The current lead singer has a terrible voice, the lead guitarist thinks slide guitar is cool. The only bright spot, was the drummer. We left early before they butchered any more songs.

Even though only one is from the original Foghat, they did an awesome job... They played all their old songs and got the audience pumped up. They did throw out picks and drumsticks, but you had to be in the front center or second row center stage to catch them. they did come back with an encore. they played for 2 hrs.

i really enjoyed the show , they were very tight and fun. the audience though were like a bunch of fuddy duddys, i really had a good time, there were only a few of us rocking out and my back was killing me the next day but it was worth the pain, by the way i'm 51 and i loved it.

The sound and accoustics ruined the concert. Guitar feedback, could not hear vocals, unbalanced sound. While the band are no doubt talented, it was hard to tell when the sound was muddled and bad. Too bad it ruined the experience and made us not want to see another concert in this venue..

I thought all the members were very talented but this was the second time in the last couple of years that i saw them and its was the same opinion: I would not pay to go see them...they were musically talented and vocals were good but they did not play the songs we wanted to here except stone blue, slow ride and fool for the city...nothing from thier best album in my opinion Boogie Motel,,,also they drew out each song to the point you were wishing it would end...It seemed like the only played 7 or 8 songs total...they should have at least done a medley of some more songs..i was disapointed to say the least not enough songs ..drew them all out too way long ...I think they need to do at least a 2 hr show instead of what seemed like a litte over an hour...Im just glad it was free because i would of realy felt like i didnt get my moneys worth...I just hope the band reads this and revamps thier show,...then i might pay to see them, again...We arent getting our moneys worth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From t he opening chords, I felt like the guys still "had the touch". Granted, there have been personnel changes, but the current lineup of Foghat, including original member Roger Earl, sounded great, if not better than a CD. (Sorry, can't recall all names without researching). The event was "small", and it has to be "tough" for a group from the 70s to still continue to perform night-after-night, but they made it happen. Superb vocals, with a very strong lead guitar (former member of Wild Cherry). It was obvious (however the business is run) that Roger Earl will not let the Foghat name stray from their roots. The lead singer, formerly with Ted Nugent, had a solid voice and all the guys rocked My Babe, Stoned Blue, Drivin' Wheel, I Want To Make Love To You, Fool For The City and the encore of Slow Ride. While the small, quaint setting of Belterra is nice, is was not "good" for a group of this nature, although, the audience warmed up to them about halfway through the show. Keep playing the hits we love guys!

The "new" members (been part of 'em for years) are from bands I like, too: Humble Pie, Molly Hatchet...the sound is awesome. First time at this venue (Sevens) - I'll be back! Limited seating, buy tickets early for this "up clise and personal" place.

The band was terrific. The venue was fine. They could have turned the speakers down 1 or 2 notches. The waitresses were ugly and slow. They could have had some air blowing on the band. It was not a very long concert and the band members were drenched in sweat. Please make the band very comfortable so they will return.

The outstanding musicians that carry on Foghat's legacy continue to outdo themselves. Drummer Roger Earl was there at the beginning in 1971, and he continues to be the heart and soul of the band. Bassist Craig Macgregor joined Foghat in 1976, playing on many of their great albums including the eponymous "Foghat Live" album. Since Lonesome Dave and Rod Price are in Rock and Roll Heaven, we are blessed with Charlie Huhn (Humble Pie, Ted Nugent) on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, and lead/slide guitarist Bryan Bassett (Molly Hatchet, Wild Cherry). These four carry on the Foghat name with such excellence and spirit, we are fortunate to see them come to our area. They started playing at exactly the time advertised, and put on an 80 minute set (would have loved to see them play longer). Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Foghat!

I must say I enjoyed myself very much tonight. I was right up at the stage again and took photos and jammed. I went back in time with the songs and wished I had seen Foghat sooner. I really let loose and started dancing when the last two songs came on.. Great to hear them live instead of blaring from my car stereo. Looking forward to more concerts at Jannus!

The return of mighty Foghat produced a full house of rock n roll fans that felt like a reunion from the Fillmore days. The band was in fine form, delivering a sizzling 90 minutes of their famous songs as well as exciting new ones. Original drummer Roger Earl anchored the band's fantastic forays into blues and boogie classics. My personal favorite tune of the night was hearing "Road Fever" played full tilt and supertight. Brian and Charlie truly pay tribute to Rod and Lonesome Dave, especially on that tune. Would highly recommend seeing Foghat if you like your guitar licks tasty and rhythm dance worthy.

All of the songs you know and love but longer, heavier and bluesier. Great guitar solos and duels. The bass player and drummer are also awesome and look soooo cool. I liked our seats. Did not like people obstructing my view of the stage with their use of cell phones picture taking & video. They should sit in the back above the people. Sound was too loud to understand all the words. Why sing?? Suggest concert venue's offer free ear plugs. I'm a baby boomer and listened to all my generations music. Some good & some bad. People need to enjoy the concert and shut their phones off. Can you imagine what the artists think seeing you reading your text messages during their performance? Bet it makes them feel unimportant. I really loved the guitar battles from both groups.

Jefferson Starship was absolutely Incredible! Cathy Richardson, the current lead singer, of course was not the original Grace Slick, but if you had your eyes closed, it would be very hard to tell the difference. All tempos, highs and lows, everything was spot on! I would definitely go see them again, and I didn't really even go to this concert to see them, but instead to see Foghat, who I was not so much impressed with. Foghat did not keep a steady tempo on more than one occasion and was very obvious. The lead singer had too high a pitch of voice to replicate Dave Peverett's vocals, so was a bit of a let down on many songs although the drummer who was an original member rocked it! Overall acceptable, but if you are going to hear what you remembered back in the day from Foghat, you may be disappointed.

