Lyfe Jennings

I love love his show, he really interactive with the crowd. He shared his personal story with us in his songs. Me and my fiancé really enjoyed the show. Will go back to see him anytime.

Absolutely loved the show, his voice is amazing, could do without the women coming up on stage bumping and grinding, it should be straight Lyfe, the venue was nice and comfortable

I love the energy he gives when performing. He touched on several song but I felt his set was way too short. Lyfe is a great artist who gives you energy, real intimacy with his audience and overall a great experience. My only complaint is the opening act was nice but it went over 30 minutes which I felt tied into the performance of the artist we all love and came to see. I think 10-15min. max for an opening act (unknown/new artist) is sufficient and it should be around 20min. before main act performs to give them the full 1 1/2 set.

Lyfe was scheduled to show at 8pm----he didn't come on stage until 11:30ish....then when he finally makes an appearance he has no band-just a dj/hype man. He did more talking than he does on his album and proceeded to tell the audience that he's "doin bad ya'll ...really bad ya'll!!!" So rather than sing his heart out-he opted to pull some ladies on stage :-( I lost count after the 1st two started grinding on him and he even held his own singing contest where he gave 3 girls a chance to "show us their stuff/talent".... All in all i was very disappointed with the show, and can't believe that I actually paid for that performance....

Our tickets said the event would start at 8:00 PM. but Lyfe didn't start his performance until a little after 11:00 PM. The 3 performance before him were great. We enjoyed every single one of them , I even forgot I was there to see Lyfe for a moment. Once Lyfe came out, he brought down the club. He's a great performer, and what I like the most id that he interacts with the crow. I loved it.

I'm a big Lyfe Jennings fan.. This is my 4th time seeing him perform live. Band or no band he's an amazing singer.. Who says every R&B singer needs a band.. Lyfe is known for his acapella performances. How do u think he won @ the Apollo? He always gives 100% no matter what.. The tickets were only $35.. He was worth all that + sum.. So sad!!This is his last album and tour.. I wish him the best, When he's ready to return I'll be here to support him.. Fan for Lyfe!!

Lyfe was amazing. Although he went on late, it was totally worth it! For most of the concert he just sang acapella and not too many people can do that and sound good! He was very interactive and appreciative. He said this was tour and I'm sad because he really seems to care about the fans and is very ginuine. He came out after the show and took pictures with fans and signed autographs!! Had a great time, one of my favorites!

We saw this show at the House of Blues in Dallas. I go to a lot of concerts and this is the first R&B concert I have ever attended with NO BAND. There were no background singers either. Just a DJ who Lyfe reprimanded onstage for missing a cue. He kept singing acapella because there was NO BAND. During his acapella medley, he kept looking at a paper which I assume was the song list. We waited almost an hour for him to come to the stage and again there was NO BAND. How long does it take to setup a table for the DJ? I couldn't believe he had an Apollo style talent show in the middle of the concert. I actually liked his new songs and will buy his album, but I will NEVER pay to see another Lyfe concert.

I am an avid concert attendee and I have never seen an R&B artist without a band. Lyfe has 4 albums. He is not just starting in the business. A talent show in the middle of the show? He was constantly singing acapella because he had no band. At one point he reprinanded the DJ for not waiting for his cue. This was unprofessional and low budget. I loved his new songs and plan to buy the new album. However, I will NEVER pay to see him in concert again.

Lyfe Jennings was sooo amazing. I wish he could've sang a lil longer we drove 2hrs. Jus to see him I will drive 5 also. I dnt understand why he said this was his last cd???? Why Lyfe I still love u and Ur music make more don't stop:)

I love this show. The energy he gave off and the energy from the crowd was breath taking. God what more can I say. I'm still memorized.

