Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon mark their return to the North American arena circuit for the first time in more than two years with their 2014 Mechanical Bull Tour, featuring the added bonus of up-and-coming blues whiz Gary Clark, Jr. in the opening slot. The trek is named for the southern rockers' new album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart after its release in September 2013.

The opening act was great, i didnt know who they were but they were really good! Kings of Leon then came out, and totally rocked it!!! Would go and see them again....wish for more concerts at the gorge that are one night tickets like this one. Why doesnt the gorge attract more grrat musicians that do a one night show!

Kings Of Leon are continuing to gain support and play larger venues as evidenced by this sold out show at Mesa Amp. Despite temps reaching well over 100 degrees, the crowd was as excited as ever to hear the band. KOL delivered a solid set from begining to end, despite Caleb McFollowill saying from the stage they were struggliing sound wise up there. I don't think anyone in the audience noticed any miscues. They did restart Knocked Up (or was it Charmer?) but that seemed to be the only glitch of the night. "Cold Desert" was a great song live, reminding me of "40" by U2. There is no reason why KOL will not be as big as they are overseas in the United States. Each new album is better than the last showing more depth and reason. All I can say is I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves in the future.

As many of us locals say: "There isn't a better place to see a live show than the SB Bowl" and the KJEE Roundup always gives you more than your money's worth. Kings of Leon were so amazing and The Airborne Toxic Event could have been the headliners as well and made it worth your while. If anyone ever has the chance to see these groups live...DO IT!!!!

it was such a great show. My friends and I drove from California to Arizona to see them just because it was general admission and we had a better chance of getting gront row. We did not get front row we were in the second row which was still amazing because there are amazing! I ove KIngs of Leon!

This concert was fantastic! They are an amazing band to see live. The only problemthat I had with the show is that I wish the setlist was a bit longer. Looking at setlists from other concerts, our show had like 5 to 7 less songs than almost all the other shows. Besides that, everything else was perfect.

Kings of Leon quite simply know what they are doing when they play live. Caleb's voice is utter perfection, the music itself sounds amazing and they know how to play to the crowd. They mean business, and don't have a lot of needless talking in between songs. Not to say that I wouldn't mind hearing Caleb's sultry voice talking for a while! I highly recommend seeing Kings of Leon live.

This was a great show. The venue was small, but had a big feel to it. Airborne Toxic Event and White Lies were good openers, and Kings of Leon frickin rocked! Saw them at the Fillmore in San Fran a few years back, and they have only improved since then. I would recommend seeing these guys live to anyone that enjoys rock.

I love Kings of Leon and was so looking forward to seeing the band live for the first time. It's been many years since I last saw a show at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, and didn't know or remember that the acoustics were so bad. The show was such a disappointment soundwise, but I was still able to see that the band would be great in a better venue. I'll definitely try to see them again somewhere else.

Anyone who doesn't think the KINGS OF LEON have arrived, hasn't seen their live performance. This may be the year of U2, GREEN DAY, COLDPLAY and THE KILLERS but the KINGS OF LEON are up with that exclusive group. Their show at the BILL GRAHAM CIVIC AUDITORIUM was amazing. From start to finish they played a no-nonsense collection of their music, not just the new album. Caleb makes every effort to connect with his audience in a low-keyed performance. The band has morphed into one of the best in the world. The band is not to be missed whenever they play in the region. I would travel to see them most anywhere now.

Kings of leon were very lame. The fans of theirs were no different. Bunch of college "cool guys" who don't have an appreciation for good music. The walkmen were pretty much amazing, even with most of the drunk frat guys were booing them.

Great venue, great sound, lame crowd of youngsters, and the Kings freakin' rocked AND rolled the house. 'Twas a rock concert the way it is meant to be. And the openers, The Walkmen, were a pleasantly-good surprise. Favorite moment (cont'd) and the folks in the back cheered, as though he were complimenting them, or non-sarcastically dedicating the song to them. Then they blew the doors off of even that, their weakest most commercial song.

Kings of Leon are an amazing live band! Caleb's voice sounds so wonderful live. I have been dying to see KOL again ever since I left the amphitheatre that day. They played a great mix of music from their latest and past albums. There was a bit of a technical malfunction towards the end of the show but the band (and fans) handled it all very well. No one boo-ed or complained. Caleb talked it over with the crew and got things worked out. After that, the show went on and everyone went back to enjoying music and friends. It was simply a fabulous night and a superior band. KOL is a must see for lovers of all types of music!!

These guys had been waiting for their first big headlining show in the US for years.. they're like the Beatles in the UK, but didn't have the following in the US yet.. Amazing show to be at, because they were totally humbled to be there, and put on a ridiculous show.. Great seats right on the floor.. the energy in the crowd was great, and everyone was just as excited as the band was.. Definitely in my top 5 favorite shows of all time..

