The entire performance was just amazing. The sound system more than does it's share to enliven the show. Without the sound you probably would have trouble selling tickets. Great seats and very enjoyable.

A painfully loud vibrating disappointment. Faded costume colors, focus was at center stage seating only. Extremely over priced. Intermission was a much needed relief while exiting the building was the most enjoyable. Not much Wow factor other than the price. Attend a low budget high school ballet. Expect to pay an additional (surprise) 10% for parking at most venues. The kids and I learned a lot. Cirque has many fantastic shows... This ain't one of them. Be smart and skip this one.

I first saw Quidam on PBS in 2000, and I got hooked on Cirque. They've been touring outside of the US for years, so I jumped at the oppourtubity to see it. It's not quite as flashy as some of the other Cirque shows, but it is still impressive and entertaining.

I've been to many, many Cirque Du Soleil shows and by far, this was my least favorite of them all. The first half was exceptionally boring and I almost fell asleep. It also didn't help that the lady sitting next to me cackled like a pyschopath the entire time. The second half of the show was much better. All in all, I felt the show spent too much time on skits as opposed to actual acrobatic acts. Now for the location. Usually when Cirque Du Soleil comes to the Bay Area, perform in the big top tents. I don't think the show was suited for the HP Pavilion. We had floor seats....facing the stage and in the 4th row. Due to the fact that the floor seats were all on the same level, even though we were in the 4th row, I could barely see. The people sitting in the 3 rows in front of us were tall so they blocked my view. The couple sitting directly in front of us had a baby which they kept passing back and forth to one another so it was really distracting. So we spent a lot of money on what turned out to be crappy seats.

've seen about ten Cirque Du Soleil shows over the years, and always before I walked away thinking "Wow, awesome!". Last night's performance of Quidam was disappointing. Flat, uneven pacing, almost bland and boring. The performance was almost amateurish, something I would never expect from Cirque Du Soleil It was like a kids show. Every time the performers started to build energy, the "plot" stifled it. The people sitting next to me didn't like it either, and I heard several others complaining on the way to the horribly overpriced parking. $20. There were individual acts which were good, but some got to be boring such as the woman balancing on small pads atop rods. She was strong, flexible and graceful, but her act stretched about double what it should have. After the first few minutes of the same poses, she was mostly repeating. Many of the acts were like that, stretched to fill much more time than we should have had to endure. One couple did slow motion acrobatic balancing - impressive strength, but very slow and low energy. Sadly, this performance basically lacked the magic that makes Cirque Du Soleil so fascinating. The venue was ok but the lighting was awful, often blinding me.

From the beginning to the end, I was fascinated with every single part of this wonderfully crafted show. It was an unforgettable experience, in which I experienced a wide range of emotions as the daring acrobats and the powerful dancers put on a show. The message of the show is a worthwhile one, and the way they convey it is beautiful. I will go see this show again and I'll bring more family and friends.

I love, love, love, love Quidam. It reminds me of my senior year in high school when my teacher played the video in class. When it finally toured, I believe in '05, I finally got a chance to catch it with my aunt. We both loved it and that's how my journey begin with my fascination with the Cirque Du Soleil. For those who are looking for more acrobatics of CDS, this might be the one for you. I enjoyed this more cause it has a good story and the music. Yes, I still blast the CD in my car. Can't wait till April '11 comes, they are back in Cali and I got my tickets already!

Having seen quite a few Cirque shows, I was excited to see Quidam. Quidam had recently been retooled to move from the bigtop into arenas like the PEC. This show has long been one of Cirque's best non-resident shows. Needless to say, I was incredibly excited. Quidam lived up to my hopes and dreams. The show is full of symbolism, the characters are memorable, and acrobatics are fantastic. The music matches the show and you can tell the creators of the show took care to make the smallest details matter.

The show was good on the whole, i especially liked the the duo balancing act and the tempo acrobatics act at the end. I have seen about 6 Cirque shows now and so far this was the lowest on the pole, I believe the traveling shows are lacking compared to the ones that have a home. the view was terrible!!! I was disgusted when first sat... the speakers were hanging directly in view of acts that were suspended. after complaining we were relocated two sections to the right and could now see the preforming area; however, due to poor positioning of a WAY to bright spotlight pointed directly at us we were unable to see much of what was going on.