As much as I love Lyfe's music, I could not have been more disappointed in a concert than I was at the House of Blues Saturday. It was awful, we stood for 2 1/2 hours listening to a DJ that we did not pay to see (don't get me wrong, he was really good), but I paid to see a concert not a DJ. After all that time waiting, Lyfe comes on at 9:45PM and was finished at 10:30PM - ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! Yes, that's right, 45 minutes is all we got for our money. 45 minutes of him, 2 1/2 hours of a DJ and 1 1/2 hours trying to vacate the parking lot. To top it all off, the audience sang what few songs he had on his play list, YES my friends, I said PLAY LIST. He kept going back to the table after every 2 min. version of his songs to see what he was supposed to sing next. Then he finally sang three songs from his new album and the show was over. Love your music, but oh so upset about that concert.

This was my first Lyfe Jennings concert so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it was more than I ever could have dreamed of! He sounds so much better live. I was sad to hear that this would be his last album as he has to decided to take time to raise his children which is actually quite admirable. Lyfe keeps it real and doesn't sell out for anyone and that is very rare these days. I really enjoyed the concert immensely.

I was satified overall! Dondria, K. Michelle, and Lyfe Jennings were all great! Only wish Lyfe had performed more songs! Show was late starting, and ended kinda early for my liking but it was worth it!

This was the worst concert I ever attended. The back up singer turned around and push play on the MPC player when Lyfe got ready to sing. It was a bunch of thugs standing around on the stage. The opening act Dondria forgot the words to her on song. The host "Big Sue" from K97 was drunk and laughing on the mic. Everyone should have gotten a refund.

The show was everything I expected and then some. This was a part of my anniversary gift to my wife. I can't do the show justice in words.

They really connected to the audience they made it personal to.

Lyfe is one of my favorite artist!! He put on an excellent show. He performed some of his hit songs and a couple of his new tracks that will be coming out soon. I loved the remix that he perfomed to Birthday Sex, which he named Funeral Sex. Being that it was Valentine's Day they took people out of the audience and seranaded them and it was amazing. I would recommend everyone to go to at least one of his concerts.

I love me some Lyfe!! His perormance was amazing, but I didn"t expect anything less from him! He always shut's it Down! His bigg hugg n autograph......PRICELESS!!! He is the Truth,and if you not up on it then i suggest u get wit it!!

late start ... not prepared. event was rushed , no variety in songs.

The club was nice but the tickets were way too expensive for the one hour show he gave, not to mention there was a ten dollar drink minimum per person. He said he had a new album coming out but didn't even sing his latest single. He didn't sang many songs at all. He came on about 820p and the show was OVER at 920p. I had a V.I.P. Booth on the floor and at first it was nice, but then they let people stand on the floor so they pretty much obstructed our view. He needs to sing more songs!!!

The setting was terrible and the food was over priced, and not to mention not that good. The show was excellent but could and should had been longer. The doors opened late and he came on after 8pm and was done by 9 something. Overall Lyfe did an excellent job but wouldn't go to another show here @BB Kings.

The performance from him was amazing. He sounds exactly like his albums and his voice is amazing.

Seating was beautiful and the drinks were good a lil pricey on food and drinks but otherwise atmosphere was great!

Lyfe Jennings talk to much doing the show and plus he didn't sing his old music that people wanted to hear. sounds like he was give a lessons to people. damn he is the one who need lessons on relationships.

It was my first time going to the Birchmere and it definitely won t be my last. I like the first come first serve rules that they enforce. The food was good and I love the intimate atmosphere. The opening act was Mr. Talkbox. He was very entertaining. He was full of energy and very talented. Lyfe was amazing. He only wanted to sing songs that the audience knew. His show was approximately 1 1/2 hours. My friends and I bought Meet & Greet passes to see Lyfe backstage. There was a 15 - 20 minute wait to get backstage. The meet & greet is basically only a photo op. A man uses your phone to take a picture of the two of you and then you re ushered out the room. The only disappointing thing is the man that took the picture was trying to rush to get people out that my picture is blurry. Not only my picture was blurry either, all my friends and the few people I asked after me as well. It was a waste of money to me, but that didn t take away the fact that it was an amazing show. I would recommend it, but if you do meet & greet \u2014- don t let them usher you out the room until you look at your picture. Maybe you can have them retake it.

