Very disappointing performance on all levels. Although the singing was adequate, the staging, the production itself was very amateur. There was nothing redeeming about Forbidden Broadway. I felt cheated for the ticket price I had paid, approximately $95 for 2 tickets, including the processing fees. I left during the intermission and apologized to the person who I invited to accompany me to this show.

Although this show was adequately produced with the acting above average, it was quite silly and immature comedy at its "average"!! The overall show was not what I expected nor have experienced in the past as to something that "I would remember" and want to recommend!

What a talented group. Laughed until I cried. Fun and thoroughly enjoyable. Singing along with the songs and loved the play on words and great costumes - From beginning to end - it was great.

This was our first time to any production in the Des Moines area. We thought that we would give our new city a chance. We were pleasantly surprised at what we saw. StageWest did a fantastic job. We are still laughing today. You can't help but leave the theater with a smile on your face and talking about what was your favorite part. As I write this, a big ol' grin is on my face. I would highly recommend it. The acting and singing were great. As a matter of fact, take one or two friends with you. The more, the merrier!!!! Thanks for a fun time, StageWest!!!

Forbidden Broadway is a joy from the opening number to the finale. Four extremely talented performers (and an amazing pianist) lovingly poke fun at Broadway shows and theatrical icons. With familar music and terrific song parodies, the laughs are neverending. The fantastic costumes and props add just the right note. Time flies by way too quickly leaving the audience wanting more.

very positive experience. fast paced and delightful. Difficult to pick the best performer, as they all excelled in at least one of there solos. Characters played so well off each other, actually complementing each other. Voices and diction were strong and always understandable. Ccostume changes, of which there were so many was excellent, from the simple to the more complex. Energy on stage was transferred to the audience. Kept a smile on our face for the entire production.

This fun show was great entertainment. Even if you only have a minimum familiarity with current popular Broadway shows, you'll find the snappy songs and quick costume changes engaging. The performers impressed us with their ability to accurately mimic many current entertainers and their energy on stage was infectious! It was impossible to get bored as each song was performed with snap and verve, we loved it!

I've been waiting for years to get to see a production of Forbidden Broadway, and it was totally worth the wait. This production was especially wonderful as it is the 25th anniversary edition and contains some of the best numbers from the last 25 years. The cast is wonderful and the show is wildly entertaining. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is familiar with broadway stars and shows and who enjoys good jokes about them.

Bitter and funny. Witty and great singing! Laughed out loud--a lot. The 'talent' was amazing, the costumes spot on and 'wonky'. Loved it, recommend it, don't miss it.

Terrific! Great talent! Clever script, music, and costumes! Thoroughly entertaining! A huge show from an ensamble of five! It's very funny and irreverant. I plan to see it again the next chance I get, if only to try and catch some of the jokes I missed.

I laughed so hard last night that my face still hurts. To get the most out of Forbidden Broadway you really need to know what's going on on Broadway currently along with Broadway history. The crowd last night seemed to get most of the jokes.

It takes a minute to catch on to some of the songs, but the lyrics are tremendously funny and clever. You have to listen to every word, but it is well worth it.

Costume changes were amazing. These are the folks to call if you need to get dressed when there is a fire in your home. Their voices are strong and clear to the lyrics which have definitely been fractured. A fast paced event which was completely entertaining.

The performers were very good and versatile however the audio was much to loud and you lost a lot of the lyrics. Some of the satires were dumb, it's a shame, they have done much better work.

For more than half the show that was the question people in the audience were asking. Four performers, 3 mics, on stands, with cords. Who's sending this out, a real embarrassment especially when we saw "Big Fish" at the same theatre a couple of months ago, a local group, and didn't miss a word. Why? Body mics, DUH! I worked in NYC all through the evolution of theatre sound, a very good friend of mine was the first to put a body mic on, Anna Maria Albergetti, in Carnival. He was the toilet flushing in the theatre sound, a very new invention back then. It's been made to work. If only we had them last Sunday.

I enjoyed the "Forbidden Broadway" revue so very much. I was very impressed with the impressions that the performers did of other well-known performers. They were spot on and hilarious. This is an especially funny show for a theatre nerd such as myself. Of all the shows parodied, I had seen all but one. Ms. Williams was a stand out, but all the performers were excellent. Loved it!

The lyrics were all so clever. The simulation of the rotating stage for Les Mis was hilarious. Great impersonations of Liza, Barbara, Mandy Pitinkin, and especially Carol Channing.

I have wanted to see this show for years, but when I am in New York, I always go to the big shows. The cast was so fantastic that I could not believe it. The satire was clever and the words flew fast and furious. I especially enjoyed how the cast imatated all of the real characters. They sounded so close to the real thing that it was unbelievable. It moved fast and was over all too soon.