I'm a cirque du soleil fan and have been continually amazed (to the point of tears) at the creativity, beauty and originality of the productions. I may be a little spoiled or it may be that the cirque genre is running out of ideas, but I was a bit dissapointed with Quidam. Here's list of the positives: music was wonderfully eclectic modern, quality and perfection of the execution by the performers was consistently superior, lighting was excellent, clown acts that recruited from the audience were great, the asian girls with the yo-yo's. the jugglar with the umbrella was fresh and stimulating. vocals using the megaphone were ingenious. the floor exercise acrabat sequence near the end was messmerizing and I especially enjoyed the ghostly make-up. the guy in the the round ring and the headless man were enjoyable. the twirling woman with the hoop dress was neat. the variety of physiques and male/female dancers on stage is a plus. a key component a little short in frequency were the sequences with multiple acts {evocative of the old 3-ring circus format which helps keep my interest). The powder white male/female act with the slow motion format and the overhead suspended ghosts were a thrill. A key areas where the production fell short -- the white painter suits were ridiculously cheap, mundane and uninspiring. I kept waiting for the suits to come off with something fantastic underneath...never happened. It may be that I have worn this suit to spray paint in. however all the other costumes were fantastic. While the acrabat performance on the fabric and ropes was a tad erotic, it seems to be getting a bit repetitious and stale in this day an age for a seasoned cirque goer and partier. It may be that the fabric performances are getting rented out to non-cirque events and that I've seen the act too many times to continue to appreciate it. The rope and fabric skit choreography or format needs an infusion of something fresh. I didn't get the angry man character who was more anoying than enjoyable. Bottom line, it was nice to have a local production, but I would not expect las vegas level quality. prior touring acts in tents were far more intimate than this coluseum performance. I would have prefered something more expensive and shorter in length. In general, I applaud all cirque du soleil contributors and talent to this consistently outstanding entertainment! It would be a wonderful thing to be a part of. I love being a fan.

Although the performances were amazing, looking into the performers eyes at the curtain call was the real show. How fortunate to have a moment of contact with a troupe dedicated to serving others. It was good, with great talent, but I wish they would become more family-friendly. They would attract even more ticket buyers. Maybe less scary, less questionable in jokes, more covered-up outfit, but overall a great show for our family. It would be nice to see the ladies more covered up anyway. I guess I have seen too much of Cirque due Soleil. Unfortunately, this show just did not cut it. I've seen several shows in Vegas, and I have also seen several of their traveling shows. This one was the worst. While it did have a couple of good numbers, overall it was sub par. I was also surprised to see that Cirque du Soleil did not really invest in costumed on this one (usually the costumes is one of the attributes of the show.) If you have seen other Cirque du Soleil shows, I guess you can go and see this one, otherwise I would not recommend it.

This was the 4th Cirque du Soleil show that I've seen and by far the least entertaining. The show started off ok but slowly went down hill when the 2nd act dropped the item that was being juggled. I though ok, never seen that before but things happen. Then a few acts later there two more performance mistakes. I'm sorry but if you're going to charge $120 a ticket I expect to have a mistake free show. I've never seen any mistakes in the previous 3 shows I've attended. The story was hard to follow in Quidam & there was a lot going on in the background while an act was performing which I found to be very distracting. So much so that my friend and I googled the show during the intermission to find out what the story line was. We were rudly told by a section attendent to put our phones away or leave the areana & that it was not the areana's rule but that of Cirque due Soleil. This woman spent the entire show running up an down the stairs basically yelling at people & creating a huge distraction. Now her attitude had nothing to do with Cirque du Soleil so I don't hold that against them but what I don't understand is why can't I use my phone during intermission, during the show I get, but intermission? 1. I was reasearching the show, 2. I have a child at home that I was checking in with our care provider. and 3. It's intermission. Bottom line is this experience was not worth the money at all. I will really think hard before purchasing tickets to another Cirque du Soleil show.

