Barely waited in line for a single thing(beer, food and porta potty). Ability to make our way however close to the stage we wanted made this experience one we will never forget. Even the smaller stage had the crowd going nuts. Can't recommend enough and are ready for next year.

I was impressed great festival loved the staggering of the groups playing on 3 stages. I went with a VIP ticket and would like to see just a few more perks for the money. Also another suggestion as the musical acts progress in popularity to the headliners maybe increase the stage time for those performers. I had a blast and would make the 3 hour drive to go again next year!

Louder Than Life was incredible, can't wait for next year! The only band that bombed was Stone Temple Pilots, everyone else killed it. A Day To Remember stole it though, by far the best.

The line up was awesome, I especially loved Korn. But the bathroom situation was awful. Next year please have them closer to the music, and have them in more than one spot. When you get mixed in the crowd trying to listen to the bands, then need a restroom break, be prepared for a hike & bring your own toilet paper. We women do not enjoy drip drying!

Fantastic first event for louder than life! Great bands and good food. Only disappointed with the VIP tickets. For the cost they did not deliver. Separate viewing area with horrible sight of second stage and crappy sound. It wasn't even that close to me the stage. No gear or anything besides the little VIP pass and a separate tent to experience the festival from. GO if you love rock and metal but get general admission passes.

What more can you say with Priest, Kid Rock, Korn, Death Punch, HELLYEAH, Limp Bizkit, Volbeat, Papa Roach, Motionless in White and on and on and on? Great food and great music. It was the first year for this event, and we had a blast! Thank you, Louisville!!

This show was such an amazing compilation of 'Octane' acts that I wanted it to never end. The back-and-forth dual stage setup was outstanding and allowed true music fans to stay in touch with the shows all day long. Also nice to hit the satellite stage for an act or two. The surrounding activities we nicely spread out and very conducive to a great day. Only two downsides - the singular location for restrooms. Needed a 2nd location, perhaps on the Southwest end of the park. Additionally, the merch tent lines were huge. They could have made much more of a killing if those were better organized. Many people didn't go because they didn't want to spend the time in line while all of these great acts were on stage.

Pretty darn good for the inaugural event!! Could have been warmer.... maybe a week or two earlier next year?? Alternating back to back on the two main stages was excellent. Also, liked the four large video screens. You could be farther back out of the mob away from the stages and still see what's going on and PLENTY loud!!

The event was great. The bad selections were great, most are on my list of favorites. It was hard on Saturday to find time to stop to get a bite to eat and drink without missing a band I really wanted to see. The VIP area was nice once more port-a-pots were added. The only thing bad was that the VIP viewing area was a complete rip-off and a joke. VIP tix always have a better viewing are for the stage - you couldn't even really see the stage only a screen. It was nice that people with GA tix could get all the way to "front row" but there should be a section in front of each stage for VIP or it should be made clear in the advertisement that VIP is about setting, bathrooms, and all day comforts rather than stage access. I have not attended other big rock fests so I do not know if that is normal or not.

It was alot of fun.. I will definitley be going again next year.. Hopfully they will reconfigure the bathroom situation before next year.. Would also be nice if you could just order a basket of fries, w/o having to buy the sandwich as well. Hopefully will have even bigger names next year.,,, Do not invite Limp Bizcuit back!!! Worse band of the day.,

The park was well setup. Prices were great compared to other shows. The parking was terrible. All lines were leading to the only one exit. Took an hour to get out leaving the show early. Bathrooms were inadequate. There was not enough and toilet paper ,was out in everyone the first day. The show ran on time which was great. Take that barricade down between the two main stages! We don't need to be separated! I had a great time and will return.

Had great time on Day 1 of Fest. Line to enter was as big as any I've ever seen at a Fest, but it moved quickly & was in venue quickly after gates opened. Very big crowd on Sat. Saw a heck of a lot of music that day: Flaw, Nonpoint, Otherwise, Wilson, Fuel, Pop Evil, Steel Panther, Theory of a Deadman, Mastodon, Alter Bridge, Limp Bizkit, Stone Temple Pilots, Korn & Judas Priest. Whew!!

