David s opener Emily was amazing. She is a St. Louis native and has an incredible voice that is a mixture of a young Stevie Nicks and Kelly Clarkson. She took the stage around 8 and played an amazing Smokey Robinson cover. David and his band took to the stage a little after 9 and played an incredible set of old and new music off of his albums, the newest being Chromance which actually came out the day of the concert and completely took my breath away. David makes sure that everyone feels included at his shows. At times he will change the set because someone in the crowd wants a different song. He ll talk to you in the crowd and if there is a birthday and he hears about it they play some version of the birthday song. I got a chance to meet David during meet and greet and he is a total sweetheart and is so humble and down to earth he made sure several times during the meet and greet and during his set to tell everyone thank you for coming out to support him and that it truly means the world to him. If you ever have the chance to go to a David Cook show do it because I can promise you won t be disappointed.

I was totally blown away by the sound of NEEDTOBREATHE!!!! They were so talented and just fantastic! I wasn't expecting to like the opening band SO much! David Cook has a great personality and was glad to see him chit chat with the audience as much as he did. Vocally he was perfect. I thought the addition of some other songs was a treat! It was the whole American Idol experience coming full circle for me. I voted for David and bought his CD.I was happy to buy a concert ticket and help his career. He is truly talented and impressive! Looking forward to a long and successful career from him!! House of Blues is a GREAT venue!

My sister and I went see David Cook and NeedToBreathe at the House of Blues in NOLA. NeedToBreathe was a really good band and when they finally got to quiet the crowd with a no speaker acoustic, they were amazing. David Cook's voice was perfect. He sounded amazing. Unfortunately, it seemed that he didn't want to be there. So long as he was singing, he was perfect.

I watched and rooted for David Cook all the way through American Idol. When I found out he'd be playing one of my favorite venues, I was excited beyond belief. The concert last night did not disappoint. David is nothing short of amazing live. He played a set that lasted longer than an hour and was very interactive with the crowd, which is always a plus. I definitely recommend seeing him if he comes near your city.

David is an awesome performer. I like the small venues he performs at. He is personable and interacts with the audience beautifully. I love his music and the chrome room was great. I liked the fact that he was on a stage versus his performance at sunset last year. Looking forward to his next Vegas return.

David Cook put on a high energy, yet still very personal show in Asbury Park. Even though he is having some vocal cord issues and had to go on vocal rest immediately after the show, he powered through and did not hold back. His new band is very tight and they all sounded great together. He played two songs from his upcoming EP, including his newest single Gimme Heartbreak. Highly recommend.

David Cook is an amazing performer. He engaged the crowd and had a lot of fun. It was very cool to see him in such a small venue, right by the ocean. Awesome summer concert experience. He only played for about an hour, which I was surprised about, but again maybe because it was a smaller venue it was a shorter show. He and his band were terrific to see live.

David always gives us an unforgettable performance and he is always happy to see his loyal fans at his M&G's. He is always very personable and makes us feel special. He is a talented Musician and songwriter whom really over the years has only gotten better and being an Indie Artist gives him more creativity in his craft. Furthermore I have been following him and supporting his career since he won American Idol in 2008. Honestly I think he has the most sensual vocals as any Rock Genre Musician of the time. He really also knows how to connect with the audience and his new Album Digital Vein is stellar and showcases his different ranges and patterns with his songs. Each one is an ear worm and I really can feel the mood, his creativity, and can relate to how the song brings out an emotional, sensual, and sometimes erotic vibe. I just adore him not only as a performer but a person who really has the compassion for others.

Wow what an amazing eveing! First off I was actually on my way to Idaho for the burial of my beloved uncle. This was one of the best things to happen to me before I had to do this. The staff at this venue was phenomenal and David put on an amazing show. I can not tell you what a great evening I had and how I got one of my most prized possessions. He has new songs that tell strokes of his life and other inspirations. Go see him if you have the opportunity. It'll be totally worth it.

