This was the most fun I've had since the Stop Making Sense tour back in the 80s. First they came out with a Hall and Oates tribute band which was great. Then, amazingly, the same band came out to do the TH tribute and they were spot on. Like the SMS tour it was like watching a cardio workout at s gym. Constant motion, dancing , including all the DB mannerisms and even The Big Suit!! They played for over 2 hours and hit every great TH song. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will go again next time they're in town.

Saw two years ago, same venue. Impressed with this tribute band then, and even more impressed now. Glad they enjoy playing in Portland, Maine. Hoping to catch them every time they stop by Port City Music Hall.

They were awesome. If you closed your eyes you would have thought you were at a talking heads concert. Their energy was amazing.

Start making sense performed Talking Heads songs with such enthusiasm and musical precision, it was hard to tell them from the real band! the stage presence and mannerisms, not to mention the stellar vocals, of the David Byrne front man was impeccable! We danced all night - and the Port City venue was fantastic as well.

Once in a lifetime experience to hear and feel the theateractrial roll out of this amazing tribute band to the "Talking Heads". Brought back good memories of those late 70's years. "

It is our second time of coming to see the group. We really like them!! We felt it was too long and not enough famous hits from Talking Heads. So... if you are a die hard fan of Talking Heads, you probably would not notice... but... we are very much fans but we don't know ALL their songs and we felt there were not enough hits. I would enjoy it much more if there were more hits and less of the non-hits songs.

It's not...yesterday...anymore.... And it shouldn't be. Yes Start Making Sense is a tribute band but their own personalities shine through. Talented musicians, great stage presence, and a fun diverse crowd. Highly recommended!

Went to see Start Making Sense and to my surprise HMFO (Hall and Oats) cover band was the opening act. A very pleasant surprise and great talent. When Start Making Sense played they worked so hard and truly earned me as a new fan. I travel to see bands/shows often and the venue and the performance was top notch. I look forward to seeing them again in the Boston area.

fantastic show - band played from 11:40pm until about 2:10am. extended solos on a bunch of songs, great setlist, plenty of energy to be reminiscent of actual Talking Heads. I highly recommend this band.

Great venue, easy to get drinks, plenty of room to move sit around. Staff were nice enough. Having seen the original Taling heads in the 80s I can certify that 'Start Making Sense' were the closest thing to the original one could hope for. when I closed my eyes, I couldn't really discern any difference, from my memory. They were loads of fun as well, seeming to really enjoy themselves. Of the little we saw of the support band (didn't get name) they were a lot of fun, with a danceable beach punk sound.

They played many of the great Talking Heads songs with expert skill. I especially liked that they preserved the original arrangements and all their complexities by utilizing a percussionist, background vocalist and keyboard synthesizer. The lead guitarist has a very refined style. The singer ("David Byrne") was very entertaining in his communication with the audience and his dancing.
