This show was mind blowing!!! She is seriously awesome and uncomparible to anyone else - any fan of live music should see Mary Bridget Davies

Her voice is phenomenal and the show was so enjoyable. The band is great as well. She has a friendly performer, speaking with the audience , she is very warm and friendly. And when she does Janis it is thrilling to be sure. I highly recommend you catch her when you can.

When I saw this show in Milwaukee, my mouth dropped open on the first song Mary Bridget sang. I often wondered if anyone would ever develop the driving soulful melodies that flowed through Janis like water from a faucet. I was amazed to find that Mary Bridget Davies comes so close to being Janis in the flesh it's kind of scary and beautiful at the same time.

We were not sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The cabaret setup consisted of the band performing at the back of the stage and the patrons sitting in the front of the stage in this beautiful hall. The show featured a perfect mix of Janis Joplin songs, other covers and 2 originals. Mary's voice was amazing, her patter amusing and the band outstanding,

Imagine Janis Joplin singing in your living room--that's what this concert was like! Small, intimate setting on the stage and a really rocking blues show. Mary Bridget Davies and her band were as close to perfect as it gets. Amazing keyboardist and guitarist. Loved her original stuff as much as the cover tunes. The best show by far we've seen all year.

Loved the show! She was nominated for a Tony on Broadway...a real superstar!

I saw "A night with Janis Joplin" twice when it was at Arena Stage in DC. I thought MBD was totally amazing. Seeing her at the Birchmere was also great. I wish she would have more Janis, but I loved the show just the same! Mary you are awesome!!

Mary Bridget Davies is a phenomenal entertainer - this was my first time seeing her. I heard about her in the New Yorker or Sunday Morning and she was far better than I even imagined. Wish she had done at least 2 more encores!!

I will look for her next appearance at the Birchmere. Wonderful set up, service and the performance by this artist and the band were top notch!

She is wonderful. I went to hear her sing Janis Joplin songs, but everything else she sang was just as good!

Mary Bridget Davis was very good the other night. I saw her on Broadway in the Janis Joplin play and thought she was absolutely fantastic . However, that said, I believe she should incorporate more of Janis into her act. Her singing is fantastic, but it seems when she does Janis she shines. That would be my only complaint, that she could have sung more Janis Joplin.

Singer extremely talented doing this style of music. I would have loved this event if she had been "in character" as on Broadway. Waiter was rather snobbish, not friendly. Audience member dancing was rude and inconsiderate, either drunk or some other problem, and out of line. She ruined it for a number of others who were there to see the performance - not HER.