The line-up was great with the exception of a few hick-ups (one band didnt come on when they were scheduled to and came on later during another bands set, and putting Stone Temple Pilots w/Chester Bennington between Korn and Limp Bizkit killed the mood...if they'd reversed STP and LB, Saturday night would have ended way better) the food vendors were great with a great selection. The Beer and Bourbon vendors were also great. Prices were a bit expensive for drinks, but over-all not TOO bad. The Merch tent wasnt set up too great...all the shirts were REALLY far away from where people stood to purchase them, so you couldnt see them well, and it didnt appear as if they had enough people working there to accomodate all the people. There was an issue on Saturday with not enough Bathroom facilities, but that was corrected the second day as more were brought in after complaints from the first day.

The price of everything was high which is somewhat to be expected. With that said they need to fix a lot issues mainly the lines. Foods lines took over an hour I'm missed a whole band play. My buddy wanted a shirt which he never got because the lines where so long. The wrost part was the bathroom even in the VIP it took 45 mins to go to the rest room. If you went to the other bathrooms it all way in the back. And on e agin long waits ....

I had a VIP ticket for the Saturday line up. The bathrooms had looooooong lines and there was only one VIP section. The so-called VIP seating views didn't exist....bottom line it wasn't worth the extra money! I'm confused to what actually made it a VIP experience, because there was really no benefit! Also, two main stages on the same end really didn't make too much sense. Actually, it just placed thousands of people within the same vicinity.

This music festival was amazing!!! It was the first LTL festival, so everything was new waters as far was what to expect, and how everything would be handled. This was also my FIRST EVER concert!! The lineup was amazing!! I surprised my boyfriend with weekend tickets, and he was SO excited because Volbeat and Five Finger Death Punch are two of his three favorite bands (the only thing that would have made the trip better was if Avenged Sevenfold was playing too!). The gourmet man food was awesome; you could walk around and get anything from lobster, to noodles, to pizza or fancy grilled cheese! Bottles of pop and water were $3, so they were a great deal! There was SO much to experience with bourbon and whiskey, Louisville having a reputation for both. Being only until next Wednesday, I was bummed I couldn't drink and try new stuff, but there was so much variety for anyone old enough! There were PLENTY of port-a-potties for everyone, and you could rent lockers online before the event, and they really were a blessing, since there was no readmission! We didn't have to worry about carrying around our bags or souvenirs all day! The stages were right next to each other, and they were divided by a corridor for wires and event workers, so as long as you had a good spot, you could see both sides really well! At one point, Papa Roach came down during his performance and I could have reached out and touched him! The workers were amazing too, and they all deserve bonuses for each person they helped down after crowdsurfing! I didn't know what to expect as far as people getting crazy or moshing or anything, but the crowdsurfers all got passed to the front of the stage, and then the event security/woirkers caught them, helped them down, and sent them off in the right direction so they could go have fun. They even helped this girl in a wheelchair crowdsurf and get down!! Overall, a GREAT weekend, and TOTALLY worth every penny. I WILL be going again next year!! :D GO LTL!!! Thank you so much to anyone that might read this that helped out or was involved!!

I thought the event itself was good although I hadn't heard or even liked most of the bands, I only went Sunday but all and all I enjoyed it something different. My complain is we bought VIP tickets and on the tickets there was a section and a letter and a seat number, well there is none of the above except a section marked VIP. To see the stage, where to me was the main man, Kid Rock, we went out of vip section and over in front of the stage, not down front but at least to where you could see. I just thought there would be seating in front of stages so you could see instead unmarked bleachers and couches in a tent that if you was in you could not see the performers, that is my only complaint.

Overall the concerts rocked. There is always a band or two that could be better but loved the atmosphere . My only issue was the food prices. The only vendor that was reasonable was the Jack Daniels they serve hot fries and good food that worth the $8.00 . Some of the other vendors served cold and nasty fries and overpriced food . I think as a paying customer and I had 5 kids with me and it was an outside venue people should be able to bring in picnic lunches and drink . It would give a person such as myself the option to buy other items other than food.