I enjoyed the show. As I always enjoy Cirque du Soleil shows. I have seen over 10 unique shows. This is the second time i see the show. I first saw it in 2002 and again this month. I forgot i saw it previously. It did not make an impression then or now. There are a few things I disliked about Quidam. For one, the arena setting takes away a lot of the mystique and wonder of the Grand Chapiteau (Big blue and yellow tent). In the arena you see the aisle lights on, you don't get to see the performers faces very well unless you purchased floor seats and people are never on time and interrupt the show. Cirque is supposed to capture your imagination and transport you into their world of magic. This is not possible in an arena. The Chapiteau is dark and intimate. No matter where you sit, you will see the performers up close and personal. Nothing else like it. As for the show it self. The story does not really connect and most of the performances are half par compared to their other shows. I really did want to love this show. But it doesn't make 5 stars for me.

This was my first Cirque show, and I was blown away! I saw DVDs, but seeing it live was another animal altogether. The production quality was amazing. The lighting was flawless and effective. The sound, while a bit loud, really resonated. Being able to feel the sound was almost overwhelming. The low-end sound (read bass) in very specific parts vibrated me to my core, and added immeasurably to the overall experience. The band did a fantastic job, and reproduced all of the music flawlessly (from what I could tell) The actual performers did a phenomenal job. Some of the routines were changed from the DVDs I saw prior to the show, but I really preferred the alterations. I saw only three mistakes during the show, but all three were extremely minor. I feel that pointing them out would be nit-picking. The performances were simply jaw-dropping. Even though the performers were extremely proficient, a very real sense of danger was present throughout the show. The last act had my palms sweating and excitement at peak levels. This was my first Cirque show, but it certainly won't be my last. After the show, my wife and I went to the Cirque website to sign up for their mailing list. We're already saving for our next Cirque experience :)

The music is amazing and the fact that its a live band in the background of the stage made the hole experience more thrilling.

My wife and I agree that this show must have been put on by the backups to the backup performers from Cirque Du Soleil. We chuckled at the antics of the movie director clown, but the rest of the show consisted of less-than-amazing feats like; jumping rope, balancing, swinging from rings; Seriously - 15 minutes or more of people jumping rope (felt like hours). At least 15 minutes (really...it felt like an hour or more) of two attractive people, painted like marble statues, moving very slowly and doing balancing feats which wouldn't likely get them to the next phase of America's Got Talent - it was slow and boring and not anything unique, new or particularly interesting and the music was just a terrible, slow pulsating noise that was probably supposed to build tension as these folks did a 2-position balancing act that I've seen countless times before and better performed every time. There were pretty girls swinging on big rings, a guy reading a newspaper, an awkward headless man costume with an umbrella and a guy with wooden wing frames that ran around the stage - but this wasn't artistically done or part of an underlying story as was the case with the previous 3 Cirque Du Soleil shows that I've seen (and was blown away by) - this just looked like some reasonably talented high school kids got a hold of some Cirque gear and put on a show. I paid $75 per ticket and I will never buy another ticket to a Cirque Du Soleil show ever again. It was a struggle to stay awake for parts of the show - but I kept my eyes open and took in every disappointing second of it. As I look through the YouTube videos and Google Image results for the show - at least 20% of the stuff I see there didn't happen at the show I attended. They probably had sick or missing performers, which might explain why they wasted so much time jumping rope and having statue people moving really slow without doing anything interesting.

Wonderful way to spend the afternoon. In some aspects very traditional with acrobatics and juggling, etc. but visually awesome with a modern twist. I could tell the performers were so dedicated and well trained. Some of the balancing and flying was really unbelievable. Just amazing. I would go to another show and hope one comes soon.

For a road show, Quidam was very entertaining. The audience participation segments were a bit too long.

I've attended several Cirque shows while living in California and was very excited to see them coming to North Dakota. I think it is a relatively new show or a new cast, the storyline was a little tough to get in to at first, but the acts are phenomenal!

Anniversary date with the Mrs and our six year old daughter. For each of us, our first time to a Cirque du Soleil show. Quidam, to put it mildly, was Spectacular! It was "mesmerizing" from the start. It was dynamic in it's presentation and of its use of colors to engage the audience's senses. My wife, daughter and I were so engrossed with the feats and mystical treats of Quidam, we forgot to talk to one another. And for family's with small children, you know that is quite a feat in and of itself. (Smile) The first hour and a half went by very quickly then it's time for the intermission. A 20 minute quick stretch of the legs, including a potty break and we're back in our seats ready for more. The second part picks up its paces and starts delivering one big performance after another. For me, this is where all the real exciting performances start to appear (don't want to give away too much). I would highly recommend a Cirque du Soleil show for any family .. Enjoy!

