I'm 38. I've seen a lot of shows...from Rage Against the Machine to Pearl Jam to loads of punk and hardcore shows. This had to be one of (if not THE) best shows I've ever seen. They sounded even better live than on the albums...a tough task, no doubt. Truly an incredible evening I will never forget.

This show was simply spectacular! I have never been to the El Rey Theatre so, I was really interested to check out this venue. I was turned on to this band about 1 year ago and just recently downloaded their latest album and I was hooked. They played a sold out show and played a short in your face fast tempo set. My highlight was the cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the name" and their own melodic "Dear Love". I am very fortunate to be able to still get out and witness up and coming musicians that WILL hit the "Big Time" in the not so distant future. Twenty-something hard core angst at its best. Emily Armstrong (lead singer) has such a great stage presence and she became one with the audience. Oh yeah, the bassist was phenomenal along with the drummer. I was also impressed with the hot girl guitarist. Her dynamic style is very Jimmy Page like. Being a guitarist, I like that!!

I've been a huge fan of Dead Sara since I first heard their single "Weatherman" on 98.7fm mid 2012. I love their music. This was the first time I saw them live and it was incredible. Emily Armstrong sounds perfect live, amazing voice with precise control. Siouxie, Sean, and Chris are awesome musicians and together they lit the stage and audience up!!!! I actually got to meet Sean (drummer) just before they went on and he was very kind and thanked me for the support. That was icing on the cake. Wish I could've met all four band members, but watching their performance was a blessing enough. LISTEN TO DEAD SARA AND GO SEE THEM LIVE!!!!!!

Dead Sara was amazing!! First of all they are the nicest people you'll ever meet. Truly awesome peeps. Their show was just ridiculous!! SO much energy and they sound fantastic live! Every song is as crisp as the album but even better because its live and you get that amazing raw energy that you only get from live shows. Emily Armstrong is the goddess of rock incarnate...soooo naturally raw and vibrant, her vocal range is exceptional, her stage presence is incredibly powerful yet approachable. I love this band with all my heart.

I saw Dead Sara for the first time when they were one of the opening bands for Buckcherry at the 2012 Balloonfest in El Paso. I had never heard of them before that and wasn't necessarily planning on checking them out, but their name and the concert bill photo intrigued me. I actually thought they were going to be some kind of "goth" throwback band but they weren't. Simply put, they rock. I've been seeing concerts for years - I've seen everybody from classic rock in the 70s (Stones, Aerosmith, Dead, Floyd) to the "alt" bands (Cure, REM, U2) and hard/rock metal bands (Metallica, Cult, Guns-n-Roses) in the 80s, to alt/grunge (Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains) in the 90s, to various Rock acts (Black Crowes, Godsmack, Incubus, Audioslave, Velvet Revolver) in the 2000s, and Dead Sara are a "must see". I don't want to try to describe their style - get the CD or check out their videos on Youtube. I can tell you this though, the lead singer, Emily, is fearless and can sing her ass off. She can give you goosebumps and make your short hairs stand up. Siouxsie, who will probably readily admit she's not a "monster lead guitarist " IS very skilled and her guitar work is EXACTLY what the songs need. She can play tasty or hammer inventive power chords that will have you fist-pumping the air. Needless to say, I immediately looked them up online and bought tickets for Phoenix, AZ and Las Cuces, NM where they were on the Vans Warped Tour. These were shorter-length performances for the band but they still rocked...and they're good people too. I had my photo taken with them at each of the events and easily engaged them in conversation. That may not be a possibility for long though because if their label and managers grow them and steer them right...they should be huge. They're touring with Muse now and opening a festival with Godsmack. That's a good start.

Dead Sara is one of our favorite newer bands. They finally came to Pittsburgh so we were pumped. Sadly, the crowd was small, the venue had the worst sound ever, and the band only played for about 45 min or so. They played maybe 5 or 6 tunes off their albums, 4 new ones which were cool, and a bunch of fragments of covers. Maybe they were exhausted, maybe it was because the venue was crappy, maybe it was because there were only 50 people there, but we were sorta bummed out. We saw them in Columbus last year and they blew the roof off the club!!! So explosive and incredible when they want to be.

The group were all fighting the flu, but they still put on a great show full of energy and sounded better live than they do on the radio! Was lucky enough to see them in an intimate location. Can't wait to see them again!

I saw dead sara play in St Louis in march. They were so good i drove to kansas city to see them again. The energy put in by the whole band is a sight to behold. With a great new album just out, seeing it live combined with olderstuff made for a brilliant evening.

I've been waiting nearly 3 years to see Dead Sara live. I finally got my wish last night when they played the Marquis with Monteneros and Wiredogs. Monteneros left something to be desired, but Wiredogs were the perfect warm up (incredible punk energy). Dead Sara came out and launched immediately into the set without hesitation (or even really a "hello."). Emily's voice is beyond description. For lack of a better word, she's simply amazing and the entire set was just about flawless. My girlfriend and other friend had never heard the bad before and were completely blown away by the performance. Her energy was infectious throughout the set, even if she claimed to be overtaken by the altitude. The only downside to the whole show is that they couldn't have just kept going all night! We got to meet Emily after the show and thank her for such a phenomenal show. She's as gracious as she is talented and I absolutely can't wait for the band to go back on tour again. If you've never seen Dead Sara live, you're doing yourself a terrible injustice. Simply put: this was one of the best live performances I've ever seen.

Short and sweet...this show was the best show I've seen in recent memory. Venue was cool and the band was beyond perfect. My only complaint was that I would've liked another hour of music!!!!

The Wans opened for Dead Sara, check them out they were a blast. Dead Sara's lead singer was a bit under the weather but no one would have known if she didnt say anything! Absolutely incredible performance and in a great intimate venue.

Amazing. Small club or arena - they can melt your face off and also make your gut wrench with their amazing vocals and music!!! I wish the best for them because they deserve it but in a selfish way hope I get to see them in many more Viper Room or El Rey-type locations!

They released their debut album in April and they've already played on Jimmy Kimmel, toured with Chevelle, the Used, The Offspring and have just recently announced thir tour with Muse in 2013. Thie band kicks ass. Get your picture with them while you can. They're seriously the next rock legends. Following in the footsteps of Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine.