I have seen David Cook multiple times and this has to be one of my favorite shows! Maybe due to the fact that we got to meet him before the show at the VIP Meet&Greet?! He was so attentive and funny to each fan (all 150+ of us!) AND I was front row which was beyond awesome! Loved his opening up with Circadian and ending with Rapid Eye Movement. My fav part of the evening was when David was all alone in the spotlight singing his latest single "Fade into Me' with just an acoustic guitar. And towards the end of the song when he asked his tech to turn up the house lights so he could see us as he sang along with us. Wow, that gave me goose bumps! David Cook really knows how to connect with his audience. It's always a great time singing along to every song and seeing what cover song he is going to surprise us with. He has a gorgeous voice and awesome band and I hope they have a long future together in the music industry. They deserve it! PS. This was my first time seeing Gavin DeGraw. He was so sexy and funny all at the same time! He was sick but managed to belt out an awesome performance. Would definitely go see him again! The opener was Canaan Smith, a country music singer who looks like Kris Allen did an acoustic set with his guitarist. They were quite good and very friendly.

Carolina Liar (the opening act) sounded absolutely great live, and were cool enough to take pictures with fans after- they even mentioned during the show they would be down to hang with the fans after the show. David Cook was fantastic too, although it was an adjustment to hear his over 21 banter since he didn't have to censor himself due to impressionable children present- but he was entertaining and funny nonetheless. Still, amazing vocals, some really fun covers, and a great all-around show.

Everyone needs to see David Cook in concert. The live performance of David and the band is a great way to see what David and his music is all about. There isn't any big production, it just David and the band rocking his music (older, newer, and covers). David engages the audience with his easy going stage presence, funny banter, and rocking music. The energy of the show takes his songs to another level.

This was a terrific concert. He certainly let us know that he misses home (I'm sure the family has a lot to do with that). He sang an amazing 17 songs (including a couple if hybrids that combined songs). Love it when he really revs up the rock and roll sound. My 76-year-old mom is an avid David Cook fan. When the opporutnity arose for her to actually meet him he was so gracious and spent time with each fan. She felt as though she was the only one in the room when they talked and took their photos. My sister and I happened to peek into the auditorium at the right time and both David and his crew member (who was taking photos with fan cameras) told us to come on in so that we could be included in a photo too. What a great guy and he gave my mom a one-of-a-kind memory that will stick with her for a long time.

The man has a voice to die for...it gives me the chills! His band is amazing as well. I will buy a ticket to his concert anytime he is in driving distance of South Dakota! The venue was great! I love the more relaxed settings rather than a huge stadium where you have to watch them on the big screen. I was standing 30 ft away from him the whole time. Great event.....I wish it would happen all over again!

David Cook is a true rockstar who has the talent and the charisma to stick around in the music industry for a long time. David's been on a break from touring, and he's been working on writing a new record. This show was a one-off event, but you would never have known it. David and his fantastic band were sharp, and, if anything, they sounded better than ever because they were refreshed. Although David is billed as a solo act, his band - Neal Tiemann, Andy Skib, Kyle Peek and Monty Anderson - deserve recognition, as they are an integral part of the experience. David generally wins over new fans with his live performances, and this show was no exception. There were some in the audience who weren't familiar with much of his post-Idol music, but by the end of the show they were on their feet. David not only gave great performances of his songs, but he also charmed the crowd with his between-song banter, whether it involved telling a funny story or more seriously asking everyone to make as much noise as they could in support of the people of Haiti and Chile. I would recommend David's show without hesitation to anyone who likes a good rock concert. He's more than just an "Idol"; he's a star.

He needs to come to Tucson, but I really don't mind going to Phoenix. I saw him on November 3rd and he rocked the house. I have all his Axium albums and have realized what a truly talented person he is. From his songwriting and singing, I love everything about him .... from the day he sang on AI I was hooked and have spent and will continue to spend money on anything I can get my hands on (within reason). To say an artist is better live than on their album I think is a pretty good testament to his talent. Especially considering some of the acts that are out there... I am a lifetime fan and consider him to be the best thing since sliced bread. Can't wait for his next album and the next one, and the next one... If you have your doubts about him as a rocker because he was on AI...please go see him in concert before you judge him. You WILL NOT be disappointed and more than likely will become a fan.

This is a late review, but the concert was AWESOME - David Cook deserves his American Idol title! He was warm, witty, and AMAZING! This man can sing!!! I love this venue, as well. I have been to 27 of his shows this year plus 2 other live appearances, and have never been disappointed. He puts on a wonderful show, is personable and funny and just delightful. And that's on top of being a fabulous singer/musician. Every show has been different, so they never get stale and you never feel like you're seeing a rerun. His debut tour (154 shows - a record breaker by 34 shows) is over now unfortunately, but next time he goes on tour or just does an individual show, it's well worth going to see him.