Much like ROTR is the best value in all of rock festivals, Louder than Life has a world of potential to grow into a three day event. The people in the crowds were generally very cool with each other, the music was first rate, and the festival provided maximum value for the money to get in. Only complaint is that you shouldn't get hit up for $15 just to park your car since it is too far to walk from the majority of most surrounding hotels.

Over all it was good...there was some issues that I didn't care for like people pin fighting or something like that where a bunch of people get in a circle and run into each other and knock people down. .that got somewhat out of control...very out of control I think back use I got pushed right into the middle of it and people could get seriously hurt by doing this sort of thing....needless to say where I was standing I had to end up leaving my spot in order to get out of the craziness of people trying to knock you down which really upset me and the people I was with because we were there to see the band's perform not to be caught up in a middle of pushing and fighting so I was disappointed with that happening and losing our spot close to the stage.

This was a great event. It's about time we had a festival like this in Louisville or Kentucky. The closest thing we have ever had like this was the Summer Jams at the fairgrounds back in the seventies. I was just a 15 year old kid then. This festival was way better. Only complaints were the same as others. Bass was too loud. It downed out the guitar and vocals and the bathrooms were not spread out or stocked with TP. Parking was $15-20 which was not indicated on the website. Poor traffic plan. Cops hanging out in the Jack Daniels tent instead of walking through the crowds helping to limit the amout of weed being smoked. Do that stuff at home! Papa Roach is washed up.

Great headline of bands and artists Sunday 10/5/14 including Kid Rock, FFDP, Papa Roach, Volbeat, others. I'm glad I got there early enough to see Hellyeah. They might've had the best performance of all the bands. I give the rating for this event a B. I think it went over well for the most part being the first event at this park. I wish there were more restroom facilities or just the ability for people to be able to leave and come back during the long day. I would recommend camping next year if possible. Also the lighting could've been better once the sun went down. Overall a fun time though.

The overall experience with this concert was off the charts, total rock n roll experience. The bands were great, every band really portrayed themselves as really wanting to be there and be part of this rock festival. The sound system was loud & clear and the audience was attentive and involved and pretty well behaved....with that said. It was apparent that this was a first time event, If your going to have an all day rock festival you have to let people go back to their vehicles and take naps...that was ridiculous. The V.I.P treatment was pathetic, the VIP tent was off to the side of the stage and the porta potties were severely underestimated, but they did solve that problem on Sunday. Still a total rock experience.

Great bands, great crowd, great food (and not unreasonably priced - Jack Daniel's Pork Chop was incredible - 3" thick!), good beer... Decent vendors. Three suggestions to make even better: 1) More porta-pots ... Scattered about the festival vs in one spot .,, And set up in a row versus "U" to help cueing... 2) Less sub in mix - overwhelmed rest of music. Sometimes all I heard was kick and not guitar... 3) Relocate entrance to be more centrally located from both East and West... Maybe improve VIP seating - didn't buy but thought about it. Glad I didn't when u saw set up.

The line-up for this festival was incredible, with Kid Rock, Korn, Alter Bridge, Limp Bizkit, Stone Temple Pilots, Judas Priest, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch and so many more! Having the two main stages side-by-side with no lag time between bands was very smart, it kept everything flowing in a really great way. The food vendors were diverse, although the lines were always too long, but the food was good. Interesting vendors, shirts, tapestries, jewelry, some unexpected things ... never enough port-a-potties and take a flashlight if you're going in after dark! Yikes! Great energy in the crowd, though, the bands were amazing, we'll be back if they do it again next year!

The event was great and the bands were even better, but I felt like the $220 dollars I spent on VIP passes that it should've gotten me more than just a closed off area with short lines for limited food, March, and drink options. It was off to the sides of the main stages also so it wasn't like we got a better view of the bands, nor did it make a wait shorter for anything outside of the VIP area. It was like having a regular ticket but with a closed off area. If the VIP package doesn't get better next year I would definitely just pay for a general ticket and not VIP.