Third time seeing KOL at the garden. If you know what they're like live, they do not disappoint! Very little stage presence, although they do seem more comfortable playing for an audience. The songs sound exactly as they do on disc, and they definitely have a lot of em the fans love! Songs are crisp and clean, and played in quick tommy gat succession! Seats in section 213 pretty good, especially after big red curtains dropped but the production value on the upper screens were way more interesting than what was happening on stage!

I caught the Kings of leon 2 times once in 2011 at the wharf in orange beach alabama and once on the last leg of the 2014 mechanical bull tour in New Orleans!! i was 10 in 2011 and 13 in 2014!! my favorite bands hands down!! i have seen bands like boston and kansas and a close second Rush!! Kings of leon and the talent they have to perform like that for about 2 hours is just amazing!! They might not talk a lot during the concert but that dose not bother me one bit!! Caleb's voice was off for a little bit but he really got into the groove!! I would recommend Kings of leon to anyone when they tour for their newest album in 2016-2017!!

I have seen over 20+ artists live, most being alternative/rock. I've seen Kings of Leon over 4 times, and every show is filled with dancing, singing, and amazing live music! Kings of Leon are so interactive the crowd, from the frontman relying on the crowd to sing a long loud to big hits, to clapping along with the rhythm, and the bands cousin Nacho granting "nacho miracles" for attendees to win a chance on getting pit tickets! The band is better live than in the studio in my opinion! Truly unforgettable performances!!!

KOL was definitely on Tues night with a relentless and tight show. The sound was fantastic and the venue itself was great. Parking/traffic were not a issue. We were in the 11th row and my date (along with everyone else) were up dancing for the whole show. 2 gentlemen next to us were sitting the whole time. One took exception to my dates dancing and called security. The security lady called us over, gave us special gold wristbands and told us to stand in front of the stage. Winning! I wish I had her name so I could give her a yelp review.

Guys, if you haven't already heard: Red Rocks is the sickest venue in the States! However, Kings of Leon put an average performance. I'm a huge fan of theirs but performing live isn't one of the strong suits. There were many errors, the singers voice kept going out, and they seemed bored on stage. I actually caught the show in West Palm Beach a couple weeks prior and it was the same average performance with practically the same set list. Red rocks made up for the average performance. Must go to venue, artist = up to you and your wallet.

Even though they were having technical difficulties, their set was great. Kings of leon blew me away. Last time I saw it was in houston and a bit further back so this time in austin I made sure to get closer seats. It was amazing. The venue was great too. The sound was good, but the band didn't interact with the crowd much so that was very disappointing. this was an amazing show.....my front row tickets may have had something to do with it!!! I was especially appreciative of the set up of the venue. Front row ticket holders had to have a special arm band to be standing. No other rows were allowed to come to front of stage which given the fact that I paid a significant amount of money for my tickets I was grateful for. This show was awesome. I have followed KOL since their early days as a band and they played samplings of their music from each of their albums. I swear they just keep getting better. Their light show and special effects for the concert are amazing and it was nice to see Caleb smiling and seeming to really enjoy himself more on stage. Chula Vista has too many cons to even sort of like the venue. However if you sit in the first 2 rows, they are actually cool with you standing next to the stage! otherwise, they make you stay in front of your chair ONLY to dance and watch the show.... The band sounded as good as their recordings, if not better. They could have interacted with the audience a little more, but the sound was unbelievable. These boys really know how to play and have their timing down!!

First off, we were in the pit, and it was a fantastic view. Plenty of room to dance and sway, and my friend caught a pick from Jared. Whoo-hoo! The video show on the screens behind them was awesome. I really enjoyed when they dropped the curtain, and they just did the up-close and personal, stripped down acoustic songs. I've seen them several times, and was really glad to hear some old songs that I'd never heard live, especially from Come Around Sundown because that tour got canceled before I could see it. Great set list, excellently played music, and who doesn't love the scratch and growl of Caleb's voice? The only thing missing was Black Thumbnail, but I'll forgive it to make room for the WALLS coming dow-ow-ow-own.

My 70 year old father and I saw Kings of Leon in Syracuse last weekend. Not only was the opening act, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, an amazing group, but the Kings did not disappoint. I was fortunate enough to see them at an indoor show at TD Garden in Boston for their first show of this tour and they rocked it. Seeing them in an open air setting with an earthy feel really showed them in their element. There's something about dirty southern rock in an airy amphitheater with a beautiful lake in the background that made this concert special. I was able to see a concert with my dad (last time we were together for a concert was 25 years ago) and make some great memories. So glad to have been there.

Kings of Leon are my favourite band on the planet ever! This was my fourth concert to see them and they just keep getting better as years go by! I have not ever seen The passion Caleb presented like he did May 9, 2017 in Austin, Texas!!! What a gift to be present for such a time as this.

This concert was great! Different set list than the show in January at The Foruum. No encore again. But other than that, 2 straight hours of songs and show and an amazing time. Love them!