Life Jennings was great! I just wanted him to perform longer than an hour! I want him to stay on stage at least 2 hours!

Lyfe Jennings had someone to cover for him a half hour, then that individual come off the stage. Then we waited another half hour before Lyfe Jennings came on which was 8:30pm, show have to be over by 9:30 which means he performed for one hour. Between each song he talked for about 5 to 7 minutes therefore, I'm not going to see him again. He can back off some of his cursing.

Unforgettable performance. He s an amazing performer and a prolific poet. I d listen to LJ sing a how to manual. What was disappointing was Mr. Talkbox performed from 7:30-8pm (good performance & I d seek out other shows). Who knew he was in the line up. Then there was a 30 minute intermission. LJ performed from about 8:30-9:45. Had I known I d only get just over an hour of his awesomeness I would have passed.

The seating was great. The box office clerk was very professional and polite. She really took care of business without any hesitation. I live the seating. The show was great, but the time limit should have been longer.

He started 45 mins late. The show was extremely short. There was no band plus audience could not understand one single word!!

This was the absolute worst concert I have ever attended. There was no opening act. There was no band or back ground singers. There was only Mario on the keyboard. They apparently did not do a sound check before the concert because the music was so loud I could barely hear Lyfe sing and the mics kept squealing. Lyfe kept looking at a piece of paper during his "performance" to see which song he should sing next. He barely sang any of his hit songs, but spent 20 minutes performing Al Green's, Let's Stay Together. There was a guitar on the stage, but Lyfe only used it to perform half a song. He spent most of the performance running and hopping around the stage. I truly felt like I was at a high school talent show, rather than a concert for an established artist. Lyfe did not give his fans the show that we paid for. AYE YO YOU, If Lyfe Jennings comes to a city near you, save your money and do not support!!

I am such a big fan. The songs I love he sang 10 seconds on it and spent 20 min singing Al Greens let s stay together. I just want him to sing his songs only. He keep saying I don t have much time which he could have had time if he was on time and not 30 min late. You could have song most of your hits with time to spear. I payed $100 each for my tickets but was worth $20. He can still sing and I absolutely love his music and voice but I do wish musician would respect people time, money and sing there own songs. That is the only reason we came out.

And finally the all time favorite was the last song sung with attendee participation. It was epic!

I was excited to see Lyfe Jennings. I really do think that you can feel his music, but I was very unhappy with the time we had to wait. The event was supposed to begin at 8 pm, but Lyfe wasn't on stage till 9:24 pm. That pushed back our other plans so we had to change our dinner plans and everything. Also, he had to rush through his songs and instead of singing his whole songs there were many that he just sang a few lines of because he was running out of time. I really do believe that there should be some type of partial refund given back for the inconvience of the wait.

First of all he was late af... then they had some wacko trying to tell dumb jokes to kill time. Finally once Lyfe got there he is rambled and did a lot of unnecessary talking.. read off a paper of what he might sing... sung a few song's and a few of someone else's song. It just seemed so unorganized. The performance was boring and we even left early. I really like his songs but his concert was wack.

Entertainer showed up over an hour late...then only played about 6 songs. Definitely, not worth the money spent.

He is very entertaining... you ll enjoy songs you ve heard, some never released, some that weren t top hits, and comedic relief especially if the audience doesn t show involvement. His voice is raw and amazing in person and sounds just like he does in the studio. I purchased The meet and greet... the lady prior to my picture got his attention with telling about a 16 yr old getting locked up.. that s a soft spot for him, therefore, my entire time to meet him was taken up by her. His dj/camera man of the night w our personal cell phones made up for his slack tho... he was was great! Highly recommend this show.

Was a good night, but there were too many Ametures on the under card before Lyfe Jennings came out, took up most of the time.... we came to see Lyfe perform for at least 2 hours, but we got 45 minutes, he did not sing half of the songs, because he ran out of time.

Lyfe didn't show up on time. The opening acts spent an eternity on the stage. The crowd was super disrespectful and ghetto. They were booing the opening acts and cursing them out. The concert was not worth the price.