This concert was just plain awesome! You could tell that the things that where being said where not re-enacted from city to city but instead where honest to the events of the night. He played a lot of really good songs, he commanded the stage and made you listen. You could tell he enjoyed what he was doing and he connected with the audience. I would definitely see him again. The Script had a couple of songs that I enjoyed and the others where ok. The band itself has a lot of talent though. I think they will go far. Green River Ordinance had some pretty good songs. What an amazing night with David Cook at Mahaffey Theater in St. Pete, Fl. He sang songs from his debut album and a few new ones, presumably from his upcoming 2nd album, along with some cover songs that he of course made his own, in the way only David can. I love how he can turn any genre of song into his own style. His vocals live are amazing and he is able to hold out notes for an eternity, on pitch. I had to notice the audience David appeals to, ranging in ages from about 3 to 75. He took time out to recognize a little local girl with cancer whom he met while he was in the top 12 of American Idol, stating that they had pizza together yesterday. Fame has not tarnished this down to earth artist, as he was able to carry on a banter that kept the audience engaged, and even after the show he hung out on stage to throw out guitar picks. I love David Cook. He did not disappoint.

This was my 4th Declaration Tour Concert and all the Guys were spot on. David blasted on to the stage with Hero's and went right into Mr. Sensitive, my fav, and kept it rocking all night. David was everything, HOT, SEXY, SWEATY, BREATHLESS, SENSITIVE, FUNNY and very Chatty. His covers are better than the originals could ever hope to be. Neal was absolutely GODLIKE, one of the best guitarist out there and a master at musical direction, definitely a legend in the making, the energy and excitement was absolutely awe-inspiring, Amazing! Andy, gorgeous..captivating. Awesome keyboards, guitar and what vocals. Monty was all over the stage, Rocking the Bass. Kyle, OMG, this guy is absolutely AMAZING!! I don t know how to explain it but it s like being transported to another world when he gets behind those drums. Totally mesmerized by his talent. I had the pleasure of a meet and greet before the show and just loved being able to have a conversation with David and The Anthemic. The time with Lindsey Rose was so precious. They Rocked the old Opera House and gave it a new vibe. Going to Orlando tonight to rock out some more with this Awesome Band.

Never underestimate the power of an opening act to teach you the way it is suppose to be done. The Script stole the show for me - Highly engaging, personable, 100% there. Admittedly, David Cook said this was his 150th show but I'm guessing the others have toured equally as much. And, never having seen him live, maybe this was his best. His set lacked variety - barely any ballads to really showcase his voice. Every song was the same, same, same, same.

David Cook: I have found over the years that I have very eclectic taste in music because I am drawn to strong voices. This guy has a brilliant voice that was on display in ballads and rawkin' songs this night in Hammond. It seems his preference is to rock out and that's ok by me. The acoustics in this theater were superb. His band was very entertaining and more than competent musically. Boy can they MOVE. Loved the lead guitarist playing behind his head. The drummer is the most talented I've seen in a long, long time. Even so, couldn't take my eyes off of David Cook for very long because of the immense energy and expression he put into his performance. His band is also musically talented and overall the whole show was fun to watch. His two openers Green River Ordinance and The Script are great to watch as well. Definitely didnt mind watching these two bands before we got to David. Their crowd interactions were great as well. If you havent see David in concert yet definitely check the show out. You wont regret it. Money well spent.

This was one of his longer shows because it was the 1 year anniversary of the release of his platinum album. He sang the entire album in the order in which the song appears on the album and then did a multi-song encore. He has it all - the voice, the talent, the looks, the personality. He's a delight to watch and to hear. I wish I could have gone to at least 75 of the shows on the tour, but I'd have to sell my house and live out of my car!

Best show I have ever attended! David Cook sang a 16-song set-list! Voice sounded great, band sounded great, banter was entertaining. Venue was clean, security was helpful without being overbearing, venue sound was amazing, and mini drink/bar area was excellent. Opening band- The Script- were very talented and adorable. (Drink were a bit expensive but aren't they always?) One of the best experiences I have ever had at a concert!

Not only is David Cook an AMAZING singer, but he is an AMAZING performer. I went to one of his summer concerts in Lansing, Michigan as well, and I was not disappointed at either performance. For this one, I was incredibly lucky when some guy gave me his front row tickets!!! I purchased tickets that were in the last row of the entire Colosseum, but some guy came up to me and said he had to go and gave me his tickets. I was so close to touching David's hand, if only he had not been playing the guitar at that time. But I got some amazing pictures and had another AWESOME experience at a David Cook concert. I will continue to go to any of his concerts that i can because I am never disappointed. My only critique is that I wish he sang "Daily Anthem" because that is my favorite song, but I am still not disappointed.