If you're reading this I'm guessing you're at least familiar with a few KOL tunes. I've seen this band several times over the years, this was my second KOL show so far this year. The thing that has always stood out to me is they are always all business and top notch every single show. They are experts on the stage and their 17 years as a band shines through in the delivery. I've never seen a bad KOL show over the last 8 years and even a casual fan will be able to appreciate their skills. From the first show to this one they rarely speak they just play and kill the entire set list. Before you know it they will be through the 25+ songs and all that will be left is the smiling drive home. One of my favorites and I never miss a chance to see them when they are in SoCal.

KOL is amazing no matter when or where they play! Went to the concert same day 3 years prior and I'm already ready for the next one!

This was the makeup show for the one they cancelled back in January so having driven 2 hours twice now to see this band I will admit my expectations may have been too high but.... who doesn't play an encore?! They played for an hour and fifteen minutes and then left and the majority of the show felt phoned in. They have great songs and I know they are capable of putting on a good show having seen them at Lollapalooza.... but when the lights went on and it slowly dawns on us that they are not coming back while also leaving some of their hit songs unplayed... I was underwhelmed. Sound could have been louder. Not worth the trip.

Kings blew the audience away again. The stage setup was minimal for the first half of the show, basically "Walls" of color. Then they changed set and took it back to their usual visually stimulating stage light setup. They played one hit after another, with little downtime. Awesome show!

The show was fantastic! The vibe of their set was retro and cool. Their vocals and guitar riffs were on point. My only ask was that they would spend a bit more time interacting with the audience in future shows. However, their music is so good I got lost in just enjoying the music.

KOL performance was so amazing. Best concert I've ever been to. The lights and visuals playing during the show was so well done. We couldn't make out faces from our seats but it didn't matter because the light show and screen behind the band was as great as their performance. I can't wait to see them again!

I saw Kings of Leon back in July 2010 for their Only by the Night Tour at the Tweeter Center and the show was amazing then; but this time around really blew my mind. I had already had tickets for their 2011 Come Around Sundown tour when it got cancelled and was really, really bummed that I wouldn't get to see them, but I dare say that the bitter-sweet wait made this show even better. I was already expecting an awesome show, especially with another two solid albums of material to draw from, but my expectations were far exceeded. The music was fantastic--we all knew it would be--but there were so many other things about the show besides the music itself that made it beyond special for me. First, I thought the set list was pretty well-rounded. They managed to play a lot of new material but still draw from the older albums and fan favs (and we even got some awesome unexpected songs like My Party and Charmer!). Second, despite my slight hesitation about the venue, it ended up being really enjoyable. I was in the second row of the 200 level directly across from the stage--pretty good view. Even though it was a bit difficult to actually see the Kings on the stage, I thought the light show really made up for that; it was really cool, entertaining, and really complimented the music. Lastly, the Kings did an amazing job of connecting with the fans. Caleb talked to the crowd all throughout the show and the crowd talked right back. The energy inside the UC was electric. You could feel the entire crowd sharing an intense experience: just one huge collective love for music and each other and the Kings.

Was an amazing show! KOL played a lot of their old stuff, not as much off their incredible Mechanical Bull release as I would have liked, but it was fantastic!! Being right in front of the stage in the pit made for an unforgettable music experience. Gary Clark Jr. was amazing as well.

The show was amazing, Kings of Leon sounds exactly like there album, no surprises there they rocked the crowd, they knew how to have a good time and put on a great show. I would definitely pay to see them again, they are great live performers!!! His voice was a little raspy and he mentioned that he was loosing it from all the screaming and apologized for it, but honestly it didn't bother me because that's how his voice is and that's the way the music sounds, I love that.

Kings of Leon rocked the United Center. The sound was amazing and the lighting was spectacular. They played and were having as much fun doing it as the crowd was listening to it. They were on point and played all their hits and then some. Amazing show.

From the pre-determined setlist, I thought it would be just OK -- a rock band that could no longer hit its peak. Wrongo. Massive visuals better than any other show out there. And the energy simply kept building from beginning to end. In short, a triumph of rock. Clean huge sound. Impeccable guitar work. And power. None of their records capture their immense live power. I now have terrible terrible envy of the people next to me at their fourth show of this tour, because this is the best rock out there today.

The band was awesome, set list was a good balance of new album songs and some classics. Gary Clark Jr opened and he got 45 minutes to warm up the crowd he was also amazing. KOL had a great visual stage show and lighting. Back drop with video, lasers, fog machines and snow fall! I will be going to see them when they hit the northeast again. The one stain on the night was the venue rules and confusion with the TD Garden and Ticketmaster. 1- says right on the ticket no bags or cameras 2-they stop serving drinks at 10 pm but the show went till almost 11 3- TD Garden will actually allow cameras just cannot have the large telescopic lenses 4- ALOT of pot smokers in the crowd