Overall we had a great time. It was the first year of this event so I am cool with some rookie mistakes. So the overall experience was positive. My only issue was with FFDP. Without using offensive language it was a major disappointment when they had small children come up on stage to sing a very adult language song. I would never want to censor any artist but exploiting children simply crosses the line for me.

This event was amazing. Everyone was super nice and all having a blast! All the bands were sick! A day to remember was my favorite! Such an awesome show. The only thing is there were so many crowd surfers that it was tiring honestly. I just wanted to jump and enjoy the show. Not worry about the people coming over my head. But I still had the best time and will definitely go next year!

This was a first time festival that was well worth the money and the drive! I know there were a few things that went wrong but nothing like other first time festivals I've been to. The lineup was awesome, the alcohol wasn't outrageously priced and the food was pretty affordable! I will definitely be back if they do it again!

What an exciting event!! So many bands in 2 days. Some great new memories. Can't wait until next year. The amount of effort put into 3 stages and the lighting was phenomenal. Rock and metal screaming for 12 hours continuously. This was the inaugural event so i'm going to list a few improvements as i had 2 day VIP passes and am not sure there was enough benefits to paying extra for VIP. In the future i think the VIP area should have more selections in food, free and special parking, a separate side entrance away from the main entrance, more port potties (on the first day the lines were as bad as public potties), would like to see more shops in the main area, more chairs and couches in VIP area. The above are just ideas not complaints.I had one of the best times.

We drove up to Louisville from Baton Rouge, LA. This was the first concert festival I have been to in YEARS. We had THE BEST time. The lineup was great...even parking wasnt so bad. Youve got to realize how many people came to this and that parking would be scattered but on both nights, we were able to get in and out very easily. Because we came so far, we purchased VIP. There were only two or three real improvements that I could maybe see for VIP....1 - dont sell as many VIP so people who actually purchase them feel like they've actually paid for the VIP treatment; this includes a bit better access to the main stages and not so much off to the side; when you purchase high end tickets for any other events, they are usually front and center (i understand the merch/food/bathroom situation, however if that means you have a separate VIP area for that, so be it). 2-VIP parking would be a nice option, even if its an additional cost. We parked right across the street for $20 a day and it was perfect. 3 - VIP entrance. Other than that, they underestimated the amount of shirts (festival shirts, in particular) that should have been sold. I think a conservative figure would be at least 80% of the amount of ticket sales. I saw people buying several shirts of all kinds and Im sure people who maybe didnt have the cash on hand would purchase a leftover shirt if available online. Thankfully they brought more of the festival shirts on Sunday because they ran out on Saturday! The lineups were awesome...Other than Papa Roach (did not need an hour of them), we loved everyone. and Limp Bizkit TORE IT UP. Cant wait for next year!! (PS!!! - for as cold as it got Saturday, someone could have made a KILLING off of coffee and hot chocolate. food options were great, but man, i'd have paid $20 for a cuppa Joe!)

The first day was cold and windy. But the second day was much warmer and enjoyable. The food was just as remarkable as the bands. Something for every hardcore rock enthusiasts.

The line up for Louder Than Life was unbelievable, the only only thing that I didn't like was how Kid Rock closed. He is not considered Hard Rock to me, he is more like rap and country.

Great event. Had great bands. The addition of the great food (barbeque) put it over the top. Add the different whiskies and Bourbon was a plus add also. Will be going again

Since it was the first Louder Than Life Festival I'm not judging to harshly.....The hotel was great except for the lack of free or inexpensive transportation to and from the show. Shuttles of some sort would be a nice touch for the hotel packages. LOVED the food trucks.....reasonable prices and decent variety. Could use more sweets though. Drinks & Alcohol were very reasonably priced and lines moved quickly. Really cool to learn how bourbon & whiskey is made, mixed & drank! Security was great.....no major incidents occurred. SHOW WAS GREAT!!! Was able to see all 3 stages but kinda of tough to choose which stage to get close to when so many good bands. Can't wait to see the line-up for next year....and if it does happen, maybe think about more interactivity (more activities for people between sets)

What a great first year for an annual festival! Loved all the food and drink options, although I am not sure that paying extra for Vip was worth it. I look forward to both Rock on the Range and Louder than Life next year.

