New Years Eve Comedy Explosion

This was my first time attending the show and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I laughed so hard I started crying. Each and every comedian had me and my girlfriends cracking up.lol I am still laughing today just thinking about the show. I am still amazed at how Jay Lamont makes the music without the help of the Dj. I wil be going back.

The Comedy Explosion was a CRAZY show ! Never a dull moment even during half time !

The show was great. All the comedians were good. The show started on time. I would recommend you go if it comes to your city or a city near you.

This show was just as we expected; exciting and funny.

Initially I was disappointed to see Tony Scofield (107.5 WGCI morning DJ) opening the show because I'm not a fan of his radio show, but he was funny. The lineup was perfect and the laughs just kept getting better with each comedian and I didn't think that was possible after Nephew Tommy tore up the stage. The show started just a few minutes late, but it wasn't a problem. It gave us time to get seated and mingle a bit. I've never celebrated New Year's eve by attending a comedy show, but I will definitely do it again.

This was the worst show I have ever seen. The comedians appeared to be rushed and they were not funny. I do believe everybody there felt the same way. It was a waste of my money and time. If I was abel to rate this show via media the comedians would have a hard time selling out the show. The show did not start on time, 30 minutes late.

DL Hughley and Bill Bellamy were hilarious. Nephew Tommy was pretty funny as well.

All of the jokes were old. Nephew Tommy was the best!!!!!

Very funny comics, but the Arie Crown Theatre is not a good venue. It is very close seating with many people packed into each row. So close that you can't help but touch both people on either side of you. Then, there is a $19 fee for parking, and a very long walk to the theatre (in heels? -- double ouch!).

All of the comedians were very good. Nephew Tommy brought it! Ms Adele - she is such a lady, she looked great ...D. L. was very funny, I just wished the show had been a little longer - since it did not start on time... Why can't shows start at the time indicated on the ticket. Comedy was good, I just wanted more....

My Wife and I enjoyed all the comedians ,would recommend this event 2 all looking 4 a good laugh.

This show was amazingly funny...nothing like great laughter with family and friends...a perfect beginning to the new year.

I was pleasantly surprised by DL Hughley. I never found him funny in the past but he was very good. He ended his show in a very clever way. This was the first time I saw Bill Bellamy and I was very pleased with him. The person I was with was very surprised and pleased with him. She had seen him before and got more than she thought she would get. He was good. Nephew Tommy was o.k. Adele Givens was a little dull. She slowed down the show. Overall the whole experience was just o.k.

The show was good. Expected more from Adele Givens and Nephew Tommy but all in all it was a really good show. Bill Bellamy was a great host, probably the best I've seen at a comedy show. However, saving D.L. Hughley for last was the best thing they could have done as he set the stage on fire. D.L. Hughley was non-stop funny with almost every joke and him being interactive with the audience as well. Would definitely recommend this show for next year.

Too much walking and parking was $19.00. Nephew Tommy told the same exact jokes that he did in Detroit a few months ago. I guess I was wrong to think that he would have new material. I still enjoyed the jokes as if I heard them for the first time. A. Givens: I would not pay $1 to go and see her anymore. Too much profanity and I think that it was wrong to joke about Fantasia suicide attempt. (How would you like for someone to joke about your husband's Liver Cancer? After we had enough listening to A Givens we left before DL Hughley got on stage. The venue was beautiful but the seating was terrible; my husband's poor legs were so cramped up because the rows were too close together. I guess I should have picked better seats but for $75.00 I didnt think that would be a issue. I would never attend another event at this venue. Should have went to see Kevin Hart. If it wasn't for the beautiful B&B we stayed at, our weekend getaway would have been a disaster. Thanks Welcome Inn Manor.

I was a little frustrated by the lack of signage; only certain entrances were open, and there was no signage on the one that wasn't (and that we were dropped off at). Like most Black shows, this one started about 45 minutes to an hour late. But once we got in, the mood was upbeat and the DJ was great. The show was good. i wouldn't go see it again (if it were the exact same show) but I'm glad we went. Bill Bellamy was the funniest and deserved more stage time. Nephew Tommy was enjoyable, but poor Adele Givens was often laughing at jokes alone. I think her premise was both sad and weak; it was based upon her husbands recent illness and how she occupied her time in the hospital, but she just talked about stuff she saw on TV, the news, YouTube (all stuff we have heard). DL was funny but not rolling out of the seat laughing.

My only complaint is that the show starts 30 minutes late. The comedians were hilarious. It was a great show.

I really enjoyed Bill Bellamy and Nephew Tommy was off the hook, he had me crying he was so funny. The one thing that I didn't like was it didn't start on time.

I'm glad I spent my New Years at the show. It was great!! Everybody was HILARIOUS!!