I took my wife to the show and we both loved it. If you have not seen Quidam before spend the money and go, you will not be disappointed .

Quidam was the first Cirque du Soleil show I ever saw, years ago. It was haunting and beautiful & I've not missed a Cirque performance since. I was elated when they announced it was coming back! It is one of my 2 favorites. I prefer the darker, moodier shows to the bright & shiny ones and this being about a little girl's dreams, it's exactly the sort of thing that appeals to me. Cirque is always stunning and they did not let me down this time. Beautiful, soaring performances, incredible strength and agility, gorgeous stage lighting & the original music was lovely. I really appreciate that the music is original AND that the band plays live with each performance. This adds a whole other dimension. Once again, Cirque did a fantastic job. Everyone should see them at least once.

I have been to 7 Cirque du Soleil shows. This has been my least favorite. I was a bit disappointed. The stage set up was so simple & boring. It was an inclination of how lacking the show would be. I still love Cirque du Soleil and don't regret going to Quidam. I wouldn't miss any Cirque du Soleil show. I just wish Quidam had more excitement. It was really slow. This was my parents' first Cirque show. It was an anniversary present to them from me. My father fell asleep. I can't say I blame him.

I have been waiting many years for this particular Cirque show to visit the US. I'm extra glad that it was in an appropriate venue close to my relative location. I only wish it was here longer so that I could see it again.

Cirque du Soleil's Quidam was the first show I learned about that the company put together. After 10 years of owning the DVD, I finally was able to watch in person! This wasn't a sold out show, because of location, but it made it great. After the intermission, we were able to move down to closer seats than we purchased. The act have changed a little bit from the DVD, but still GREAT! The rings trio only had 1 ring, which was disappointing, but still, the performance was great. When they pulled the audience up on stage to take part in one of the acts, they had the entire audience laughing! This show gave me chills!! Thanks Cirque du Soleil!

I have been to many of these shows and this was the first one I was disappointed in. NOT DUE TO THE PERFORMERS, they were, as always, JUST AMAZING TALENT. But the lack of set, difficulty in showing story line, and stage layout to seating made for a very disappointing experience. This was a Christmas gift to my 85 year old mother, and she was moving back and forth behind the head in front of her to try and see the show. Thank goodness, the ushers let us move to better seats with their apologies.

Always amazing performers, but the story and stage fell flat. After Allegria and "O", I thought it was a disappointment personally. As for first timers, the performers have amazing talent. The show just didn't flow well...

I have seen many of the Cirque du Soleil shows, at Germain Arena, in Orlando and in Las Vegas. Though Quidam was good, it was not great like some of the others I have seen. It seemed to be lacking some of the more exciting content and also seemed shorter time-wise. All of the seats in Germain are good for a show like this, though i would recommend being up a bit and not in floor seats. You get to see the "big picture" if your seats are higher up. Overall a good performance.

It was a good representation of Cirque du Soleil, however I have seen some of their other shows (both at their location and on the road) and I felt this wasn't as good as their other ones. The performers were great and the stage rocked, but the over all feel wasn't as awesome as the others. I do look forward to the next traveling show as I am sure I will once again be amazed.

As always Cirque De Soleil has a way to capture the audience with their show. My family and I loved it and can't wait for the next show to come to town and experience another great show they provide. Great job to all of their skilled acrobatics and staff.

Most talented and theatric perforance. All of the performers were first class and gave off a fantastic show. Only one thing that I found a bother was the lighting. Much too "artsy" and did not give the audiance an opportunity to see the faces of the performers even at the end when they took their well deserved bows.

I've seen Quidam about 3 years ago and because of that I was reluctant to purchase tickets for this show. I am sooooooooo glad I have changed my mind. The basic theme was the same as before but the performances were outstanding. New performers doing the same routines as before and they were as good if not better. All in all it was a fantastic experience once again.

Somewhat disappointed in this show. Have seen several others that were fabulous. Not enough "air" talent. The skit with in audience participation was quite good. loved the fact that it was held at Germain as it is a smaller venue and all the seats were great.