I've seen Lyfe Jennings in convert several times. For whatever reason, he had the "Talk Box" guy spend 30 minutes entertaining us. Everyone at my table was unimpressed and felt like, we should have had that extra time for Lyfe to perform. Typically the Birchmere doesn't have "opening acts" and that is a practice they should enforce. Overall we loved Lyfe's performance, it's one of the better ones I've seen. The food was good and our server was timely. There really isn't a bad seat in the house at this venue.

I can't get enough of him on stage, I always want more. Whether he's on stage for 40 minutes to 240 minutes, I want more!

The Birchmere is the place for artist to get up and close with their fans! Lyfe was on point full of energy and man he sounded great he wanted to sing all evening . Best way to celebrate my upcoming birthday with friends lyfe gave us all life that evening

Everything was Magnificent, even though he ran out of time and couldn't do some of his other hits that I love it still was soooo interactive. He drew us in and at the end of it all we felt like we knew he even more than we thought we did before. Comeback to us Lyfe as soon as you can. Keep Christ Jesus First and keep fighting the Good fight we're with you!

Hubby and I have been wanting to see him perform for years now and we always seem to miss him. But we finally did it and it was well worth the wait. That was one of the best performances I have ever attended. I would definitely see him again. The Birchmere atmosphere is nice, food and drinks are good. Just hate that you have to arrive @ 5:00 for a 7:30 show in order to get good seats

Mr Jennings put on a spatscular show. I like the fact that he was able to bring out a new artist who was wonderful. He also brought out a singer who was someone from the audience. She was good. I see Mr. Jennings as a story teller more than an artist. I appreciate a good show and his was one of them.

Lyfe Jennings is such an amazing artist. He gave you your money's worth. I also had the pleasure of meeting him at my hotel and he was soo humble and down to earth. I would definitely go see him again. He is GREAT!!

I really enjoy myself to the fullest. WOW is all I can say to and about Lyfe Jenning performance, he truly rock the house and his voice is truly amazing!!!!!!! I was blow away by everything including the warm up or preshow whichever you want to call it hosted by the radio station HOT 103 JAMZ.!!!

The drinks were on point even tho I had to stand his performance was worth the stand.

I have been a Lyfe Jennings fan since day one. Last year was the first time ever going to a concert and Lyfe has me "hooked". I love his energy that he brings to the stage and the wayhe interacts with the crowd. He has such a beautiful voice when he sings.Even to the raspy voice gets your attention.I also liked the fact that he appreciates his fans to take pictures and sign autographs at end.

The show was cool. Lyfe Jennings was open with the audience and connected with them very well. The seats were very good as well.

I've seen him five times and this time was just as amazing as the rest. He had a cold and that didn't stop him from putting on an above standard show. Great energy, vocals on point as always, band and backup in sync. Just the best.

I LOVED the show!!!! Even more so, I was helping to escort Lyfe when he was on his way to the front to sign autographs & he didn't even realize he was holding on to my arm!!!! I'll NEVER forget it!!!! The only thing I did not like is how people could block the view of those of us who waited in line to get good seats by bum rushing the stage area! I feel that is SO UNFAIR!!!! Standing room areas should be BEHIND the tables!!!!

Saw him at HOBLA - and the night was the best night of the year! He speaks from his heart, sings from his soul, and puts on a hell of a performance! He shows his band and back up singers love - his voice is amazing LIVE even better than on the CDs, And you gotta a appreciate a FINE lookin man when you see one :) But seriously, I walked away from his concert with a smile in my heart, and he made me think about my relationships and ways that I can better myself. I highly recommend you go! and BONUS, he came out after and signed autographs and took pics! FOR FREE!!! what artist does that???? Bam!

Lyfe Jennnings showed up late but he put on a FANTASTIC Show! The DJ was AWESOME! He kept us entertained while we waited for the Concert to start! The House Of Blues is a very nice Venue.

Venue was perfect and from the DJ to opening act to main act was unforgettable. It was a real treat for me. Definetly go again.