The comedy show lived up to its name-Comedy Explosion. I almost exploded from the constant laughter. Nephew Tommy was at the top of his game, Bill Bellamy was over the top and DL Hughley brought up the rear in the most humorous fashion. My laughing muscles had a total workout!

This was a really good show!! Bill Belamy & D.L. Hugley were fantastic!

I thought the comedy show was great worth the money. Its what me and my wife needed going into the New Year.

The show was awesome! You definately got your moneys worth. I usually don't like comedy shows because of the language and this was tolerable and I would recommend to my friends.

Adele appeared to be drunk or just not into, jokes were truly not well put together. best performance was DL Hughley. Nephew Tommy was a surprise, I expected More!!

Very Great And Funny Show. Nephew Tommy Is Funnier On Stage Than On The Steve Harvey Radio Show. A Givens Was Great And Prayers Goes Out To Her Husband's Recovery. Bill Bellamy Had Me In Stitches. DL Hughley Had Me Crying Through Out His Routine.

The show was great (even though it did start 30 minutes late -- they were on CP time I guess). Bill Bellamy, whom I haven't seen that much, was the host and he was funny! I loved him, but the headliner DL Hughley stole the show -- that's who I paid my money to see and I got my $ worth. Nephew Tommy was funny too - only Adele seemed to be off key but I hope she had a happy birthday anyway.

A funny show with a full line up of funny comedians but the only thing I hoped for was that Rickey Smiley have his own stand up time, he just basically was the host and said his jokes in between comics.

I enjoyed Bill Belamy the most. He should have been the Headliner. The others were good except Adele Givens was a little dry. I didn't like the jokes she told about people in the Hospital.

This show was great! Bill Bellamy and DL Hughley had me laughing so hard, tears were coming out of my eyes. Not to say the other comedians were bad but they just stood out!

These guys were really funny. It was si nice to see Adele after a few years. But all in all Bill Bellamy was hands down the funniest.

The show was awsome. I was laughing from the first joke until the last. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys comedy and wants to have a good time.

The show was ok. I had expected and hoped for Rickey Smiley to do more than he did. The advertisement was misleading. Ricky was only hosting the show, he really didn't perform. Therefore I was a little disappointed with that but overall it was ok. Nothing great.

I enjoyed Lavell Crawford and Melanie Camacho. I wish Rickey Smiley would have performed instead of hosting.

Redbone was great. He's always entertaining. Melody Camacho was simply amazing!!! I LOVE HER!! Rickey Smiley was ok, but not as funny as Lavell Crawford...he made me laugh so hard that I choked. He should definitely be in the next king's of Comedy tour. He's a star in his own right and in my opinion better then Bruce Bruce!!! Lamont was ok, but a lot of his jokes I've heard approx. 9 yrs ago...needs new material.

The show was outstanding. Lavell Crawford and The Female,Melanie Comacho had me on the floor. Red Bone and Ricky Smilely were also very good.

Getting my laugh on was a good way to start the new year. They had me crying up in there. Thanks for a great show. Can't wait tell another show come to the 757.

Great show. However, I was disappointed that we did not know that Rickey Smiley was the host and did not have an opportunity to give us more of his material. Overall, great show.

I gave the show a 3 because between my husband and I we've heard all the jokes before! Especially Redbone! I wish Ricky Smiley performed rather than be a host because that's who I really went to see. Bottom line if you've NEVER seen any of those comedians before you'll have a great time but if you have save your money and watch them on tv! Once again Redbone really new some new jokes, he's been telling the same ones for YEARS! I'm saying that airplane joke must be 5 years old already!_ Also, is Jay Lamont really a comedian or a musician? He be-boxed the whole time. I think he told 2 jokes and be-boxed the rest of the time. MELANIE Camocho (was good) then my husband said he heard the same jokes in American Hustler. And Lavell Crawford was crude! Not my kind of comedian. ,

Laughter is always good for us and the comedians put it out there. They are so funny I laughed all the way through the show. They could not help laughing at themselves and each other. This was definitely a New Year's to remember. I will definitely try to go to the next one coming up.

We laughed,cried, and laughed somemore. My wife and I had a great time and will do it again soon !

The Ricky Smiley comedy explosion was absolutely hilarious! I can only pray that this one will be on dvd soon. That show would have cheered up even the most depressed person. It was truely wonderful. If they were here a second night I would have bought another ticket.

I would recommend this comedy show. All the comedians were great; DL was definitely a phenomenal headliner. My only recommendation would be to have the two initial comics deliver for 20 minutes max. They became a little long-winded; more particular Adelle Givens. I give this show 4 stars!

Very very funny Dl was amazing so was Tommy and BB. Adell seen her do a better job than she did new years eve. Would see them again

Bill Belemy was a great MC. The entire show had me rollin. D L Hugely was funny as ever.