Louder Than Life was absolutely incredible to say the least. Judging it solely on the music and performances, it was truly an unforgettable experience. There were at least 6 bands that I was extremely excited to see, and at least 6 more that were just bonuses. Several of the bands, including Nothing More, Five Finger Death Punch, and Motionless In White gave absolutely stellar performances while also delivering incredible vocals. Too often a band "sucks" live, but that was not the case for ANY of the bands I saw. I couldn't tell you much on the food because I'm gluten intolerant, but it looked like hardcore, man food! (In a good way) all in all, a spectacular festival. I will definitely be coming back next year!

Limp bizkit and Korn was worth the price of the two day ticket. So it was like Sunday was a bonus. Then Volbeat killed it. Great experience

I enjoyed all of the performances!!! & the timing was great along with the amazing food. The only downfalls were the port-a-pots needed to be re-stocked/cleaned more often and the entrance and exit of the vehicles need improved. At one point we sat still for 45 minutes straight..didn't budge. Thank you for having an awesome festival!!!

I was impressed on the neatness and the way the food and drink tents was set up. Did not wait long in lines. The set up of stages. Did not wait long in between bands. It was well planned.

This festival was great considering it was the first year. They had a nice set up and variety of food, drinks, etc. Bathrooms were a bit of a problem on day one, but they brought in more for the second day to make up for it. Great job actually listening to the comments from ticket holders! Great weekend!

My husband an I went to this, we had an amazing time, no problems parking, traffic was directed great, there were no issues other than having to walk pretty far to get to the restrooms but there was not long wait for as many people that was there. All n all we had a great time, made some memories and are still talking about it, a week later!! Awesome festival! !

It was great to see something of this caliber come to my city. The bands sounded great, a little bass heavy at times, local law enforcement was relaxed but prompt, prices reasonable on most things, and the beer and food were next to none. My only complaints are: the VIP area. Sorry, but not worth the two hundred bucks I paid on pre-sale, let alone the two twenty five it cost closer to the show. Seventy bucks day of show would have given you the same experience minus a tent and table and chairs, which were in short supply any way. Which leads to my second beef, bathrooms. Not enough anywhere. Lines were out of control in the VIP and GA area, and once we got to once, my wife never had any toilet paper. We brought our own on day two to be safe. To their credit they did get some more bathrooms in as soon as possible, but there still weren't quite enough. Next year they need to spread it out a little more, get some more bathrooms and a few more perks for VIP holders. They delivered on everything described except the "much, much more." Overall though, it was a great time and I would definitely return next year. I'm already getting friends stoked for the next one!

Louder than Life was an overall amazing and unforgettable event. The crowd was a bit too tame at first, but ADTR really brought them to life and it seemed like everyone enjoyed it. An overall friendly, wonderful crowd to be a part of! I crowd surfed for the first time, people were, for the most part, considerate and the accomodations were great. The music, oh the music, was amazing. So many GREAT bands that I love and couldn't wait to see, some that I have seen and would see more and more. Every performance was spectacular! I would have turned down the bass in a couple of them, mostly on the left stage, and most people seemed to agree, but once the music brought you back in you didn't think about it as much.

I had an absolute blast at louder than life!!! I went both days and only had a couple of problems. First, on the first day security was not properly trained or knew how to run things. They had a better handle on it the second day though. Also, first day not enough portapotties but they learned that quickly. Other than those two things, everything was great!!! The food was phenomenal!!!! There was plenty of booze and regular drinks. I had the VIP tickets for both days and I did check out the VIP area but it wasn't all that great unless you were by yourself or had your spouse or friends. I met up with some friends and they had general admission and I just hung out with them. I would definitely recommend going and I know I will be going back next year for sure!!!!