I was some what disappointed in the show Friday night. After driving around for 45 minutes to find parking, when we entered the Varsity Lyfe was already on his 3rd song, we missed the opening acts and a few of Lyfe's songs. Had we known parking would be that scarce, we would have considered other options. Then for him to only perform for about an hour, if that!

Love the show. Live band and great performer. The best thing I spent my money on this year.

And the show is just worse and worse each year. No hype ahead of time, they keep letting Lavelle Crawford open and the crowd isn't feeling him. The sound system needs help. I have heard louder concerts in my bathroom shower. Its just not worth it for what we pay. Not even half to be honest. The radio personalities are horrible and look corny up on the stage....it is unreal. Bit those are just my opinions, im sure someone had a good time.

I went to this event for my 25th birthday and had so much fun is was unbelievable everything was on time and ran smoothly great performance by all performers.

I enjoyed seeing Lyfe perform, I saw him perform at the same venue; The Birchmere last year. I was dissapointed in the timeline for the evening, it was too short. I paid over $70.00 each for two tickets... Expected Lyfe to do more songs. Dissapointed

This was my first time seeing Lyfe, he was AWESOME. I would recommend anyone that would like to see a "true" singer.... Go get your "LYFE" you will not be disappointed.

Show was awesome. He is a crow pleaser. Such a humble and positive singer for women and very knowledgeable. I will send him again. Seems like a short time enjoying his show that I didn't get to hear a few of his songs but u need at least a good 3 hours lol.

The show was incredible! Lyfe is real and can truly sing. He is a true performer and can sing live. My only disappointment was I wish the show was longer. During this show, my wife was converted to a life long Lyfe Jennings fan. This dude is soulful, funny, and talented...end of story!

My wife and I have been a big Lyfe Jennings fan for a long time. We were really looking forward to seeing him perform live. Unfortunately, his show lasted less than 50 minutes with no explanation. The venue stated it was the artist's decision and not their call. For the price that we paid, this was not really worth it.

The concert was amazing Lyfe put on a great show with a lot of energy. The only down side was it was a little shorter than expected but still a really good time.

Lyfe was sensational in Detroit. He wanted us to stand up but at the FOX you can't, because you block the people behind you, and them tickets ain't no joke. Got to show courtesy by not standing up. But he did deserve a standing ovation. Lyfe if you reading this I have some things I observed from the audience perspective that would make your show even better. 1. Drop the huddle act. It makes you look either unprepared or it makes you look like you lack confidence that your band can't pick up on your cues of which song is next. Your band should know where you headed and have your back at all times. The huddle makes it look like you gotta flat out tell em. 2. The t-shirt and saggy jeans is cool for rappers but your r&b, you suppose to turn me on not turn me up. A turn on at a sit down theater or dinner setting would be how you looked in Talkin bout Love or Pretty Is video. You looked sexy as .... In that video, that's how I'd like to see you on stage. Because that's the kinda music you make. 3. If they don't give you a lot of time for your set, your audience don't know and don't care so don't say "I don't have much time" just kill it during your set with whatever time you do have, I don't want to feel like I'm getting half a performance because I didn't pay half price. But when you say that it makes me feel like I might not be getting my money's worth. 4. I bought all 6 CD's and know every word to every song. I like Al Green but I love Lyfe more and I want to hear Lyfe's songs at a Lyfe Jennings performance, not Al Greens. 5. Introduce your band, they look like they got skills, let me see em rock out a little while you take a deep breath and rest up a bit. 6. Sometimes I wanna see you stand still and sing the song and let me get a good look at you and just absorb you all in. You jump around and won't let me look at you. Stand still and let me look at how fine you are.

Mystikal did get us on our feet. I enjoyed him because Ive jammed to him since No Limit........NOWWW to LJ, I have been a fan since day 1. I was so excited to see him in concert again. He is amazing on stage! He not only performs but the messages are clear thru song and while speaking. I love LYFE!! He is the truth and respectful while on stage as well. I'm looking forward to seeing him perform many more times AND much more music!!