It's nice to see new artists that really appreciate the patronage of the crowd. David's band members were also amazing. I saw David Cook when he was touring with the American Idol top ten but it was nothing like seeing him for the whole hour. Loved the songs, even the new one he sang at the end. Thanks for coming to St. Louis and always remember your fans.

Awesome venue, David was terrific, as always. I started to yawn during the first band though (Green River Ordinance). Second band rocked (The Script from Dublin, Ireland). Overall was a fun time. Wish I could've gotten a little closer to the stage, but oh well. David has an awesome guitar player (I think they called him the doctor?).

Really enjoyed the show with David Cook and band. although he was 30 minutes late, it was well worth the wait. The pre band was ok also. Sang most songs from his CD which was good for me since I have the CD. most did not seem to know any of the songs, they were expecting American Idol but the ones who do know his music were very happy. Would go again for sure. He really looks just like he does on tv.

I have been a fan of David Cook since American Idol, and was so happy to see him once again up close and in person (I saw him last year at the American Idols concert in Glendale, AZ). He's an amazing live performer and has an ability to engage the audience with his personable demeanor and sense of humor. He sounded great and I loved his choice of songs. I will definitely go to his next concert in Phoenix, whenever that may be--hopefully soon!

The concert itself was incredible... David's singing voice is remarkable and you really appreciate how talented he is when you hear him in person. My only complaint is that his set was only an hour. :( And the time FLEW by! I enjoyed the insane lighting effects, had a real rock show feel to it. David came down and walked in the aisle through the crowd while still singing, that was pretty darn cool. Cook and his band are so energetic and, at times, funny (when they mean to be!)... this is a must-see show, in my book.

they started at 7:30 and gave one amazing performance. my leg was shaking the whole time basically. everyone, I mean everyone, didn't stop screaming the entire night except my favorite part of the night. he sung "Lie" a cappella for about a minute. his introduction was hilarious too. He asked something in return, but everyone started screaming after he said it and told us that "you don't even know what is it and your doing it". GREAT TIME!! Though, it only lasted about an hour. I didn't care though. I thought it was more.

American Idol season 7 winner David Cook has one of the best voices I've heard in a long time. Not a note was missed last night. Combine that with his charm, good looks, and his band, and you have a great show. He combined rocking songs, and acoustic versions of others, and each song sounded great. He may look and sound like a rock star, but he seems to have a nice attitude and humbleness about him. I was also very pleased with the fact that he did not use profanity, and kept it clean for his younger fans. I would go see him again in a heart beat.

Finally getting around to reviewing this awesome concert. So sorry for the delay! This concert was exhilerating. David and the band (The Anthemic) gave their all and really interacted with the crowd with huge energy. Those of us who were familiar with his music were able to sing along "at the top of our lungs" with every song. David has been on this extended tour since Feb. 13 and he shows no signs of slowing down, in fact, he and the band just get better. Most of the songs were off his self titled CD, with a couple of covers thrown in for fun. WOHWWS is his own song from pre-Idol days and fits in nicely with the set. I love all of the songs on his CD so seeing them performed live was amazing. Bar-ba-sol is a rocker which got me going, but Light On and Come Back to Me, which are also getting airtime on the radio stations were crowd favorites, too. Died in Your Arms (Cutting Crew cover) was REALLY good. On top of being a great musician, David Cook is also a warm, humble, funny human being who happens to wear his heart on his sleeve and you get glimps of it now and then. It's a reall treat! The accousitcs were good and the venue was the perfect size (holdes 1,700 I think) to see David and band up close and personal. The only problem with this type of viewing (all standing which is normal for a rock concert) is that there is always someone(s) taller than you blocking your view though you are only 20 feet away from the stage. I kept craining my head and peering through small gaps of people. The best view I got was after the concert when my daughter showed me the photos she got by raising her camera a few times to snap some pics, always mindful of the people behind us. Then there's the tall guy standing right in front of us who had is camera raised the whole time to video tape it. We joked that we would probably get a better view of the stage by watching his video on YouTube the next day!

I loved the performance by David Cook. I loved all the songs he sang. Like the interaction with the audience. I would def recommend to anyone a fan of his. My husband who wasnt a big fan of his came home liking him and is now listening to all his songs! I also recommend going to the House of Blues. I was our first time there. I would def go back. The drinks was a little high, but the food was very cheap. They had hot dogs or nachos and cheese for $1.