Left about 30 minutes into the show. The music was too loud and you couldn't understand a word the lead singer was attempting to sing. They sounded nothing like the Foghat I grew up on. I am a huge Foghat fan but for the original group not for this terrible knockoff. It was like watching horrible karaoke. This was the most disappointing concert I have been to in a long time. Foghat today is led by their original drummer Roger Earl and seasoned vocalist/guitarist Charlie Hunn, formerly the singer and second guitarist for Nugent back when he was playing big arenas after the departure of Derek St. Holmes. On this night at BB King's, Foghat was celebrating the release of their latest album and welcomed several guests to the stage over the course of the night. Foghat wine was available by the bottle and the glass, and the crowd was lively and engaged during the old stuff, the new stuff, the covers, and the jams. The band played a full setlist with no opening act and had the house rocking all night.

Though the skies were over cast and it looked like rain, Foghat came out with one of their foot stompin' hits to get the party started. There is only one member of the original Foghat (The Drummer) but he surrounded himself with some of the best musicians around today. They released their first new album "Under the Influence" in 20 years and played five songs off the album. They still sound like the original Foghat and has the energy to go with it. The 70's were good to us and Foghat is back to set the story straight, they are not going to go through life on a SLOW RIDE nor do they seem to plan to TAKE IT EASY as they came out swinging for the fences. Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready to rock? Let's hear it for "FOGHAT"

You could tell the drummer was part of the band from the beginning. He kinda looked like John Lennon. He was awesome. The band has had many different band members including different lead vocals. The first two bands were awful. Neither had a coherent lead singer. The Japanese dragons and the blonde on stage did not help the 2nd band's music. While the opening bands had pitch problems and seemed distracted, Foghat did not disappoint. They played all the hits and put on a hell of a show...and the meet and greet after the show just lets yo know how thankful they are to their die hard fans. Great show. Must see. I saw Foghat back in '74. This was like going back in time! Real rock & roll. The way it supposed to be played!!!

Expected Foghat first, BOC second - was reversed, no big deal. Both bands played their signatue hits which is what I came for. Sound was good and both were on cue. Sets were a little short; would expect about 15 min more form each.

Both bands played well, but they were each obviously expected to rush through a 40-45 min set. I understand the casino is interested in getting people drinking & gambling, but on a Friday night not giving each band at least 75 minutes is pretty shameful. It wasn't a concert; it was a concert sampler. I will not return to this venue. (Also you can't pass through any public area w/o reeking of cigarette smoke.)

Having seen both these bands from day 1 on their first tours I know what they are capable of. 2 hours after entering the concert to sit down I was leaving I was really hoping they would give both bands 1 1/2 sets, they were great for the limitations of the concert. After looking at set lists on line hope to hear Blue Oyster Cult do songs from the first album: "Cities on Flame with Rock n Roll", "Stairway to the Stars" "Then Came the Last Days of May" none were played. They did please the crowd with "Burnin for You" and "Don't Fear the Reaper". Foghat was loud and full of energy thanks to lead singer Charlie Hugh. Much like many of these types of concerts it makes me long for the early days.

As an old BOC fan, to see them again live was awesome. The set was way too short though. 5 songs. And that was it! No encore. I was never a big Foghat fan back in the 70's. For some reason, I always related their music to seedy strip joints. Having said that however, Foghat definitely brought their "A" Game to the show. They were beyond awesome!! Their drummer, who I understand is the only original member of the band remaining, was really beltin' it out. The guitar work was mind blowing. And man they were tight. The set list for Foghat was also way too short. Which leaves me wondering, is this the norm for shows at the Hard Rock Live venue?? -I don't know. As for value regarding ticket price relating to being satisfied, I and it seems to me, most people their were pretty disappointed that both bands, BOC especially, played only 5 songs. I personally think this has more to do with the venue. I paid $30 for the ticket, and the bottom line is, for what I got, it was too expensive. And I'm not blaming the bands. Oh yea, I forgot to mention, the house lost power during BOC playing Godzilla. But quickly restored it.

I was amazed at how well the members of Foghat sounded and performed in such an intimate setting at Lumiere Theater. Proves that the old guys can still rock after all these years (even though I realize it was not all original members). Still, I was pleased with their set list and it appeared that ALL were having a good time.

Had a unbelievable great time. This is the way to see your favorite bands from the 70's up close and personal. I will keep on coming and long as you keep bringing them. Ate at the Four Seasons Hotel. That was great too.

Small town fair in WI where Kansas was the main event on the grandstand stage, they were good but not compared with their past concerts, which is forgiven due to their age factor. Shortly after Kansas finished, Foghat came on in the miller beer tent a 100 yards away and only played to a few hundred people. Just as old if not older they were the main reason I was drawn to the fair and Kansas was ok but these dudes tore it up just like ufo last year at a small night club in Milwaukee. I saw Foghat in their prime and they rocked and 18 years later minus Dave Peverett they still rock!

We had a blast at this concert! Fabulous Thunderbirds also a lot of fun. Unfortunately we missed Canned Heat (the reason we came as my niece's friend's dad is in the band). She was late getting in to Detroit from L.A. as Spirit Airlines is the worst carrier EVER. Our seats were great and it was a fun night.

The smallest crowd in the last 5 years at DTE enjoyed Canned Heat, The Thunderbirds, and Foghat. Overall they played their hits and some blues. They should have played at a smaller venue but they were well worth forty dollars a seat.

I have seen both bands many years ago and was really impressed with the sounds of both bands, The seating was okay, I'll know which seats to get next time. Tioga Downs has a nice set up for outdoor concerts. If a good band plays again I am sure to return.
