviously. Now every time they come to play in Chicago, I will be @ the show. It was well worth the 2 Hr. drive to House of Blues. The whole crowd was engaged throughout the show. Come one come all!

The music was good but way too crowed to have to much fun. You couldn't even really dance in one place. They need to lower the amount of people they just let in.

I went to both shows and both were incredible. They did a great job of mixing up the songs. The vibe at the house of blues are great. Very intimate show. I have nothing bad to say about my weekend watching Lucky Boys Confusion.

I have been to quite a few Lucky Boys shows, and this one blew them out of the water. Between the acoustic performances, and the members of other bands coming on stage to play Joe's parts in tribute. It was stellar. And the openers were amazing as well! I love 15 Minutes late and it was great to see them performing together again!

Great show, great energy, great way to spend a weekend night

Doors were scheduled to open at 11, by 11:25 there was still a couple hundred people standing in a non-moving line in the freezing cold to get in. By 11:45....same thing. We waited in line for a solid 45 minutes before even getting inside the House of Blues! We completely missed the opening act (not heartbroken, but frustrating nonetheless). Once inside, it was nothing but watching the time tick by and it was close to 1am by the time they actually began playing. Glad we didn't attempt to take the train or arrange anything after this show because we would have been screwed. The show kicked off with a video montage that was pretty sweet, but impossible to hear the audio for it clearly. The show was nothing short of AMAZING as always. LBC continues to put on an incredible performance every single time for the past 15 years of being together, that's pretty impressive. LBC saved this rating from being a zero based on the experience getting into the building being a fiasco.

They are amazing. The slideshow to start off the concert had pictures of the last 15 years. Pretty cool, especially since I've been listening to LBC from the beginning. They always put on a great, energetic show.

Each show I go to gets better and better...always an unforgettable show! So glad to see them play for 15 years! More importantly, a great tribute to their good friend and band mate, Joseph Sell. Cannot wait to see them again on NYE!

LBC puts on one hell of a show but this one was amazing! They paid tribute to their fallen band mate Joe Sell while celebrating 15 years together as a band. It was emotional and unforgettable. It was a sold out show as the usually are but the crowd was even more hyped then ever before.

Lbc is always a good time. They put on an insane show and the crowd always gets really into it and the band feeds off it

LBC never let's me down. Never any complaints about them. The scissors, liquid got magma and mia were also great openers!

This specific show they all seemed to have the energy as they did in the older days. The crowd up front was awesome..not too crazy of a pit but still enjoyable. Easy to get drinks at this venue...and the show was sold out so it was great. First opener was unique and had powerful vocals! great way to start 2012!

State and Madison were awesome! They played great and also had a good stage prescence.

Not a huge LBC fan, but I was really impressed with the performance. Very energetic!

The show was phenomenal. Lucky Boys has been around for more than a decade but these guys just keep getting better. I've been to many shows over the years, but this one was truly special. Lucky Boys played some of their best songs and reached back to play some of their old songs along with some of the songs on Closing Arguments. Of note, they played Arizona Stand, Killians, and 40/80. The House of Blues is also a great venue for Lucky Boys.

LBC puts on one of the greatest live shows. They have so much energy and they always know how to play to the crowd.