I would recommend seeing David Cook any time...........He is such a good singer...However, I would NEVER go to the House of Blues again.....It is the filthest place I have ever been to. I was afraid to touch anything. It was like going to a bar in the getto. The decor was nice if you could get past the filth. But that aside.......David Cook was assume...I love him more now!!!

I can't say enough about David Cook & his band at the House of Blues last night. David was in fantastic voice, his band was tight and sounded great, and David himself was charming and affable and very appreciative of his fans. Phil Marshall, the opening act, proved himself an outstanding musician as well. If you haven't seen David Cook live yet, I highly recommend you do so whenever possible. As great as his debut record is, you truly haven't heard the half of it until you hear him live!

David Cook was amazing at the Music Box and was even better than when I saw him and the guys at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in June. He and the guys played so well and the banter with the audience was great. He is such a great performer and has such a warm humble personality. His voice was so beautiful again. I could see him and the guys in concert every night. They are awesome!

I've loved David Cook since American Idol. His CD is great, can't wait until the next. This was my first chance to see him live and it won't be my last. This voice is sexy & raspy. It was show 118 for the tour. There was no opening act and I didn't care. He has a great stage presence and I love he took time to talk at ease with the crowd and was funny. His talking did not deter from his singing, it added to it. Spreckles is not a large theatre. It was a sell out & I know he could have sold out a larger venue. The crowd cheered wildly for every song, he seemed taken aback and humble. Great singer, good looking, down to earth. What more can you ask for!!!!

This show was amazing! David was 118 shows into the tour at this point and sounded just as awesome as he did on idol! There was no opening act so he did a longer set a full hour and a half of covers, unreleased songs, singles, and album favorites, personal stories, anecdotes, and really amazing music! An All around GREAT time!

David's voice is just great and as good if not better in person :) His band is fantastic too. I look forward to the next opportunity to see them, and hopefully next time they are in the LA area they will have a larger venue and play longer. Draw back of this concert were: David only played for a total of 1 hr and 15 minutes. The opening acts were good but played way too long.

I bought the tickets for my Fiance because she loved that season of American Idol. I was never a big fan, but thought I would go along anyway. Good thing too! I was very impressed. The dude can sing!... and the band was great too. Very eclectic crowd ranging from 5 year old to grandmas. The Crash Kings were pretty cool too, but whoever ran the soundboard for them could use a new set of ears. All in all, great show and definitely changed my perspective on David Cook and I respect him as a true artist, not just an American Idol tool.

I had never been to the Showbox at Sodo.. It was a nice venue and David Cook packed the house! I was extremely excited to see his show because he was my fave from the begining of AI season 7. I voted a lot for David that season and his performance last night proved that he definately deserved them all... He has a great stage performance. He relates with the audiance and can play the heck out of his guitar! He delivered exactally what he gave in all the tv performances/appearances I have seen. He's a heck of a performer and I will definately see him again the next time he's in Seattle!

Great concert! David rocked the place...it was very hot and crowded in the Showbox, and people were a bit pushy-shovey...but you just had to deal with it and focus on the incredible sounds from the stage! Cook hadn't been back to the Seattle Area since the Idol tour over a year ago, and it was obvious from the start that Seattlites were needing a David Cook fix. While the average age of the crowd was well over 40, it didn't seem to matter much as a younger show attendee. Cook had an awesome presence, and in the intimate venue like the Showbox it felt like he was singing right to you (even if you were standing at the back). He played the main hits from his debut album, with a couple of covers mixed in and even a yet unrecorded new song called "Souvenir." The show was also being recorded for unknown purposes, which led the crowd to be in more of a frenzy throughout the night. David Cook and Seattle seemed to have a real love affair going on. Cook had thrown out the first pitch at the Mariners game earlier in the day and he seemed awed by the crowd's fervor. At one point he took the time out to show off some of his favorite signs of being displayed. The crowd voted and the winner was a sign by an 11-year-old at his first concert. It was a very sweet moment. There was a long delay after the main set finished with "Come Back to Me," but the band did come out for a three song encore.

Concert was amazing. Was unable to purchase as many t-shirts as I would like because the credit/debit card was not working and I didn't have very much cash. My only other complaint is that because the floor was raised right next to the railing, it made the people in the front taller and made it really hard for the short people to see. Other than that I had a wonderful time.
